Reshiram and Zekrom are both top threats and incredibly hard to deal with. What’s more troublesome, Arceus can now reach his fullest potential. To make matters worse, Arceus can be made into any type and each type has entirely different counters. The team building process of this team is pretty simple, take out my Classic stall team and modify it slowly to handle both old and new threats. I laddered on both the Smogon Site and Beta Server with this team, peaking out at a CRE of 1481 (1st on Dream World Ubers ladder at that time) in the Beta Server and I reached 1st with this team on the Smogon Dream World Ubers ladder. I battled many experienced uber battlers with this team and the results are quite satisfactory. I won some tournaments using this team. Arceus is such a formidable threat in every way, so he is the best in every role right? Wrong! Arceus maybe an extremekiller and is the bulkiest sweeper around but in a stall team, Arceus's niche is challenged by other great walls who dominate UberStall. Groudon, Lugia, Latias, Shandera ( a new shadow tagger who does double duty in the team both as a trapper and a spin blocker) , Forretress and Chansey can perform roles that even the mighty Arceus cannot achieve. Now, let’s proceed with the team The Team Credits go to Arkies for the animated sprites and Bulbapedia for the rest Forretress (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Sturdy EVs: 252 HP / 16 Def / 240 SpD Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Spikes - Toxic Spikes - Rapid Spin - Volt Change ( I am thinking about Gyro ball with a relaxed nature) Despite being a set up fodder for sweepers in the past, this hefty shell is now the most popular lead in the Uber metagame, usually utilizing a Custap Berry to get at least two layers of hazards along with the improved Sturdy which guarantees a survival against any non-multi hit attack. Unlike the standard Forretress lead, my Forretress is entirely different. Most opponents will expect a Custap Berry Forretress only to be fooled when they realized I am holding leftovers. Spikes and Toxic spikes are pretty obvious moves on something as reliable as Forretress. Rapid spin is to foil Deoxy-e’s plans to set up spikes on me. The most unique feature that makes my Forretress different is the move Volt Change. Most players don’t expect Forretress to use Volt change considering Forretress's sucky Special Attack stat. However, as weak as Volt Change is, it does breaks Sturdy from opposing Forretress and straight away switch to Shandera who will easily incinerate the opposing bagworm. Forretress sole weakness is resisted by Shandera as well while some of Shandera’s weakness is resisted by Forretress. If Wifi Clause is active, Forretress can forfeit his lead position and come in later to spin or set up spikes. I can’t lose Forretress without getting at least a layer of spikes up, considering spikes is crucial to the team’s success. When facing a Dialga lead, I will probably use Groudon as the lead instead. Forretress’s ability is invaluable though which makes me consider using Custap berry to guaranty at least 2 layers of spikes but I like Forretress's bulk and spinning ability in the middle of the game. Lugia @ Leftovers Trait: Multi-Scale EVs: 252 HP / 176 Def / 80 SpD Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) / Impish (+Def, - SAtk) [ Depending whether I use Ice beam / Whirlwind or Earthquake / Dragon Tail ] - Ice Beam / Earthquake - Recover - Reflect - Whirlwind / Dragon tail Say hello to the best phazer in the game. Lugia’s defenses are titanic to say the least. Of course, I am not using Lugia in the wrong way. This team is Lugia’s true home. Lugia is in the team not only for the sole purpose of checking a multitude of sweepers but more importantly to rack up residual damage. The ev spread may look odd, I came up with the spread after some calculations. Instead of using a fast Lugia, which I don’t like using as it sacrifices a significant amount of bulk, I love raw defensive power more. The defense evs allows Lugia to always survive +2 Garchomp Stone edge with leftovers even after Stealth rock damage and gain a bonus point. Even Scarf Terakion struggles to KO this beast. The special defense evs are pretty much leftovers but it does ensures Lugia survives 2 unboosted Thunders from any pokemon with base 150 special attack. To be honest, there are no easy ways to OHKO Lugia, other than a faster Choice Band Zekrom. Lugia is probably the wall that holds the team together by checking Extremekiller Arceus, Groudon, Rayquaza, Garchomp and other physical or mixed threats lurking in the treacherous Ubers metagame. Reflect makes Lugia a real team player by supporting the entire team and softens the blow before being hit. You may wonder why I don’t use Dragon Tail over Whirlwind. The reason is Whirlwind phazes through subs and has a lot more pp. Since Pressure is so common in Ubers, Lugia may find himself losing all his pp before damaging the opposing team enough. Lugia is going to survive a lot of punishment, so Whirlwind will be a lot more useful. Ice beam is a wonderful move to have on something as bulky as Lugia. With Ice beam, Lugia OHKOes deadly Stall breakers such as Rayquaza and Garchomp after just Stealth rock damage or a layer of Spikes. While Lugia's Ice beam is pretty weak, it is always a bonus to at least damage opposing Groudon and Giratina-O. With Ice beam and Whirlwind, Lugia can halt the rampage of Sub Calm Mind Giratina-O (the famous stall breaker) and Rayquaza (arguably the most powerful physical attacker) or other powerful physical attackers who dominate the metagame. As for Lugia’s ability, Multiscale is also one of the reasons I used Bold Lugia. The lack of Roosts means Lugia won’t be removing his electric, rock and ice weakness. I capitalize on Lugia’s sheer bulk by abusing multiscale. I usually just scare something out and recover back to full health. A lot of physical volleys are irritated by Lugia so it isn’t that hard to recover back to 100%. Multiscale helps against Shadow Force Arceus by recovering before it strikes. Lugia really enjoys Multiscale to soften the first hit as he switches in on a sweeper he is about to counter. Sometimes, when the need to counter anti-stall pokemon such as Heatran and phazing through Taunt becomes a necessity, I use the combination of Dragon Tail and Earthquake over Ice beam and Whirlwind. Dragon Tail still hits the abundant Dragon types for decent damage while phazing in the same move. As a bonus, Dragon tail smacks through Taunt which Whirlwind fails to do so. Earthquake might seem odd on a team player like Lugia but it is pretty much needed for Lugia to even touch anti-stall pokemon such as Heatran and Dialga. With Earthquake, Lugia suddenly transforms from a toy for Heatran to one of the best Heatran checks in the game. Since Heatran is extremely threatening to the team, having a reliable way to take Heatran out is invaluable. Thanks to Lugia's tremendous defenses, he can take a hit or two from Heatran with ease while OHKOing the volcano back with Earthquake after some residual damage or a Seismic Toss from Chansey. Groudon might fail to counter Heatran all the time as he isn't enjoying Flamethowers and lack a reliable recovery healing move like Lugia. However, I usually prefer using Ice beam and Whirlwind for the reason stated in the beginning section while I only use Dragon Tail and Earthquake for the reason of KOing Heatran and phazing through Stall Mewtwo's deadly Taunt. Gigantic defenses, amazing speed for a wall (despite the lack of evs), and the ability to both support and phaze out even the most powerful of attackers truly earns Lugia the title as the Great Wall of the pokemon world. Shandera (M) @ Choice Scarf Trait: Shadow Tag EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Flamethrower / Curse - Shadow Ball - Overheat - Hidden Power [Rock] The new shadow tagger and spinblocker of the Uber metagame. While Shandera may not have Giratina’s sheer bulk or Ghost Arceus’s versatility, he does have a few advantages over them. A base 145 Special Attack is amazing and in the sun, Shandera can easily blasts through even Arceus! Being immune to Extremespeed means Arceus or unboosted Rayquaza can’t kill Shandera before the opposite happens. The evs are pretty straight forward which is to max out speed and power. Shandera can only outspeed Mewtwo with a timid nature and a scarf. Hidden Power does make me lose the speed tie against opposing Shandera but it doesn’t matter much because I switch to Chansey when an opposing Shandera decided to revenge me. While Hidden Power Ice OHKOes both Rayquaza and Garchomp after some little damage, i still prefer Hidden Power Rock. Ho-oh is a lot harder to deal with compare to the dragons. Groudon and Lugia can manhandled most physical dragons with ease while Ho-oh can annoy Groudon with burns. Lugia can only stall out Ho-oh but not kill it directly. With Hidden Power Rock, Shandera always OHKOes Ho-oh after Stealth rock damage. Flamethrower is for reliability and Overheat is for some real power. For instance, Sun boosted Overheat OHKOes Groudoon, Mewtwo (which Shadow Ball fails to do so) and even no HP Arceus. Shadow ball picks off a wounded Latias or Latios and 2HKOes Wobbuffet. Speaking of the blue blob, Shandera can escape it due to shadow tag. Usually my Forretress Volt change an opposing pokemon vulnerable to Shandera and switch to Shandera. Perhaps the biggest selling point of Shandera over other spinblockers is the ability to OHKO Steel Arceus even after one Calm mind, assuming the sunny weather of course. Forretress shares good typing synergy with Shandera while Chansey passes huge wishes(100% recovery) to Shandera. Curse might seem to be the dumbest option to sacrifice such an important revenge killler but it is my best bet against an end-game Calm Mind Refresh Dark Arceus or Calm Mind Psycho Shock Latias (the team's main weakness) With Curse weakening them, Chansey can easily wear both of those threats out with Seismic Toss with Curse damage(25% per turn). It is worth sacrificing Shandera to save the team from Dark Arceus's wrath with the help of Chansey. Chansey (F) @ Evolution Stone Trait: Natural Cure EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk) - Seismic Toss - Softboiled - Wish - Toxic Why not Blissey? Despite the lack of leftovers, Chansey has some significant advantages over Blissey. Don’t get me wrong, I am in no way stating that Chansey is better than Blissey. Both have their own advantages. I just can’t make a stall team without Blissey or Chansey because they are just too good in what they do. What about walling Arceus over Chansey? Ask Arceus to survive 2 Blue fires from Specs Reshiram in the sun. After testing both, I found out that Chansey is better for this team. Just 163 defense may seem small, but don’t let that fool you, Chansey’s overall bulk is higher than Kyogre’s thanks to that monstrous HP stat. Chansey is quite a bit bulkier than Blissey on the physical side which actually surprises a lot of people. For example Chansey can survive a +2 Extremespeed from Normal Arceus after Stealth rock damage or a +2 Outrage from Garchomp! In the special side, Chansey is never 2KOed by Modest Kyogre’s Hydro pump (rare but Hydro pump Kyogre still exists) After taking Spikes and Stealth rock damage, even the mighty Kyogre risks being walled by this happy pink blob. Chansey’s ability to somewhat function as a mixed wall is greatly appreciated as now Groudon can’t even 2HKO Chansey. Chansey’s wish may be slightly smaller than her sister’s but it is still enormous. The wish from Chansey full restores Shandera’s, Forretress’s health and greatly improves Groudon’s longetivity. Lugia enjoys Wish to soften the hit he needs to cushion when switching in on a threat. I don’t really need a cleric so I don’t use Aromatherapy or Heal Bell. Groudon @ Leftovers Trait: Drought EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 36 SpD / 4 Spe Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk) - Dragon Tail - Earthquake - Stealth Rock - Stone Edge Of course no stall team can forget the defensive prowess of this Ground titan. He’s too good a supporter for me to pass up. A weather changing ability allows me to control the weather which can be useful. The sun also powers up Shandera’s fire assaults. Groudon supports Lugia in taking powerful physical attackers. In case Lugia isn’t in the best condition, Groudon can come in instead. The evs are pretty standard, max HP, 216 defense evs to gain a bonus point and the rest is thrown in special defense. 4 Speed evs is for outspeeding other slow ubers. When the lead matchup is bad for Forretress, Groudon is used as the lead instead. The sun messes up Kingdra, Manaphy and Kabutops badly. Groudon enjoys coming in on rock or electric attacks targeted at Lugia and set up my own Stealth rock. Earthquake is pretty obvious while Stealth rock completes the hazards. Stone edge OHKOes Ho-oh as Lugia can only wall Ho-oh but not kill the deadly phoenix directly. Dragon Tail is a blessing to Groudon as it phazes through Taunt and does decent damage to Dragons, which combined with entry hazards can deal great damage. While it doesn't phaze through Substitute, I have that covered with the best Whirlwinder in the game. Latias (F) @ Soul Dew Trait: Levitate EVs: 252 HP / 64 SpA / 192 Spe Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Dragon Pulse - Calm Mind - Psycho Shock - Recover The final member of the team and possibly the cutest one. Why are you using a cute litte dragon in such a ferocious metagame? One hit from Latias and the opponent will immediately realize that Latias hits like a truck. I OHKOed Dialgas, Kyogres and 2HKOed Blissey with Latias after a just a few boosts. The advantage of Latias over Palkia is her extra special bulk, immunity to Toxic Spikes,Spikes and Earthquake. The ability to sweep nearly everything once steel types are eliminated by Shandera is always an extra over Palkia. While Latias can't be an effective mixed attacker like Palkia, Psycho Shock gives Latias the ability to smash even the toughest of special walls on the physical side. The extra special bulk over Palkia helps Latias cushion blows from the many special hits in the metagame. While Latias is 2HKOed by Specs Kyogre , she can switch in the whale and attempt to hit hard with Psycho Shock or a boosetd Dragon pulse. Psycho shock will surely surprise Blissey expecting to take a powerful Draco Meteor and 2HKOes Ho-oh reliably with Psycho shock. The ev spread is probably going to be Standard Bulky Calm Mind Latias set soon. It outspeeds all Garchomp and lower which is all I need. Latias's immense firepower is needed to blow past opposing stall alot easier. The extra power does help against end game Bulk Up Dialga, Boosting Tank Kyogre and Blissey. The only thing Latias misses to outspeed when using a Modest nature are Mixed Palkia, Swords Dance Garchomp and the occasional Manaphy. They aren’t particularly threatening to the team as I have Groudon to mess them up and Lugia can usually wall them anyway. Other than that, Mixed Palkia, Manaphy and Swords Dance Garchomp are pretty rare. However, even when I can counter all those threats, being able to outspeed and defeat them straight on can be game-deciding. The HP evs can help Latias survive 2 Ice beams from Scarf Kyogre with ease even after Stealth Rock damage and live through an opposing Latias's Draco Meteor. Latias also checks Mixed Zekrom which can be annoying as he can force out Lugia and slam Groudon hard with Draco Meteor. The team is pretty stable and loses mostly to random critical hits or hax. Complete Threat list Ubers Kyogre: My first switch is usually Latias, who only hates fighting Thunder wave versions if they get too much parahax (which happened a lot), then I can hit it with boosted Psycho Shock.Calm mind ones are still handled by Latias and will eventally kill it off with a critical hit or boosted Psycho shock. Scarf or non calm mind versions are walled by Chansey, who can toxic it and strike with Seismic toss. Toxic spikes will ruin non rest versions. Groudon can annoy the resttalk versions by coming in on Rest and change the weather. In the sun, Kyogre's water attacks are much weaker than usual. Lead kygore will be dealt by first switching to Chansey and then scout the next move. Lugia walls Kyogre if Multiscale is activated and Scarf ones are walled. Dialga: Dialga is usually handled by Chansey. Special versions and most mixed ones are stopped completely by this pink blob. Lugia can come in on any move even Thunder and phaze it out. Mixed bulk up variants are stopped by Lugia and so are the usual mixed ones if they lack a life orb Thunder. In the sun Thunder is extremely unreliable. Bulk up Dialga is handled by Lugia easily in mid game or Groudon if it is the last pokemon. If Bulk Up Dialga is the last pokemon, Shandera can smack it with Overheat, die to Outrage then Latias finishes Dialga off with boosted Dragon Pulses. Lead Dialgas are dealt by Groudon who can Earthquake it for the 2HKO. Shandera traps weaken ones and KO with Overheat. Latias can pick off wounded ones. Groudon: My own Groudon can Earthquake it. Latias hits it hard, possibly OHKO. Lugia walls him and can set up Reflect too, packs a faster Whirlwind. Forretress can sometimes set up on support Groudon. Choice band Groudon is still handled by my own Groudon and Lugia. The Paradancer is countered by Lugia, since it is a slow Lugia, he does not mind being paralysed too much, not a problem. Shandera can trap and OHKO any unboosted versions with Overheat barr Special defensive Groudon. Rayquaza: Groudon for physical versions, even though it can be KO'd by a +2 Outrage. Lead Rayquaza cannot OHKO Groudon, while Stone edge will hit it hard. Lugia will stop physical versions and mixed ones if rocks are not up, survivng even a boosted Stone edge after Stealth rock. Latias can switch in on mixed Rayquaza on the right move and threaten it with Draco Metoer. The rather rare choice band Rayquaza can still be stopped by Lugia and Groudon or even Shandera to an extend. Forretress can take an outrage and lay out hazards. Palkia: If sun is up which it usually is, he will be a lot easier to deal with, if it's choiced and not locked into Fire blast, I can go to Forretress, if it's not choice scarfed, I can kill it with Latias. Lugia can wall most as even Thunders fail to 2HKO. Blissey can easily wall Choice specs versions and come in on special attacks. The rare choice band version sometimes make an appearance but, it is walled by Lugia,Groudon and Forretress. Latias can come in on non dragon attacks and OHKO it with Draco Meteor. Giratina-O: Lugia all the way, walling mixed versions with relatvie ease, worrying only calm mind Shadow ball versions and even then Multiscale can cancel that off. Latias can kill it, and calm mind versions are still OHKOed. Forretress can annoy the rather rare non-Hidden fire versions by setting up Spikes if they come in to block spin. Chansey walls standard Giratina-O with ease as even Outrage barely 2HKOes. Darkrai: The bane of most stall teams. If it comes in on Latias and it slept someone, Latias will kill it outright with powerful Dragon pulses. Chansey can take it on with some luck or if Toxic spikes are out as Chansey can survive a +4 Focus Blasts. Darkrai cannot set up on Lugia for free as he can phaze it out. After sleeping someone, Chansey can handle Darkrai a lot better.Toxic spikes will ruin Darkrai's sweep. Shandera is immune to Focus Blasts, traps and OHKO Darkrai easily with Overheat Mewtwo: While Mewtwo can be problematic, he needs Stealth rock up to threaten my team. I usually predict around by switching with the LO versions, and end up wearing him out through recoil and KO with Shandera. Latias can survive a life orb Ice beam and hit back with a Dragon pulse for some damage or boost alongside it. Forretress can annoy non Fire blasts versions by setting up Spikes or Volt change to Shandera. Toxic spikes will mess him up badly. Shandera OHKOes even stalling Mewtwo in the sun provided Light Screen is not up. Shadow tag prevents Mewtwo from fleeing. Even the Mewtwo has his counters, Lugia is probably the best wall who can take on Mewtwo. Resisting Psycho Break and Aura Sphere helps Lugia to come in on Calm Mind Mewtwo who lacks Ice beam or sun-boosted Fire blasts. Wobbuffet: Wobbuffet can sometimes be a threat, as it can set up Encore on Lugia or Groudon with ease. Encore nerf means it lasts only 3 turns now instead of 5. Toxic spikes and spikes will generally mess it around. Latias can hit it hard with Draco Meteor. Forretress can set up hazards on it. Chansey can Toxic it before it Safeguards. If it has Tickle, it is only killing Chansey off. Lugia can survive though even at -6 Defense by Reflecting as the Pursuiter comes in. Shandera escapes Wobuffet and can KO weaken ones with Shadow ball or Overheat. Deoxys-A: Latias can survive a special super effective attack if she has to. Choice band sets are countered by Forretress, Shandera, Lugia and Groudon or Chansey as long as I don't come in on the wrong moves. Choice specs sets are stopped by Chansey or Latias. Life orb ones can be killed by Forretress if it lacks fire attacks. Shandera resists Ice beam and Superpower. Deoxys-S: I usually Spike against it with Forretress, if it Taunts then I spin away it's hazards. The life orb sets are handled by Lugia or Latias. Groudon can 2HKO it but it will get 2 hazards up. Shandera OHKOes it. Offensive Deoxys-s aren't threatening at all as my whole team walls it. Deoxys-D: Toxic from Chansey, harassed by Latias if it lacks Knock off or Toxic and Forretress can spin away Spikes and set up my on Spikes. Phaze around by Lugia and Groudon. Shandera can attempt a 2HKO on it. Deoxys-D is the only Spiker who isn't OHKO by Shandera though so it will be annoying sometimes. Deoxys: Groudon can 2HKO the leads. Forretress can Volt change out or spin away if it lacks Fire attacks. Latias can stop it with her great special defense stat. It is pretty much a slighlty bulkier but weaker Deoxys-A. Shandera OHKOes it without fail. Shaymin-S: Can be annoying, but Lugia resists the set's main attacks and can phaze it away. LO users are more destructive, I can hit it hard or OHKO with Draco Meteor from Latias. Lugia walls it and can Ice beam it to death. All sets are walled by Chansey. Lugia, Chansey, Forretress can switch around the sub seed if it needs to be. Shandera traps all but scarf versions stuck on Earth power or Air Slash. Mew: I usually just set up Spikes against leads with Forretress. Baton passers are annoying, especially behind screens, I go to Latias and Draco Meteor it for some damage. Shandera can 2HKO all versions outside screens. Groudon foils Baton pass attempts with Dragon tail as it hits through Taunt. If it somehow drops Taunt for Substitute, Lugia Whirlwinds Mew out. Manaphy: Latias easily. As she can 2HKO with Psycho shock or set up Calm Mind alongside it and KO the weak pixie eventually. Groudon can annoy it with the sun. Chansey walls most version for some time. Lugia can phaze this water pixie out early in the game. Lugia: Latias again, Toxic from Chansey too, and Groudon can hurt Timid ones with Stone edge. Forretress sets up on it. Calm mind ones are stopped by Chansey, Latias, Groudon and my own Lugia can phaze it out. Latias will usually win the Calm Mind war unless haxed too much. Latios: Chansey walls every version that lacks Psycho shock and Calm Mind in the same set( Psycho shock fails to 2HKO on average), if he doesn't have HP fire and sun is up, Forretress can annoy his team by spamming Spikes or Volt Change out. My Latias can annoy him if he lack Draco Meteor or uses Hidden Power Fire. The Rare physical Dragon dancer is stopped by Lugia and Groudon. Shandera can easily pick off weaken ones with Shadow ball. Latias: Same as Latios, except less powerful and bulkier. Toxic still kills her. Lugia can phaze Latias out a lot easier. Ho-oh: With Stone edge on Groudon, Ho-oh can be dealt easier. Lugia can wall him with Reflect and Recover off. Burns can ruined Multiscale though. Life orb ones are taken on by Lugia, by Reflecting and Whirlwind. He will really hate Stealth rock. Chansey can wall Scarf versions too as long as she is not coming in on a sunny Sacred Fire. Toxic hampers Ho-oh's bulk. Choice Band versions are handled the same way but it will be alot stronger. Shandera traps and OHKOes Ho-oh after taking Stealth rock damage. Garchomp: Groudon takes hits from this land shark easily, fearing only a +4 Outrage. Lugia walls it most of the time as even a +2 Stone edge fails to OHKO. Ice beam will kill it after Spikes damage. Latias can kill non-scarf versions with her powerful Dragon strikes. Shandera revenge kills weaken non Scarf versions with Shadow ball or Sun boosted Overheat. Giratina: The inferior Giratina forme (according to Jibaku..but he is still the bulkiest Uber) Latias can take it out with Draco Meteor easily. Forretresss can set up on it without fear. Calm mind Giratina is a bit harder to deal with but Latias can slam him hard or Lugia and Groudon can easily phaze him out. Choice specs sets are walled by Chansey easily while Choice Band sets are still walled by Lugia, Forrertress and Groudon. Chansey can take any attack from all versions and reply with Toxic to force him to Rest or die. Salamence: Not much problem here, the Dragon dancer is handled by Lugia and Groudon. Both Lugia and Groudon can OHKO him while Salamence cannot do the same. The Mixed ones are still stopped by Groudon, Lugia or even Latias if he lacks Dragon dance. Chansey walls mixed version with ease. Salamence is pretty much a weaker Rayquaza since the extra speed doesn't help him against my team. Reshiram: Chansey walls most versions even Choice specs ones and Toxic the mighty dragon. Latias can take even a sun boosted Specs Blue fire and OHKO with Draco Meteor. Scarf versions are a lot weaker and easier to deal with, Lugia can wall most attacks from the Scarf set. Toxic spikes and Stealth rock in general reduces Reshiram's life span greatly. The Nitro Charge set is walled by Chansey as even Outrage barely 2HKOes. Zekrom: Groudon is my best bet as he posesses great physical bulk and has STAB Earthquake to smack Zekrom around. Lugia can take any non electric attack and set up Reflect. Latias outspeeds all versions and OHKO with Draco Meteor while resisting Lightning Strike. Mixed Versions can be irritating as he can slam Groudon with Draco Meteor. Shandera traps and kills weaken ones with Hidden Power Ice or Overheat. Chansey can stall out the Scarf set if he is not stuck on Lightning Strike. Kyurem: Entry hazards shortens his life span easily. Chansey walls all versions other than Choice Band ones. Latias outspeeds and OHKO with Draco Meteor. Shandera can OHKO with Overheat after Kyurem eats Stealth rock damage. Arceus formes Extremekiller: Lugia can wall most with ease as even Shadow Force fails to KO Lugia since Lugia can set up Reflect on the charging turn and Recover back to activate Multiscale. Groudon can phaze it out with Dragon tail but lacks recovery. Shandera boasts immunity to Extremespeed and traps even +6 versions and OHKO with Overheat after a little prior damage. Normal Arceus wall: He is not stalling anyone, with the possible exception of Groudon who can Dragon tail it anyway. Chansey toxics it and it takes a lot of damage from Spikes, rocks and Toxic Spikes. Struggling to do much damage to my walls means it sucks. Shandera can nearly OHKO it after just Stealth rock damage alone. Lugia can phaze it out if he lacks roar. Latias doesn't mind Ice beam too much and can smack it around or just set up on it. Forretress can set up on it as long as he lacks fire moves. Ghost: Lugia walls physical ones despite weakess, thanks to Reflect and Multiscale. Groudon stops it and Dragon Tails it out. Chansey Toxics most and win the war. Calm mind versions are stopped by Chansey and Toxic Arceus. Shandera kills slightly weaken or unboosted ones. Ground: Lugia can again wall this beast. Stone Edge doesn't hurt too much and Reflect plus Multiscale softens the blows and Whirlwind out if necessary or Ice beam for some damage. Chansey can Toxic it and hamper his bulk. Groudon can usually take a +4 Earthquake and Dragon tail it out. Shandera can pick off wounded ones. Steel: Shandera tags Steel Arceus and OHKO even after one Calm Mind (assuming Sun) Chansey can survive 2 +6 Judgements. Groudon can hurt it with Earthquake but dislikes Will-o-wisp or boosted hits. Electric: Groudon can Earthquake it while Chansey can Toxic it and stall the equine out. Latias resists Thunder and can hit hard with boosted Dragon pulse or Psycho shock. Fire: Chansey stops it and toxic the fire God. Once Toxic poisoned he wont live for long while Stealth rock and Spikes speeds up his lifespan. Latias resists his preferred moveset and hit back hard or set up alongside it. Groudon can slam it with Earthquake but doesn't enjoy Fire blasts. Grass: Chansey again. She walls and poisons all with Toxic. Latias isn't 2HKO by Ice beam and hit back hard with boosted hits. Lugia walls and phaze it out. Shandera ensures that Grass Arceus isn't going anyway and OHKO with fire moves. Ice: The black horse of Arceus formes. Chansey walls it and again toxics it. Forretress sets up spikes on it. Lugia can wall even Avalanche versions thanks to Reflect and Multiscale. Water: Groudon messes it up and walls Swords Dancing versions. Lugia can Reflect and phaze. Latias hits it hard with boosted hits. Chansey poisons Calm Mind ones. Dark: Chansey toxics it and hope he lacks refresh. Shandera can pick off weaken ones with Overheat. This is the deadliest threat to the team if he has Refresh considering Lugia and Latias are weak to his stabs. Latias can wage a Calm Mind War with it. Refresh Dark Arceus can destroy the team with ease especially when Lugia is unable to phaze it out. Poison: Absorbing Toxic spikes is annoying but Groudon and Latias can take it on. Forretress can set up Spikes on some versions Flying Arceus: Stealth rock strips of a quarter of his health every turn. Groudon can hurt it with Stone edge. Lugia can take a Judgement and Ice beam for some damage or Whirlwind out. Chansey can toxic it and wall it to death. Latias smiles and use it as set up bait. Bug: Entry hazards make it's life hard. Chansey can Toxic it, Groudon can Stone edge. Shandera traps and OHKOes it. Psychic: Toxic, toxic,toxic.. Chansey again Toxics it and wall it to death. Lugia can wall it for a while and phaze it out. Latias resists Psychic and can hit hard with Dragon moves. Shandera can Shadow ball or Overheat to inflict massive damage. Rock: Groudon KOes most versions and walls Swords Dancing ones. Chansey can Toxic it and stall Calm Mind variants to death. Latias can Draco Meteor or major damage. Dragon: Chansey stops Calm Mind ones and Toxic stall it to death. Lugia and Groudon do fine against Physical ones. Latias can OHKO it if Arceus is slower. I usually play carefully against Recover Arceus as it might come in on the 1st layer of Toxic spikes and become virtually immune to Toxic Poison. Non Ubers Blissey: King of special walling, but unfortunately she is just forcing Lugia out with Toxic. Latias can Psycho shock her, Groudon can Earthquake, Chansey can Toxic war with her while Forretress can get in some layers. Chansey: Pretty much the same as Blissey only more physically bulky but she dies a lot easier to residual damage. Scizor: Forretress, Lugia, Groudon walls it. Shandera can trap and OHKO all versions. Heatran: A little problem here but thanks to the Taunt nerf, Lugia can outstall him. Groudon can OHKO with Earthquake. Chansey can smack him with Seismic Toss and Heatran isn't enjoying Spikes. Choice specs variants hit like a truck but I have Chansey, Latias and Lugia to get around him. If I have Earthquake on Lugia, countering Heatran will be a lot easier. While Heatran is anti-stall in general, Lugia's Earthquake combined with his sexy defenses will make Heatran run for his life. Skarmory: Say hi to Shandera who traps and OHKOes Skarmory if Sturdy isn't active. Lugia phazes him out not the other way round. Forretress can spin out Skarmory's Spikes and set up my own layers. Terakion: Groudon walls it and OHKO with Earthquake. Lugia can come in on anything not named Stone edge, set up Reflect and Recover back to full health. Shandera traps it if Terakion is stuck on bug or fighting moves and 2HKO with Shadow ball. Nattorei: Shandera traps and OHKOes this grassy steel shell. Forretress ruins his Spiking attempts with rapid spin and set up my own hazards. Kingdra: Groudon changes weather and KO with Earthquake or Dragon tail. Lugia halts his sweeping attempts. Chansey can take on unboosted ones. Qwilfish: Groudon laughs at it as not even Waterfall can do significant damage to the ground titan. Lugia can wall it while Latias can OHKO outright with any move. Kabutops: Groudon walls and OHKOes it. Lugia can do the same if Multiscale is active. Latias can take on unboosted ones or if the weather is not rainy. Ludicolo: Groudon changes weather, Chansey toxics it and Forretress can spin and lay out Spikes. Latias smacks the duck around with Draco Meteor or Psycho Shock. Tyranitar: Groudon OHKOes with Earthquake, Lugia can wall some versions while Chansey can take on Scarf ones. I don't like it when he is paired with Steel Arceus or Calm Mind Kyogre. If Tyranitar Pursuits Latias and Shandera, I will lose my powerhouses. Shedinja: Any entry hazard actually if that's insufficient Shandera traps and KOes it while surviving shadow sneak. Lugia can whirlwind it out. Jirachi: Shandera OHKOes even defensive ones assuming no rain. Groudon is immune to Thunder Wave and can KO with Earthquake. Forretress sets up on non fire punch ones. Scarf ones are still trapped by Shandera and OHKO by Groudon. Venusaur: Lugia walls all and KO with Ice beam or Whirlwind. Groudon survives Power whip and reply with Dragon tail or Earthquake. Without Earthquake, Shandera traps and KOes Venusaur. Chansey isn't 2HKO by anything unboosted and laughs at special varinats. Doryuuzu: Shandera traps and kills him if the weather isn't sand storm. Groudon can KO with Earthquake or Dragon tail out Balloon versions. Lugia can wall this mole with ease. Abomasnow: Shandera resists his STABs and OHKo even the sturdiest one with Overheat. Forretress can set up on it while resisting Abomasnow's stabs and can spin away Leech seed. Blaziken: Groudon OHKOes with Earthquake while surviving a Flare blitz. Lugia can wall out and with Multiscale it will be alot easier. Latias walls his stabs if it is not boosted. If Blazikne decides to High Jump Kick, Shandera can make him sad when he loses 50% of his health. Toxic Spikes will harm Blaziken. Lugia's Whirlwind blows his subs away meaning Baton pass ones also fail. Bronzong: Forretress foils his Stealth rocking attempts and set up Spikes on it. Shandera traps and OHKOes the BRO. Doredia: Lugia resists it's stab and KO with Ice beam or phaze. Shandera traps and OHKOes it. Chansey can Toxic and stall it out. Erufuun: Forretress can set up Spikes on it. Shandera traps and OHKO with fire moves. Lugia whirlwinds it out if there is no Taunt or KO with Ice beam. Latias can smack with Psycho shock. Weavile: Forretress walls choiced versions. Lugia walls it and can set up Reflect. ( Weavile needs a boosting item to KO Lugia) Multiscale helps in a pinch. Groudon survives Ice punch easily and KO with Stone edge. Chansey can take any attack even Low Kick. Sazandora: Lugia isn't 2HKO by anything and can reply with Ice beam. Chansey can laugh at him as only a Banded Outrage can 2HKO and shows the Evil pokemon how painful Toxic is. Groudon handles physical versions well. Latias beats him easily as she is faster while easily surviving Dark Pulse. Lucario: Shandera traps and OHKOes even +6 versions thanks to handy immunity to Normal and Fighting moves. Groudon can OHKO with Earthquake and survive +2 Close Combat without trouble. Lugia walls it easily if Stealth rocks is not on my field. Latias can kill weaken ones. Jumpluff: Forretress can spin away Leech Seed and set up Spikes. Shandera traps and OHKOes the flower puff. Lugia can blow Substitute away or Ice beam for the KO. Gastrodon: The slug can't do anything against me. Latias 2HKOes with shock or Draco Meteor while Chansey poisons it, Lugia phazes it around and Groudon Earthquakes it. Forretress can use it as set up bait. Ninjask: He cant pass anything as Lugia phazes through Subsitute and KO with Ice beam. Groudon laughs at it and Dragon tail the bug out. Shandera survives +6 X scissors and OHKO back but Shandera cannot stop Baton Passing versions. Steelix (best physical zekrom counter !) He can't do anything to my team. Groudon Earthquakes and Dragon tail him out before the opposite happens. Forretress sets up on it and spin away Steath rock. Shandera seals his fate with fire attacks. Cresselia: Huge defenses on both sides but she doesn't hit hard at all. Losing the ability to phaze like Lugia or Giratina means she is a abused a tad easier. Chansey can Toxic it, Groudon can come in set up Stealth rock on her, Lugia phazes her out, Forretress can pretty much use her as Spiking time unless Cresselia happens to have Magic coat or Hidden Power Fire. Latias sets up on her if Cresselia lacks a status move. (An interesting pokemon at least to me) Gyarados: It's sad my team handles Gyarados without a single problem at all. Defensive sets are phazed out by Groudon and Lugia before the reverse happens. Groudon can 2HKO with Stone Edge if he avoids Intimidate. Lugia and Groudon still walls offensive ones easily. Chansey walls Gyarados in the sun. Latias can OHKO Gyarados before Gyarados grabs a Dragon Dance. Forretress can Volt Change Gyarados and go to Groudon. Starmie: Shandera doesn't enjoy Surfs but Shadow ball can easily KO Starmie expecting to spin. Lugia and Latias walls the star without much trouble at all. Chansey walls Starmie all day. Cloyster: Can be probematic if he gets a Shell smashed. Toxic spikes and Stealth rock make Cloytser's life miserable. Chansey can take a +2 Icicle Spear should Cloyster lacks life orb. Forretress can take an attack and Volt Change or Gyro ball if I have it. Tentacruel: Removing my Toxic Spikes is going to annoy me which means if I see Tentacruel I set up Spikes instead of Toxic Spikes. Latias OHKOes with Psycho shock while Groudon OHKOes Tentacruel with Earthquake. Tentacruel can never get past Chansey or Lugia if he lacks Toxic. Forretress walls Tentacruel and can Volt Change to Latias if needed. Gengar: An annoying speedy pokemon. Latias can speed tie with him if he lacks Scarf. If Gengar packs Scarf, Lugia and Groudon can take a hit and strike back hard. Latias survives Shadow ball and OHKO back with Psycho shock or Draco Meteor. Chansey walls all but needs to avoid Trick. Groudon outspeeds and OHKOes Iron Ball Gengar expecting to absorb Toxic Spikes with Earthquake. Exeggutor: Sleep powder is annoying but Latias and Lugia walls it. Chansey does not fear anything as even Explosion fails to KO due to the nerf. Shandera traps and OHKOes the coconut tree. Shandera: Very annoying as it can trap and KO Groudon and Forretress. Other than that Shandera isn't killing anyone. Sub Calm Mind ones are troublesome if he comes in on Chansey. I have to get Toxic Spikes out against those variants. Latias can kill Shandera and my own Shandera revenges opposing ones. Lugia isn't 2HKO by anything and can phaze it out or Earthquake it. Celebi: Ok, Celebi is not escaping Shandera who will OHKO the little grass pixie. Lugia and Latias walls Celebi easily regardless of moveset. Chansey walls all but hates Leech Seed. Forretress gets free layers against her as long as she lacks Hidden Power Fire. Registeel: Groudon OHKOes it after a bit of damage. The robot's pathetic attack stat means he is easily abused by Groudon or Forretress. Shandera OHKOes in the sun. Smeargle: Inconsistent is going to be irritating as I have terrible luck here. Anyway, Toxic Spikes hampers Smeargle while Whirlwind removed boosts if Smearge lacks ingrain. Groudon can Dragon tail Smeargle out. Latias outspeeds and OHKO as can Shandera. Genosect: Troll speed and good typing. U turn can hurt Latias but that's all. Groudon takes physical attacks well, Lugia walls most if not all. Forretress set up Spikes on Flamethower less variants. Chansey walls it. Shandera traps and OHKOes unless he U-turns out. Kerudio: Fast Speed and high Attacking stats but too bad Lugia walls it easily especially in the sun, Chansey and Latias wall special versions and OHKO in Latias's case with boosted Psycho Shock. Kirikizan: Powerful priority but too bad he cannot harm my team too much. Groudon walls him easily and OHKO with Earthquake. Lugia walls it and can set up Reflect before a Night slash. Forretress can get in some layers on him. Chansey can take some hits. Mamoswine: Forretress spins away Stealth rock and can get Spikes up against Mamoswine. Lugia and Groudon walls this elephant and send him back to the Ice Age with Earthquake or Whirlwind. Shandera traps all but Scarf versions. Lead ones are foiled by Forretress or Shandera. Hihidaruma: Massive power but Groudon and Lugia defeats him one-on-one. Shandera can deal massive damage to him with Overheat or Shadow Ball. Chansey can survive a hit from the scarf set. Toxic spikes shortens his life span. Warubiaru: A pursuiter immune to Thunder wave and Psychics. Too bad, Groudon walls him. Lugia can halt his sweeping abilities with Reflect and Multiscale plus Whirlwind. Forretress can get some layers on him. Shandera traps Scarfless ones. Roserade: Abosrbing Toxic spikes is annoying, but Chansey and Lugia can wall the flower. Ice beam can 3HKO Roserade. Shandera traps and OHKO her with fire moves. Latias can take anything even Hidden Power Ice and KO with Psycho Shock. Please rate away..
One of the most comprehensive RMTs I've ever seen; well done! Team looks great, not many problems I can see. Once Groudon is taken out, I'd imagine Choice Band Zekrom causing some troubles. The only Pokemon that isn't OHKOd by Lightning Strike is Latias, and even then it's 2HKOd, whilst Dragon Pulse isn't an OHKO. If it's taken some damage beforehand, then you might find yourself in trouble. Since teams featuring Zekrom almost always carry Pokemon designed to get rid of Groudon, I wonder what your strategies are for dealing with it? Other than that, the team looks great. Good luck!
Amazing! By the way, you might have problems with physical attackers once Groudon is down. :D EDIT: AND, Doryuuzu is also a good counter for Zekrom. Immune to Electric and resistant to Dragon. Spoiler WOO!! Finally back![/HIDE]
Doryuuzu is 2HKOed by Outrage lol And AWESOME team. Just try to preserve your groudon, so it can take zekrom's attacks.
I don't really see anything wrong with it... Espiecially after all your hard work with the threat list. 5/5. Well done! And good effort - Best I've seen probably.
This is a good team, and I'd rather it doesn't stay locked - please PM me an importable version and I'll unlock this. added and unlocked ~ete
Spoiler What? Groudon isn't even the main physical wall. The MVP of the team,Lugia is the main physical wall. The only physical attacker in Ubers whom Lugia cannot counter is Zekrom, who isn't even guaranteed in getting past Lugia. For reference, a Choice Scarf Lightning Strike will never OHKO my Lugia without Reflect. Also, Forretress can wall some physical threats such as Garchomp too. Doryuuzu has horrible defenses so Zekrom easily 2HKOes it with Outrage. Ground Arceus is the best Zekrom counter but I already have Groudon so it is uneeded. For Zekrom, Latias can come in on a Lightning Strike as well and OHKO with Dragon Pulse. A simple Stealth Rock damage or Spikes will put Zekrom in KO range which isn't hard since this is a stall team, getting hazards out is the first priority. Also Shandera can pick off a wide range of threats such as Swords Dance Rayquaza, Groudon and a weaken Zekrom.
I wouldn't mind taking a crack at trying to break this team. It is one of the best I have seen, and you went so in-depth in your counters, that I have the feeling almost nothing can break it... so I want to try :)
im just curious how u stop thundurus? a lead can taunt ur forretress so he cant do much, grass knot 2hkos groudon (most carry sash), it can para chandy (defeating the purpose of a revenge killer), lugia (a para at the wrong time could be fatal) and latias (same as lugia).
Well what if you get walled out by cahndelure? Replace leftovers with shed shell since you are in DW ubers and that shadow tag chandelure is a big threat. I really would ditch toxic for something else for protect perhaps on chansey?? :/ I mean after setting up T-spikes (and I doubt I will ever see arceus poision) you just wasted a moveslot on her
