team builder stats should reflect choice items

When you add a choice item (specs/band/scarf) the stats in the teambuilder should reflect the stat after the choice boost, so you can EV properly if you want to achieve a certain stat value.

If it is possible, can be a good idea.

Yes, that would be very helpful. I also think Life Orb should reflect the same stat boost. A 30% increase in Attack and SpAtk stats.

wise glasses/muscle band too. type boost items are questionable though.

Good thinking on the Wise Glasses and Muscle Band. I don't think it should reflect type-reliant boosting items since they only boost that type, not the stat.

Good idea - but there's a couple of issues:

    1. Only the choice items actually affect the stat as such. Life Orb is calculated close to the CH multiplier and the wise glasses/muscle band increase the base power.

    2. The flooring done after every calculation. Under no stat boosting/stat decreasing, the choice items are only really affected by abilities due to their proximity to the original stat - so I'm assuming the most the stat on the team builder can be out by is 1. However the other items are clearly calculated much further way and so the team builder displayed stat could be more different.

I see, might be best to just restrict to choice then.

Yea, I was thinking of this issue. Makes sense that we should just stick to Choice items.

Well i know this is not a huge thing... but when i equip a choice item (scarf, specs, band) on a pokémon, i think that will be very useful if the team builder shows, like in a green color, how much points that pokemon will got equipped with that item.

    Think about it xD

Start --> All programs ---> Accessories ---> Calculator

Put in the stat. Do the stat x 1.5.

    Problem solved.

Seriously, I don't see why this is necessary.

I don't see why people need a calculator for multiplying by 1.5 ^

I think it would actually be handy and have no disadvantages, especially with evolite and the like around. Not massively important, but it'd be nice for newer players at least. Not everyone has memorized the boosts, and I'd bet a fair few people who play would prefer not to multiply 329 by 1.5/open a separate tool, even if they could easily enough.

It's not hard to put in the sim and I think a lot of people would appreciate it. I know its simple and yeah, x1.5 isn't a hard calculation but its just a little handy thing to put in. You see how much a stats gets boosted in battle, why not in the builder, too?

Also, that reminds me: in a battle, when you boost stats or lower them using a stats modding move it shows the altered stats when you hover over the pokemon. However when the pokemon is burned I've never been able to see the actual change. Any reason why?

You can see the Pokémon being burnt, so you automatically know it has half attack than usual.

As for the suggestion, I agree with it. Even if it's a simple thing, something that's helpful can never be bad after it's been developed.

Burnt pokemon don't actually have their attack modified, but the damage output when attacking halved. It's different, as halving the attack stat directly wouldn't give the exact damage.

I remember they had this back in Shoddy Battle. It would be helpful for Eviolite and Choiced Items. (And Life Orb, thought I'm not sure if it increases attack damage by 1.3x or the stat itself.)

Ah, I never thought it was any different because it halved the attack back on NB and NB Supremacy (I HATED Shoddy). Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Regardless, still backing up the idea on which the thread was started.

As well as the three choice items, Life Orb, Wise Glasses, Muscle Band, Thick Club, DeepSeaTooth, Light Ball, Soul Dew, Metal Powder, and Eviolite's effect on stats would be very nice to have displayed in teambuilder. Even though they don't technically change the stats, it would make it significantly easier for new players to easily compare the stats of different Pokemon almost entirely accurately.

If this does get implemented, I'd prefer it if the changed stats were listed alongside the unchanged stats. Perhaps it could be a tooltip thing instead, where you hover over the stat in the team builder and it says "720 Attack - Choice Band, Pure Power).

He has a point, pure power should also be listed, as well as other stat modifying abilities possibly (like attack after guts, speed after quick feet)
