Hey guys! I just discovered how to play Pokemon Online on a mac computer!

Go here http://winebottler.kronenberg.org/ and download that free package.
Drag and drop wine and winebottler into your applications folder, then download the windows version of Pokemon Online.
Run Pokemon Online and wine and winebottlers should download it like you are on a pc then run it. It works great for me, except the pop ups are in a different language, but that's okay!

I'm glad I can finally join you guys online on my mac ;)

Would be cool if someone else could try this and confirm it works.

I've had someone else already try, it works perfectly. You need an intel based mac though. To find out if you do press on the apple and go to about this computer, see if it says intel.

Why would it matter what processor it uses?

I don't know but that's what I read when using wine.

Because wine doesn't emulate processor. It only emulates windows libraries. Binaries still need to be i386 (maybe x86-64, not sure).

Btw, if any Mac users are interested in native build, check the other Mac thread.

    Works fine for me. But I also have popups in what looks to be french D;
    Some other things too.
If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know

    Edit:
My entire team builder is in another language as well. Help?

You can change your language from the main menu. On the menu bar across the top of the start window, click the language tab.

That happened to me, Pokenut, and it wasn't fixed by just changing the language at the language tab. I had to change the language and restart the application.

Yeah, I forgot to mention to restart the program. It's not only Macs you have to do that on.

Well Lamprei's build worked just fine as long as you had Snow Leopard, though it's no longer up to date.

I have leopard, not snow leopard... Any chance of a build for plain old leopard?

Lamprei's working on it. It's a libzip issue. I think libzip itself might have to be targeted at leopard before being compiled. I did suggest just cramming in every single libzip file instead of just the dylib, but that was just me not knowing what I'm talking about since I just tried that myself(pasted them all in the packaged contents) and it did nothing.
    I dunno.

Follow this link and click on the Mac download. It's easier.

Probably a fake site. You should only download from http://pokemon-online.eu or from the SourceForge project page (for Windows) linked from the main site.

Groshi gave you the link to the downloads page, you can get it from there.

So my P.O. just suddenly stopped opening. I click "Go" after opening P.O., and then nothing happens...

Try to remove the preferences files.

    ~/Library/Preferences/com.dreambelievers.*.plist

Note: in Lion you can't open Library from Finder. Use either google to find out how to show hidden libraries or use terminal for that.

As far as I can tell there was no preference folder. I downloaded the latest version, and am trying to open the setup file. Nothing happens after I click "go". This is a recent development...

If you use Finder the "Preferences" folder might be localized.
