Can we have an option to group tiers into a category (probably called a metagame) in which all the tiers within that are based on the same conditions and clauses? This would help establish that for instance LC, later VGC or even a metagame unique to one server are not results of the same tiering process. This suggestion is for more in terms of the menu bar but could also provide a quicker means of grouping them in scripting also.
To make something like this with the menu bar: (It doesn't align but hopefully you know what I mean) |File|Style|Options|Metagame|Battles | \-/ Standard - > Ubers LC -> Ubers OU OU BL BL UU UU And the option that you can assign clauses or conditions to one of those metagames and it assigns for all the tiers within it. It would be good if you were able to enforce clauses in a simple format kind of way also. I feel it's a pretty fundamental thing and you should be able to decide them without the use of scripting.
Sorry, I don't really get you (must be because I'm tired) Could you do a paint drawing ? (like with Mai's vision of europe xD)
Requiring players to select the main metagames from a group would be an inconvenience to the majority. What exactly would be the point of this, though? Are members of a group supposed to inherit qualities from the group - or is this merely organizational? If the latter, requiring players to select OU, UU, NU, etc. seems pointless.
I don't see the point of having tiering battles in Little Cup. As not that many people even play Little Cup. There wouldn't be a difference of having Little Cup Ubers or Little Cup UU. As those tiers aren't really organized.
It doesn't have to be Little Cup. It can be mono poison, Challenge Cup (which can't be a tiered metagame), Metronome, Standard without SR... etc. These are examples. The idea itself is to just have the option to categorise tiers into their metagames in order for the tiers to (in the word of Kioku) inherit conditions (requisites) and clauses set on the metagame. If there was enough space on the menu bar, you could have both metagames and tiers. So if there is just one metagame, you can still select the tier just as easy. If you were familiar with NB, it would just be a better version of Stadiums. I'm finding it hard to be explicit because it's kind of like suggesting a team builder - I'm sure I couldn't suggest every single detail and expect you to do everything in the way I specified. But it wouldn't mean it was a bad idea. I believe this is a step forward for the current way tiers are differentiated.
Servers having the capability to organize their tiers/metagames into groups isn't a bad idea. Members within said group could possess the same properties ( unless the tier within says different ). Let's say there is a no entry hazards metagame group. Its members could include OU, UU, and Stealth rock ( for the sake of explaining the logic ). Example: - No entry hazards; no entry hazard moves |-OU; Blah, server can ban ubers |-UU; Blah, same deal |-Stealth Rock; Stealth rock being allowed in this

Currently it's not a problem, but hey. Could encourage diversification of competitive Pokemon.
