The goal of this thread is to have a place where you can go to ask experienced teambuilders for help creating a team around a core you may have had trouble building with, saw on the forums, or are generally curious about. Anyone is allowed to post here no matter how experienced or inexperienced a battler you might be, and even if you don't have a core idea of your own. Please read the following rules before posting: Rules: - Post a decent core please. Make sure that even if it consists of a Pokemon that isn't in the Tier, it's at least viable in tier play. Also please include sets and descriptions of the core so that we know what you'd actually like to be built and it makes it easier for us to do so as well. - Note that we have the right to decline any core request if we deem that it isn't viable or worthy enough to build around, please keep that in mind. - We won't accept editing of teams, etc and will only build teams from scratch. - We reserve the right to change the core within reason. If you chose a sub-optimal set for one of the Pokemon in your post, we have the right to change that set. However, changing the core completely is not allowed. - Only one request per person. You may post a new request if your old post is over two weeks old without anyone claiming it, or if your team has been built. - Please don't nag us to build fast, etc. We will try to make teams that are the best and it does take time so please keep patience :) Spoiler: Example Post build me around this core for OU tier Zapdos @ Life Orb Ability: Pressure EVs: 152 HP / 4 Def / 240 SpA / 112 Spe Modest Nature - Agility - Roost - Thunderbolt - Hidden Power [Ice] / Heat Wave Manaphy @ Leftovers Ability: Hydration EVs: 96 HP / 252 SpA / 160 Spe Timid Nature - Tail Glow - Hidden Power [Fire] / Psychic - Scald - Ice Beam Excadrill @ Leftovers Ability: Mold Breaker EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD Careful Nature - Earthquake - Iron Head - Rapid Spin - Toxic / Stealth Rock SHOOT ME A PM IF YOU WANT TO BE ONE OF THE TEAMBUILDER!!! Hey, so i made your team here, i don't think AoA Mega Scizor is good so i changed the mega scizor set a bit, the team is kinda weak to dark spam/Zard-X and Ferrothorn kinda messes up with this team, but yeah here's the team. Hello i'm Jayxus and i thought of a cool core, but i'm really struggling with the team building atm. The core consists of Band Ttar and Mega Medicham. It is an offensive core and it's not bad at all.. the teams i've made with it were good.. but i always felt they weren't complete. Mega Medicham can just HJK and kill most stuff.. however.. ghosts and most flying pokes gives it trouble. This is where Band Ttar comes in. Pursuiting the ghosts and countering some Birdspam with its typing and offensive move pool. Here is the core :P Medicham (M) @ Medichamite Trait: Pure Power EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd Adamant Nature - High Jump Kick - Bullet Punch - Fake Out - Ice Punch Tyranitar (M) @ Choice Band Trait: Sand Stream EVs: 200 HP / 120 Atk / 188 Def Adamant Nature - Crunch - Stone Edge - Ice Beam - Pursuit

Since your team was Nidoking weak, I added Snorlax, which is one of the best counter to Nidoking ( taking like 33% with sludge wave) and with curse body slam you can para and sweep unprepared teams. The team being a little weak to Suicune, i wanted to preserve some offense so I added a Guts Banded Heracross, Close combat without burn does 55%~ and with burn it does like 80, Heracross having a huge spe def it can live hits at -1 spe def from +1 spe atk Suicune. The evs I added were enough to speed creep base 90's without invest. Victini is here for late game, as v-create and bolt strike can clean a lot of stuff. You can possibly replace Trick for Zen headbutt, but in my tests it was all good. Escavalier may look weird but its a good roserade check and it also allows me to handle calm mind slowking better (which is why i added the speed creep:D) overall the team is fairly straight forward to use, have fun with it~(make sure you pressure your opponents hazzard setters bc absol is the only way of bouncing back hazzards so make sure to play smart around that)

So i decided to use one really good check/counter since the arceus form was not available, which is Lugia. It can toxic it and deal with it. Lugia can also contribute against Mega Salamence or Rayquaza but you already have the rockceus for them. That rockceus set you picked can also deal with ho oh, while spreading toxic in switch in pokemon. Then i proceed to cover another weakness of the core, which was Kyo, so i used a bulky Groudon, which will also help with xerneas and it can also pressure with stealth rocks. You can use preciple blades over rest for more attacking power.I did not want to make it full stall, and since you had a solid defogger, i went for a sleep talk banded Ho OH, which will give more offense into this team and which can absorb the status from Darkrais who tend to annoy stall teams. Last spot, a cleric which cant be bothered by Mega Gengar, and can back up Groudon as a Kyo switch in, and can as well wish pass. I hope you found this team useful. To make a blaziken sweep you need to take out some mons first, like Primal Groudon, Lugia , stab ekiller with espeed and some other checks. So here is the strategy: Forretress good lead for spikes, good anti deo lead but crushial role cause you have to keep your side clean of hazards because of Blaziken's weakness to it. I used Latios as a Primal Groudon check/counter. (You can use defog for 100% guarantee of a hazard free field. I used the Primal Groudon as a solid xern counter, with more offensive presense. Ditto is there to keep your opponent away from setting up and bothering your sweep, while i used Yveltal to cover any problem which can arise from Mega Salamence and failing of ditto to win it, as well as a really good physical wall.If you take down those threats, Blaziken should be able to play its role and win you the game.It is not a mega i ever used, but i guess it is fun.Tell me how it works! Having both of them means you need to have a defogger to back you up, so i came up with Gira-O. This one, apart from being a solid defogger, can help you against ekiller, because it is known that HO teams are weak to it. I packed in a Primal Groudon w/ Thunder wave, as your xerneas counter and your rock setter, and a Primal Kyogre because of its great synergy along with Ho Oh. Since your team was weak to Yveltal and Latios/Latias, i added a Xerneas as the final option for this team. I hope this one works for you, it was really hard to build it without having any major weaknesses. (If you dont like Kyogre or believe it does not fit in this team, you can try using ekiller for more offensive pressure.) Have fun! I changed mmy set a bit, using focus blast, so you can hit harder, while aura shpere is kinda weak. Building around it basicly needs coverage for dark + ghost types. So i added a bulky geo xern, as you switch in for darks and a potential sweeper & a defensive yveltal to cover the weakness to ghost, which covers arceus too, while having u-turn so you can pivot and bring in your mmy. I then added a Primal Groudon as your main Xern check, and your hazard setter. Then team needs its own primal groudon check, which is Latios with the standard defog recover set. There are many team and i tried to make a different one, without cloyster or tentacruel. Gengar's role is pretty simple, get in and revenge or hit hard with hex.Just be careful and dont let it die soon,it is invested with some evs to take moonblast from a +2 xern, just in case! Leading and tspike setter is Scolipede, packed with endeavor so it can avoid set up fodders. You have a scarf xern to deal with darkrais, and apply pressure to defoggers, while catch with surprise opponents expecting geo. Primal Groudon is your Xern check + rock setter, while twave helps with the status spam. Added an offensive 4attacks Latios as your Primal Groudon check, and a another mon to pressure your opponent. Hex teams tend to be weak to Ho Oh, or Mega Sala, so i added a Rockceus with enough power to 1hko, while at the same time wisping which helps with burning physical threats and the status spam too. Stoutland (F) @ Choice Band Trait: Sand Rush EVs: 20 HP / 252 Atk / 236 Spe Adament nature - Return - Superpower - Crunch - Play Rough Main poke i wanted to build a team around and just straight up hits hard w/Adament choice band and is a very good wall-breaker in the sand if used right. It is also a great mid-late game cleaner/sweeper and has decent coverage such as superpower for rock and steels and crunch for ghost types. Play rough is on this move set to hit spiritomb since it takes neutral damage from crunch Spiritomb @ Lum Berry Trait: Infiltrator EVs: 156 HP / 228 SpA / 124 Spe Modest nature - Calm Mind - Taunt - Dark Pulse - Shadow Ball Deals with and shuts down annoying defensive ghost type pokes such as cofagrigas and spirtitomb w/taunt and calm mind combo and can switch in on a mach punch from a gurdurr, hitmontop and any other mach punch users that stoutland is weak to and can also take a knock off on a predicted switch. Also completely shuts down magic guard siglyphy w/flame orb and psycho shift, which can cripple stoutland by taking a wisp(which is why i put a lum berry on this set) and going for taunt so it can't set up any C.P.'s (cosmic powers) in the following turn. Now ik this Sand core does not have a partner that can get up sand and as the weather master I'll tell you its better not to do this, bc in my opinion, my experience w/building weather teams and just playing with them a lot, if you put your weather setter with these two pokes, your not going to be able to cover any of your weaknesses for the core and that's not good. What i normally do in the lower tiers for any weather team i build is i pick a poke pretty much that would be a substitute for politoed, ninetails, and hippowdon/tyraitar since i can only use drizzle, drought, and sand stream in OU, and tyranitar/hippowdon are in OU (abamosnow and auroras don't count bc their the only pokes in lower tiers that can get up a weather condition without you having to waste a move slot for the move hail if you get what im saying). Ik what your probably thinking, why don't i just use politoed, ninetails for my sun and rain teams instead of just looking for a pokemon to substitute them since their not banned to OU like hippowdon/tyranitar and i can use them in any tier? I've realized that there are better options since politoed and ninetails are on the same playing field as other possible weather setters since they can't use their drought and drizzle abilities respectively in lower tiers and they have to get the rain/sun up with the move rain dance/sunny day just liker every possible weather setter. Also i pick a weather setter that is defensive (weather team unless in running a H.O.) and that can gain health back, unless that poke has no recovery moves. Anyways that's it from me and I hope you can make a solid weather team from this core.

Samurott is a weakness, but this team is meant to be played pretty offensively, so it shouldn't be let into play that often.
