Hi everyone, it's about time I present you a new Monotype team that I built very recently and that has a very good ratio at the moment. The idea of the team was to deal with most common types ( Steel, Flying, Dragon) but that left me with a weakness to Mega Gardevoir and Mega Venusaur.

    Azumarill (M) @ Leftovers

    Trait: Sap Sipper

    EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 140 SDef / 28 Spd

    IVs: 0 Atk

    Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)

    - Rest

    - Sleep Talk

    - Scald

    - Toxic

Starting with the pokemon that helps me dealing with most grass/fighting/dragon mon, Azumarill. I know, it's not huge power but Sap sipper helps a LOT versus Breloom/Cradily/Ferrothorn and I pass some. Since it is supposed to last long enough, I gave it Rest and Sleep talk to have more utility. I gave it the best move of the game in scald so it can easily burn Mega Scizor, Ferrothorn and most the pokemon that used to counter it. Finally, Toxic helps me spreading poison versus dragons. The spread I gave helps me taking 3 LO Psyshock from Latias, the rest is in spe def so I can tank more hits. It is possible to play max physically defensive but I prefered this mixed one.

    Keldeo-Resolute (Keldeo-R) @ Choice Scarf

    Trait: Justified

    EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd

    IVs: 0 Atk

    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

    - Scald

    - Secret Sword

    - Icy Wind

    - Hydro Pump

Keldeo is the absolute revenge killer of the team and also the best way of dealing with Monodark once Sableye is down. Scald and Secret Sword are obvious stabs, Icy Wind helps revenge killing some dragons ( such as Dragonite ) and also slow down other dragons such as Mega Altaria so other members of the teams revenge kill it. For the last move I gave Hydro Pump because you sometimes you need the extra power to take down more threats. Generally I spam Scald and Secret Sword though

    Swampert (M) @ Leftovers

    Trait: Torrent

    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef

    Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)

    - Stealth Rock

    - Scald

    - Earthquake

    - Roar

Swampert is in my opinion a must in a good Monowater, for serveral reasons. Its ground type gives it an immunity to Electric which is very helpful in a lot of situations such against Monoelectric ( however scout everytime for HP grass with Azumarill!). It forms a good core with Azumarill capable of countering Kyurem-B which is a huge threat in Monotype due to its ability to run Fusion Bolt and Ice Beam. Stealth rocks is the o broken move it is, Scald is just a spammable move whatever you do, as burns really help you out in many several, it makes in a way a 'check' to Mega Scizor, depending your luck with scalds. Earthquake is a good move and good stab that allows me dealing with some Steel Mon such as Empoleon and is a solid move overall. I gave it roar with phy def spread so it phaze out Mega Altaria, Mega Scizor and set up mon generally.

    Gyarados (M) @ Gyaradosite

    Trait: Intimidate

    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd

    Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

    - Dragon Dance

    - Substitute

    - Crunch

    - Waterfall

Sub Mega Gyarados is your only win condition to Monoghost, you have no way of removing hazards which means you have to apply a lot of pressure to the opponent team with Gyarados. Substitute allows you not getting burned by scald/wisp/lava plume and allows you in general to do a more safe set up. If you feel like Dragonite is an issue you need to deal with, don't hesitate to replace Sub by Ice Fang. Waterfall is very important as a stab as it hits a lot of types neutrally and provides you also a way of haxing the opponent, which is always welcome. Crunch is in my opinion necessary so you can 6-0 Monopsy and MonoGhost after 2 Dragon Dance.

    Manaphy @ Leftovers

    Trait: Hydration

    EVs: 92 HP / 164 SAtk / 252 Spd

    IVs: 0 Atk

    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

    - Tail Glow

    - Scald

    - Ice Beam

    - Energy Ball

Ah Manaphy. This pokemon is a set up sweeper that allows me to beat a lot of threats for Monowater, such as Gastrodon, Seismitoed and Mega Garchomp, Dragonite and a lot of dragons in general. However, I came to the conclusion it's the only member of the team that can take a hit from Venusaur and threatens it back with Psychic. Energy Ball/Scald/Ice Beam being way too important to be replaced, I left that opening to Venusaur and it really can take my out easily.

    Starmie @ Life Orb

    Trait: Analytic

    EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd

    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

    - Rapid Spin

    - Scald

    - Psychic

    - Ice Beam

I needed a spinner, and another hitter to put pressure on Dragons and Fighting, which is why I picked Starmie as a fast sweeper and Analytic letting it hitting stronger on the switch opponent mons. I gave it Rapid Spin so I can keep my rocks, Scald because it's Scald, and lastly Psychic and Ice Beam to deal with Fighting and Dragon more easily.

As I said, that team has some issues with Mega Gardevoir who I usually sack something dealing damage to it and revenge killing with Keldeo, which is the only way I found to deal with. This team can deal easily with Monosteel but you need to play carefully and avoid a Mega Scizor Sweeping. If Aegislash doesn't get ban, Azumarill can easily wall its mixed spread and threaten with Scald burns and recover with Rest. Overall this team works quite nicely, and I hope you'll learn Monotype in the future so we have more fun on the server. Don't hesitate to talk to me if you want some tutoring sessions, i'm always up for this. Peace ~

Gratzu on peaking a dead ladder! :3

BTW Nice Team! Plus if you are really threatened by Venu. Then try psychic over energy ball on manaphy and let starmie have recover and/or reflect type to better handle bishes and ferro.

Also since you did say that you spam Scald and SSword on Keldeo. Why not use Hidden Power Elec over Hpump?

These are like the only nitpickings I have. The team is good as it is.

Energy ball allows me dealing with Gastrodon,Seismitoed who otherwhise wall my team. I thought of using Psychic over it, and even tried Hp fire for a long moment so I deal with Monosteel/grass but grass is uncommon and Steel is easily dealt with.

Offensive reflect type starmie is meh, and anw Keldeo deals with Bish meanwhile Azu walls to oblivion Ferro.

Hydro pump is good for some KO'es so I can't remove it sadly.

    Thanks for the rate though

Well tbh that keldeo really doesn't needs scald+hydro pump. Imo replace scald with HP grass so it can deal with gastro or other ground water mons. Also why timid if that thing is scarfed..? should be modest '-' BTW that team looks solid *-*

The reason why Timid is superior is because of scarf 100/102 that are way too present in the tier ( Victini, Garchomp, Salamence ) which is why I opt to Timid.
I guess scald can be replaced but you can't burn on the switch stuff like Azumarill or Venusaur so idk, it's how you feel :o

Currently this team is 29/30 on PO Ladder and something around 40/15 on PS so I'll make sure to update you if I find new possibilities ( ie Tentacruel to check Venu and stuff like that )

    I appreciate the feedback
