Client Type (ex. PC, Android, Webclient): PC (Windows 7, 8 GB of RAM) Client Version (if known. Webclient has no version.): 2.7.2.1 When did you first notice the bug?: August 26, 2017. Have you been able to reproduce the bug?: I'm too scared to. Information (include relevant logs, replays, screenshots): I had my Ditto copy my opponent's Oranguru and it was Choice Scarfed into Instruct, so I Instructed my opponent's Oranguru, who also Instructed (the turn before). It basically had a loop of Oranguru using the move instructed by Ditto, and then Oranguru used Instruct. Then Ditto used the move instructed by Oranguru, and then Ditto used Instruct. It crashed PO so I couldn't print screen it. It was an entire screen of the Instruct loop and it only stopped because my computer couldn't handle it anymore. (It crashed midloop) In case you're wondering how it got into that situation, it was a double battle. (If applicable) Sources to confirm the presence of a bug (ex. Smogon): https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Instruct_(move) This says Instruct should fail if the target's most recent move is Instruct.
HBC was able to replicate it and it stopped because the whole battle server declared everything a tie.
