Hello there Pokemon Online. I is the great Yveltal the BOLT, aka ddrox13 aka Inigomontoya. I have come to you today with my second correctly formatted RMT, this time for the Balanced Hackmons tier. This team got my first alt to 25th on the ladder, and my current alt to 4th (before losing to a bunch of hax), and has beaten 2 of the 3 common #1 players. All of my pokemon are named after League of Legend champion's ultimate abilities, because I could. Also, the color scheme was designed for a forum with a black background and took me a long time to change. Cyan and Yellow don't show up well on White. This text was also Red, but @Joyverse and @Fuzzysqurl complained. Intervention (Shedinja) @ Lum Berry/Safety Goggles Trait: Sturdy EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Shell Smash - Endeavor - Shadow Sneak/Extremespeed/Vacuum Wave/Shadow Force - Baton Pass ACTIVE: Kayle bathes a target ally champion or herself in holy light, rendering the champion immune to all damage for a few seconds. Sturdy Shedinja is a staple of many BH teams, due to it's innate ability to not die. ALL BH teams must run a counter to this or it sweeps. Endeavor is the crux of the set, with the ability to lower the opponent to 1 HP easily. Shadow Sneak or E-Speed is your choice, depending on weather you want Arceus or Giratina/Gengar to be immune to your combo. V-wave is only suggested as a way to circumvent Spiky Shield and Rocky Helmet, both of which ignore your Sturdy, while Shadow Force allows you to hit through yonder sheilds. Smash-pass fills the last 2 moveslots as something to use if you think the opp will use/have S-Shield/Helmet. Giratina is immune to Endeavor, so I often boost and Shadow Sneak her to death (unless Dargon Tail). Lum vs Goggles is also up to the user. both circumvent various methods of death, but not all of them. IdolofDurand (Chansey) (F) @ Eviolite Trait: Fur Coat EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spd Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd) - Metal Burst - Spiky Shield - Wish - Haze/Topsy-Turvy ACTIVE: Galio becomes a statue and channels for 2 seconds, taunting nearby foes and reducing incoming physical and magic damage by 50%. When the channel ends, Galio bursts out of his statue form, dealing magic damage to enemies within range. The damage is increased by 5% for each attack suffered while channeling, capping at 40%. If the channel is canceled, the damage radius is reduced to 575 instead of normal. Fur Coat Chansey. This thing takes no damage from unboosted enemies. and what damage it does take is Metal Bursted right back where it belongs. Minimum speed is run due to MB's lack of Counter's negitive priority, and minimum attack because fuck Foul Play. Spiky Shield removes Shedinja from the equation, and Wish allows you to be a Cleric or just heal up and Burst again. Haze and T-T are to counter anything that thinks it can boost on a pokemon with 0 damage output. T-T is more effective at what it does, while Haze ignores Substitute. Take your pick. Name implies that if you hurt me, I am going to f*** you over. Subjugate (Chansey) (F) @ Eviolite Trait: Imposter EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef / 252 Spd IVs: 0 Atk Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Skill Swap ACTIVE: Trundle drains the life force out of an enemy champion, dealing magic damage equal to a percentage of his target's maximum health and healing himself for the same amount, as well as stealing 40% of the target's armor and magic resist. Species Clause isn't a thing in BH, so I can abuse all the tankyness I want to. Imposter copies all of the opponents stats EXCEPT HP, and Chansey's 707 is more than most pokemon. The item is the other thing that remains uncopied, and due to some mechanic that says the transformed pokemon is still Chansey, the Eviolite boost also remains active. Everything beyond the first 2 lines of the importable is only for the odd case where Imposter doesn't trigger. Skill swap is the only thing that actually matters, as it can force whatever you couldn't transform into to transform into Chansey. Everything else on this set doesn't matter. Name generally shows that imma be over here stealing ALL YOUR BOOSTS HUEHUEHUE. Chaos Storm (Hoopa-B) @ Dread Plate Trait: Magic Bounce EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef / 252 Spd IVs: 0 Atk Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Rapid Spin - Magma Storm - Heart Swap/Any coverage move - Hyperspace Fury FIRST CAST: Viktor conjures an arcane singularity at a target location, dealing magic damage to every enemy it hits and interrupting channeled abilities. The singularity remains active for 7 seconds afterwards, dealing magic damage to all nearby enemies every 0.5 seconds. Apparently the internet has no working gif of Hoopa-B (bolded to show that it is not normal Hoopa, as the gif might imply). Oh well. Hoopa-B serves many, many roles on this team. Magic Bounce allows him to switch in on Spores and Stealth Rocks. Rapid Spin remove existing hazards. Magma Storm kills all forms of Shedinja. Heart Swap is anti-boost, because what Special attacker doesn't like stealing +6 SpAtk from their opponent. A coverage move can be run here if you aren't getting the Heart Swaps off as it is, but beware that pesky Impostor douchebags CAN use these moves. The most recent version of this team uses Steam Eruption. Hyperspace Furry is the core attack of this set, which cannot be used by Impostors and breaks Spiky Shield (Impostors can use it). 0 Atk IVs because Foul Play exists. Dread Plate because I can't think of a useful item here, so more of the damages! The name references Hyperspace Furry as an Arcane Singularity that interrupts all forms of the move Protect. The Culling (Mega Rayquaza) @ Sky Plate Shiny: Yes Trait: Aerilate EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef / 252 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)/Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Extreme Speed - Outrage - Will-O-Wisp - Fake Out ACTIVE: Lucian starts firing [gun] shots in the target direction for 3 seconds, each shot dealing physical damage to the first enemy it hits. The number of shots fired scales with his attack speed. My usual Lead, He earned the name The Culling because Quaza culls things. Outrage with Aerilate Fake Out and E-Speed together make up Rayquaza's Trinity (Force), use them to do Tons of Damage. Outrage is more of a desperation move and should never be used unless it is needed and no Fairies are alive on the other side of the field. WoW kills Sheddy. Jolly allows you to outspeed max speed Mega Diancie, which otherwise forces you out, while Adamant does more of the damages. not much else to say here, other that this character being Shiny is very, very important to the success of this team. And the name. Crescendo (Mega Gengar) (F) @ Spooky Plate Trait: Prankster EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 SDef / 252 Spd Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Spore - Rapid Spin - Leech Seed/Boomburst - Judgment ACTIVE: Sona plays an irresistible chord in a line, dealing magic damage to enemy champions and stunning them for 1.5 seconds, forcing them to dance.Sleep =/= dance, but is has the same effect of making the enemy stop attacking me for a while. Prankster with Spore is abusive on so many levels. Leech Seed is for non-goggles variants of Shedinja. Boomburst is another option to break subs, something this team has trouble doing. Rapid Spin is for the user to visualize how a spinning ghost would remove hazards. Judgement is also anti-Chansey, because without the Spooky Plate it is a Normal type attack, which Ghostys are immune to. DO NOT USE SPORE IF THE ENEMY HAS A GIRATINA/REGISTEEL ALIVE. It generally ends badly for Gengar due to Magic Bounce. Anyway, tell me what you think, and ill be happy to listen. I hope this tier becomes quite big on PO. The [RAW] clan has already recognized it as a "Real Tier", and I hope many other people see it like that as well (It's damn well more real than BF). It would be a LOT more fun with 1500+ people at least. It would make the ladder more competitive anyway. :P It appears that I have forgotten to explain how to play this team. Ill add a couple logs when I find a couple good ones. This team is a very balanced team. The order of team importance, generally speaking, is Hoopa>Gengar=Ray>Impostor>FurCoat>Shedinja. If you need to sac something, use something that's purpose has been removed or that's lower in importance. THIS TEAM RELIES ON SWITCHING A LOT. As such, the two Rapid Spin users are very important to keep alive. If both of them are dead and the opp has SR up, I probably lose. Shedinja is more important until major damage threats on the other team (Rayquaza, Sans-MoldBreaker MewtwoX) are disposed of. HOW TO THIS TEAM (more added soon): On logs, my comments will be in Red and Bold This first one isn't a really good game, but it just goes to show how Shed and Ryq can change the landscape of battle. It is a good team overall. Really liked the idea of Fur Coat Chansey with MB. However some dudes (like me) run Fire Spin LO Xern with substitute just to bop out both Culling and Intervention what will you do then?
Thanks Joy, though as credited, others gave me that idea. Tho Arieon said to use Blissey, who is inferior for this perfect. Be very, very sad. I will admit this team lacks adequate anti-Fairy materials. If I see a Xerneas, I generally try to make sure my only Fairy resist stays alive for a long time. At that point it is a matter of predicting the Subs. I have considered Boomburst over Leech Seed on Gengar, but that takes away from my anti-Shedinja options. Ill add it as an option in the OP. Option B is just Metal Burst all of the attacks, which is how I beat most non-boosting offensive pokemons. Also, 2 logs posted with commentary in the OP.
Debatable. My eyes hurt. I'd avoid running Toxic, otherwise you give them fire power back. I don't think you want your Imposter to deal with poison. Absolutely false by the way. Wouldn't your lack of anything to deal damage to Diancie force you out anyway? I Heart Swapped too early. Swapping again would give you back boosts. I backed myself into a corner real quick and couldn't do anything except hope your Sheddy was Goggles. I'd love to rematch one day, still trying to tweak the team and learn how to play after not battling since shortly after X/Y came out.
Yea well... I SWEAR IT LOOKED BETTER ON THE BLACK BACKGROUND Right, I just noticed that as well. Ill be removing that shortly Im 95% certain due to the fact that Chansey is not Hoopa-B, Hyperspace Furry will fail. Mostly because I have seen it happen. Simply a matter of getting one Fake Out off for like 20% of Diancie's health rather than getting killed by Diancie's faster Fake Out. Note that this implies Diancie is max speed. Also, Thousand Arrows can be run in place of W-o-W if this occurs. I noticed that. After a rematch that you won (basically), I think that your team is quite good. Ill refrain from revealing it here, but it was quite annoying to play. I may have to try it :P.
At one point this was assumed. I actually tested it myself in game and it does allow transformed pokemon to use HF. https://github.com/po-devs/pokemon-online/commit/92b472b0b54ec8f628de6a19c7b29f8816618f4e I've been trying to test out new members, but I'll pm you the importable of the version you faced.
Thx for adding me in the credits. But seriously the red is making eyes hurt.. I wear specs and while I look up the pointers in the logs I am like ugghhh my poor virgin eyes :V
Oh well. Thanks for the team, I kinda wanted to see how it worked. Your welcome! FIIIIIINNNNNEEEEEE..... Ill fix it....
Why the hell you are using 2 rapid spin move.If you fear about hazards add a magic bouncer somewhere in your team. Also Gengar hasnt got the defense to troll with leech seed so i can suggest you to use normal smash Judgment-Sword Set.Over to hoopa i dont know how it works in your team but you can use a more attacking hoopa with Life Orb/Safety Goggles with quiver dance hyperspace fury psystrike and maybe taunt[P.S. think clearly imposter pokemons cant touch this set].But anyways a good team i hope you improve it more...
I run a pair of RS users with a magic bounce user simply because this team is incredibly hazard weak. Sheddy, Ray, Hoopa and Gar all get worn down quickly do to the amount of switching I end up doing. I have started using a different version of this team with Boomburst>Leech Seed on Gar (explained above), Giratina>Hoopa, and Contrary Groudon>Fur Coat character. Has a good bit more damage, which is nice.
That's an awfully brazen Shedinja set. These days, the players who still run Shedinja don't do so for its offensive capabilities as you seem to be doing. You might try a pivot like this. Shedinja @ Lum Berry Trait: Sturdy EVs: 252 SAtk IVs: 0 HP / 0 Atk / 0 Def / 0 SDef / 0 Spd Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd) - Magic Coat - Recycle - Volt Switch - Baton Pass The advantage is that you don't have to worry about running into any Rocky Helmets, you just switch into an attack and then slow pivot to the appropriate team-mate. If you care less about dammage and more about speed minimization, these types of sets can also be run at level 1. Here are some safer offensive sets Shedinja @ Lum Berry Trait: Sturdy EVs: 252 Atk IVs: 0 HP / 0 Def / 0 SDef / 0 Spd Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd) - Endeavor - Recycle - Ice Shard - Baton Pass Shedinja @ Safety Goggles Trait: Sturdy EVs: 252 SAtk IVs: 0 HP / 0 Atk / 0 Def / 0 SDef / 0 Spd Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd) - Endeavor - Spore - Whirlpool - Baton Pass That said, its probably even safer to leave Shedinja off your team entirely, since any Mold Breaker pokemon with decent speed and Pursuit removes Shedinja far too easily.
Taunt maybe? Or he is really worried about leech seed. On hoopa-B it would mean you don't clear the field of any hazards the opponent has kindly set up for you against your magic bounce and it also has a LOT of pp. But I agree swapping at least one for defog would be useful if they're running ghost mono or something and with gengar it would be priority.
