So when we released ORAS, we said somethings were made of guesswork, rather than actual testing, since we had no means to test. Now ORAS has released everywhere (except Europe :( ) things I need testing can be tested I suppose :D First thing is small, but actually effects Groudon's SR damage. Does Primal Reversion happen on every switch in, or just the first? The other things are based on the new weather. What happens in this scenario Groudon is out with his Primal Weather Kyogre switches in and changes the weather Kyogre gets KO'd/switches out right away Does the weather revert back to Groudon's or does it just become clear? Second one is similar but in double/triples. 3 pokemon are out. Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza. Another Kyogre switches in and changes the weather to Primal Rain. That same Kyogre gets KO'd. What happens? Whose, if any, weather starts?
Rayquaza mega evolves and starts up Delta Stream. Groudon sent out next turn and Primal Reverts. Desolate Land starts up. Groudon is kill. Sunlight fades. No weather on the field anymore at all. This should answer both questions. If the Pokemon who last changed the weather dies, the weather fades and no other weather starts up.
That makes things a lot easier. Except for one thing. Does the same weather override each other? Like if I send Kyogre out against Kyogre, then switch that Kyogre out again, does it still cause the weather to stop?
I'd need someone with a Groudon or Rayquaza to be able to test that. I only have one version myself and everyone I know isn't that far in the game yet.
Can the abilities be Skill Swapped/Gastro Acid'd/Worry Seeded/Traced/etc? Needs to be tested too >:o Oh and if anyone is really in the mood for testing, see if Swift Swim/Chloro/etc work in the primal weather AND see what happens when Weather Ball is used in all of them :3 Wriggle is telling me to post about Hurricane in Delta Stream too >:o
Primal Reversion is like Mega Evolving, once you do it, its like that for good. Groudon took increased damage upon being sent out in Primal form. Groudon is sent out and primal reverts. Next turn opponent sends out Primal groudon which is subsequently killed. Harsh sun stays up. Same as above, but we killed the original weather setter. Harsh sun stayed up as well. If Ditto or Trace copies the weather, then kills the original setter, the weather stays up. Ex: Groudon sets Strong Sun. Gardevoir traces and ends up killing Groudon the next turn. Strong sun remails. Worry Seed will replace the Weather ability, effectively cancelling it. Assuming same for Gastro Acid Trace will copy the weather ability too. If the Trace user is killed, the weather stays up (I killed Gardevoir with my Mega Ray if that helps). SKill Swap presumably works the same Chlorophyll + others work like normal weather Solar Power works like normal weather Castform transforms like normal weather Weather ball works like normal weather No Wind transformation for Castform (rip). Weather ball is Normal during Delta Stream. Air lock and Strong weather: Castform does NOT transform. Weather cannot be changed (reason due to the Primal Weather is what was displayed), Water and Fire can still be used, Weather Ball is Normal type. Delta Stream does NOT remove SR weakness. Tropius still took 25% from SR when Delta Stream was up Also if it matters, Air Lock message appears before Primal Reversion on Turn 1 send out. ~~~~~~ @Selena Gomez was testing partner Only thing we couldn't test was Hurricane and Delta Stream, because neither of us had a Hurricane user.
Thanks! PO actually does most of this already. So I made some good assumptions I suppose. Although I'll have to remove Delta Stream Weather Ball :( Also I have realised I never actually coded Strong Winds effects. EDIT: I actually did do strong winds, I don't remember, but hey. So I think all of this should be done now
