    PO Trainer Name:
    Meh
In our new metagame of Generation 5 Overused. I see nothing but the same on every team, I used to use these things myself, but it bored me, mirror matches would be everywhere. More of a matter of Luck in most cases. I began to miss the gen 4 days, especially when I would use full fledged offense to crush my foes. I then decided that I am no longer going to follow everyone else, I am going to build an offensive team, and I am going to beat weather with it. With this as my aim, and Nexus at my aid, this team became constructed. Yes maybe it does not have much achievements, but for a fact it is indeed a fun team to use for me, it involves a lot of mindgames, a lot of prediction, and a lot of attacking. I no longer wanted to become number 1, I just wanted people to stop using Stall and Weather, I wanted to remind them of how we used to play in Gen 4. If you say that offensive teams have no success. PKMG_Soledad is a fellow Weatherless offensive user, and he has peaked at rank 1. I encourage you to start using weather-less. Please remember, I have specifically chosen slightly Bulky Pokemon and I treat this team as more of a Bulky offensive team over Hyper offense. With that said. I will now begin to reveal the team.

I actually began to attempt using stall when I first began my weatherless journey... however I soon realised why I was never attracted to stall. A team must be good, good enough to pack a lot of offense. Prediction is the heart of a team, without prediction even the best team can go down the drain. Synergy is the soul of a team, without it your team is very well just garbage.

    The Construction Of This Team.
As I mentioned, I wanted to start making teams how I used to make them, get a set up sweeper and build a team around it. But now this was a tricky task, especially considering how very bad I am at team construction. Nexus helped me a lot. So, I wanted a Set up sweeper, who could destroy majority weather abusing threats, and be guaranteed if not two, at least one chance to set up. Thinking about this, and my favorite sweeper, I chose Dragon Dance Dragonite. As mentioned below, Dragonite is like the spinal cord of a weatherless team, it is a bringer of a lot of success. With it's new Dream World Ability called Multiscale, it is surely a beast. Multiscale halves the damage of an attack when the wielder of this ability is at maximum hit points. This means I would be able to set up my Dragon Dance most of the times. It also learns Extremespeed, a +2 priority move, and I have felt that priority is a very essential thing in this metagame. Since I was using an offensive team, I was not going to be using a bulky set, I wanted a full fledged offensive Pokemon.

Despite all these positive points, Dragonite has a lot weaknesses not regarding it's typing. Although Multiscale is a very nice ability, with Stealth Rock it becomes a major issue. Now as I am running offense, I was going to be using Synergy to help my team live. Dragonite mainly suffers from a weakness of Ice. After looking through most Rapid Spinners, I noticed one of the best ones for my case was Starmie. Starmie had it's ability Natural Cure, it could absorb status ailments for me (sadly not my own) and if it was bulky, could live a lot of Ice type attacks, mainly Ice beam. It's Psychic typing meant a weakness to bug, which was covered up by Dragonite. Sadly I could not find a rapid spinner with better Synergy, thus I decided to use it.

So after the addition of Starmie, I realised I needed a good wall for it's weaknesses of Electricity. Sadly I failed to find a reliable ground type, (I still do consider Quagsire however) thus I decided to use a wall which I stopped using for a long time. Porygon 2 generally very decent bulk when it comes to it by itself. But in Gen 5, and item called the eviolite has been released. This item increases both defenses of a Pokemon by 50% provided that the holder of this item was not fully evolved, may it be a baby pokemon or a middle stage one. One thing which Porygon2 has that not many other things have, it's ability of trace. Trace, as the name implies, traces the opponents ability and makes it your own until the pokemon is switched out. This includes: Lightning Rod. Speed Boost. Motor Drive. Sap Sipper. Multiscale. Magic Mirror. Poison Heal. Levitate and so on. With access to the move recover, I decided that it would be a very good wall. Synergetically it actually did some good by being a ghost immunity, and Dragonite and Starmie both resist it's one weakness, fighting type. And it had access to Toxic, a very nice crippling move, and access to the almost unresisted coverage of bolt beam.

So. Now I noticed that there was a sudden new lack of Sweepers, particularly Special ones. A recommendation of Nexus' was that I use Gengar. Overall looking at it: A fighting Immunity, a very fast Pokemon, a very strong pokemon combined with a life orb, access to the move substitute, access to pain split, access to a fighting and Ghost type move which have very nice coverage. A pokemon which bug moves effect 0.25 times upon. I could not see many negative reasons at all to use it. It's ability levitate also mean't an additional Ground immunity, which although I didn't need, was not a bad thing, and could create opportunities to switch in. The fact that majority of the walls were quite weak to Gengar, like Gliscor, Jellicent and Ferrothorn, meant that Gengar could be quite good for this team. Being a poison type, it also aids as absorbing toxic which would be very bad for Porygon2. So I added it to my team with it's now infamous, Sub-Split set.

Now. I noticed that my Special to Physical Ratio was a very nice 3-1. Although I could deal with Blissey using Gengar, I still needed another Physical Attacker. Since I guessed I would need to add a choiced Pokemon sooner or later, so I decided to add something with a choice band. Now looking over it, I had two fire resists. Thus I decided to use Scizor. Scizor had access to Bullet Punch, a simple 40 base power Priority move that got Stab. It also had access to U-Turn, a 70 base power move that hurt a lot. I decided to use it then. It also gave me another Ice Resist. Which was generally very good. A new switch in to scarf Genesect.

Stealth Rock. I consider this the heart of all offensive teams, and the spinal cord of Set up sweepers. I thus required it. Now looking over the team, I guess I needed a good reliable mixed attacker, who could launch powerful stab moves which would wreck a lot of defensive pokemon. Noticing how annoying Skarm/Bliss had become, I decided to use Infernape. The reasons for this will be described below.

    A Closer Look
A Pokemon can deceive you unless you properly look at it. Mark my words on that. Begin:

    [IMG] (M) @[IMG]
Infernape (The Angry Flame Monkey) @ Focus Sash
    Trait: Blaze
    EVs: 204 Atk / 52 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Rash Nature (+SAtk, -SDef)
    - Stealth Rock
    - Close Combat
    - Mach Punch
    - Fire Blast

    Overview:
As a lead, Infernape holds a Focus Sash. Meaning it can take one hit no matter what it is. So this is my pokemon that I usually lead with. I previously played him suicidal style however now he has become an asset for the team. The Focus Sash itself helps me stop so much set up sweepers in their place. This lead has been chosen because of the fact that at least 30% leads are easily beaten by it. Tyranitar and Ferrothorn mainly. The fact that they will switch means that I have a free chance to set up my rocks. Espeon is a pokemon you must be cautious of with it's ability to reflect rock's back. However I am sure Team Preview fixes that issue. The tactic is very simple, set up your rocks, and either attack or run, depending on the scenario. Most of the times I run so that I can conserve him to take out some notably irritating threats like Scizor or Ferrothorn.
The EV's are very strange. Max speed to outspeed a lot of things, but not a +Spd nature. Fire Blast is the only special attacker, however it hurts Gliscor a lot when it very stupidly switches in. Fire Blast is ALSO powered up by Blaze. Meaning it reaches a base power of 270 then which hurts just about anything it hit's neutrally. So the Atk and SAtk ev's work very well. Fire Blast 2HKO'ing Gliscor. Close Combat OHKO'ing max defense max hp Tyranitar's (it may not seem like an achievement, but I saw one survive a Close combt from Infernape). Mach Punch is there (by the recommendation of everyone) so that I can have some priority which helps beat Excadrill down. Not just Excadrill, but also Lead Mamoswine's. The Nature is so that Fire Blast hurts a lot, and the -SDef is so that Scarf Tyranitar's Stone Edge is NOT an OHKO. Although +Atk is sometimes more advisable for Mach Punch to hurt Genesect much more.

    Possible Changes:
Add Grass Knot over one move so that I no longer have problems with Swampert and Quagsire. Add Hidden Power Ice so that I can hit Dragonite hard. Add Earthquake for hitting Tentacruel very hard. Add Fake out, although I dislike it. All these move changes will be made over Mach Punch if you are insisting on making them. Changing the nature to a +Atk or +Spd nature.[/HIDE]

    Resistances for the team:
    Fire: Aids Scizor in survival
Steel: Well Specs Heatran can tickle the team I guess ?
    Grass: Aids Starmie in survival
    Bug: Aid's Starmie in survival
Dark: Aid's Starmie and Gengar in survival
    Ice: Aid's Dragonite in survival

    Who covers what weakness:
Psychic weakness: Starmie and Scizor both Aid
Water Weakness: Starmie and Dragonite both Aid
Flying Weakness: Not covered. (This is a very bad point, but no, my flying weakness remains uncovered)
Ground Weakness: Dragonite and Gengar aid.
    [IMG] (M) @[IMG]

Scizor (The Bug Of Destruction) @ Choice Band
    Trait: Technician
    EVs: 244 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Def
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Bullet Punch
    - U-turn
    - Pursuit
    - Superpower

    Overview:
A true bane for many Pokemon. Basically a Bulky Choice Band Scizor. I am using the bulkier versions due to the fact that as I mentioned, I consider this a bulky offensive team over Hyper offense. This Pokemon's main role is to revenge kill. If a pokemon has died, he will most probably come in and make the opponent flee in fear (barring you know Blaziken, that Chicken just shish kebabs me, not to mention Dunsparace with it's bulk :x). Now Bullet Punch is generally a very weak move with only 40 BP powered up by stab. However, Scizor's magical ability called Technician, any move with base power of/less than 60 will get powered up by 50%. Meaning we are not talking about just 60 Base Power, we are talking about 90. Now 90 base power can be very dangerous, especially when coming of a Attack stat of over 500. U-Turn is the main move utilized. With it's nice ability to scout what is going to happen while denting the opponent a bit and switching out to an appropriate Pokemon for the condition. Pursuit is a very nifty move. With a Base Power of 40, it reaches 60 base power. Now if you are to run this move, you must be great at prediction. This move gets to a nifty 120 base power provided the opponent is switching out on that turn. This helps destroy Choice users who are stuck into a very bad move for hitting Scizor like Psychic, Shadow Ball etcetera. Not only Choice users, but if you are good enough, you can use it to KO other pokemon as well. It all depends on prediction this move. I suggest switching it to Quick Attack if you don't believe that prediction is everything. Superpower. This move got bit of a power up now by 20 base power points. Meaning a mean 120 base power move. If all my moves hit neutrally, this is by far the strongest. This move helps deal with pesky Steel/Normal(lol)/Dark types(provided I am not blasted to bits first of course). This move can help beat Ferrothorn, who will not enjoy it as it 2HKO's Max Hp/ Max defense bold Ferrothorn. If that is not power, what is?
Possible Changes: Change Pursuit to quick attack, provided you find no use of Pursuit. [/HIDE]

    Resistances for the team:
Poison: Makes a good switch in to Toxic
    Ice: Aids Dragonite in survival
Normal: Choice Band Linoone owns me I guess?
    Bug: Aids Starmie in survival
    Grass: Aids Starmie in survival
Ghost: Aids Gengar and Starmie in survival
Psychic: Aids Infernape and Gengar in survival
Dark: Aids Gengar and Starmie in survival

    Weaknesses covered by the team:
    Fire: Starmie aids in survival
Porygon does so too to if you are facing a Flash Fire user.
    [IMG] (M) @[IMG]
Gengar (Ectoplasm of Doom) @ Life Orb
    Trait: Levitate
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Focus Blast
    - Substitute
    - Pain Split
    - Shadow Ball

    Overview:
This Pokemon is a very tough special attacker. Sub-Split Gengar. A very standard pokemon that was pretty much seen everywhere in Gen 4. Nexus recommended it and I decided to give it a try in Gen 5. I never looked back since then. Most of the other special attackers are Psychic types so Shadow Ball blasts their brains out. Definetly a fearful pokemon with it's good speed and special attack, access to almost completely unresisted coverage and access to a way to beat every Special attackers most feared wall: Blissey. Standard moveset: Focus Blast is a 120 base power special fighting type move. Focus Blast Generally covers most of that which is not covered by shadow ball. It has the potentian to OHKO a lot of things. From what I have seen, the accuracy compensation is worth it, especially since I have substitute. Substitute: now this move is amazing. It creates a decoy using 1/4th of my HP, which will take any attack for me. Considering Gengar's poor bulk, it is unable to take any attack without it. Not only attacks but this decoy will also prevent you from being affected by staus ailments from the opponent. Overall A great move for this Pokemon. Definetly helps. Pain Split. This move adds the HP of both the user and the target, and the equally distributes it. That's right, this means Gengar gets a free heal while also damaging the opponent. This also means Blissey is completely destroyed, provided it does not carry an attack like Ice Beam or Flamethrower. Shadow Ball is obviously the main stab move used to destroy most pokemon. 80 base power with STAB powering it up to 120. The EV's are fairly simple. Max SAtk so that it hurts as hard as possible, max Spd so that it is able to outspeed a lot and hit them before they realise they are even on the field. The Nature is so that I can speed tie with other Special Sweepers like Espeon and Latios. All in all a great sweeper. He has swept so many teams without breaking a sweat, 1/2 HKOing a lot of pokemon.
Possible changes: Adding Disable, Thunderbolt, Giga Drain or Destiny Bond. [/HIDE]
Resistances and immunities provided to the team:
Ground (Using Levitate): Aids Infernape in survival
Normal: Having Extra Resistances is a good thing
    Fighting: Aids Porygon2 in survival
    Bug: Aids Starmie in survival
    Grass: Aids Starmie in survival
Poison: Having extra resistances is good

    Weaknesses covered by the team:
Psychic: Scizor and Starmie aid in survival
Ghost: Scizor and porygon2 aid in survival
Dark: Infernape and Scizor aid in survival
    Ground(Moldbreaker): Dragonite aids in survival
    [IMG] (N) @[IMG]
    Porygon2 (DD-Daring Duck) @ Eviolite
    Trait: Trace
    EVs: 212 HP / 120 Def / 176 SDef
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Ice Beam
    - Discharge
    - Toxic
    - Recover

    Overview:
Questioning this little Duck's bulk is a foolish thing to do. With Mediocre defenses, it was not much of a wall in Gen 4. Now, with the release of the new item called the eviolite; a stone that, when held, increases the defenses of the wielder by 50% provided the Pokemon is not fully evolved. This means this thing goes from defenses of about over 250, to defenses above 400 with this spread. Access to almost unresisted coverage, a crippling move and a reliable healing method, this pokemon is definetely going to give you trouble. Ice Beam. This move helps me hit Dragons very hard. Discharge hits other things with an evil 30% chance to paralyse the opponent. Toxic is the main crippling move, if I can't deal with some annoying pokemon *cough* Quagsire *cough*, then Toxic helps cripple them very badly. Recover helps Toxic stalling and also in making this last much longer. The best part about this duck: It's ability. Trace is avery nifty ability that makes the opponents ability my own until I switch out. This means it can trace: Flash Fire, Lightning Rod, Volt Absorb, Water Absorb and Multiscale, making this duck becomes much more of a problem. All in all a very good defensive pokemon, it can take out a lot of things 1 on 1, with good coverage at it's side.
    Possible Changes: Adding Magic Coat[/HIDE]

Resistances and Immunities provided to the team:
Ghost: Aids Gengar and Starmie in survival
Other than that nothing, because it honestly does not need it.
Using trace it can become immune to a lot of other things.

    Weaknesses covered by the team:
Fight: Gengar, Starmie and Dragonite aid in survival
    [IMG] (N) @ [IMG]
    Starmie @ Leftovers
    Trait: Natural Cure
    EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SDef
    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Rapid Spin
    - Recover
    - Surf
    - Psychic

    Overview:
An additional defensive pokemon. This Pokemon mainly serves as my rapid spinner, something my team greatly appreciates. Starmie has been known to always be an offensive pokemon, but I noticed that it could actually be a very decent defensive pokemon by the fact that it had very decent stats, access to recover and the fact that Natural Cure means it can escape status ailments. The set is basically a simple defensive rapid spinner. Rapid Spin to blow away Entry hazards. Stealth Rock irritates Dragonite and Scizor while Toxic Spikes are detested by Porygon2, and spikes generally being the annoyance it is. With Rapid spin, I can remove these stupid things and annoy the opponent. Recover means he can serve as a tank as well, taking a lot of hits and returning a heck load of damage. A notable pokemon is Excadrill. It takes X-Scissor non boosted for about 87% while Surf if a clean KO. Surf is a move to cause some damage. Hurting things like Gliscor and Darmantian (on the switch) for a lot of damage. Psychic used to be Thunderbolt but fighting types mainly breloom were annoying me. With this set, I outspeed and OHKO Breloom with Psychic, meaning it does it's job. One of my favourite Pokemon, definitely an annoyance to Hazard dependant teams. Psychic is sometimes swapped back to thunderbolt as Jellicent really annoys.
Possible Changes: Adding Thunderbolt or Ice Beam [/HIDE]

    Resistances given to the team:
    Water: Aids Infernape in survival
    Fire: Aids Scizor in survival
Psychic: Aids Infernape and Gengar in survival
    Ice: Aids Dragonite in survival
    Fighting: Aids Porygon2 in survival
Steel: Extra resistances are good to have

    Weaknesses covered by the team:
Electric: Uncovered. Mostly Porygon2 takes anything, but yes again a very bad point
Bug: Gengar, Dragonite, Infernape and Scizor all aid in survival
Grass: Gengar, Dragonite, Infernape and Scizor all aid in survival
Dark: Scizor and Infernape aid in survival
Ghost: Porygon2 and Scizor aid in survival
    [IMG] (M) @ [IMG]
    Trait: Multiscale
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Dragon Dance
    - ExtremeSpeed
    - Fire Punch
    - Dragon Claw

    Overview:
Oh boy. I loved Dragonite in Gen 4 enough, now look at him. Defiantly a fearful pokemon. This is the main base of this team, DragonDance Dragonite. Dragon Dance is an amazing, and by far the best set up move for me. Dragon Dance boosts the Attack and Speed by 50%, this is like using a choice band and a choice scarf together. With it's very scary attack stat, a 50% increase is something you should be scared off. Extremespeed is a +2 priority move with a base power of 80. Hard hitting? Ofcourse. This move is quite an asset for me as it helps me conserve multiscale when I don't need to risk it (like if there is a weakened Breloom) by letting me hit first and most probably kill the opponents weakened pokemon. Fire Punch is a move with very good coverage aside Dragon Claw, covering Ferrothorn, Scizor and others. Dragon Claw is the main STAB. A 120 Base Power move after stab. This Pokemon is a real powerhouse. Now it has a new ability called Multiscale. This ability halves the damage of any move attacking me provided the wielder is at Full HP. This means I am mostly guaranteed at least One Dragon Dance, sometimes which is enough. This is also my main counter to sun sweepers, and counter to Non Ice Punch Toxicroak, as Sucker Punch becomes null if I use Extremespeed. As I mentioned, this Pokemon hates Stealth Rock but with the rapid spin support, not much of a problem.
Possible Changes: Adding Roost or Earthquake

    Resistances given to the team:
    Fire: Aids Scizor in survival
    Bug: Aids Starmie in survival
Ground: Aids Infernape and (Due to mold breaker) Gengar in survival
    Grass: Aids Starmie in survival
    Fighting: Aids Porygon2 in survival

    Weaknesses covered by the team:
Ice: Infernape, Scizor and Starmie all aid in survival
    Rock: Not covered. (Damn it)
    Dragon: Scizor aids in survival
It may not be the best, but it is a decent team. It has gotten me to a very decent rank, and has helped me tremendously. Battling is not about simply going for the KO, it's about predicting and building a chance PERFECT for the KO. Synergy is essential, if you don't have a good resist, you will be in more trouble than you think. So that you don't think this team is not 100% pathetic:
    (01:25:58) +RankingBot: Your rank in Dream World is 37/48372 [1533 points / 635 battles]! Trolled :p
(19:43:37) +RankingBot: Your rank in Wifi is 39/60742! Note: This is my peak.
    Special Thanks Too:
-Nexus: For being a bro and helping me out
-EonFriend: For also helping out with the last two pokemon
    -Drigger: For the Porygon2 Spread
-DarkDiglett: For reminding me about discharge
-Tears In Heaven: For recommending Extremespeed on Dragonite
-Ooka and the whole of PBC: for the eRMT which helped me get the threat list
-Whereabouts Unkown: For letting me use his amazing presentation as my own.

    THREAT LIST
Sorry this took so long. I just needed a bit of time to know HOW exactly I counter Pokemon. Still working on it.
Red=This pokemon has no SOLID counter and must be taken out through indirect damage
Orange=This pokemon has a few solid stops, but can cause damage to my team.
Green=This pokemon is easily countered, and barely gets a chance to do anything against my team. (Sometimes it may suprise you though, never drop your guard)
    [IMG]Excadrill:
Sand Sweeper: The Main Tactic is to put it below 50% so that Infernape can kill it with Mach Punch, Porygon2 is a great way of weakening it especially with tracting levitate, creating a switch chance. Dragonite also kills it with Multiscale taking the hit (flinches are annoying though).
    [IMG]Conkeldurr
Bulk Up:Generally not a nuisance to the team. Dragonite can set up on it (provided no Stone Edge), Starmie can deal 79% with Psychic, Gengar deals 60% to most, it can generally just be weakened and killed. Porygon is probably the only pokemon that is troubled by it.
Choice Band: With Synergy most choiced Pokemon aren't that great, Gengar for Fighting type moves, Infernape or Scizor for Darktype ones, Starmie would take Stone Edge amazingly.
    [IMG]Hydreigon
Choiced : Porygon2 can take anything without fear. Ice Beam dents it hard. Nothing but a Dragonfly for me.
Life Orb:Agains Porygon2 is just a boss here.
[IMG]Volcarona- Dnite is my only counter, if SR is not up I am not in a good position. Scizor does 37% with Bullet Punch. Dragonite does about the same damage. After a DD it Ko's it. Gengar can kill it without boosts after SR damage. But other than these few ways, it destroys me :(
[IMG]Terrakion- Scizor and Dnite all the way. Scarf versions are easily beaten by making the correct switchin (i.e Gengar on Close Combat), which then easily helps me deal with them. Nape also Mach Punches it but I rely more on Scizor to beat this.
[IMG]Landorus- Out of my about 100 times, Landorus has troubled me ONLY ONCE. Porygon2 Ice Beams it, Gengar beat's Scarf/Non-Scarf versions by correct switchins and outspeeding it respectively. Dragonite can take any hit of it's and Dclaw ES for the KO :3
[IMG]Chandelure- Porygon 2 all the way. Gengar for non scarfs. Scizor to pursuit it. Typical way you know :3.
[IMG]Haxorus- Mainly Scizor to kill it. Honestly no other way since Dragonite's multiscale is broken by mold breaker :(.
[IMG]Virizion Calm Minder- Scizor to bullet punch it when it is a little bit weakened. Mainly Gengar or Porygon weaken it. Dragonite ofc fire punch extremespeeds it. Not much of a threat at all.
Swords Dancer/Scarf- Pretty much the same as the calm minder.
[IMG]Thundurus- This thing has yet to even bother me, why do you think I have trouble with it :/. Ice Beam KO's it after it takes SR damage and LO recoil. Focus Blast hits hard yes. But Prankster means I can heal complete, and to be fair it is gonna miss eventually. Dragonite can ES it as well.
[IMG]Scrafty- Scizor, Gengar and Infernape mainly deal with it, Dnite partially. Wrecks the other two poor guys :(
[IMG]Reuniclus CM- Scizor and Gengar. Scizor is an asset to beat it. Gengar deals alot of damage as well. Other than that... this guy wins against me. But since there is a solid counter it isn't that troublesome.
Trick Room- Well basically need to predict it. And make sure Gengar or Scizor are in play when TR runs out, again gives me a heck of a time, but only if I am caught of guard

[IMG]Victini- Porygon2 and Dragonite wall it do death. Final Gambit does come out of random air, but SR damage helps heal that.
[IMG]Mienshao- Scizor, Gebgar and Dragonite, the offensive trio lol at is sooo much. Scizor's bullet punch is a clean KO. Gengar's shadow ball is too while outspeeding it. Dragonite @ +1's Extremespeed trolls it.
[IMG]Darmanitan- Yes a threat. NOT read but it gives me a hassle sometimes. SR damage and ES mostly finish it off. Dnite is the only reliable one for this.
[IMG]Keldeo- Starmie, Dragonite and Gengar troll it. Weaken it and ES finish. Gengar outspeeds and hurts it. Yet to be trolled by it.
[IMG]Genesect- Porygon2 walls it to death. Scarf versions are dealt with Dragonite. Life Orb versions @ +1 kill it with Ice Beam :(. Other than that not much trouble. As mentioned in the RMT. Porygon2 trolls it.
[IMG][COLOUR="red"]Tornadus- Specs:[/COLOUR] Go away Tornadus. Nobody likes you. Even with Porygon2, this thing wrecks me, Hurricane mostly resulting in a 2HKO. Ofcourse I mostly try to Finish it with priority, but generally this thing is a douche.
[IMG]Latias- Specs:[/COLOUR] A pretty annoying Pokemon, a matter of prediction, if I get my predicts right, I won't be that threatened. If it has trick, then Porygon2 is in trouble as well.
Bulky Calm Minder: All variants, Mirror type, Sub Recover, Refresh Recover, give my team alot of trouble,
    [IMG]Garchomp-
    [IMG]Salamence-
    [IMG]Cloyster-
    [IMG]Politoed-
    [IMG]Venusaur-
    [IMG]Ninetails-
    [IMG]Toxicroak-
    [IMG]Breloom-
    [IMG]Ditto-
    [IMG]Scizor-
    [IMG]Ludicolo-
    [IMG]Metagross-
    [IMG]Infernape-
    [IMG]Heatran-
    [IMG]Dragonite-
    [IMG]Whimsicott-
    [IMG]Jirachi-
    [IMG]Rotom-W-
    [IMG]Gyarados-
    [IMG]Suicune-
    [IMG]Kabutops-
    [IMG]Tyranitar-
    [IMG]Gliscor-
    Gonna finish it soon.

I would like to start by saying that this is a solid offensive team. :]

However, as with most offensive teams, you would theoretically have a difficult time with some of this game's most effective walls. Let me start with Ferrothorn. Leech Seed, Iron Barbs, the semi-common Rocky Helmet will all take it's toll on Scizor. Starmie doesn't stand a chance against it. Porygon2 is simply out-stalled by Leech Seed while repeatedly hit by Power Whip, as it's two attacks wont have any real effect on it (other than their respective side effects) Gyro Ball will destroy Dragonite seeing it doesn't run Fire Punch. However, you have Scizor's Superpower, Gengar's Focus Blast, and you most probably wont play Infernape suicidally when you see a Ferrothorn on their team.

It is definitely not a huge problem, however with the right partners, Ferrothorn will be a nuissance to this team. Another powerful wall is Rotom-W. Infernape is knocked out by Hydro Pump. Scizor would either get burnt and crippled for the rest of the match or get hit by a powerful Hydro Pump, while not doing much in return. Gengar can't kill it and can only hope to stall for Pain Split, in which it would die to the move Rotom-W would use after that. Starmie loses to Thunderbolt while Dragonite is crippled by Will-o-Wisp.

What I am saying here is that you when stall is played with the right pokemon, you would have a hard time. With the right partners and constant switching, you will have a difficult time. This is aided by the fact that your rapid spinner does not have Thunderbolt to even do anything against Jellicent, a common spin blocker. Therefore, you definitely need a wall-breaker to aid you vs. stall alongside Gengar. I suggest Thundurus instead of Dragonite. Yes, it is much frailer and Multiscale would definitely be missed, but Thundurus has the ability to decimate both offensive and defensive teams after only one Nasty Plot. And besides, you already have Porygon2 to help you with walling if you really need that.

    Try using this set:

    Thundurus (M) @ Life Orb
    Trait: Prankster
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Satk / 252 Spd
    Timid Nature(+Spd, -Atk)
    - Nasty Plot
    - Thunderbolt
    - Hidden Power [Ice]
    - Focus Blast

I would suggest you test that over Dragonite. However, seeing I don't know your style of play, I wouldn't know if you would benefit from the bulky stat-upper or the hyper-offense type of play (your team implies the latter however.) Also, I am not super-experienced like Deria so please don't get mad at me if it doesn't work and cost you ladder points.

Good luck with your team! :]

  6. FINALLY A non-weather team. :D

Like Nexus said, pro team is pro :D and i don't see much that needs changing (especially after Rina's amazing post that included everything i was about to suggest :X).

Although I suggest to replace Earthquake with Fire Punch on Dragonite (if you keep it instead of Thundurus that is), because Ferrothorn is a bitch, and it does some decent damage to Skarmory too. I know Heatran may be able to wall you like this, but The rest of your team seems to do just fine against Heatran, with (bulky) Starmie switching into Fire Blast and hitting back with Surf, and Gengar Focus Blast (if you can actually rely on it to hit that is :X) Infernape needs Mach Punch. Priority + Focus Sash is awesome. :D (Take Focus Sash Ice Shard Mamoswine as an example: Takes a hit from Blaziken, Earthquakes, then Ice Shards. :D)

Hmm...Presentation needs more colours. D: (Take my RMT for an example :D)

F*** yeah, five emoticons of :D (Lets make that six now. :3) in one post.

Well Rina ys the idea is decent. But now if I see a ferrothorn in my opponents team. I WILL keep infernape alive. Also Rotom-W even with specs, Hydro Pump can't really take even half of my hp, while toxic stalling it all day. Yeah Jellicent is a problem, but if you have noticed I tend to outpredict my opponents putting them in situations which they are screwed in. WoW Jellicent can be a problem, but I tend to complete outplay it by dealing damage the minute it switches in and Sending Porygon 2 for some stalling. It may sound confusing but I guess you will need to actually see me to do it once to understand. Also Thundurus is a special attacker, my team will have trouble against a Bliss/Chance when Scizor and Infernape get down. I keep an Equal number so that I don;t have to panic when one of my pokemon is down.
AA thanks. Hmm Fire Punch over Eq. Your right I think I might run that. BUT AA. What am i going to do about Tentacruel then?
I JUST manage to deal with him with 2 EQ users so sorry, making the changes is to hard right now

  8. You got Porygon who can stall the living crap out of Tentacruel that don't have toxic (Thuq who even gives it Toxic? It's the usual Toxic Spiker Rapid Spiner so when you see Tentacruel while Dnite is out switch to Porygon immediately). Also, the reason seems that you are scared of Tentacruel becuase of Scald on Dragonite correct? Well, +2 Dragon Claw has a very good chance of KOing Tenta, so I guess there you'd have to rely on that 70% chance of not getting burned. :X

Just use Fire Punch on Dragonite. Tentacruel has beyond crappy Defense and you'll just kill it with a Dragon Claw.

    Weatherless sux >:D

But seriously, gratz on the really solid team! I don't have many suggestions, just make Scizor more bulky so it can come in on more; you won't be doing much damage to Jellicent by outspeeding it and Starmie / Porygon2 are decent switch-ins to Will-O-Wisp.

No more suggestions from me :3
    Well done!

I've fought this team, but you had a scarf on scizor instead of band. Anyways, like every team which doesn't have slowbro, this team is blaziken weak. It sets SD on porygon2/scizor and OHKOes your entire team with HJK/flare blitz (dragonite takes 80% from HJK so it's an OHKO after rocks, and starmie takes 100% from HJK), so I recommend using slowbro over starmie. Also, how do you deal with weather sweepers? Shell Smash Omastar 6-0s this team for instance. So does excadrill. And SD Kabutops. And Garchomp. And sun teams.

IT WAS A CHOICE BAND >:O. Second of all I just switch into Starmie quickly for Blaziken. If He SD's then Gengar does wonders, if not I can take and OHKO back with Surf/Psychic. Weather sweepers, I work around them, Omastar? Every Pokemon can hurt him before he sets up, it may cost me a pokemon but then Mach/bullet punch comes in. Chomp is walled by Porygon2 and Scizor, with Gengar being able to finish it as it outspeeds. Sun teams? What makes you think I have trouble with them. Dnite just sets up one DD and says GG if venusaur is dead :p. I mainly work around them bro. if you read the history, I NEEEEED Starmie as my spinner, otherwise I am screwed. Do rate the team and make sure you try it out, you will see what I mean.

The reply I made was taken down because I was told it was not "right" or something, so I will rate it better this time.

Great team overall, but. you still got to look out for the weather teams that roll around these days

why u run max speed scizor?what do you get that you dont with less speed. say...heatran's run max or enough to outspeed mushrooms. and scizor's your only frickin steel. run a bulky SD set.

Actually bro, yeah 252hp scizor is better ...while you won't be able to u-turn on tyranitar's face with low speed,it has it's ownadvantages. For example it survives an Adamant LO earthquake from excadrill and ohko it with superpower etc....

    Nice team meh!

Dragonite is a staple for any weatherless team. I'm not too sure how extremem speed fits in here though even at +1 without stab it doesn't hit as hard and its basically useless if you have Dragon + Fire coverage you already have 2 Strong priority users and types (Scizor and Infernoob :p)
Roost> ExtremeSpeed for durability all of your sweepers are lack bulk and dnite excells in bulk so make use of it...

also yucky porygon2 spread :x... Try this one for 405 in each defenses (you'll be able to take 1 HJK at full HP without life orb :x)

    Porygon2 @ Eviolite
    EVs: 212 HP / 120 Def / 176 SDef
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

I will seriously start rating teams now. Btw, do you absolutely hate Gen 5? Or is it some weird kind of luck that you never run a Gen 5 Pokémon.

    #.1
    [IMG]

Nice set, but you are Stealth Rock weak with that EVs. So I recommend you run 244 HP/ 252 ATK / 12 (S)Def so you can switch in better.

    #.2
    [IMG]

Instead of using some weird whatnot strategy you have in mind to KO Excadrill, you seriously must run Mach Punch. That way you also have a decent check to Blaziken.

    #.3
    [IMG]

Your team basically cries for paralysis support. Why? Even though you run base 108 / 110 / 115 Speed Pokemon, none of them can decently check Choice Scarfed revenge killers like Terrakion, which can severely dent your team when Scizor is dead, especially because Scarf Terrakion is a cleaner.

Now, I will go on to the threats, though I think you can play around with what popped into my head, so I just listed the single most destructive threat to your team.

    #.1
    [IMG]

Thundurus sets with Thunder Wave / Focus Blast / Hidden Power ( Ice ) / Thunderbolt would harass this team a lot, even revenge killing efforts would result in crippled Pokémon. Hammer Arm would 2HKO Porygon2 after rocks, when you're only effort would be to Toxic or Ice Beam, but Toxic would seem the more viable option. However if the Thundurus is running Life Orb, Porygon2 would be 2HKOed without Rock Support. And those were with 4 EVs in Attack. However if it is the most common set, Porygon2 will be OHKOed after rocks with Focus Blast.

Recenge killing can only be done by...wait Scizor? Band Scizor can only 3HKO Thundurus, while it can OHKO it with Focus Blast, and can 2HKO it with Thunderbolt, and OHKO after 2 Rocks. Thundurus outspeeds your entire team, so it can be considered a huge threat and can almost OHKO / 2HKO everything.

To remedy this, I suggest you run a Offensive Timid Starmie with Rapid Spin instead of Recover. Starmie would outspeed Thundurus and can OHKO it after rocks.

    Damage Calculations:

    4Atk Life Orb Thundurus (Neutral) Hammer Arm vs 252HP/128Def Porygon2 (Neutral): 54% - 63% (202 - 238 HP). Guaranteed 2HKO.

    252SpAtk Life Orb Thundurus (Neutral) Focus Blast vs 252HP/128SpDef Porygon2 (Neutral): 81% - 95% (304 - 358 HP). Guaranteed 2HKO

    252Atk Choice Band Technician Scizor (+Atk) Bullet Punch vs 4HP/0Def Thundurus (Neutral): 36% - 42% (108 - 128 HP). Guaranteed 3HKO.

    252SpAtk Life Orb Thundurus (+SAtk) Thunderbolt vs 244HP/12SpDef Technician Scizor (Neutral): 74% - 88% (255 - 301 HP). Guaranteed 2HKO.

I hope this helped, a great team it is.

Prankster means I will move first when Thundurus strikes me btw. Just thought I should mention that :x. Also if you actually read the RMT you will find everything you recommended is already there. Ok your saying I should run Thunderwave support for counter just a few pokemon. Have yu realised that Toxic is my only way in beating Quagsire? or otherstallers?

YES! Someone who agrees with me that Porygon is a boss! Ok, now for the rate. This is a great team, but I just have a few recomendations. I'm a little shaky about the EV's on your Infernape, but as long as it works, I guess. Next, like one of the posters said above, you may want to change your Scizor's EV's to 248HP/252ATK/8SPE. Next, Porygon2 wants 252HP/184DEF/72SPDEF, cause thats what everyone who uses Porygon2 runs. Also, you may want TWave over Toxic just to cripple those who setup. I never really used Starmie, so I cant rate it well, but I'd say to TRY a Specs/Scarf set. It could possibly help. And for Dragonite, I dont really see use for Extremespeed if you can pull of +2 DD. Change E-Speed to Earthquake. I'd rate the team 8.75/10, great job.

I have easily destroyed Thundurus in many tourneys in front of many people, I DO NOT have trouble with it.
The Evs are very random for Infernape. But they work so meh . YEah I am changing the spread . Just need to remember to. Umm you may not have noticed but Swampert/QUagsire destroy me, Toxic is needed to beat them :(. Twave doesn't help me one bit. Espeed honestly is more there so that it can help me keep multiscale active. eg Weavile is out, he is gonna break the scale if I don't have Es. Ty for the rate

Ok i tested this team and its awesome. Now letes go for the rate:
U have a agiligross weak,at least he gave me troubles after hazards hit multiscale nite, also i might think u should change ur infernape to a nature tha makes him increase speed, since i get surprised by how many pokes outspeed him, also i see a sd scizor week,i think u should run another fire, but the team is awesome, and thats it.Also great RMT,i enjoyed read it ;)

Agiligross weakness? Starmie walls the standard set iirc. Well Tpunch trolls it. Yes Hazards annoy Dnite which is why you should use Rapid spin as soon as possible. Yes my team is SD Scizor weak. I noticed that too. Mostly I just weaken it with Starmie and BP finish it. Or if there are no hazards Dnite fire punches it. THanks :3/. Make sure you Rate the thread :D

I really like the team, and the RMT was a fun read. Before I comment further, I have to say that I'm not a Gen 5 person. I've laddered to 67th, but that's nothing impressive, and really it was just using Garchomp and a 4th gen FGW core. I don't understand much of the metagame and the best I can do is guess based off of what I do know.

First of that is, Garchomp and Exadrill are bigger probelms than I think you think they are, especially the latter. If you're going to run no Spe Starmie, I suggest Bold with at lesat 200 Def, the rest in Sdef. This would help you against Exadrill. Also, to help against Garchomp, Starmie could Ice Beam instead of Psychic. Psychic won't get used too much, maybe against Tentacruel, Conkledurp, and some other Fighting types. Ice Beam would help against Dragonite, Garchomp, Mence, and random grass types (Shaymin is underrated). One less setup fodder for Dragons is good if nothing else. Other than that, Starmie can HP Fire to troll Ferrothorn, the best spiker. It can also rape Scizor with it.

Scizor should keep Pursuit for Starmie and Rankurusu, in my opinion. Quick Attack only helps against like +1 Gyarados, Fire/Bug, what else? I'd stick with Pursuit if I were you.

Pory2 is awesome, it owns, buuuut... I think it needs Thunder Wave instead of Toxic. Porygon2 and Starmie can wall most of the metagame together.

I am seriously unsure about thunderwave. The main reason it is there is for Quagsire as I keep mentioning. That thing walls my whole team otherwise. I need a grass attack bad. For Starmie I will run the change. But what I don't get is Ice Beam makes me get walled by Jelly even worse than before. So why :(. Testing the change

I'm fond of rating weather-less teams. We have the same boat here.

Yeah. Sun teams might be a problem, since +1 DD from Dragonite will never outpace Venusaur and kill you with Hidden Power [Ice], if there are any, or maim you with Sludge Bomb. If you can set up for +2, and you beat the speed tie, you have the chance. You have Porygon-2 covered for that, though, since it will not 2HKO you, perhaps?

For Scizor, I suggest the EV spread of 64 HP / 252 Attack / 192 Special Defense. In this way, you have a 100% chance to survive Ludicolo's Surf at Rain and with Life Orb, possibly [be wary of Hydro Pump, though] and U-turn out of the way, OHKO'ing Ludicolo in the process.

Congratulations for a team so solid and so well-thought out, and kudos to you for using a team that doesn't use weather.

I quote: Noobs use weather teams. Period. :D :D :D

    Right now.
    This
    Team
    Is
    Profeesional :333

Seriosuly, this team is really good, the number of times I have been fooled by Pory2's trace is quite a lot :c
The bulky Starmie can take am EQ from a Dory like a boss.
Dragonite is <3 (rapid spin preserves its Multiscale)
All I can say is that this is a really great weatherless team <3
And I agree with Steeli, needz moar mach punch infernape

Edit because to post below: My point exactly :3

Nice team! I've faced this team before and MAN! That porygon2 is annoying and so hard to kill. Anyways I'm not good with rating RMTs but this team isn't half bad. I will update more when something comes to my mind 9.5/10

First off, this is a good team. Not that it'll come as a surprise now everyone else has said so, but it really is.
Only thing I wanna know is; how do you deal with SD Blaziken with Flare Blitz, Shadow Claw and Hi Jump Kick? I really can't find any way you'd deal with that except for Dragonite, and bringing that out will hurt your gameplan a lot.

I assume you're switching into Chandelure, in which case I have to point out that Calm Mind Chandelure can take both Gengar(only 1 turn to setup vs no sash) AND Porygon 2(Trace included, Energy Ball even has a chance of lowering Special Defence), albeit, outside a Substitute it would probably result in Chandelure being revenge killed. As for Scizor, I'm assuming that you consider him a counter if you know for certain that he's locked in a non fire attack. Dragonite may be your best counter, Dragon Dancing as soon as he comes in.

Generally, your team seems to lack phazing moves, or even trick, which means that baton pass teams can prove a handful.
