So I got killed by Pursuit and sent rotom with lefties, i gained hp and it was still the same turn. Iirc, this changed after gen3 ( or 4 ) and it's a new turn when you kill with pursuit. Confirmed with Strudels, we tested on 3ds, it's a new turn and I gain no recovery.
does anything happen after the KO? Weather? Future Sight? Wish? Burn/Poison Damage? Magic/Trick/Wonder Room/Tailwind ending?
Weather inflicted to only remaining pokemon Nothing happens with Wish Status don't activate since pokemon comes after new turn Trick Room/Tailwind/Magic Room all end before the user send a new pokemon
So basically the send back action is completely cancelled and the poke is just fainted. But the new poke sent is still the one that was selected. It makes me wonder what happens with doubles if you choose to send a pokemon but get killed by pursuit, and then use u-turn with another pokemon and choose the same pokemon to switch to. What happens? Or, can you choose which pokemon to send out if you get killed by pursuit, even if it's different from what you chose before getting koed?
No, if you get killed by pursuit you can chose the pokemon you want to send in ( unlike gen 3 or 4 iirc) I'll try the other scenario, but normally you die first, and you can't send in another mon, and u-turn comes after so you should be able to send that pokemon
ok so it's pretty straightforward then. If you get killed by pursuit, you get koed. At the end of the turn you choose which pokemon to send. Now what's left to determine is if this is a gen 6 bug or if it is also in gen 5? Edit: you could have introduced a replay link in the OP :p
I don't have a capture card to post them :x I have replays on 3DS though. I think this mechanic was already viable in gen 5. I have 2 DS at home and 2 BW games, so I'll do that test
Pursuit works the same as Gen 6. Also in doubles, you can't pursuit your partner, if you use pursuit, it will inflict damage to the pokemon you switched in with 40BP
Ok lets try this: What happens if you send a pokemon back, it gets hit by pursuit, but it doesn't die? Does the new pokemon get recovery/etc.?
