A new teambuilder update was released. The Teambuilder is loading almost instantly now (doesn't take 5 seconds anymore) and a plugin system was added, which allows you to transfer teams very easily to the Android PO app: (from the wiki page) PC Side Download the latest PC client and install it. Open the PC client and click Teambuilder. Create your team as normal, or import one of your old teams. When you are happy with your team, click "Plugins" in the top menu bar then "Export team to QRCode." (Add the plugin if necessary using the Plugin manager) Android Side Download the latest Android client and install it. Open your Pokemon-Online Android Client and press "Import Team." Select "From QR code" and press "Import" If you do not have Barcode Scanner installed, you will be prompted to install Barcode Scanner. Press "Yes" Install Barcode Scanner. Press "Free" to install then "Yes" to accept permissions. Now press your back button to go back to the server list, then repeat steps 1-3. Point your device's camera at the QRCode you exported on your PC (Or any other QRCode that is a valid PO team) and your team will be automatically uploaded to your device and set as your default team. Note: To verify, your name should appear in the "Trainer Name" box and you will see a short pop-up notification on the bottom of the screen. Big thanks to all the android devs for this, and Der Soldat/Mikewando for this particular feature! Download here (The Mac version will come soon)
i've tried installing this twice to my PC, after each attempt i looked for the QRCode option as to put it into my Gen 5 NU RMT (Archer is trying to encourage the Addition of them) the option wasn't there (and i've looked under the plugins tab).
You need to add it through the plugin manager: Plugin Manager > Add Plugin, then select the plugin, and there it is.
I tried using this and I liked it, but the only problem I had with it was when I push tab on the main chat, it says 5th Gen or Side Metagames, instead of switching to Find Battle or Exit... so I went back to the other version.
Is it possible to have the Android importable to be text-based? Currently, the only ways to put the QRCode into RMTs that I've found is by taking a screenshot and uploading the image to an image upload site, then taking the uploaded image and placing it in the RMT, or attaching the screenshot onto the RMT thread.
Yeah, I noticed that yesterday too when I was thinking about writing an RMT. I think the screenshot method will have to do for now because ASCII QR codes are a lot more difficult to keep consistent across different platforms.
Acutally something could be done like using the advanced editor on the forum and making a draggable picture with the plugin, then it would just be dragging the qr code into the "Reply to Thread" box. (If anybody is up to it)
On Android or on the PC? On the PC it will show up in your HP/status bar. On Android, this feature is currently in development.
I want it to be either release or nothing. Because currently it is 'sure there is a release but actually you should use something else'. It's bad. If release has no purpose it should be removed. And I hope you've added minor/revision version to this release, riiight? :} EDIT: maybe tags will be better that separate branch anyway.
If you want once pickup & other stuff is sorted out we can release 1.0.24 my problem with minor version numbers is that it'll display a warning message if client & server don't have the same minor version number. Like sometimes the client gets update but the server is fine, or the reverse, and there is no reason their minor version number should be synchronized. Actually, thinking about it, maybe add .xxx after 1.0.23, like 1.0.23.012, for the minor version number which doesn't need to be synchro with server's?
I'm getting errors when I try to download the file for PC. It says it can't replace existing files. If that doesn't make sense I'll screenshot it if I have to.
I could've sworn I had it closed when I updated...I'm kind of embarrassed now. Thanks though, update worked (obviously).
Also, how about zipped versions instead of installers too? Some player on Windows complained about 'setup file is corrupted blahblah'. It happens way too often :\
The corrupt installers are mostly because Sourceforge's file uploader needs to jump off a cliff and die in a fire.
How about we just use the second group for updates that need to be synched and the third for those that don't? I don't see any point in leaving it 0 and appending more numbers.
