I removed the other thread due to it literally being a direct copy of the Smogon thread's contents.

Discuss notable sets and sets that you think might be good in this SM Ubers metagame.

Anyways just wanted to say that Hynosis Mega Gengar is an absolute monster since it no longer needs to run Protect thanks to the Mega Evolution speed buff. With Substitute, you have an 84% chance to hit Hypnosis and can then proceed to wreck shit with Hex + Focus Blast. Also, the removal of certain megas means there is even less opportunity cost to using this monster (not like there was much of a cost back in ORAS anyways...)

    Arceus-Dark @ Dread Plate
    Ability: Multitype
    EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk
    - Judgment
    - Calm Mind
    - Recover
    - Refresh / Will-O-Wisp

The Darkceus is back! Dark typing is going to be really awesome this gen, with the nerf of Klefki & the Mega-Diancieless metagame at the moment. It is a solid check to Yveltal, and has access to Will-O-Wisp in order to cripple opposing physical threats. Lunala, Mega Gengar and Ghostceus are only some of the threats that have risen in this gen and Darkceus is a solid answer to all the the above.

    Solgaleo @ Normalium Z
    Ability: Full Metal Body
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Jolly Nature
    - Splash
    - Sunsteel Strike
    - Earthquake
    - Stone Edge

This Solgaleo set is very Unique than Others. splash + normalium Z boosts its Attack by +3. It is a nightmare to stall and it can work easily with Sticky Web Support ( Shuckle Is the Best ones ). Also Pair it with a CM Wisp Recover Darkceus set for more Coverage.
Yes , Me and my friend made this. This works well with Shuckle Sticky Web Support. I hope people will try it out

This is my another new set,

    Groudon @ Red Orb
    Ability: Drought
    EVs: 156 HP / 252 SpA / 100 Spe
    Modest Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
    - Eruption
    - Rock Polish
    - Hidden Power [Ice]
    - Earth Power

This set is Broken in this gen. After a Rock Polish no one can Out speed and Damage us. We can just Sweep them with Eruption. Both Eruption and Earth power is a Powerful Same Type Attack bonus ( STAB ) For Primal groudon . HP - Ice is to deal with Dragon Mons that No one will expect. It can just sweep anything.

Isn't Dragon Pulse better over HP ice? Or does it hit something else?

Dragon Pulse is overall better imo, although now that Latios/Latias have dropped in usage, i could see Hp Ice getting better usage.

    252+ SpA Groudon-Primal Dragon Pulse vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Giratina-Origin: 226-268 (51.2 - 60.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
    252+ SpA Groudon-Primal Hidden Power Ice vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Giratina-Origin: 160-190 (36.2 - 43%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

On Salamence you have 50% to OHKO the bulky dd set, while dpulse is 2HKO.
On Rayquaza you have 100% OHKO, while dpulse is 2HKO.

To be honest it is up to the user.

Agreed with Orange here. PGroudon's not getting in at full HP without immense support and/or luck, so imo you want reliable firepower. Hell, even Lava Plume could be worth looking into, because of the burn rate. It would help the bluff too, because support PGroudon often runs it, and it can force switches.

It probably misses out on a fair few KOs though.

    Solgaleo @Choice Scarf
    Ability: Fullmetal Body
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252Spe
    Adamant Nature
    - Sunsteel Strike
    - Earthquake
    - Flare Blitz
    - Wild Charge

At first I thought scarfed Solgaleo isn't that good. But after using it in a new team i have to say I was wrong. SST is a strong stab move an hits hard, EQ is for Pdon, Flare Blitz for example for Gene, Ferro, Scizor and Wild Charge for Kyogre and flying types like Ho-oh

    Arceus @ Pixie Plate
    Trait: Multitype
    EVs: 252 HP / 64 Def / 192 Spe
    Timid Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk
    - Calm Mind
    - Judgment
    - Recover
    - Will-o-Wisp / Earth Power

    Explanation:-
Pardon my formatting. Didn't c/p. I use this set to check YGod/Darceus as well as cripple MLuc with WOW at most times. WOW is used to cripple phys arcs, leo, even magearna switchins and make CMing easier. EP can be used to wreck em + PDon.

192+ Speed puts it at 356 speed to outrun Jolly Mega Lucario which was the main point of the spread all along. 252 in HP to enhance the CMs and the rest is dumped in Defense for bulk. Another point is I highly suggest Wisp as they cripple Ferro and MScizor which is a huge plus. Have fun using it!
