Hey PO community.Welcome to my ORAS NU RMT. I am Haze Victory.A player who's been on the competitive scene since the beginning of the 4th generation.Mostly into OU,and with the arrival of the 6th generation decided to give NU a try. The team I am gonna RMT is an ORAS NU team, and the first I've made after the release of OR/AS this far.It is a team pretty similar to an XY NU team I used to use back when Durant was still allowed. The downside came when I got busy with studies for my upcoming preps, and found Durant to be banned soon after my return. And with pressure present from my studies, pretty much had to quit NU laddering as I couldn't really spare much time building and such. Hue hue hue...Up until now. - . (Ignore the Asian kid) Poor guy, lel. And a heartly apology to all my friends who Little Debby's trolled over the weeks. But well, the cat's out of the bag now.I am little Debby.I all along was \( ̄< ̄)>!Hue hue hue. Anyways, getting to the RMT, Most my teams are stallish in nature. And that's because I really favour a playstyle that can easily switch into threats. This team is no different. It's got an incredible amount of bulk and switches in and out of threats like nobody's business. *Here Goes,* Gurdurr (F) @ Eviolite Trait: Guts EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Drain Punch - Bulk Up - Knock Off - Mach Punch Pretty much the standard Gurdurr set. This guy is truly amazing in the current meta. With defensive behemots such as Mega Steelix and Milotic running all around,Gurdurr is a priceless member of the team. Not only beating the above mentioned mons 1v1,but also taking out many of the threats that would check Klinklang otherwise, allowing Klinklang to sweep much easier and more effortlessly. 4 speed EV's to outrun opposing Gurdurr and seems to be working this far. Uxie @ Leftovers Trait: Levitate EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SDef Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd) - Stealth Rock - Thunder Wave - U-turn - Psychic The first pivot of my pivot core and the rock setter. The EV's were originally so to outrun adamant Sawk, but I later dumped them to S.Def.The results were amazing! Uxie is my lead in most cases. The games usually begin with early rocks or I simply proceed to paralyze my opponent with TWave for the better. If incase my opponent chooses to lead with a mon such as Claydol,I merely U-turn out to Avalugg which handles it from there. Klinklang @ Leftovers Trait: Clear Body EVs: 92 HP / 252 Atk / 164 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Shift Gear - Gear Grind - Substitute - Return Klinklang is the late game sweeper of this team. And for the most part makes up for it's shallow movepool with one of the best boosting moves in Shift Gear, and one of the best offensive steel move,Gear Grind. Not to mention the STAB on Gg. Klinklang usually comes in late game as a late game sweeper, but also works fairly effectively early-mid game as a hit and run attacker paired with Substitute. (Though if you are sweeping late game, pull off a Gear Grind or two and then its Gg time :]..Get the pun?Good game, gear grind..no :/ ?).. Speed Ev's to outrun scarfed Pyroar after a Shift Gear. Lanturn (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Volt Absorb EVs: 104 HP / 192 Def / 212 SDef IVs: 30 HP / 30 SAtk Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk) - Volt Switch - Scald - Heal Bell - Hidden Power [Grass] Lanturn. The second member of my pivot core.Lanturn paired with Heal bell and an incredible amount of bulk soon turned out to be a very beneficial member of this team.Able to soak in an incredible amount of hits ,maintaining offensive momentum with VSwitch, and recovering health from any electric attack aimed at the rest of my team. Scald is overall the most suitable STAB move to use,and I got no idea why I run Hp grass but am keeping it for now.Feel free to utilize the moveslot better. Avalugg (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Sturdy EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SDef Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk) - Avalanche - Rapid Spin - Recover - Earthquake Originally Starmie's spot. But after the recent changes in the tier,I had to drop Starmie and went search for another spinner. After testing both Avalugg and Cryogonal to an extent,I decided to go with Avalugg as it also patched up my weakness to Scyther and had an incredible amount of bulk at the minor cost of a slight drop in offensive prowess. Avalugg is my team's Rapid Spinner, and even though the team isn't especially weak to SR,I believe it's always great to implement a way of hazard removal as Spikes and Sticky web can soon bring about the end of most,if not all teams. Specially defensive spread as it is extremely bulky on the physical side even without any investments. Vileplume (F) @ Black Sludge Trait: Effect Spore EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Giga Drain - Sludge Bomb - Moonlight - Moonblast Where do I begin? Vileplume is the pretty much the MVP of this team. And my primary check to Gurdurr and Virizion. After coming across a smogon user's post stating how Vileplume could 2hko Gurdurr with Moonblast,I immediately knew I had to use it!Damn you Smogon!! Anyway,Vileplume is the prime haxer of this team and deals out some of the best haxes, right when your opponent expects it the least.Aint that awesome ^_^? - [*Place reserved for threatlist. Will post later if I feel like it.*] Importable: Spoiler Gurdurr (F) @ Eviolite Trait: Guts EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Drain Punch - Bulk Up - Knock Off - Mach Punch Uxie @ Leftovers Trait: Levitate EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SDef Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd) - Stealth Rock - Thunder Wave - U-turn - Psychic Klinklang @ Leftovers Trait: Clear Body EVs: 92 HP / 252 Atk / 164 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Shift Gear - Gear Grind - Substitute - Return Lanturn (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Volt Absorb EVs: 104 HP / 192 Def / 212 SDef IVs: 30 HP / 30 SAtk Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk) - Volt Switch - Scald - Heal Bell - Hidden Power [Grass] Avalugg (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Sturdy EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SDef Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk) - Avalanche - Rapid Spin - Recover - Earthquake Vileplume (F) @ Black Sludge Trait: Effect Spore EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Giga Drain - Sludge Bomb - Moonlight - Moonblast And lastly, Spoiler It was easy topping the ladder at 1300+ tbh.I coulda gone higher, but ladder so dead you barely find it worth the wait after you've clicked find battle, lol.
Thanks for the rate, brother ^_^. And yeah,Sigilyph does seem to be a threat .But I outplay it using Twave + any of my mons that hits it hard. The key is to put up consistent offensive pressure to prevent it from setting up.As for the flame orb versions, they dont hit nearly as hard as the LO version and is easier to outplay as Avalugg beats it 1v1 most of the time, but of course these are times where you gotta be extra careful and wipe Sigilyph out before it does any significant damage to your team.
