Since Mafia's activity is a bit better than 1~2 months ago, I wanted to work on the Mafia Guides. Since there's already the Beginner's guide (which I will try to improve someday), the plan is to write an Intermediate one.

The idea for this Intermediate Guide is to be a collection of common tactics, hints and situations so new players can learn how to play better and not get outplayed so easily. Ideally things that can be applied to any standard theme instead of specific theme's tips (the Theme Guides can cover this aspect).

But the thing is, I don't plan on writing this by myself, so I wanted to ask everyone to post some tactics here, and then I would compile and organize them into the final guide.

For now I made a list of things we can discuss here:
    -Playing as village
    --Playing as Villager
    --Playing as a PR
    -Playing as Mafia
    -Playing as Solo
    -Playing on a faction-based setup

    Common Tactics
    -Voicing
    -Meatshielding
    -Connecting
    -Framing
    -Stalling
    -Fake Claiming

    When to vote
    -MYLO and LYLO
    -Confirmed targets
    -As Kuja
    -Randing, counter-randing and bandwagoning
    -Bussing
    -Tying
    -Selfvoting

    Other stuff
    -Learn the theme
    -Pay attention
    -Counting kills and votes
    -Alliances
    -Don't be predictable
    -Logic
    --Exclusion process
What I need is for people to discuss some of the topics listed above. For example, where I listed "Framing", you could just say how you frame people ("I don't kill when PL is around", "I kill player X after they accuse Y so people will suspect Y", etc).
Even some of the most well known tips like NV@4/6 are useful, since this theme is intended on people that just learned the game. No need to overcomplicate, just say some things you like to do and I will add organize it to make an actual guide.

I can fill in more stuff later if you want, but I'll start it off with "when to vote as Kuja".

When you're Kuja (or some similar role, such as Dark Matter in Kirby), when the voting phase comes, ideally you want to keep your cover as long as possible. As such, you should attempt to appear like a person merely sheeping the vote. This way, no one will really latch onto the possibility that you're Kuja right away and will be able to continue to slide by.

Alternatively (assuming FF/a theme where you're partnered with the fastest killer), as soon as Kefka contacts you and nearly all threats are gone (let's say only Larsa (again, assuming FF) is in your way), you may feel free to vote to your heart's content. Even if you do miss, Kefka has another shot to take out the remaining threat, meaning there's no real problem to not voting as early and rashly as you want.

I will definitely post more later (or edit this one or something). I guess I'm just lazy right now.

This might actually fall under only a few specific themes, but one thing that's important is knowing when nv@4 and/or nv@6 don't apply (some examples include a lone mafia role with an additional kill (or daykill), additional votes, a voteshield, an ability to survive a lynch, etc).
