During E3, Nintendo has been running its Treehouse event, and there was a big section on Pokémon Go, which is just finishing up right now. During that section, Shigeru Miyamoto seemingly revealed the projected release window for the Pokémon Go Plus extra device, for use with the Pokémon Go app. He said they were aiming for "the end of July". This was then followed up by the other panellists, including Bill Trinen, TheJWittz and Junichi Masuda, stating that the Niantic devs will have to rush to get the app out before the Pokémon Go Plus device is released. So there's a HUGE chance that we will be seeing Pokémon Go on our smartphones before the end of July. Furthermore, they seemed to confirm that the app itself will be free to download. They also announced a target price for the Pokémon Go Plus device - $34.99. This will likely be closer to £29.99 in the UK, and €32.99 in Europe, but those 2 figures are purely speculative. Anyone looking forward to Pokémon GO? Anyone currently in the field test? (Joe @ Serebii.com has also posted this information on their front page, but I got this info from watching it myself, so no confirmation links are necessary :P)
When GO is released I'm gonna sell all my stuff, quit my job and travel the world to become a Pokémon Master!
http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/nianti...lease/pokemon-go-0-29-0-android-apk-download/ Doesn't mean you can't play it
Hah! You tea sipping brits have to sit there and cry while I can go and...watch the "servers are experiencing difficulties" screen. Seriously I've been able to only play for about half an hour last night and that's it. At least when you get it the servers should be more stable. Though that half hour was pretty fun. People in my apartment complex were wondering why I was getting my feet wet looking for fucking magikarp in our little pond.
There's been reports of Nintendo banning devices that download the apk and play early. I'm not risking it.
Well now it went from staring at the servers down screen to getting error messages when I catch pokemon. Field tests are awesome.
It's annoying how buggy it is, personally every time I try to play it the servers are down - however I have friends who have already beaten multiple gyms and have caught 50+ pokemon so idk
I imagine that it is nice to be able to play the game, even if just for short amounts. But it's cool, Nintendo are going to be releasing Sun and Moon worldwide at the same time too, and not fucking over Europe again. Right guys? Guys? Spoiler srsly tho fuk pkmn
The servers have been on and off. The Google accounts are working much more often than the PTC accounts though
We actually got an official update here in the UK: They've delayed any further releases so they can work on the servers and other issues. RIP.
It's okay, that means you won't catch a snorlax only for the server to tell you to go fuck yourself (:3=
Also the thread title no longer makes sense cause Pokémon Go is already out. Maybe change the thread title to "Pokémon Go Discussion Thread"? or stuff like that.
Edited the title. I think it is accurate. Kinda worried how far behind those that downloaded it illegally I'm gonna be... but then I remember that most people around this area are all pensioners and rich fucks that don't play Pokémon. Gyms will be free as fuck.
ud be surprised of how many ppl downloaded the apk, literally millions, there's no way they're banning that many people + even in the fucking 3rd world tiny country that i live in where pokemon is considered for little kids and no one "openly" plays it, every single gym has been taken over by different people and they all have some high lvl mons and im so far behind lmao, it's rly fun tho i have limited play time but i manage to make the most of it and im lucky that the servers are working fine most of the time
Well, you'd be a week and counting behind basically, minus the substantial server downtime. I don't know about your area, but there is a sizeable player base where I am and apparently also in my University area from what I gleaned from FB posts. Several times, I've taken a gym and it gets retaken in a matter of minutes. One day, all six nearby gyms will be Instinct, and then the next it will be divided between Mystic and Valor. I know there are players in my area at level 20 already. It is not even a particularly highly populated area (by London standards), and I imagine that the gyms in the inner city will be even more fiercely fought over. This is all without the official UK release. I somehow doubt there is a single gym on the mainland that has not been claimed at least once before. Anyway, I look forward to the official release. Hopefully, it won't be too long. Maybe I'll actually see some other Team Instinct members. I've only seen people from the other two teams so far, and polls do suggest we have the fewest members. We do currently hold 5/6 of the local gyms so they must be out there somewhere!
People are playing everywhere here yesterday a saw a group of 20 people walking together lol At first there where a lot of team Valor and Mystic, but team Instinct is on the rise!
I found out about this from Serebii, but I have checked myself. The official Nintendo UK Store website has listed the following requirements for the Pokémon GO Plus addon: "* Compatible Smartphones: Pokémon GO Plus will be compatible with iPhone 5/5c/5s/SE/6/6s/6 Plus/6s Plus and operating systems iOS 8 – 9. As of July 2016, the Pokémon GO Plus compatibility with phones using the Android operating system is under development." I hope everyone who has an Android phone (including me) holds off on pre-ordering one until Android systems are confirmed to work with the device.
Fwiw it's not released in Japan yet. That's only for Android beta testers. These are the release dates to my knowledge: July 6: Australia and New Zealand (and Japan Android Beta testers) July 7: U.S. July 13: Germany July 14: U.K. July 15: Spain, Italy, and Portugal If I'm wrong somewhere lmk or w/e Oak EDIT: topic updated
10:43: The International rollout for Pokémon GO has restarted with the release of the game on iOS and Android in Pokémon GO is now live in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, and Switzerland. The rollout is continuing but we don't know what will be released and when but the moment that news on that comes, it shall be posted here. Be sure to check our section for the full details of this game, which are still being added to. Source: serebii.net @Memo' since u have a thread too
haha, everywhere but France I slightly understand currently though. Releasing an app that forces you to go outside within 48 hours of a terrorist attack would come across as a bit shitty.
I've heard reports of Pokémon GO being officially released in Japan. I've yet to update the topic's title just in case this isn't true, as it hasn't been officially confirmed, but if there's any notable downtime tomorrow, that may be the cause of it. EDIT: Serebii has confirmed the Japanese release. js that I had the info first :P
RIP servers. Seriously can they stop releasing to other countries without addressing issues first? I feel like the Japanese are going to be extremely pissed when they find out how ass the tracker is lmao
Serebii are now reporting that Pokémon GO is now live in Hong Kong. Considering how Tohjo is most days, I imagine a few players will enjoy this news.
quem fala pokemon go Pokémon Go has now been released in Central and Southern American countries, according to Serebii. euhueheuheuhue
Pokémon Go has now been released in a lot of countries in South East Asia, and most of Oceania. It's getting to the point where I'm going to stop editing countries in unless they are massively important markets that have been left off til that point.
