Oh... well thanks, it worked. But it only said to do that if you were compiling the server. :/ Oh and I can't get bundle_mac_app.sh to run at all. I run it normally it says permission denied. I sudo run it and it says command not found.
Whenever I try and go into Servers as of today it says Your client version (0.9.77) doesn't match with the server's (0.9.80). Error while connected to server -- Received error n°0: Protocol error: unknown command received -- maybe an update for the program is available I am assuming this means that the client has been updated. However there is not a Mac version for that and I'm wondering if anyone has a Mac Version of 0.9.80 that works. I read the How to build thing but I want to check if anyone has one before I attempt to build my own.
Or I can. :D Well with the problems I asked about solved I just built the latest version with the leopard libzip, a leopard using friend confirms it works. http://www.mediafire.com/?k8xxo6wveu9ax32
Nice job Sukid, that definitely works (did you manage to macdeployqt all the libs or did you do otool and install_name_tool magic manually?) edit// I uploaded your build to my server (valssi.fixme.fi) because it has better downstream (100 mbit/s) http://valssi.fixme.fi/~lamperi/pokemononline/Pokemon-Online.dmg
The build works fine for the most part, but there is a glitch involving pursuit: when a pokemon is hit as they switch out, the next pokemon that comes in doesn't show up visually, and neither does their HP bar. Moreover it doesn't say that they fainted, but the next pokemon "faints". The game continues as usual, and the problem clears once the new pokemon is either switched out or defeated. It's odd.
I really don't believe that's mac specific. If you can replay that bug and provide log + screenshot it would be wonderful.
SO I am having an issue going into battles. I can always see my first pokemon (in this case Altaria) but nothing else shows up. All others have HP bars and Zero and I can't see what they are. And I can't select Moves. I would think it was a bug on ther update but my opponents can see everything fine I attached a screenshot of the problem in one battle. It was doubles so I tried a singles to see if that fixed it. it did not.
Right click Pokemon-Online in Finder and "Show package contents". Navigate into Pokemon-Online.app/Contents/Resources/, there are all the resource files like db/ and translation-files.
Good work sukid. My mac is borken and is undergoing some repairs at apple store so I couldn't even upload a new client :-)
It's the same for me too. Any help? Also, I went to download it again, just to try it one more time, and my download failed. It says: 0 bytes of ? - no permissions to read file. Besides my computer's bad grammar, can this be fixed?
Uh... I have no clue. It works fine for me. Are you guys using Leopard? I added the leopard libzip... but it may need more than that now.
Sukid, it needs the libutilities and pokemonlib that are compiled with PO now, but I think you know that already...
I compiled a build at http://valssi.fixme.fi/~lamperi/pokemononline/Pokemon-Online-0.9.90.dmg but I doubt it will work on Leopard.
I'm running on a Mac Snow Leopard. The latest update runs perfectly, except, everytime I try logging into the Beta Server it asks for a password. When I enter the password I get this: When I click cancel, I just get a blank page Help?
Sorry if I sound kinda naggy, but is either Sukid or lamperi working on an update for Leopard users that works?
I got the latest version of the mac PO it was working fine until now when I connect to the Beta Server I get this error:
Do macs have any newer versions then 9.80, It always says I need to update because all I get is Japanese letters under tiers, and I can't chose a team. I'm using Leopard btw.
Is there, by any chance, a version of Pokemon Online that works on Tiger (OSX 10.4)? I tried installing, it acted just like a program that only works on Leopard or better. I also tried using Wine, but it didn't open the installer. I updated Wine and then it would not let me use Wine, saying that it wasn't compatible with my version, so evidently the Wine updates no longer work with Tiger, too.
VirtualBox? It's better than Wine. It runs an OS withing Mac, whichever OS you have the .iso / CD for. Well I hope it works on Mac =)
