It has enough speed to outspeed Espeon and Jumpluff, meaning the only non-boosted things that beat it are Floatzel, Persian, Purugly and Electrode. Also OHKO's Primeape with Zen Headbutt, but it's likely that those are Scarfed, so I would suggest switching to Nidoqueen. The main purpose of it is to set up Stealth Rocks and/or Explode on anything that threatens to sweep you. Drifblim is a beast. It has two immunities, both of which are used in NU, and those give it the opportunity to come in and begin setting up. Qwilfish is the best bet against Stallrein. It comes in and begins setting up, which is often enough to make a Pokemon switch out. You could run Waterfall over Aqua Jet, but that would mean this team would have no priority moves, which could be a problem. Nidoqueen has a beautiful set of resistences, and surprisingly strong defences to back it up. It's main purpose is to check Primeape and Skuntank, while setting up the dangerous Toxic Spikes. After TS are set up and dangers are gone, it really has nothing to do but pseudo-scout, because it doesn't have fantastic Attack. Sharpedo. My favourite revenge killer, this thing can stop Espeon in its tracks if its sub is down. The Scarf lets it outspeed mostly everything, and I would rather not shorten its already short lifespan with Life Orb. Gabite is mainly a staple on this team, keeping it together. It has good resistences, high-mediocre stats, and a nice movepool. It rarely takes anything by surprise, but few people carry ice attacks in NU. I find this team to be well-balanced. So far, I've had problems with Linoone, but that's only if I allow it the turn it needs to set up. Espeon can be a problem if Sharpedo is down, but that's a risk I'm willing to take. While Solrock's set may be unconventional, I really do suggest at least trying it. I find it to work swell with this team.
Nice team Juggler. Have you considered running Trick on Solrock? Could screw over a few common leads...
pointing out that Drifblim has three immunities, not two; and that Solrock is better without Trick, Sleuth, since most leads in NU are anti-leads and not SR leads, and scarfing a pokemon made to kill is a bad idea - so the set is indeed very nice. All in all, a very nice team.
Heh, I know precious little about NU. All the same, I like Solrock a lot; but if most Ape's are scarfed, why not run a different move over Zen Headbutt? Trick is perhaps, as Gold pointed out, the best choice, but hell, there must be something else.
Well, Solrock could run Stone Edge. But it has lower Accuracy, and with STAB, Zen Headbutt is stronger than Earthquake. Earthquake is just there to help coverage, so if any slot were taken, I would suggest Earthquake. Trick is an idea, but not one I would try on this set.
