Some move combinations and abilities may not be available because it may not be available in the generation. Tap on the move to checkmark it, showing that the move has been selected. Make this process faster by manually typing the move name in the search bar. Repeat the previous steps mentioned for all the Pokémon slots. Step 5 (Optional) This step allows you to access the Hackmon feature. On the Step 3 at the bottom part, tap on "Hackmon Disabled" (by default) button to enable it. The app will allow you to give your Pokémon moves and abilities they cannot normally get, and the EVs can be maximized for all stats. It also allows you to use a Pokémon's Mega Evolution without Mega Stone. Find and tap on the "Formes" button to display the Pokémon's available formes. Step 6 After finishing your team, go back to the Primary Info window, tap on the menu button on your device (or in the app), then tap on "Save team as" and give it a name. How to Find a Battle Spoiler Find Battle allows you to battle without having to search for a player or ask for a battle on the server. Either tap on the two Pokéballs next to chat bar, or access it on the menu. The following window should appear showing you a few options. Force Rated: makes the app search only for battles that will give you points for the ranking. Force Same tier: makes the app only search for players that have the same tier as yours; it is advisable to have this option always checked because otherwise, you will battle against teams from other tiers and the battles will always show unrated in this case. Only withing range: To find players that have a rank close to yours or on the range specified. How to Select a Tier Spoiler The server automatically assigns the tier for your team based on what are the Pokémon in it, but if you want to choose a different tier, such as a side metagame or any other tier, you can get in this option and choose the tier of your preference. You can also choose a tier without having to access this option, to do that just type the following command on the chat bar. /changetier tiername, for example: /changetier SM OU. App Settings Spoiler Customize the App's features, such as flashing, notifications, time stamps and other things. Only mess with them if you know what you're doing! It will also show up when using Find Battle button, except for the Challenge Cup tier. To make a move tap on any of the 4 move slots. If a button shows a little bit faded, it's because the move cannot be used, probably because of an item like Choice Scarf or any other game mechanic involved, such as Taunt. Extra Tip: The Gold Button allows you to use a Z-Move. If you change your mind on the Z-Move, you can disable it at the Battle Window Menu. How to send messages in Battle Spoiler You can send messages to your opponent during the battle. Tap and hold the battle log, and the app should show you a small pop-up window where you can type your message. How to switch Pokémon Spoiler Swipe to the left on the screen to display the Party. Make sure you place the correct mega stone on the Pokémon, and make sure the changes are saved. While in battle, sometimes you may have to tap twice on the menu for the mega evolve button to appear. 2) It says invalid tier when I challenge, why does this happen? The app often doesn't update either your tier change or the opponent's tier change so it simply says invalid tier, to fix this just log out and then back in, get in the desired tier, and challenge. 3) Can you do double battles on Android? Unfortunately no. The app still cannot run this battle mode due to the complexity behind its coding on an Android device. 4) How can I check my Pokemon's moves in Team Preview? Depending on what version you use, this can be done by placing the desired Pokémon in the lead position, and this makes the app automatically displays the Pokémon's moves. 5) Why does the app give me wrong HP bar percentages? The app seems to have a problem when displaying the correct HP percentage, this has not been fixed yet, and we're not sure if it's something that can be fixed. Many thanks to @Carlmurray , @DoctorS , @Joeypals!! , and @Joyverse and other frens (Namely La.Infa) for helping me by providing me the screenshots I needed for this! Thanks a bunch :3
No problem love! Nicely detailed guide btw, hopefully this clears up some questions (if people bother clicking links anymore).
NP m8 n_n I will help anytime you need it. Cuz you are my bae :3 Also really nice and detailed guide. Love it :3
Haven't seen this until now - not sure why. Great job, friend. I'm glad someone took the effort into producing a guide of this quality. n_n
Awww this guide is really neat and very detailed, good job Zoroark <3. I'm sure newbies Will absolutely understand this guide (~^-^)~
The guide has been updated with the implemented Gen 7. Screenshots have been updated to reflect the App changes and newly coded functions (such as Z-Moves). They have also been compressed without compromising the quality, now the screenshots consume approximately 60% less data, ensuring a faster load. (Thanks to @E.T. for suggesting me the website to compress the images) The guide now has a pretty cool banner to give it a friendly look! (Many thanks to @JoyFrost for the artwork). All the text content in the guide has been simplified for a faster reading. All the text content in the guide went through a Grammar Patrol process to ensure there are no grammar problems. (Many thanks to @E.T. for helping out with this). The Mega Evolutions list has been updated reflecting the megas that are currently not available in Sun/Moon generations. Some other links were updated. I still feel very grateful with the people that provided me the screenshots when I first created this guide, without your help the base for this Tutorial would have been impossible, you guys are the best :)
