So my friends and I were playing a game called Heads Up. If you don’t know what it is, it’s a game/phone app where a guesser puts the phone on their forehead and words from a certain category flash up. Then, the other people have to describe/act out the word to help the guesser guess the word. We started doing U.S. Presidents a couple times. Once we got to over 60 and presidents started repeating; by this point we had key phrases for each president and were getting the answers fast enough that we couldn’t run out of time (time is added every time you get a correct answer). I thought that some of the things we associated with each president were interesting. Spoiler 1. George Washington – first president 2. John Adams – second president 3. Thomas Jefferson – third president, Louisiana Purchase 4. James Madison – fourth president, capital of Wisconsin 5. James Monroe – not Marilyn 6. John Quincy Adams – son of second president 7. John Tyler – Tippecanoe and ___ too, whitest name ever 11. James K. Polk – Mexican-American War, 54° 40' or fight 12. Zachary Taylor – served in Mexican-American War 13. Abraham Lincoln – Emancipation Proclamation, freed slaves 17. Andrew Johnson – the guy after Lincoln, Office of Tenure Act 18. Ulysses S. Grant – Civil War general 19. Rutherford B. Hayes – ended Reconstruction 20. James Garfield – shares name with fat orange cat that loves lasagna 21. Chester A. Arthur – shares name with show about an aardvark 22/24. Grover Cleveland – city in Ohio 23. Benjamin Harrison – grandson of William Henry Harrison 25. William McKinley – assassinated, mountain in Alaska 26. Theodore Roosevelt – teddy bears 27. What do you remember presidents for/what do you think they should be remembered for?
