since powc is over and i probably won't touch it ever again (unless i have to lol) i figured i might as well drop my teams here. idk where else to post things but i wanted to put up some sets i used, wanted to use, w.e Gogoat @ Leftovers Ability: Sap Sipper EVs: 248 HP / 20 Def / 208 SpD / 32 Spe Careful Nature - Bulk Up - Milk Drink - Horn Leech - Earthquake its actually a cool 'mon, just a little hard to effectively get off the ground at times. arguably the best shaymin switch in the tier, since it's both resilient as hell to chipping, avoids spdef drop issues outright, etc. also checks ampharos and conservative boosters thru balances w/proper support. mandatory to really encouraged support for it include pursuit (targets sigi / zonger), cleric support to downplay status-weak, and something to bait and whittle goodra (i was running ib sigi and lanturn, for instance). cool v.balance and bulky offenses unless ur opp runs jelli w/a billion speed Klefki @ Choice Band Ability: Prankster EVs: 252 HP / 144 Atk / 112 SpD Careful Nature - Switcheroo - Spikes - Thunder Wave - Play Rough used this on my all-choice team for superstars, but i do think it has legit implications here. the way i've always contemplated klefki's role, i figure any given set should be built as spikes / twave / utility v.balances (tox, heal block, etc.) / filler, and this is a pretty unique one that i think suits the current meta. this set is the most likely to punish a defog from gonner (ev'ed to ohko after sr) / mandibuzz (doesn't press for nearly as much, but is much more drastically punished by the cb via sr-weak), who could generally make the pivot in spite of the fairy-weak b.c klefki hits for nothin. this also punishes dudes that'd generally find themselves making aggro pushes into klefki, notably shaymin and ampharos. changes the dynamic a bit b.c u gotta predict a lil more than the usual klefki, but it's dope all the same Cloyster @ White Herb / Kings Rock / Lum Berry Ability: Skill Link EVs: 128 HP / 156 Atk / 20 SpD / 204 Spe Adamant Nature - Shell Smash - Substitute - Icicle Spear - Rock Blast not majorly innovative, but i'd call this the optimized, non-lo cloyster set. kings rock gets a bad rap for being purely luck-based, and i get that, but really i'm viewing it primarily as a tool to potentially punch through a mola while keeping a sub up, maybe press a lefties-less steel, etc. mixed value item, but worth consideration. should use dudes that can bait and knock off / burn / poison the right steels and waters. Mandibuzz @ Leftovers Ability: Overcoat EVs: 248 HP / 36 SpD / 224 Spe Careful Nature - Roost - Taunt - Knock Off - Brave Bird i hate running defog buzz personally, and this is neat. brave bird both keeps fighters like emboar from sneaking in and going for free beats (cool b.c it's lame for balances and not every team can run a duggy) and 2hkos shaymin to circumvent sequences of spdef drop / crit fishing. it allows also buzz, along w/speed, to win out on stallbreaking mirrors, which is neat. you'd likely need to be dropping it on stuff like lix balance so you can get toxic off on the key dudes to allow leeway for the set, but its nice overall. Arcanine @ Shuca Berry Ability: Intimidate EVs: 248 HP / 92 Def / 152 SpD / 16 Spe Impish Nature - Morning Sun - Flare Blitz - Will-O-Wisp - Toxic defensive arca is dope, but i'm put off largely by the duggy weak. shuca is a neat tech for circumventing that + stuffing a spare shaymin check in edgewise (spdef evs ensure it takes under 33.3% from lo seed flare / ep (w/shuca up), meaning even with a spdef drop you'll live 2 from full and ko in turn). slotting espeed somewhere is an option, but made less necessary w/the tech and ultimately just ok from my experiences.
