Keeping a record of how many of each type of ball you've used could be fun to see, although there wouldn't be much purpose for this record.
I have a suggestion concerning Bright Egg. I'm sure there has been many proposals that were vetoed out because Bright Egg is a pyramid-only reward. While I can understand the reasoning behind this decision, I wish to point out that pyramid is a multiplayer game. The difficulty and costs aside, less established players simply had no chance to even attempt to earn this extremely elusive item. This I don't think is good, especially as Safari is already showing signs of reaching its asymptotic point after only half a year. So I would like to suggest a way for Bright Egg to be obtainable solo. How, I simply have no idea for the moment, but of course this way should be as difficult as reaching some 9k points in pyramid. One very simple way is to implement a solo-mode on the already existing pyramid, giving the player 3 actions/turn (which is still harder than normal pyramid since now we only have 3 mons to work with, but okay, maybe let him bring 6 mons?), but further refinements and/or other suggestions are very much welcome. Looking forward to feedback from devs and playerbase.
Another idea that's nowhere near mibby's is an easier way for new people to start off. At the moment, there's not really a way for new people to start besides praying to RNGesus that they can even toss since the majority of players right now have at least one legendary, and if they don't they have a high-BST Pokemon. What I propose is a quest for people who have caught less than... let's say 20 Pokemon. What this quest would entail I don't know, but I think there needs to be a better point of entry for newer people.
To expand more on the proposal, here's what I suggest on the Pyramid solo mode: - Stamina: 550 (trying to balance the fact that there are less total stamina to work with but now all damages go to the "leader") - A team of 6 mons - Riddle: 3 actions/turn, first 3 actions free - Explore: 1 mon - Horde/trainer/strong/statue: send 3 mons - Damages from battles: calculated same as standard pyramid - based on the mon typing, with the mon randomly picked - The rest I think can be left the same Did I miss anything here?
I thoroughly dislike the idea of there being a solo mode for Pyramid. If there is one, it should literally just be playing from the beginning as if your partners have already run out of stamina with no other concessions. That, or a completely different quest altogether. I don't see how a solo mode will specifically benefit 'less established players' in any meaningful way. The various barriers to entry - entry cost, lack of viable Pokemon, ignorance - will still be there in a solo mode. It's not like an inexperienced person offering to host will get no offers from people wanting to join. As for starting off, the conditions are certainly different from when Safari restarted, but I'm not sure if it is necessarily harder. After all, once you're able to trade, you can more easily get something like an Aurorus, Charizard or Camerupt from someone and play on a more or less even playing field.
(03:54:22) RiceKirby: Also post in suggestion thread because otherwise I will forget (03:53:39) mibuchiha: yeah sure, /selfwatch works just as well (03:51:46) mibuchiha: to get just the final result without sprites
(22:17:17)SkyPhoenix: Suggestion new event from rocks: Add a slight chance of the rock destroying the target's itemfinder and then the player would have to take some time to repair it before using it again (Itemfinder repair cooldown) Spoiler In case you can't tell, I'm not 100% serious about this, (22:17:37)RiceKirby: how2suggestionthread
6 Hours cooldown too much for Golden Bait considering we get just 5! Also does the golden bait reduces its effect when used with chef costume? I used chef and golden baited and 3/5 Pokémons were weird baitings.(Goodra baiting Braixen,Vanilluxe baiting Duosion, etc) Aren't the effects of chef supposed to work if golden baiting?
we need more RNG in Alchemy recipes that yield > 2 of an item may roll a small chance to give a bit more... or the synthesis may botch and give a bit less!!1 scale the variance to the default output of course, e.g things like gbaits are probably ok with like +1/-1 while mono balls may give/lose a bit more
According to me the golden baits are bit expensive as they require lot of baits, balls and specially a nugget. Here is my small basic calculation for golden baits. 80 baits = 80*129 = 10320$ 1 nugget = 2200$ 5+5+10 various balls = 2000$ (assuming 100$ per ball) So, 10320+2200+2000 = 14520 per 5 golden baits or say 2904 per a golden bait, which is very high for any kind bait, also I haven't found any rare Pokemon spawned through a golden bait yet and it may fail while baiting, which is pretty bad compare to such a high price of bait. There are many people, who buy baits from shop and 80 baits will be more costly to those people. Yesterday fitzy and mibuchiha were talking that chance of baiting rare Pokemon is increased and now you can bait 600s through gbait which is great, but the rate is barley increased and the rate of baiting 600s is like from 1/10000 golden bait, so approximately you need like 5000 nuggets and other stuffs to bait 600s. (according to them because I can't read codes. xp) Which makes it almost impossible to bait. So I would suggest to either increase number of gbaits made by alchemist or reduce the number of baits used to make these gbaits and it would be great if you can spawn non baitable forms like Furfrou's and Rotom's forms, also the chance of spawning rare mons should be bit more than current rate through gbaits. This is my feedback for golden baits. I hope you guys like it.
I agree with root regarding the lowering of baits.I dont think the rate of 600's need to be increases. It's fine i guess. But the real concern is the huge amount of things needed to make just 5 golden baits, which even doesnt gurantee a rare....forget rare....not even a fully-evolved mon.80 baits is like too much. And adding to the cooldown it gives...it makes thing worse.Personally i have used 15 golden baits till now.Out of them 1 was just a fully-evolved mon.Rest were low mons or even the bait failed sometime. Atleast improve the baiting chance so that it gurantess atleast High BST mons. P.S.-Dont consider it rude ....
A Daycare quest would be nice - put two pokes in, leave them for a while. The longer you leave them in, the higher chance of getting a baby pokemon when you take it out, and the more it costs. Obviously legends can't do this, and maybe the rates would be different for each poke? Egg groups may be taken into account? There would also be a low chance to get shiny, similar to wonder trade.
Maybe have a Discount Coupon item or something for new players that expires after a certain amount of days so that they get discounts off items in the /buy store. Prices of items have increased since Safari began, so maybe this will make it easier for new players to progress.
Sounds reasonable. EDIT: Also, if the Inver costume is never getting released, maybe have a rare Poke Ball that applies the inverted effect?
Inver has been released though since I added it lmao. Not my fault people don't know how to get. (PS: The way to get isn't "visible" in the code)
Maybe I'll try to find if someone has it. Another idea: maybe have Faction Wars with certain types banned (i.e. Steel/Dragon) similar to pure Normal-types being banned in Inverted wars (I think?). It would be fun to see what other Pokemon people would use.
Expanding upon the tradeblock command, it would be helpful to also prevent tradeblocked Pokemon from being sold to the NPC to avoid accidental selling. (assuming that people wouldn't want to sell a Pokemon they don't want to trade). EDIT: Make Master Balls throw last after all other balls :D

Mewtwo for Alchemist quest? With Rayquaza in /buy with all the glory, I thought that it would be pretty cool to have a way to obtain Mewtwo as well. What better way to get it then the alchemist quest from it being created. Of course this would have to have insane requirements. For example: Spoiler: Possible Requirements 500 Prima materia 200 Golden Bait 100 Clone balls 50 Mega Stones 1 Master ball 1 Mew This isn't a serious suggestion as it's most likely never going to happen, but it would make a great addition to Alchemist quest. Let me know what you think. Again; This isn't a serious request! I'm just suggesting what could be cool.
I call out for a new type of contest that gives the winner the right to know how to obtain it but the restriction to not tell anyone
That will certainly not work. Since there will be no guarantee that the winner will keep shut, unless the restriction includes some painful punishment or a big tempting reward, which is not a really good idea.
I just thought on a "Just for fun" idea. What if we could be able to nickname our active Pokémon? To be honest the main idea was to be able to nickname a set number of pokemon, but if possible, the active one should be enough. Not quite sure how would it be coded though. (00:09:55) ±Tauros: Zoroark caught the Nincada with a Safari Ball and the help of their Salter! (Charizard)
Laziness based suggestion: Allow people to save a party for tower/each arena player. So instead of typing /party load:4 and then /tower start every time I want to tower I can just use /tower start and it'll load that party if it can (or show an appropriate message if it can't) and then start a tower run. This could be an additional functionality that players can toggle on or keep the old system.
Perhaps something about beldum/metang fusing into metagross like magneton for alchemist quest ? there is something like that mentioned in game anyway, metang being 2 beldum fused and metagross being 2 metang.
Well since I really like the pokemon fusing, I thought lets give some more suggestions after the Beldum Metang thing. Note the word suggestion, I know some make more sense then others but I'd like to give all of them a fair shot. Shellder+ Slowpoke = Slowbro Grimer+Grimer(Maybe even more)=Muk Koffing + koffing= Weezing Vanillish + Vanisllish = Vanilluxe 5x Litwick + Lampent = Chandelure Honedge+Honedge = Doublade Binacle+Binacle+Binacle= Barbaracle
(11:14:02) Dylan The Man: Anyone Trading Karrablast (11:14:08) Dylan The Man: Because I Have Shelmet (11:14:26) mibuchiha: uh do you think they will evolve or something (11:14:36) mibuchiha: actually that'd be a cute thing (11:14:37) Dylan The Man: I Think They Should (11:14:40) mibuchiha: they dont (11:14:46) mibuchiha: but let's suggest! Yeah. Everything is there. Also, I saw this more golden bait recipe. If this is real, as in the gbaits work, then great, this is really cool. However I would like to point out that the recipe requirements doesn't really scale with the previous one... now the previous recipe becomes way too expensive. I would suggest its retuning; reducing the number of baits and balls required to be the same as the more gbait recipe would be perfect. Then the difference would only be the nugget/amulet and the skyrocketing amulet price to follow will take care of this by itself.
Perhaps a minor reward for 2nd and 3rd place finishers of contests? For example 5 gachapon for 2nd and 2 gachapon for 3rd? On the condition that a set number of players are competing of course. Say....7 or more?
Well i just saw that there are those magneton and dugtrio recipe in alchemist.Personally i dont see any "big" use of it,but if it is fixed that it wont be removed then maybe you can add some more Pokemons like metang, vanillish etc (i dont remember much, check xburnout's post for more pokemons) to alchemist.Or maybe create a separate branch of alchemist that would hold those types of Pokemons. About 'more golden bait' recipe yea it looks awesome but it made a big difference to the simple golden bait recipe.I dont see any problem with amulet coins or nuggets (except for the fact that there are some people hoarding a large amount of them).but the 'bait' difference is too much.80 compared to 30 iirc..Also is that 5 hour CD vs 2.5 hour CD real???If you can balance it then it would look great otherwise 'more golden bait'>'golden bait'.
It's been a while since we had a new costume. Something I came up with was the BackPacker costume. This costumes function would come from the use of luxury balls. It would have a chance to find pawnables like pearls and nuggets instead of just cash when you capture a Pokemon with luxury balls.
Ran some calcs, stuff here doesn't make much sense unless it was intentionally coded like that: (02:42:07) ±Tauros: Big Pearl Recipe: 50 Pearls --> 15 Big Pearls And: (02:43:27) ±Tauros: You can sell the following items: (02:43:27) ±Tauros: Pearl: $275 (02:43:27) ±Tauros: Stardust: $412 (02:43:27) ±Tauros: Big Pearl: $825 But 275*50 = 13750 And 825*15 = 12375 So clearly this wouldn't be any benefical, people would just stack their pearls and pawn them whenever necessary, instead of crafting something that would give them less profit. I'd suggest to either increase the value of pearls, or decrease the amount of pearls required in order to gain some decent profit. EDIT: So apparently this was made to craft big pearls for cherry delight, but still it wouldn't be bad if it gives at least $500 as profit if the required pearl amount is changed, idk.
With the chance of failing the alchemy I agree that the chance for profit should be there. Without the chance of failing it wouldn't but since it is there. Now its only a risk no reward quest (Do people even use this receipt?)
Is it possible that the same way you can change the price of stuff in your shop without removing and re-adding, could this be applied when re-sending trades if stuff goes wrong? (22:38:10) ±Tauros: You are offering $100 to Yttrium for their 1 Spy Ball! (22:38:14) ±Tauros: You already have a pending trade with this person! To cancel it, type /trade cancel. This is a simple example, I tried to fix the trade as /trade Yttrium:$110:@spy but then that message shows up, so I have to /trade cancel or wait for the receiver to counter-trade (let's face it, we have android people and waiting for that slow phone typing is really annoying lol) so if the one who sends can simply fix the trade right away with some message that indicates the trade was changed it would be really nice.
Played 3 pyramid games feedback: Trainer rooms: Is the damage bugged? Losing 5 stamina for a 2-1 win in floor 3 seems very generous. Empty rooms: There is no way to know the Pokemon to use in that small amount of time. I'm all for something harder than just being given the name but this is really hard. Hazard rooms: Still not sure how the scoring for this works but it seems less bullshit than what the old hazard rooms could give you. Andorid players really struggled with being able to type multiple commands needed in the time frame.
Fuck the small time frame, I STILL can't figure this out from our run lmao (10:30:51) ±Tauros: Room 3-5: Other than a sign saying "Pokémon like gheCcnehimrGao are not recommended in this room, but ytrsoaanCBlwund may be useful",
