This is a somewhat simple tier to understand in Smogon, but definitely complex to build around, so I thought I would propose the idea of bringing it over here to PO. (This will have to be played in the Hackmons tier obv) All information needed about the Smogon tier is found here. TLDR; All pokemon in slots 2-6 may ONLY use moves and abilities that the BASE pokemon in slot 1 has. (so not the mega's ability, if they are different.) If a Mega Pokemon is in the first slot, teammates have access to the base form's ability. (MegaZard X cant pass Tough Claws to its teammates, but it can pass Solar Power.) Followers are bound to the same illegalities and restrictions as their leaders (if Clefable is your leader, you cant run Softboiled and Unaware on the same Pokemon.) Banlist: Standard OU banlist and clauses. Smeargle, Shedinja, Regigigas, Slaking, Huge/Pure Power, Shadow Tag, Imposter, Arena Trap, Gale Wings, and Chatter are banned. Aegislash is unbanned. I am not familiar with smogon's OU bans, but since this is PO I figured I could run with the OU bans on PO anyways. If all that looks familiar, it's because I literally just copy/pasted from the thread I linked.
You forgot to include the Gale Wings ban that happened recently. Given PS has the ability to weed out the illegalities and things like that, you're gonna have to be more specific on the ruleset (event moves, nature locks, etc.) here. Since you're gonna have to play this in Balanced Hackmons, sending teams might be a thing to consider as well to prevent bypassing the EV limit.
Editted the Gale Wings ban into the OP. Thinking of banning Archeops, wonder guard and prankster maybe too. Yes, I was planning on only allowing 508 EV's, and reviewing each team myself and seeing if all the event moves, illegalities, restrictions etc. are fine for each team. What do you mean by sending teams?
As in, players send you their teams before they battle. "Reviewing each team myself" qualifies as that so it's no biggie. Wonder Guard is banned under Shedinja (because nothing else gets it). Banning more than what is intended... Eh. TDs would have to weigh in on that one.
Are you suggesting shedinja shouldn't be banned? That could be, but I would have to possibly ban shedinja with sturdy. I would like to hear more opinions on that though
I'm not sure how the idea of wonder guard on any mon would work out though. If you get wonder guard on a specs exploud and they don't have access to a fighting move it is literally over.
I would like to see the addition of Wonder Guard to the banlist, other than that it looks fine. Approved 1/2
