Bug recreated. On the simulator, using multi-hit attacks (Double Hit, Fury Swipes, Rock Blast and others) when you have a Life Orb equipped causes 10% damage to the attacker on every hit. All hits are boosted by Life Orb. In-game, using multi-hit attacks with a Life Orb equipped causes just 10% damage to the attacker for the entire move, regardless of the number of hits, and all hits are boosted by Life Orb. NetBattle has (had?) the same problem.
Hmm, ingame does it activate only at the end of all hit, or maybe just after the first hit? (I know the former is the more likely) Also, does Rough Skin activates every hit ?
Shiny Sharpedo vs Shiny Nidoking! FIGHT! "%s's Rough Skin hurt the foe's %f!" - Just to make sure the message is right. Rough Skin activates after every hit of a multi-hit move such as Fury Swipes. Of course, it needs to make contact. Life Orb damage is applied after the final hit of the multi-hit move, and after the "Hit %d times!" message.
Also, another question. Triple Kick is special (as it's different from any other multi hit attack). It would help me to know the exact messages of triple kick and if for triple kick the life orb damage is for each hit. And also, for triple kick, does the super effective message appear each hit? Thanks. Other Question: Does the pokémon take life orb damage if the sub was broken midway? (with double hit, and with triple kick)
Life Orb damage is received if any hit of a multi-turn attack hits the opponent, even if some of the of attacks are used in breaking a Substitute. It was easier to check this one, and I only had one TM90 (Substitute). Triple Kick: Like a normal multi-hit move, the effectiveness messages appear at the end of the attack, whenever it ends, and only then. Life Orb damage is also only added once at the end of the attack. It also follows the same rule at the top of this post. Also like a normal multi-hit move, it displays "Hit 3 time(s)!" if all three hits actually hit. I'm still waiting for the second of third hits to miss to see what message is displayed, I will update this post once I have done it. It may just be that the damage increase and the added possibility to miss are the only differences. EDIT: I was right. "Hit %d time(s)!" for any amount of hits. No extra messages.
Just so I know, for personal info, if a multi hit attack fails to break the sub at all then no life orb damage is taken, correct?
