Hey there, I wanna share a new team that I made that had very good results at the moment, and I hope we can make it better :] So here is the team at first glence: Since BW2, there's a pokemon that I used in nearly all my UU teams, being Heracross. I used to like Choice Scarf Moxie but now I feel like a Choice Banded set suits more to my playstyle Spoiler Heracross (F) @ Choice Band Trait: Guts EVs: 204 HP / 252 Atk / 52 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Close Combat - Megahorn - Knock Off - Earthquake Heracross is a fantastic pokemon to use in UU, especialy when you want to punish these annoying Klefki/Cresselia who want to spread status everywhere. If statused, it has 861 atk, which is just huge. It is also my anti hax mon, since scald burn me everytime :] I use 52 speed to reach 219 speed, which allow me to outspeed some uninvested mons, and also to outspeed max speed 50 base stat ( no specific one in UU). That being said, it outspeeds most Rotom-H and if you had the guts to switch into a Willowisp, something will take a huge chunk. I use Knock off for utility/more accurate move for Psyshic mons and earthquake to hit Doublade very hard. Spoiler Rotom (Rotom-H) @ Leftovers Trait: Levitate EVs: 248 HP / 232 Def / 28 Spd IVs: 0 Atk Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Volt Switch - Will-O-Wisp - Overheat - Pain Split One of the defensive core and part of the Volt-Turn core as well. Rotom-H makes a fantastic mon, checking quite easily Mega Manectric, Hawlucha, and most Mamowsines. I gave it 28 ev speed, because some people tends to run some evs on their own Rotom, and I find the momentum at my advantage especialy in late game. Will-o-Miss is an excellent move to burn set up Mons like Slurpuff ( if it runs aromatherapy, it's gg) and can cripple stuff like Mega Aggron. Spoiler Hydreigon (M) @ Choice Scarf Trait: Levitate EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - U-turn - Draco Meteor - Dark Pulse - Flamethrower The other part of the Volt turn core. Hydreigon is literaly the best dragon to use around Heracross, since it can take quite well Fire mons and can be very useful against Victini and Jirachi. I use Flamethrower as last move over Fire blast because it always miss and anyway Hydreigon cleans most of the time. A max spread is use for obvious reasons, maximise speed and Special attack to hit the stronger enough and the fastest enough. Spoiler Jirachi @ Leftovers Trait: Serene Grace EVs: 252 HP / 224 SDef / 32 Spd Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk) - Substitute - Toxic - Iron Head - Fire Punch The aids of the team. Sub Toxic Jirachi is literaly the way to go if you want to see your opponent ragequ.. choke enough to the point where their Water mon will be toxiced or they will send Foretress who will lose without breaking sub. Full hp to have a 101 hp sub, 32 speed to outspeed uninvested 100 Base and the rest in spe def to tank the best Togekiss, Tornadus and stuff like that. As I said, it's literaly aids. Spoiler Donphan (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Sturdy EVs: 252 HP / 244 Def / 12 Spd Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk) - Rapid Spin - Earthquake - Stealth Rock - Ice Shard The momentum given, the nuisance set up that will cause a lot of switches, what can a team without rocks do? I use Donphan because it's a reliable SR user that has longetivity enough and bulk enough to save catastrophy sometimes. I use 12 speed in case the opposite Donphan runs 8 evs speed to outspeed the 4 standard and I run Ice Shard to cripple stuff such as Salamence and Hawlucha. It also stops a lot of Volt Switch to work, and takes very little from the U-turn users. Spoiler Florges (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Flower Veil EVs: 252 HP / 248 Def / 8 Spd IVs: 0 Atk Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Wish - Protect - Aromatherapy - Moonblast Florges pair very well with Jirachi and Hydreigon, it also clear the bad status ( such as Heracross sleeping, burned Jirachi etc) and proves to be an excellent wish passer and also a decent switch in to Tornadus-T and Hydreigon ( who otherwise sweeps my team). I prefer to use a Bold one to not lose Salamence, who can gives me troubles if well placed. I think Florges doesn't need any special introduction since it's one of the most used UU mon. In conclusion: This team is pretty easy to use (unlike all my teams usualy) and Heracross can get a kill nearly everytime it's well placed. I've won around 80%+ of my battles with it but I do believe we can make it better. Importable Spoiler Heracross (F) @ Choice Band Trait: Guts EVs: 204 HP / 252 Atk / 52 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Close Combat - Megahorn - Knock Off - Earthquake Rotom (Rotom-H) @ Leftovers Trait: Levitate EVs: 248 HP / 232 Def / 28 Spd IVs: 0 Atk Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Volt Switch - Will-O-Wisp - Overheat - Pain Split Hydreigon (M) @ Choice Scarf Trait: Levitate EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - U-turn - Draco Meteor - Dark Pulse - Flamethrower Jirachi @ Leftovers Trait: Serene Grace EVs: 252 HP / 224 SDef / 32 Spd Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk) - Substitute - Toxic - Iron Head - Fire Punch Donphan (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Sturdy EVs: 252 HP / 244 Def / 12 Spd Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk) - Rapid Spin - Earthquake - Stealth Rock - Ice Shard Florges (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Flower Veil EVs: 252 HP / 248 Def / 8 Spd IVs: 0 Atk Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Wish - Protect - Aromatherapy - Moonblast Threat List: Spoiler -Nidoking: hardly anything can switch in without prediction, it's defenitely one of the most hard thing to play around. -Tyrantrum: Well, Choice Band can 2hko everything when locked into the right move, if Donphan is down, you lose straight to Head Smash -Nasty Plot Lucario: One bad move, and you lose, if Donphan has lost sturdy, it will be hard to win against NP Luke who can easily break my defensive core -Entei can be a nuisance if banded, have to play around with rachi and Rotom-h -Suicune can win if Heracross is not statused and can PP stall
Team looks good.Might be a good idea to add nasty plot Infernape to threat list since it can easily beat rotom with rocks up.Mega Beedril can be a bit troublesome too.DD Feraligator is another serious threat.
Thank you for you answer fren :] Problem is, I don't know what member is expendible :v DD gatr will have hard time to set up, unless on rachi, but it's defenitely a problem!
it's not a bad team but there are simply too many holes in the team for it to be effective and the team is really passive in general when you have only 2 mons that are your damage dealers, and of which one of them is painfully slow and is pretty much fodder vs offense since all mons on offense will usually just outrun and ko off the bat. the passiveness of the team lets really strong and threatening wallbreakers such as cb victini and LO mixed hydrei to just waltz in and do a massive truckton of damage and if the wallbreakers dont kill you, their revenge-killers such as maero will. what the team really needs is a durable physical wall, reliable sr setter, reliable spinner, fire check, phazer, special tank and secondary stall win-condition. jirachi and donphan looks like the weak links of the team, so i'll attempt to replace them in order to make your team less weak to threats. firstly, defensive mswampert>donphan. mswampert is probably one of if not the best fire checks in the tier by virtue of its solid defensive typing + great bulk, while also helping to support the team with sr and roar, and these qualities let you have a better chance of playing around victini, infernape, arcanine, entei, mmanectric, suicune, maero (btw also fucks your team really hard), tyrantrum, flygon etc, and all of these pokemon are all fully capable of punishing your team really hard because you lack a durable check that can last until mid/endgame. i've honestly not tested how good defensive mswampert is and whether vanilla swampert w/ leftovers is better but the extra physical bulk is definitely very handy, and so is the increased offensive presence. secondly, curselax>jirachi. jirachi honestly isn't doing much to the team other than adding the element of being a dick to the opponent and yet achieving almost nothing against offense and perhaps even balance because it needs to be faster to pull off iron head flinches and spread toxic. stall usually carries a cleric+bulky water which makes it difficult for jirachi to break past unless you get insanely lucky and flinch+poison them to death. lax gives you the much needed nidoking/queen check, offensive mblastoise check, secondary fire resist, specs chandelure check, msceptile check etc while stall is super hard-pressed to play around this because the only way stall can play around this is to get up maximum hazards+phaze it out to wear it down because of their own lack of offensive presence and foddering your other 5 mons and leaving lax as your last mon is a guarenteed auto win because they simply can't stop lax from boosting. what does 52 spe on hera actually outrun, it only reaches 219 speed which speed ties w/ max speed empoleon. since luc is kinda a huge threat you might want to run jolly+196spe to outrun adamant/modest max speed luc. pursuit>eq so you get to trap tini after v create and get rid of ghosts for lax. yea i guess i took away your hazard control mon but honestly hazards aren't too big of an issue, not when your team has lots of gaping holes and matches up poorly vs offense. rotom-h is really the only sr weak mon and it does have semi reliable recovery in pain split so it's not too bad i guess. sets: Swampert (F) @ Swampertite Trait: Torrent EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SDef Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd) - Scald - Stealth Rock - Earthquake - Roar Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Thick Fat EVs: 144 HP / 188 Def / 176 SDef Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk) - Rest - Curse - Return - Sleep Talk
Thank you DN, I'll try out all these stuff, they look great! About the Hera I might consider the spread you proposed, maybe it will be better, since it does not have to switch anymore on all Suicune!
