Alright I'm posting this team for 2 reasons. First is the obvious lack of UU teams so I figured I'd help. Second (and probably main) reason is because this section of the forums has become a fucking farce lately, mostly because a lot of teams are complete asshole and the ppl making the rmt's can't seem to do it properly. I figured I'd show ppl how to make a rmt (minus the "my rmt must look pretty" part because I cba doing it). With that said, lets get to the team.

Here you can add some music video to try and look cool because its your team's theme, but tbh no1 gives a shit and I can guarantee very few people will bother clicking the video.

[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

So I (tried) to build this team around Mega Houndoom because I feel it's a vastly underappreciated mega in this metagame (or atleast on PO). The rest is basic.building ; I added a Dragon/Steel/Fairy core to give the team a solid backbone. I then added a Suicune because it pairs well defensively with Florges, and Rotom was the last addition just because opposing Suicunes are a thing. On to the squad members.

(this is the part where u give relevant details on the team's members, such as why they were chosen and why they have the moves they do. Also, if a spread is somewhat unusual (think something not 252/252), fucking explain it. Don't expect people to automatically know what the hell you're trying to do with your spreads, even more so if they are half-assed).

    Florges (F) @Leftovers
    Trait: Flower Veil
    EVs: 248 HP / 236 Def / 24 SDef
    IVs: 0 Atk
    Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
    - Aromatherapy
    - Wish
    - Moonblast
    - Protect

This is a standard cleric florges. Wish+protect provides recovery for florges AND it can support some of the flower's teammates. Aromatherapy allows it to clear the team of status, and Moonblast is it strongest STAB move and wrecks dragons/fightning types, two types that Florges resists (which is a must for any UU team, seeing how these two types are so prevalent in the tier). The 24 sp def Evs allow Florges to hit 350 Special def, meaning it gains more sp def points from its Calm nature (350+35 as opposed to 344+34, for an uninvested Florges). The extra special defense allows it to check a bunch of special attackers better, such as Mega Blastoise.

    Salamence (M) @ Life Orb
    Trait: Intimidate
    EVs: 120 HP / 132 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
    IVs: 0 Atk
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Defog
    - Draco Meteor
    - Flamethrower/Fire Blast
    - Roost

Seeing as this is a balanced team made around Mega Houndoom, Defog is mandatory, otherwise the team just falls apart against hazard stack. Salamence is 1 of the tier's top defoggers, as it is bulky, has a nice set of resistances AND has a notable offensive presence. As for the moves, Defog clears hazards, Roost provides reliable recovery, Draco Meteor is a powerful stab move (even without full investment, LO Draco Meteor can dent a lot of stuf). Flamethrower/Fire Blast is used so Salamence isnt a sitting duck against steel types, especially Cobalion, a common Stealth Rock user in UU. The spread is basically a bulkier version of the usual 252 spa/252 speed set, although it is not absolutely necessary. It allows Salamence to take on the like of CB victini better, while maintaining offensive presence. The 4 special defense EVs are only here to prevent porygon-z from getting a special attack boost should it be using its Download ability. Dragon Fang can be used if you dislike Life Orb's recoil.

    Cobalion @ Leftovers/Shuca Berry
    Trait: Justified
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
    Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
    - Close Combat
    - Stealth Rock
    - Iron Head
    - Swords Dance

Last member of the Fairy/Dragon/Steel core, Cobalion is my rocks setter, snorlax check (something Mega Houndoom really struggles against) and it can also be used to wallbreak/sweep if given the chance to set up Swords Dance. Iron Head and Close Combat are obvious choices, seeing as they gain STAB boost, something much needed considering Cobalion's attack isn't very high to begin with. The given spread makes full use of Cobalion's good speed tier and maxes out its damage output. A shuca berry can be used to allow Cobalion to take on Drill Run Mega Beedrill a little better.

    Houndoom (M) @ Houndoominite
    Trait: Flash Fire
    EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
    IVs: 0 Atk
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Fire Blast
    - Dark Pulse
    - Sunny Day
    - Solar Beam

Here's the pokemon I wanted to build around. Note that this isn't the (relatively) standard NP set; instead, it tries to use Sunny Day to take advantage of Mega Houndoom's ability, Solar Power. Mega Houndoom is extremely strong under the sun (in fact, Houndoom's fire blast under the sun is stronger than a +2 fire blast without sun). It also allows Houndoom to fire off Solarbeam without a charge up turn, allowing it to defeat most water types (Sun also weakens their water type moves, meaning Houndoom will have the upper hand vs most water types with relative ease). Dark Pulse is the last move and gains stab boost. Solar Power gives Mega Houndoom tremendous power, but it also removes 1/8 of its hp every turn, so make the sun turns count. EVs are self explanatory, making use of Mega Houndoom's good speed stat and giving it as much power as possible.

    Suicune @ Leftovers
    Trait: Pressure
    EVs: 240 HP / 252 Def / 16 Spd
    IVs: 0 Atk
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Calm Mind
    - Ice Beam/Roar
    - Scald
    - Rest

Suicune is my main fire type check, something every team ever should have. I know I have Salamence on the team, but seeing as this is a balanced team and not HO, Suicune is very useful in removing some pressure from Salamence, whose defog/ability to check fightning types is essential and really cannot afford to take a Sacred Fire burn/Stone Edge crit. This set also works as a fat win condition. Ice beam is a fun option as it allows Suicune to hit water immune mons and allows it to defeat a rampaging Salamence should Florges die early. Roar allows suicune to phaze dangerous physical attackers such as SD Feraligatr, allows it to beat other fat setup mons (such as Snorlax, Florges, Cresselia and even opposing Suicune). EVs max out def, 16 speed is just a little speed creep should you face another roar suicune (u can creep more if you so wish).

    Rotom-C @ Choice Specs
    Trait: Levitate
    EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
    IVs: 0 Atk
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Leaf Storm
    - Trick
    - Volt Switch
    - Thunderbolt

Standard spex rotom-c, threatens the gigantic amount of water types in the tier. STAB Leaf Storm means most ground types must think twice before switching in to block your volt switch. Thunderbolt is useful to combat standard Crocune (you will lose if you just volt switch out). Trick is here because frankly, Rotom-C's stab moves offer pretty good coverage on their own and it can be useful to mess a wall up. Max speed so rotom is not outsped by the likes of Chandelure/Heracross/Nidoking , and 252 special attack so it hits as hard as possible.

    THREATS TO THE TEAM
This section is not really mandatory, but it's a decent addition to a RMT and it prevents whoever is rating your team from pointing out super obvious shit.

Voltturn: Mega Beedrill is really annoying, Cobalion being the only decent check to it. This is made worse by the fact that the team has no electric immunity, meaning it can be easy for your opponent to voltturn endlessly on your sorry ass. To combat this, you can replace Salamence by Gligar, which can act as the team's defogger, fightning resist, Mega Beedrill check and electric immunity. You do lose a fair bit of offensive presence though.

Stall in general: Well it's a balanced team, so this should be a given. You do have some powerful attackers in Sunny Day Houndoom and Spex rotom, so play smart when facing stall.

These are completely unnecessary and you should feel bad for doing them unless some1 really helped in the making the team or w/e. Tagging users for the sake of getting likes is laughable, stop the circlejerk.

Aight I'm pretty much done here, and now it's time for some potential raters to do their job. A few things before everyone starts shitposting.

-If you lack the knowledge to properly rate the team, then don't post. I don't care if you like the team and will use it, I want rates. I'm not posting a team just because I want attention. There is no shame in not being very knowledgeable in a given meta, so don't feel forced to post in every fucking RMT ever.
-If you suggest shit, freaking explain why on earth you're suggesting it and why you think it's better. "M8 run Heliolisk over Rotom-C" with no explanation whatsoever is not helpful at all and makes you look dumb.
-Don't try too hard to find weaknesses for a team. If you have to theorymon really hard, you're going too far. For example, "Your team is weak to Hydreigon if Florges dies" is an incredibly dumb statement and if you have nothing else to say, you would do well to not post at all.

Hope you liked my rmt tutorial ayy lmao

Nice team however I feel like CB Staraptor gets a kill everytime it's in. Maybe consider Rhyperior somewhere in the team?
I've played against it and lost cause you outplayed me so can't say yet if the teams has other flaws.
I like Hound set though I used to play Fire Blast Solar Beam and Dbond for pokemon it can't take out ( such as Snorlax but you have Cobalion so I guess Dpulse works over Dbond)

good that you posted this here, the above post is a "sub-par" rate

not sure where rhyp will fit in, im gonna assume ur gonna put it over coba cuz both are sr setters and its hard to replace it over anyone else without heavily changing the structure of the team and subbing out 2 mons at bare minimum. changing coba to rhyp on paper would alleviate the weakness to staraptor to an extent, but now the team gets straight up 6-0d by curse lax (trick rotom-c is a form of counterplay but its only got 1 use and the trick is obvious as fuck), iron tail/pjab dragons (think mixed hydrei/mence/dd haxorus etc), makes the team even weaker vs nidos and makes whim an even larger pain in the ass to deal with. staraptor is a mon that threatens all builds anyway, i dont feel that the team is so weak to it considering its fairly tanky and cant come in on anything bar florges, altho its taking incredibly heavy recoil in the process, esp when u consider its also sr weak as well and the team provides enough offensive pressure in the form of mence+rotom-c to deal with most opposing hazard removers.

dbonds kinda niche ngl, its best to surprise like u said lax, but more importantly bulky waters such as cune/swamp etc. most waters in the current meta which doom is prey to are also set up users (dd/sd gatr, cm cune, rd swamp etc) use doom as set up bait which is definitely not ideal. lax isnt exactly something the team needs to get rid of asap to pave a way for other breakers to beat balance builds.

think rocky helmet might be a potential item choice to chip maero/staraptor/beedrill which kinda pressure ur team, u do have wish support from florges to help coba out.

if there's a mon that severely threatens this team, its gonna be encore alakazam. its p much able to shut down florges and cune if it comes in on anything bar moonblast/scald respectively and koes the rest with the respective move. think its difficult to fix this weakness but just a word of caution not to wish/cm so willingly when theres a zam on the team. cm raik is threatening to but meh it threatens every team without hippo anyway

nice team, also shoutouts are circlejerks but isnt that what the community has degraded to anyway

Thanks for the RMT, especially the closing remarks as they were long overdue. I'm not too good at rating teams, but there are a few things that I have noticed and I'll be mentioning them in this post.

The first thing that one notices while looking at the team is that it has only one physical attacker. Cobalion does indeed do really well in breaking special walls like Blissey, Umbreon and Snorlax, but relying on it alone (also to set up Rocks) can make it extremely hard against teams that can easily pivot back to a physical wall. Hence, the obvious weakness to stall as you have mentioned. If you're looking to get rid of balance, you could try running a hard hitting Pokémon like Choice Band Entei, which adds much needed priority to the team, or Choiced Victini, both Scarf or Band will do, both used over Florges. Entei is always useful for getting burns on switch ins, which can be annoying for the opponent to deal with, particularly if they don't have a Fire type to absorb all these burns with. It can also prevent Sub CM Raikou from sweeping you, which 6-0s you with the team that you have right now. Scarf or particularly Band Victini is not easy to switch into, and can require your opponent to sack a Pokémon to get a favourable matchup. The former can fill in the hole for not having priority, while the latter can break through a weakened check if scarf bluffing is successful and hits everything really hard in general even if revealed. There is absolutely nothing wrong in using a physical Fire type and a special Fire type in the same team, as the type is so good offensively. In fact, a lot of stuff that stops Mega Houndoom can be dealt with by the Fire types mentioned above.

Alternatively, if you're looking to stick to balance, running Sleep Talk over Calm Mind on Suicune could help the team deal with Pokémon like Slurpuff a little better, which can easily set up on a sleeping Cune or Special Mence and proceed to sweep the team with missing Play Rough being the only source of hope for you. Or, you could swap out Rotom-C for this Scarf Raikou set:

    Raikou @ Choice Scarf
    Trait: Pressure
    EVs: 20 HP / 252 SAtk / 236 Spd
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Volt Switch
    - Hidden Power Grass
    - Extrasensory
    - Thunderbolt

236 Speed EVs allow it to outrun Jolly 252 Speed Slurpuff, giving you a chance to revenge kill it after after dealing damage to it on the turn of set up. 20 EVs invested in bulk never hurt, since Raikou outruns what its supposed to already and the EVs are better utilised this way. The Raikou + Cobalion combo also allows you to deal with Staraptor better when paired with Wish support which is a threat as Carl pointed out earlier (though I don't think that Rhyperior is the best option in this meta), granted that you make the correct prediction. I'd argue that Scarf Raptor is better and that it would mean more trouble without the changes, but this isn't the place for that. Anyway, HP Grass gives you the Grass coverage that you need for Volt blockers like Swampert that like to switch in, while Extrasensory allows you to hit Nidoking on switch in, since you explicitly mentioned it while elaborating on Rotom-C's role. Volt Switch and Thunderbolt are self explanatory and essential. In addition to all of this, a Scarfer allows you to have a reliable lead, which makes up for not having a priority user in this team.

You could also try running a defensive Swampert over Suicune. Stealth Rock Swampert will relieve some pressure from Cobalion, whose role will now only be to kill special walls or potentially sweep other teams since it can now run Stone Edge. Stone Edge will prevent it from being walled by Fire types like Victini and Chandelure, preventing them from getting a free switch in once Cobalion is out. Most importantly, Swampert prevents Sub CM Raikou from 6-0ing you and can even tank a +2 Aura Sphere from Special Lucario (which can be hard for you to switch into with the current team) while OHKOing it back with Earthquake. Swampert can also run Roar or Ice Beam, depending on whether you're more comfortable facing Feraligatr or Salamence.

It's a pretty fun team overall, I'm biased because it has Mega Houndoom, props to you for using, editing some stuff here and there could make it even better. I would personally change Rotom-C to Raikou and Suicune to Swampert, but it all comes down to personal preferences and what you're more comfortable and better at using. I hope this helped.

also, who voted for N on the poll, are you nuts

    Yey some ppl answered

@Elize Lutus : Yes, CB raptor threatens my team but tbh its not like it comes in "for free" on much and with rocks up+smart playing, I can make sure it doesn't get more than 1 kill (and at that point I just sac whichever mon is the least valuable). Rhyperior makes me very weak to Mega Sharpedo (it can break through suicune) and it also removes my sole way of defeating Blissey/Umbreon/Snorlax, meaning I literally cannot stall break. Sticking with Cobalion.

@Sakuya Izayoi : Err, I don't think Helmet Cobalion helps at all, atleast not against the mons you mentionned; I have suicune for aero, Mega Bee can Drill Run and theres no reason for Staraptor to u-turn anyway. Shuca is much better than helmet. Also, most of the stuff that florges can wish pass on (mostly special attackers) threaten cobalion a fair bit, so its not always easy to pass it a wish.

Encore zam is indeed threatening if it catches cune/flower, but it doesnt have that many switch in opportunities, so I can manage most times.

Raikou 6-0s, which leads us to the next rate...

@Pokemonistan : The Swampert suggestion is sound and makes the team better in a lot of way, giving me an electric immunity and freeing up Cobalion so it can use Stone Edge, allowing it to get past stuff that otherwise gives it trouble (such as Salamence). However, it does take away a valuable wincon, but I still think pert's pros outweight its cons on the team. Good call.

Scarf kou is an option to give the team a little more speed control, possibly bailing my ass against a slurpuff or some other speedy sweeper. However, scarf kou doesn't exactly beat Crocune 1 vs 1, making the match up against it really problematic. Seeing as Suicune is such a popular mon in the meta, I think I'd rather stick with spex rotom.

Sincere thanks to the users that took some of their time to try and properly rate the team, it's appreciated.
