Volturn lc hello friends, this is Kite here and I noticed that there is a small LC community on PO with some capable players, and others looking to learn the tier; And so, I thought: why not share a team that has been working really well for me and have fun while I’m at it? Pawniard@ eviolite *jolly* Nature Sucker Punch Iron Head Swords Dance Knock Off The main Stealth rock setter of the team, I made it as fast a possible to speed tie with other pawniards and/or to get them flinches with iron head. Pawniard also has access to one of the most overpowered moves in the LC metagame: Knock Off. If you are new to the tier and are not sure what to click, Knock off in Lc comes at literally no cost, as removing the eviolites off of the other team really puts the rest of your team in a better position to finish the job. Foongus @ eviolite *bold* Nature Hidden power(fire) Spore Sludge Bomb Giga Drain This little mushroom should not be underestimated, Foongus is one of my favourite pivots and is really easy to use. Step 1:prepare to spore Step 2: check for other grass types/pokemon with abilities that block spore—don’t see any? skip to next step(three)!!— such as magby, vullaby, elekid and try to nail with coverage move Step 3: Start operation Spore! \o/ Step 4:now that you have incapacitated one of opponents pokemon, you can either switch and try to better your position, or if fungus is not immediately threatened start using coverage moves Fletchling@No Item *naughty* nature U-Turn Acrobatics Overheat Tailwind Flechling is one of the revenge killers of the team and really helps me against faster, annoying threats like scarf gothita and magic guard abra once focus sash is broken (gl with that) Also It forms a solid U-turn core with magnemite as well as a trap core with diglett and magnemite. (Magnemite) @Choice Scarf *modest* Nature (*+stat -stat) Flash Cannon Thunderbolt Volt Switch Hidden Power(fire) Choice scarf magnemite here is part of the trap core and is also another revenge killer on the team because you just can’t have enough imo. Timburr@Eviolite *careful* Nature Knock Off Mach Punch Drain Punch Bulk Up Timbur is another one of the teams win conditions as well as the status absorber thanks to guts; once you have removed those annoying ghosts and psychic types you can proceed to set up with this little Hercules and say ‘’gg’’ -Timbur is also a beast with tailwind support. Diglett @ Life Orb *jolly* Nature Earthquake Sucker Punch Rock Slide Stealth Rock [*] Last but not least we have diglett, my favourite trapper. Usually with diglett I try to bring him in safely via U-turn/volt switch but sometimes, If you are feeling brave like I do, you can double him in on a predicted switch against your foongus,or fletchling to trap their checks and clear the way for them. I would also like to point out that the ev spreads moves, and abilities are mostly standard so nothing much to say about them other than just finding the sets on PO with /pokesets command. If anyone has spotted some glaring weakness this team has or you just think its a cool team, feel free to let me know in comments section. Haters are also welcome to comment just be sure to leave a home address and phone number n_n Anyways, so there you have it: a volturn team that can really surprise opponents when played right (please play it right) and secure wins ez pz :D Importable http://pastebin.com/Gv1auxEa
Fletchling is missing evs. Use this for 2 extra points. EVs: 76 HP / 200 Atk / 12 Def / 40 SpA / 180 Spe The rest of your team is just standard voluturn. I'd reccomend HP ground on Magnemite as it helps against Chinchou more and you already have Ferroseed covered well.
okay, just fixed EVs on fletchling and will probably put hp ground on magnemite over hp fire. Thanks for the input :)
well, nice team but i recomnd u sword dance instead of overheat as talking about your moves r nice but over heat cud not work most it cant take down a scarfed magnemite so no use and u had stealth rocks on diglett and painward make diglett remove stealth rocks and keep substitue it will not led ur digelett die as it has week def and can be dead by sucker punch of painward or remove stealth rocks frm painward and keep low sweep they will work for sure nice team :)
Swords dance on fletchling is very common, one can even call it standard, but it would take away from the vulturn core this team is supposed to be so I might keep it the same..hmm, I really like having a back up rock setter in case one of my setters gets sniped(i can play risky sometimes), but substitute on diglett is not a bad idea and I think i might try it out. Thanks for the rate my friend n_n
