I have already re-downloaded the archive some times, cleaned the cache and used several browsers ( I even used wget) , but still no Chinese file found.
( The file was not found in the newest svn, either. By the way, I found it's better to use the abbreviation "zh-cn" instead. This is a more common abbreviation that means Simplified Chinese. )
( Shall I make a copy of another .ts file, then rename and edit it myself? )

Also, you can simply rename another file :)

My Chinese translation has already completed.
Download (Mediafire is restricted in China Mainland.)

It has some technical issues, however. I had done these all in Linux. So when displayed in Windows, well, you know...(maybe don't :-P) Some decoding errors occurred ("mojibake" in English according to Wikipedia). Common problem in Asian languages.
It is difficult to find out correct encoding for each file, as I seldom use Windows to test. Some files should use ANSI and others UTF-8. If anyone knows, please tell me.

All the database files should be UTF-8 -- The standard UTF-8. There shouldn't be problems with files generated by Qt Linguist.

Try again, to see if it works, and give some news :)

More problems (displayed English) under Linux after I converted all text files to UTF-8...
Fortunately, further testing by other people indicated that few problems remained to be solved.

I rewrote the .ts file that had been originally a copy of another .ts file to eliminate many English phrases remained in the client, but the first line of the move tab of the teambuilder ( Name PP Acc Pow Category, etc. ) is still English. The version of client and source match, therefore I don't know why. Maybe I should rewrote it again... ( How can I update the .ts file without rewriting after a newer version of the program is ready? )

    Anyway the up-to-date translation: Download

Thanks a lot, i just added it (not uploaded yet) but i see you translated almost everything, what a great work!

On windows, it seems the encoding of the items, item messages, moves and abilities are wrong. The encoding of the pokémons, move messages are fine though. Try updating them otherwise i won't include the problematic files in next download -- The universal encoding is Pure UTF8.

Otherwise, thans a lot for your huge work. If you want other people to be able to edit the translations, give also the translation_zh-cn file.

    The translation_zh-cn file.

It seems the situation is different with English OS. Tested easily, the teambuilder has no problem at all.
And a log posted by another player can be found here. The only problem is that ability messages are still English. ( If the log displayed and saved are the same. )

Ok, so people with an English OS won't see those things correctly while someone with a Chinese OS will be ok.

Well, i still think if you, for example, duplicate the file for pokémon names (which works OK for both OS) and replace the content with the one with the move names (which works OK for Chinese OS but not English OS) and save it then under moves_zh-cn.txt, then the encoding will be right and everyone would be able to read it.

Anyway, thanks for the .ts file :)

A update for the Chinese translation. The translation is now pretty usable.
    Download

Fixed all "@!*#^%@" with the help of virtualbox :-P , and the remaining problem is that some strings (including ability messages, move effects and clauses and its messages) are still displayed in English. I can't solve these problems yet with both encodings.

    I updated the translation files.

If you translate other files, please put them in their corresponding (but empty otherwise) folders.

    for example, db/pokes/pokemons_it.txt, db/moves/moves_it.txt, ...

Thanks for your work, but I'm afraid that your translation has too many errors and typos.
You should modify the existing one rather than create a new one.

    I can translate to Japanese.
    the code is ja
but I was wondering if there is any way that I'd be able to make a romaji translation and also a kana one, because I believe the code can be used for either

also I'd like to fix some things in the pt-br translation.

The code is jp isn't it, and you can already start the translation, as the translation_jp.ts file is in the archive.

Also if you want to fix some things in the pt-br translation use the file Neo posted as it'd be the most updated one ^^

For the japanese translation, romaji is kinda pointless, you'd better do a kana/kanji one D: !

And if I wanna translate moves, pokemon names, etc, I just open the pokemons.txt, change every line and save as pokemon_jp.txt?
I'm using Notepad++, and encoding UTF-8, all correct?
