INTRODUCTION It all started with the ubers ladder challenge organised by @Poke Expert. My first thought was "this is bullshit" (and it actually was), but I decided to build a team since I have some experience at using meme teams. Last months have been quite good for me, made it to round 11 of seasonal, won this shitty ladder challenge, and improved a lot. You are probably not reading this bs, so let's FUCKING START. This bullshit everyone does for some reason idk This team is so good, so I thought you should listen to somesongs while reading this. Cause noone reached that high on the ladder challenge I just didn't ladder anymore. Building Process Spoiler: Building Process When I saw the point system, I knew I shoud build a stall team. This is because using niche mons is a lot easier in stall than in any other playstyle. Also, Mega Sab was only worth 3 points out of 12, so that made me able to build the starting core at a relatively cheap price. So I started with MegaSab+Chansey. A simple stall core Then I needed an equivalent to Arceus-Water, which was too expensive. I decided to add Arceus-Dragon, which can also help vs MegaMence or Rayquaza. It's my defogger and completes the anti-hazard core. Every stall team needs a Stealth Rocker and a way to deal with Ho-Oh. I had experience at using Rhyperior, so I went for it. Solid Rocks helps me check some mons in a pinch (like PDon). It's a Rest set cause burns are annoying. Some Xern sets could rekt my ass now, as well as some POgre sets. Which mon can check both. Exactly. You were thinking about it (you weren't). Shedinja The God. Right now I thought everyone was more or less covered, and I had 4 points left to spend. I wanted some glue mon, that could help against top threats like pdon, megamence, etc. So I chose Lugia, which helps against pretty much everything thanks to Multiscale. At this point I got 6-0'ed by CM Arceus and I had no win condition. So I replaced lugia by CM Rest POgre, which could help me against enemy stall teams + remove TTar Sandstorm. Baton Pass Shed + POgre seemed a good core after all. So here's the Team At A Glance(animated sprites are for lowbobs) - "Hey m8, this is an ORAS Ubers team, where the fuck is PDon?" THERE'S NO PDON YOU F***ING RETARD In Depth Analysis 1 (Chansey) @ Eviolite Ability: Natural Cure EVs: 252 Def / 252 SpD Calm Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Soft-Boiled - Seismic Toss - Toxic - Heal Bell The cleric of the team. Chansey walls almost every special attacker, and then proceeds to kill with Toxic and/or Seismic Toss. I decided to go for a +SpDef nature cause the amount of bulk it benefits of it is much more than it would do of a +Def nature. Heal Bell helps my team deal with status. It's important to keep chansey alive cause if my team gets statused I'm pretty much fucked up. 4 (Sableye-Mega) @ Sablenite Ability: Prankster EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD IVs: 0 Atk - Fake Out - Will-O-Wisp - Foul Play - Recover Full Def Mega Sab. Bounces back hazards and status, checks ekiller, groundceus in a pinch, physical attackers in general. Fake Out lets me mega evolve whenever I want to, W-o-W to cripple switch ins, Foul Play to rekt those noobs who think boosting is a good idea, and Recover is Recover. It's a pretty standard set, it does what it's meant to do. 6 (Arceus-Dragon) @ Draco Plate Ability: Multitype EVs: 200 HP / 252 Def / 56 Spe Bold Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Judgment - Recover - Toxic - Defog DragonCeus is a Waterceus, but cheaper (and worse) in this challenge. Helps me check the most dangerous mons in the tier: PDon, MegaMence, Rayquaza, etc. Judgment to damage whatever is on the enemy side. It's quite powerful even without investment. Recover is (again) Recover, Toxic to spread status, which stalls relies on to win and Defog to let Shedinja do its job. It's a MUST to keep this alive. Otherwise, the opponent will set up rocks and just win. 7 (Rhyperior) @ Leftovers Ability: Solid Rock EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def Impish Nature - Earthquake - Rock Blast - Stealth Rock - Rest Ho-Oh doesn't even 3HKO this with Earthquake. 'Nuff said. Rhyperior is also my Stealth Rock setter. It was worth 1 point only and thanks to Solid Rock it helps against a lot of stuff that, although hitting supereffectively, do 0 damage thanks to this awesome ability. Earthquake + Rock Blast for STAB + Coverage. Rock Blast > Stone Edge cause some Ho-Oh think are safe behind a Substitute. Rest to deal better with burns. EV's to help deal with Ho-Oh. 8 (Shedinja) @ Focus Sash Ability: Wonder Guard EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe Lonely Nature - Will-O-Wisp - Toxic - Baton Pass - Shadow Sneak Shed The God. Wonder Guard allows this stupid mon to survive EVERYTHING that is not supereffective. FUCKING EVERYTHING. Focus Sash allows Shed to take ONE hit. You need to be smart and decide when you're gonna take advantage of your sash. Sableye and DragonCeus are on this team just to let Shedinja switch in, so make sure you don't let it die. This is my main POgre and Xern check, so keep it alive. Double Status to status everything. Shadow Sneak for priority, can help against Deo-A or against mons whose Sash has been broken. Baton Pass to keep momentum, and also helps against TTar, which can kill Shed if it stays in due to Darude - Sandstorm damage. Kyogre-Primal @ Blue Orb Ability: Primordial Sea EVs: 240 HP / 252 Def / 16 SpD Bold Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Scald - Ice Beam - Calm Mind - Rest POgre is my wincon against stall teams. It went for a CM set cause opponent CM Arceus formes were annoying. Max Def lets Kyo be useful VS HO, it can kill MegaMence or revenge kill PDon. It can also survive a +2 ESpeed from EKiller, a Dragon Ascent from LO Rayquaza, etc. Scald for da barns, ofc. Ice Beam for dragons and PDon switchins. CM to boost myself to death and Rest cause it doesn't learn recover. TBH it's the mon I would feel like replacing the most. Threat List - TTar and its Mega to an extent will always be a problem cause I can't switch in Shedinja safely if there's a TTar on the opponent's team. - Mega Diancie can be a pain in the ass, specially if it's running Stealth Rock. DragonCeus can't touch it and can't spam toxic due to Magic Bounce. Chansey and Kyo can check it, but Kyo needs to be awake and Chansey can't spam Toxic either. No sprite cuz android - Mega Gengar can trap most of my mons and kill them. It can trap chansey for free, the others will hit gar for some damage, but if played well it can kill 3 or more mons - CM Darkceus and CM Rockceus are a Pain in the ass, specially the former. All I can do is try to win a CM war w/Kyo or try to PP stall w/Chansey. - Mixed Rayquaza w/ Draco Meteor means nothing can't switch in safely. Random mons that run some status mon and can kill Shedinja surprisingly. Thanks everyone for (not) reading this RMT, hope you didn't like it. It took me like 4 hours to make this lol. Hello mate and thanks for the s/o! That's a cool RMT and also gratz for winning the challenge. If i had to say something about this, is adding Mega Gengar to your threats list. You know how it works and it can cause a lot of problems to that team. Apart from that it is a solid one! gratz again :)
given the boundaries, the team is successful. I would suggest using arc-ground w Defog Toxic Judgment Recover to help v mega gengar, diancie and paradance pdon. I would then go lugia>cm ogre to help with Mence and Ray ray. and then clef>chansey makes sense to me. idk if this is allowed w the restrictions, but that seems more optimized for a stall team then the one rmt'd here. anyways congrats on winning
