'ello we have an XY one but now we have a new meta.

I'll start off with something that is actually really really good.

    Malamar (F) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Contrary
    EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SDef
    Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
    - Knock Off
    - Superpower
    - Rest
    - Sleep Talk

Sweeps a lot of teams pretty well, takes very little from most NU Special attacks and only really fears U-Turns and Venomoth. Don't underestimate Squid God.

Man you guys are all lazy. O Well peep deez keez.

    Klefki (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Prankster
    EVs: 248 HP / 164 Def / 96 SDef
    Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
    - Spikes
    - Heal Block
    - Toxic
    - Play Rough

Runs through shit like Mega Audino and breaks stall apart (except for Heal Bell Vaps and Togetic I guess! That and Steelix).
The EVs were for something but I really don't remember what.
    252 SpA Mega Sceptile Focus Blast vs. 248 HP / 96+ SpD Klefki: 130-154 (41 - 48.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
    Maybe that.

w.e i'll just dump all my shit here since I'm a whining cunt

    Pangoro (F) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Iron Fist
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
    IVs: 0 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpA), although I use Jolly occasionally
    - Substitute
    - Focus Punch
    - Knock Off
    - Drain Punch

Just sub on shit and wreck them, Knock Off neuters counters so yeah. Fun set basically.

    Klefki (M) @ Shed Shell
    Trait: Prankster
    EVs: 252 HP / 76 Def / 180 SDef
    Careful Nature (+SDef, -SpA)
    - Spikes
    - Thunder Wave
    - Toxic
    - Play Rough

Obv standard but shed Shell wrecks because Magneton is fucking dumb and traps annoying stuff that beats things like Venomoth and basically everything Klefki beat (which is a surprising amount of NU)

    Spiritomb (M) @ Black Glasses
    Trait: Infiltrator
    EVs: 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Taunt
    - Sucker Punch
    - Pursuit
    - Will-O-Wisp

Taunt is cool for the common Stealth Rock setters because they use it as hazard fodder commonly so it's kinda cool being able to Taunt Hippowdon / Steelix / RHydon and shit like that, obviously less enticing with Mega Camerupt / Spikes guys like Garbodor and Qwilfish but you can always Taunt on the switch to Garb and Qwil and they're easy to switch into so yeah!!!!!!

    Jellicent (M) @ Choice Specs
    Trait: Water Absorb
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Water Spout
    - Ice Beam
    - Surf
    - Shadow Ball / Hidden Power [Grass]

I rarely use this to sustain its potency, but wow is this thing trolly. Most people, expecting Status, say, Toxic, would switch into something like Klefki.
    252+ SpA Choice Specs Jellicent Water Spout (150 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Klefki: 237-280 (74.5 - 88%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Or maybe, seeing a Set-up chance with DD Scrafty:
    252+ SpA Choice Specs Jellicent Water Spout (150 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Scrafty: 268-316 (98.8 - 116.6%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO

Possibly try to trap with Pursuit Skunt?
    252+ SpA Choice Specs Jellicent Water Spout (150 BP) vs. 16 HP / 252 SpD Skuntank: 322-381 (91.7 - 108.5%) -- 50% chance to OHKO

What I love about it is that people never expect it (I don't blame them either) and it works 70% of the time, either severely damaging or OHKO'ing pokemon.

    252+ SpA Choice Specs Jellicent Water Spout (150 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Magneton: 270-318 (88.8 - 104.6%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO

    Gourgeist-XL (M) @ Life Orb
    Trait: Frisk
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
    IVs: 0 Spd
    Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
    - Trick Room
    - Seed Bomb
    - Shadow Sneak
    - Explosion

TR teams arent really common, but still. Gets up TR, explodes. Bulky too, so it can most likely get that TR up. I used this at the start of XY and I still occasionally use it.

    Regirock @ Assault Vest
    Trait: Clear Body
    EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SDef / 4 HP
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Power-Up Punch
    - Drain Punch
    - Stone Edge
    - Earthquake

Just gonna leave this here and let you make sense of it.

    Drifblim @ Weakness Policy
    Trait: Unburden
    EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 Spd
    Timid Nature (+Spd -Atk)
    - Stockpile
    - Baton Pass
    - Shadow Ball
    - Substitute

Come in on a weak wall and use Stockpile a couple of times. This should draw a super effective hit, which activates the Weakness Policy. That has the double effect of triggering Unburden and giving +2 to both attack stats. Then you Baton Pass the boosts, turning almost any attacker into an absolute monster (Unburden boosts can't be Baton Passed sadly). I've found bulky Swords Dance Gallade to be a great recipient, as it's not the end of the world if I can't pass it the offensive boosts. EVs maximise Speed and overall bulk, letting it outrun Adamant Sawk and Modest Mesprit. That said, if more bulk is preferable a spread of 252 Def / 172 SDef / 84 Spd with a Bold nature can be run - this lets you outrun 0 Spd Golbat and pass the boosts before it can Taunt you. Speaking of Taunt, that's what Shadow Ball's for. Substitute lets you evade status and set up on Weezing, Amoongus and Vileplume - you can also pass a massive Substitute to something.

    Trait: Sheer Force
    Ev's 252 Atk / 4 SDef/ 252 Spe
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpA)
    - Close Combat
    - Knock Off
    - Ice Punch
    - Thunder Punch

It's powerful and cool. Will 2hko max def Hippowdon after a layer of spikes.
Ice Punch for bulky shit like Golbat and Vileplume that resist its main STAB. Thunderpunch destroys bulky waters (Jellicent, Vapo, Milotic). There are other options that are also boosted by Sheer Force like Poison Jab, Rock Slide and Fire Punch.
Sadly you take LO recoil from Close Combat and Knock off, but those 2 moves just need to be there.

"Why are you using Flareon, this is why nobody will ever take you seriously as a player" - @Versace Python Cased

    Flareon (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Flash Fire
    EVs: 248 HP / 252 SDef / 8 Spd
    Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
    - Wish
    - Will-O-Wisp
    - Protect
    - Flare Blitz

This is probably a relic of metagames past by now, but it has served the function of checking many threats in the last couple months. A solid stop to special Mega Sceptile in its time, a decent stop to Mega Pidgeot until yesterday, a good Serperior check until about 5 mins ago, but it's still the most solid Typhlosion counter and a neat stop to things like Noivern. I'm not gonna argue that it's really great but honestly it's significantly better than anyone gives it credit for. Definitely far better than that garbage Guts Flame Charge set.

    Underground defensive Fire Types?
    Here I am..

    Magcargo @Rocky Helmet
    Trait: Flame Body
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Stealth Rock
    - Lava Plume
    - Toxic
    - Recover

Despite its absurd amount of weaknesses and derpy eyes, it's movepool is rich, with access to a move that most Rock types lack, Recover, as well as a useful ability in Flame Body, that greatly discourages the use of popular physical moves like U-Turn and Knock Off.

    Marill(F)@Eviolite
    Trait:Huge Power
    EVs: 248 HP, 252 Atk, 4 Def, 4 Sp.D
    Adamant Nature(+Atk, -Sp.A)
    -Aqua Jet
    -Play Rough
    -Waterfall/Ice Punch
    -Belly Drum

So one day I realized Marill got Huge Power too and wanted to test her out in NU. I've had some success, the key is too find a good turn to Belly Drum and sweep. Which isn't hard since Marill has that great typing backed by eviolite. Play Rough is secondary strong stab. I tend to use Ice Punch since Aqua Jet KOs anything weak.

    Corsola@Life Orb/Leftovers
    Trait: Regenerator
    EVs: 248 HP, 252 Sp.A, 4 Def, 4 Sp.D
    Modest Nature(+Sp.A, -Atk)
    -Scald
    -Power Gem
    -Stealth Rock
    -Recover/Toxic

Corsola is definitely one of the more underrated rock types. It's meh bulk is solidified by the fact Corsola has HP coming in for days. Corsola doesn't hit exceedingly hard but hard enough to pose a threat with it's awesome stab. Scald has people fearing burn and STAB Power Gem is seriously a godsend to any poke in a tier full of Bugs, Birds, and Fires. Corsola is an excellent Stealth Rocker especially since scald can scare out other common rockers like Armaldo and Hippowdon.

I lost to this once :[

    Stantler (M) @ Choice Band
    Trait: Intimidate/Frisk
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Return/Double Edge
    - Sucker Punch
    - Earthquake
    - Megahorn

Sadly, Sap Sipper doesn't work with this move combo, but hey, its not like intimidate/frisk aren't good.

269 Speed is enough to surprise a lot of bulky mon, and base 95 attack s actually useable with the band. Life Orb, Jolly and Scarf are all options but I like banded the best.

Ohai people. Simple set abusing Emboar's new capabilities:

    Emboar @ Leftovers
    Ability: Reckless
    EVs: 172 HP / 252 Atk / 84 Spd
    Adamant nature

    -Substitute
    -Focus Punch
    -Sucker Punch
    -Flare Blitz

Pretty self explanatory. Sub, Focus Punch and Sucker Punch are commonly seen on other similar things, like Cacturne for example, while Flare Blitz is just there to fuck things up. People underestimate just how powerful this fucker is. The 84 Speed outruns 0 Speed base 75s, but it's mostly just an EV dump because the HP EVs hit 404. You can go max HP to better take Flare Blitz's recoil if that's preferable.

Sorry for double posting, but no one else seems to be. Something I've been working on:

    Seismitoad @ Assault Vest
    Ability: Water Absorb
    EVs: 252 Atk / 56 Def / 200 SDef
    Brave nature

    -Earthquake
    -Drain Punch
    -Knock Off
    -Scald.

Seismitoad's movepool has some annoying holes in it, including a decent physical Water move, and Ice Beam, for starters. This compilation I have here seems to fill in those holes relatively nicely, as well as bulking him out considerably. 56 Defence is mainly just an OCD thing, because I like the number 200 on stats, but the Attack hit a pleasant 317, Special Attack stays at 206, and the Special Defence is somewhere near 370 with the vest. Pretty damn bulky. I'll post some calcs later. :3

    Trait: Intimidate
    EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spd
    IVs: 0 Atk
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Scald
    - Spikes
    - Taunt
    - Pain Split

People finally realised that Qwilfish is a god among Pokémon. But many people use the aids sash sets or just incorrect bulky sets. Please learn the correct use of Qwilfish. It's a god mon.

    Abomasnow (F) @ Abomasite
    Trait: Snow Warning
    EVs: 248 HP / 106 Atk / 156 SAtk
    Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
    - Blizzard
    - Focus Punch
    - Substitute
    - Leech Seed / Giga Drain

Now I never said it was good. SpA investment 2KOs 252/4 Mega Steelix with Blizzard. It's a laugh, not a sweeper.

    Sigilyph @ Weakness Policy
    Trait: Magic Guard
    EVs: 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 Spd
    Cosmic Power
    Stored Power
    Dazzling Gleam
    Roost

A new twist on the old Cosmic Power set. Cosmic Power boosts defences, meaning you'll need a super effective hit to take it out. This triggers Weakness Policy, doubling both attack stats and giving Stored Power an extra 80 BP. Stored Power is chosen as the STAB - after a couple of Cosmic Powers it reaches 100 BP, so you might not even need to use the Weakness Policy. Dazzling Gleam is for the Dark types immune to Stored Power. Roost keeps Sigilyph alive and healthy for longer. EVs let it outrun Drapion, with HP maximised and the remainder in Defence. Due to this set's one time use, it's best saved for late game.

[IMG] < Is there like wind or something making him move?

    Eelektross (M) @ Choice Band
    Trait: Levitate
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - U-turn
    - Knock Off
    - Wild Charge/ Thunder Punch
    - Drain Punch /Superpower/ Dragon Tail

Everybody goes for using his special attack stat, but miss out on his attack stat is even higher and he had a bunch of neat moves to play with cause of the tutors. The main draw to this set however, is the slow and powerful U-Turn for getting other things in untouched. Seriously, go look for another slow bulky U-Turn user in NU, there really isn't another one. There are slow volt switch(ers), but you have to worry about ground types and the like switching in and ruining your momentum. HP EVs help with the longevity of the electric snake, as you don't wanna be out speeding much anyway, attack EVs are obvious. When your looking to do real damage, which you will cause this thing gets like 540 attack or somthing, you have pretty great coverage moves. Hell, I mean its CB and you have U-Turn, you'll have no problem hitting things. As a bonus, things that normally wall this like Steelix / Seismitoad will be hesistant to come at first, fearing respective Flamethrowers and Giga Drains, giving you a surprise factor to the set as well, but even a Superpower/ Knock Off will do a chunk to both of them. Wild Charge hits like a nuke even resisted, but if you don't want the recoil Thunder Punch is alright too. Dragon Tail is another option over fighting coverage.

    Wow, other people posted. O.o

    Something I've been looking into:

    Dedenne @ Salac Berry.
    Trait: Cheek Pouch
    EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
    Timid nature

    - Substitute
    - Charge Beam
    - Hidden Power Ice / Signal Beam
    - Parabolic Charge

I've also considered Recycle in that last slot, as that would enable Dedenne to keep using its berry and recovering HP from it. But that'd either force it to use no coverage, or lose Parabolic charge. Which is bad.

Either way though, a simple SubCharge sweeper. It's about the most useful thing I've been able to find for Dedenne, except maybe this:

    Dedenne @ Leftovers
Trait: Plus (or Minus, whichever one it gets)
    EVs: 252 HP / 8 SAtk / 248 Spd
    Timid Nature

    - Entrainment
    - Volt Switch
    - Nuzzle
    - Hidden Power Ice

    A crippler. :3

Entrainment removes the opponent's ability, and also powers up Dedenne at the same time bcus Plus. It can then Nuzzle for paralysis, Volt Switch out. HP Ice is simple coverage. Max HP for a little 'bulk', which comes in useful with Dedenne's decent resistances. Obviously not a good idea to use Entrainment on Slaking or Regigigas or similar, lol. But that's unlikely. If you're worried about that though, simply lead with Nuzzle.

Damn they neglected this little guy. :(

    Kangaskhan (F) @ Silk Scarf
    Trait: Scrappy
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Double-Edge
    - Fake Out
    - Earthquake
    - Sucker Punch

Not a creative set as such, but certainly one people don't use enough. This Kanga is excellent as priority utility or even a late game sweeper with some spikes support. It's honestly a really great Pokémon and more people need to use it. It's not going to be smashing physical walls unassisted like a band Sawk, but Double Edge packs a disgusting punch on bulky attackers and the like. Adamant is absolutely essential as the power drop when Jolly is noticeable to say the least

    Kingler (M) @ Choice Band
    Trait: Sheer Force
    EVs: 36 HP / 252 Atk / 220 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Knock Off
    - Rock Slide
    - Superpower
    - Crabhammer

There is absolutely no reason to use this over Feraligatr, but it's fun anyway. It actually hits really hard with CB. It wishes it had waterfall, especially since Sheer Force. But it's still a fun little thing. It's actually faster than you'd expect and the speed was for something important but I don't remember exactly what.

Once Gatr gets banned, that's certainly reason to give Kingler a go. I made a mixed set back in gen 5 NU that worked fairly well, 2HKOing Tangela with Ice Beam and packing surprising power with Sheer Force Scald lol.

    Anyway, moar underrated sets:

Dodrio @ Choice Scarf / Band
Trait: Surprise me (any of them works, really. I guess Tangled Feet is the least useless)
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
    Jolly / Adamant nature

    - Return / Thrash
    - Brave Bird
    - Knock Off
    - Pursuit / Steel Wing / Quick Attack

About everything Dodrio has to offer. Hits shockingly hard with a CB Thrash, and can even benefit from the confusion if hax is in your favour:

    252 Atk Choice Band Dodrio Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Tangela: 230-272 (68.8 - 81.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Choice Band Dodrio Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Torkoal: 148-175 (43 - 50.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

252 Atk Choice Band Dodrio Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 240 HP / 252+ Def Musharna: 226-268 (52.1 - 61.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
    252 Atk Choice Band Dodrio Knock Off vs. 240 HP / 252+ Def itemless Musharna: 152-180 (35.1 - 41.5%)

Not the most creative I know, but it's a fun one to throw around. STABs are obvious, while Knock Off has good coverage and annoys things. Slot 4 has Pursuit to catch a fleeing Ghost or Starmie or something (possible, but unlikely), Steel Wing for Fairies, Rock-types etc, and Quick Attack is just simply priority to pick off weakened things. All work, though I should probably put QA first on the slot.

Offensive Whimsicott is amazing rn, it can hit M-Steelix and M-Camel w/ Grass Knot (base 120 power), Jellicent and Milotic (base 100) and other mons much harder than Giga Drain which allows it to run through the top used pokemon. STAB Moonblast allows you to hit pokemon like Gurdurr and Virizion (Which this set is a great check to both since it outspeeds even Virizion and you can Encore them if they try to setup on the switch to get more damage). Tailwind is an amazing support move to backup pokemon that aren't the fastest (Sawk/Magmortar for instance). If you're about to die, you can just Tailwind on up and bring in something to clean up. The last slot is a tossup, Whimsicott is so versatile that it can do whatever you want. Psychic lets it hit Vileplume and other poison types that resist Whimsicott's dual stab and HP Fire lets it hit things like Klinklang. Encore stops pokemon from trying to setup and uturn is nice for momentum purposes. Taunt lets you stop pokemon from setting up hazards (or in general just setting up) and allows Whimsicott to wall break a bit (stopping M-Audino from wishing for instance). Memento lets you setup with your next pokemon which is also pretty cool. In the end, the choice is yours.

    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Calm Mind

    - Moonlight

With shit like Virizion and Sawk becoming the new top dogs in NU Musharna can really find its stride again, and what better way to help it do that than a BP set. Could probablu EV it more efficiently but it's the thought that counts. Kind of an old classic of a set. Recipients aren't so easy to come by, but even something like Milotic or Rotom-C can do a lot of damage depending on team match-up and their sets.

This is a cool Mismag set that's really effective at breaking opposing stall/defensive cores. It's pretty simple to use so I don't think it requires much explaining, but it really likes Tspikes support (Roselia/Garbodor/Qwilfish/Drapion/Weezing for instance are great partners) and thanks to it's good speed, even offensive mons are susceptible to this set. Unfortunately, it has no way of touching normal types beyond Will-O-Wisping them and it can't hit Dark types all too hard either, but I've had a lot of success with this set and find it really fun to use :]

    Swellow @ Choice Specs
    Trait: Scrappy
    EVs: 4 Def/252 SpA/252 Spe
    Timid/Modest Nature
    - Boomburst
    - Air Slash
    - U-Turn
    - Heat Wave/Hidden Power Grass

Really underrated Swellow set; STAB Boomburst is extremly powerful, even coming from Swellow's 50 SpA stat and has a nice surprise factor. Scrappy neutralizes the Ghost-type immunity, Air Slash provides secondary STAB; U-Turn helps in scouting whereas Heat Wave hits Specially defensive steel types harder. HP Grass is specifically for Rhydon switchins, and 2HKOes Sp.Def variants with ease. EVs are self-explanatory, both Timid/Modest nature is viable (with Modest it hits 349 speed which is enough to outrun Heliolisk, but loses to Cinncino). This set acts as an excellent late-game cleaner, especially with hazard-stacking.

Overall a very fun set to use; use it well and your opponent will never know what hit them!

Want a Knock Off sponge that isn't deathly afraid of Sawk?

    Voila!

Swalot @ Black Sludge / Rocky Helmet
    Trait: Sticky Hold
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
    Relaxed nature

    - Sludge Bomb
    - Encore
    - Pain Split
    - Earthquake / filler move of choice

This guy is FUN. Tanking physical hits surprisingly well, the little guy can even scare off CB Sawk without trouble:

    252+ Atk Choice Band Sawk Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Swalot: 127-150 (31.4 - 37.1%) -- 83.4% chance to 3HKO.

And what's better, Sticky Hold nerfs Knock Off, so it doesn't lose its hold item or take the increased damage. That means:

    252+ Atk Choice Band Sawk Knock Off vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Swalot: 92-109 (22.7 - 26.9%)

The only thing Swalot fears from Sawk is Earthquake, which is almost exclusively on Mold Breaker sets, and thus somewhat easy to predict.

Sludge Bomb is the given STAB, because relying on Gunk Shot on a heavily defensive pokemon is a bad idea. Sludge Bomb also has that fun poisoning chance. Encore can be used against slower walls to lock them into something useless (lookin' at you, Shuckle), while Pain Split is Swalot's best recovery.

In slot 4, Earthquake is about the best coverage move you've got available, due to Swalot's weird movepool, but the elemental punches are available, as is the slightly more powerful Ice Beam and, most interestingly, Counter.

    A fun calc:

Countered Close Combat vs CB Sawk: 254 - 300 HP damage. This can OHKO.

So errm... yeah. Tanks Knock Off, takes on most of the tier's Fighting-types with relative ease, can't be Tricked, threatens Fairies, and Grass-types too. Swalot has a surprising amount going for it this gen.

Or you could use Muk which is kind of a lot less bad. But still not great and both still die to EQ. Also I think you'll find I run Sturdy EQ banded Sawk so ther u go. Either way I posted Sub Punch Abomasnow so I can't really talk.

    something Gorebyss can't do
invest in defence because combined with coil you tank physical hits almost as good as musharna BEFORE a coil (339 Def) so you can tank physical attacks all day, additionally sub is for scouting special switchins
water veil is neat since you can't get burned which means
    - you can't get burned
    - you ohko fletch with no attack investment
    -FLETCH

    252+ Atk Fletchinder Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Huntail: 94-112 (29.9 - 35.6%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
    0 Atk Huntail Waterfall vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Fletchinder: 288-338 (87.8 - 103%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO
    ok it almost ohkos fletch

    still coo

edit: aqua tail with 20 attack EVs is always an OHKO on Fletch

See this masked bondage ninja? You know what he gets? Base 100 SpA, a big enough move pool, STAB U-Turn and enough speed with a positive nature to outspeed base 80 choice scarfers that have a positive nature. BASE 145 SPEED. You need a late game cleaner or special sweeper? USE THIS SHIT.

Timid is more speed to outspeed scarfers, Modest more power and still outspeed base 80s with scarf that have a neutral nature.

    - Knock Off / Ominous Wind / Disable / Haze / Calm Mind / Curse

You can run literally whatever the hell you want with the last slow. First three are mandatory because its basically what makes this set. You come in on something that doesn't threaten Cof all that much, something you can take a few hits from then trap with Infestation, use WoW if necessary then Rest up and let them try to break through your defenses while they slowly die. T spike support with this is nice but makes it harder to take on physical attackers because you can't burn em. Last move is for whatever the hell you wanna run, disable if they're choiced is just cruel, Curse to kill them faster although its risky, CM to boost up, Ominious for weak STAB with possible boosts, Knock Off to get rid of their lefties if you trap their pivot/wall, etc.

Cute little physical wall. Easily beats Malamar and/or resets its hard earned boosts. I prefer Poison Point to Sniper since things can't set up on you there's no need to worry about taking balls to the wall tier damage, worry more about getting extra status damage on the opponent such as a U-Turn Scyther. Even after it loses Eviolite it still has defences on par with Golbat. Restalk ensures nostatus4u.

you wouldn't beat skunk/drap anyways IMO. I run into two variants of those mons- either w/ lum or sludge. Typically both beat you anyways or you have to hope you can get like max sleep turns. DE was just some cute gimmick that was for fun but honestly running hp ground over it isn't bad either. you're still not gonna beat vileplume tho

    Mild Nature (+SAtk, -Def)
    - Ice Beam

    - Hidden Power [Ground]
    - Ice Shard

Vanilluxe is a very powerful Pokemon. Freeze-Dry alone has great neutral coverage, and Hidden Power Ground covers Steel- and Fire-types that beat mono-Ice coverage. Last slot doesn't matter because its coverage sucks outside of that, but Flash Cannon covers Piloswine and Jynx. Ice Shard is relatively strong priority though, and it can pick off Lilligant, Virizion, Vivillon, etc. Speed EVs creep Ludicolo/Samurott, rest dumped in Atk.

I feel like Aurorus would do that set better. Refergerate Hyper Voice (or Nature Power/ Tri-Attack) will hit harder than Vanilluxe's STAB.

252+ SpA Life Orb Refrigerate Aurorus Hyper Voice vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Lickilicky: 169-200 (39.8 - 47.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
    252+ SpA Life Orb Vanilluxe Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Lickilicky: 140-165 (33 - 38.9%)

It doesn't get Ice Shard, but Earth Power hits considerably harder than HP Ground. Aurorus gets a few nice moves like Thunder Wave and Stealth Rock for extra utility.

The reasons why Vanilluxe is usable over Aurorus are its greater Speed and its ability to switch into Water/Ground/Grass-types more easily, which is important because it crushes all of them.

Neither of them are going to enjoy switching into water, grass, or ground types because of the SR weakness and Vanilluxe's lack of decent bulk.

    252 SpA Life Orb Lilligant Giga Drain vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Vanilluxe: 148-175 (52.2 - 61.8%)
    252 SpA Life Orb Lilligant Giga Drain vs. 88 HP / 0 SpD Aurorus: 307-361 (75 - 88.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

That set is designed to be a wallbreaker, so it shouldn't be switching into attacks often or at all, especially when you have effectively no resistances, a stealth rock weakness, and have no real way to recover health.

    Articuno @ Life Orb
    Ability: Pressure
    EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Modest Nature
    - Hurricane
    - Freeze-Dry
    - Agility
    - Roost

if you can give Articuno the appropriate hazard removal support and pair it up with something that takes advantage of steel-types then it will actually be very strong. A lot of bulky pokemon (Tangrowth / Lanturn / Uxie / Mesprit) are both very common and cannot touch Articuno (Lanturn's Volt Switch and Colbur Mesprit's Psychic do less than 40%) while Articuno can 1/2hko all of them or at least get the chance to fire off a very powerful hurricane. Hurricane dents most things that people would call ice-type checks as it 2HKOs AV Magmortar after SR damage, 2HKOs Hariyama, and just dents a lot of things in general (it takes about 40-50% off Uxie, forces Mega Audino to Rest, etc). Freeze-Dry 2HKOs Lanturn and OHKOs stuff like Rhydon that try and tank your Hurricanes. It outspeeds the whole tier including all the viable scarfers at +2 and doesn't die easily to prio. it's a good mon.

    Pyroar @ Life Orb

    Timid Nature
    - Fire Blast
    - Hyper Voice
    - Will-O-Wisp
    - Protect

Wisp + Protect wears down Hariyama, Rhydon etc a lot faster and Protect also messes with Scarf Sawk and CB Sneasel trying to Pursuit you. That's pretty much all that Protect does; it's a little gimmicky but it's nice to no longer have to mindgame with Sneasel that much if you don't mind giving up HP Grass (which is less necessary if you're running wisp, imo)

    Samurott @ Rindo Berry
    Ability: Torrent
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
    Adamant Nature
    - Swords Dance
    - Waterfall
    - Aqua Jet
    - Megahorn

Not /that/ creative, but I figured I'd just post. Rindo Berry allows you to lure in and beat Virizion, who will only do max 56% with Rindo intact, while OHKOing at +2 with Megahorn. Also lets you get to +4 on defensive variants of Tangrowth and beat them with Megahorn afterwards while remaining relatively healthy, and lets you get past Lilligant. Samurott + resist berry is a really good combination that also works with Wacan.

idk if anyone posted this but:

    Tauros @ Life Orb
    Ability: Sheer Force
    EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 SpA
    Naive Nature
    -Work Up
    -Iron Tail

    - Rock Climb
    - Fire blast

This set beats a shitton of what they call "switchins" to tauros (m-audino, rhydon, etc)
Tauros forces many switches in NU and you can take advantage of that by clicking work up.

252 Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Tauros Iron Tail vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Mega Audino: 190-224 (46.3 - 54.6%) -- 54.3% chance to 2HKO (guaranteed 2hko after rocks)

    +1 252 Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Tauros Iron Tail vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Rhydon: 265-312 (64 - 75.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

    252 Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Tauros Iron Tail vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Eviolite Rhydon: 177-208 (42.7 - 50.2%) -- 0.4% chance to 2HKO

Fire blast hits steel types, which resist the other 2 moves.

this set is fun as hell to use

    also FUCK FINCH
