This is the threat list for OU gen 3, feel free to add corrections/comments ~ Aerodactyl [secret] Stats: 80/105/65/60/75/130 Type: Flying/Rock Abilities: Pressure / Rock Head Aerodactyl is the fastest Pokemon in OU, tying with only Jolteon in Speed. It is often seen as a Choice Band user to abuse its fantastic Speed and high Attack. Hidden Power Flying, Earthquake, Rock Slide, and Double-edge with the ability Rock Head are the common moves on the Choice Band set, with Fire Blast as an option to deal with Skarmory. Aerodactyl can also utilize its Pressure ability by using a Substall set with Substitute and stalling moves such as Toxic, Protect, and Fly to slowly chip away HP and PP of opponents.[/secret] Blaziken [secret] Stats:80/120/70/110/70/80 Type: Fire/Fighting Ability: Blaze Blaziken is one of the best sweepers in OU, due to its high offensive stats and the diversity in the number of sets it can use. It is one of the few sweepers with the ability to break through SkarmBliss. The common attacks Blaziken uses are its STAB Sky Uppercut, Fire Blast, Overheat, and coverage moves such as Rock Slide, Hidden Power Grass, Hidden Power Ice, and Thunderpunch for Fliers, Swampert, Salamence, and Waters respectively. It can also use Swords Dance to boost its already high Attack before attempting for a sweep. Some other rarer but equally dangerous sets are the Subpunch set and the Revesal set(with Endure/Substitue and Salac Berry), which can possibly sweep an unprepared team with ease. The downside of using Blaziken as a sweeper is its middling speed and weaknesses to common attacking types such as Water, Ground, and Flying.[/secret] Blissey [secret] Stats: 255/10/10/75/135/55 Type: Normal Abilities: Natural Cure / Serene Grace Blissey is the best special wall in the entire OU. It can easily wall all common special attackers with its massive HP and Spdef. With a decent support options, Blissey can cripple the opponents with Thunder Wave or Toxic, while heal its teammates with Wish and Aromatherapy or restore its HP with Softboiled. Most Blissey choose to run Bold with max HP and Def, as its spdef is more than enough even without any investment. While being a great special wall, Blissey's low defense and lack of offense mean it can be setup fodder for many Pokemon such as Heracross, Tyranitar, or Metagross. The only viable attacks Blissey can use are Seismic Toss, Ice Beam, Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, and Hidden Power, however unless they are hitting super effectively, they are quite weak.[/secret] Celebi [secret] Stats: 100/100/100/100/100/100 Type: Grass/Psychic Ability: Natural Cure Celebi is one of the toughest Pokemon that have ever existed. With great 100/100/100 defensive stats, it can wall a majority of OU with ease. With useful support moves such as Recover, Leech Seed, Heal Bell, Reflect, Toxic, Perish Song, Celebi can easily stall out quite a number of Pokemon while heal itself and its teammates. Its offensive options, however, are somewhat lacking with only Hidden Power, Psychic, Return, Shadow Ball as the viable choices. Celebi is also a very good Passer with access to Swords Dance, Calm Mind, and Baton Pass.[/secret] Claydol [secret] Stats: 60/70/105/70/120/75 Type: Ground/Psychic Ability: Levitate Claydol is one of the best spinners, and also a good wall in general With Levitate, Claydol takes no damage from Spikes, so it can switch in with no cost and proceed to spin away the Spikes. With unique typing and good Defense, Claydol finds no trouble countering top threats like Salamence or Flygon, easily taking hits from them and KO them with Ice Beam. STAB Earthquake and Psychic are also able to threaten many Pokemon such as Tyranitar or Breloom. However, outside of super effective hits, Claydol's offensive power is lacking.[/secret] Donphan [secret] Stats: 90/120/120/60/60/50 Type: Ground Ability: Sturdy Donphan is commonly seen as a Rapid Spinner. Its main advantage in comparison with other spinners such as Starmie or Foretress is its ability to hurt the number one spin blocker - Dusclops. When facing 120 Atk STAB Earthquake from Donphan, Dusclops cannot easily switch in to block spin. Donphan is also a sturdy physical wall with its high defense and decent HP,so it can counter threats like DDtar, DDmence, or DDgya with Earthquake for the former one and Rock Slide for the latter two. Donphan is also rarely seen as a Choice Band user, ultilizing its 120 Base Attack to threaten the opposing teams. Its downsides are its low Spdef and speed, which make it the target of faster special attackers. [/secret] Dragonite [secret] Stats: 91/134/95/100/100/80 Types: Dragon/Flying Ability: Inner Focus While Dragonite seems to be outclassed by Salamence as a DDer, it still has something to differentiate itself from Salamence: better special bulk and different movepool (mostly BoltBeam and Focus Punch). Dragonite can use its special bulk to setup a DD sweep on more special attackers. With 134 base attack, its HP Flying and EQ still hit very hard. Furthermore, it also has Thunderbolt and Ice Beam to utilize the BoltBeam combination, while having Focus Punch to threaten the special walls that are Blissey, Snorlax, and Regice. While not being offensive, Dragonite can use its 91/95/100 defense to play supporting role, with useful moves like Heal Bell, Thunder Wave, or Haze. However, Dragonite's main problem is its average speed.[/secret] Dugtrio [secret] Stats: 35/80/50/50/70/120 Type: Ground Abilities: Arena Trap/Sand Veil Dugtrio's high speed, coupled with its extremely useful ability - Arena Trap, makes it one of the best revenge killer and trapper. With a simple set of Earthquake, Rock Slide, Aerial Ace, and HP Bug, Dugtrio can trap and 1HKO-2HKO many dangerous threats in the game. Jirachi, Metagross, Tyranitar, Heracross, Sceptile, Celebi, and many weakened foes, all can be KOed by the right move. By trapping and killing these threats, Dugtrio can make way for its teammates to setup and sweep more easily. However, Dugtrio finds it difficult to finish threats like Blissey, Regice, or bulky Waters, because it only has a modest 80 base attack. Also, it cannot trap Levitators and Fliers, which limits its uses a lot.[/secret] Dusclops [secret] Stats: 40/70/130/60/130/25 Type: Ghost Ability: Pressure Dusclops is the best spin blocker in the game. With stellar 130/130 defenses, it can take anything spinners such as Claydol or Starmie can use, and in the mean time cripple them with Will-o-Wisp, or attack with Night Shade and Shadow Ball. Outside of spin blocking role, Dusclops is also a great staller, with access to Pain Split, RestTalk, Calm Mind, and Pressure. A simple combination of Pressure, WoW, and Pain Split/RestTalk can easily stall many opponents out of HP and PP. The only thing lets Dusclops down is its low HP.[/secret] Flygon [secret] Stats: 80/100/80/80/80/100 Type: Dragon/Ground Ability: Levitate Flygon has a unique typing, and together with Levitate, this typing gains it useful resistance to Rock, Fire, and a Ground immunity. Therefore, it has plenty opportunities to switch in, especially when facing Pokemon abusing QuakeSlide combo such as Donphan or Tyranitar. With 100 atk and 100 speed, Flygon can hit pretty hard while being faster than many Pokemon. As a result, it is often seen as a CBand user with moves like EQ, Rock Slide, and HP Bug. With a decent 80 spatk, Flygon can also use moves like Fire Blast or HP Grass to combat Skarmory and Swampert, two Pokemon which otherwise will be its counters.[/secret] Gengar [secret] Stats: 60/65/60/130/75/110 Type: Ghost/Poison Ability: Levitate Gengar is unpredictable. It can run a variety of sets, and each set can mess up different Pokemon. With 130 Spatk, the special set with Ice Punch, Thunderbolt, Fire Punch, or Giga Drain can sweep teams without proper special walls, while the McGar with SubPunch can defeat Blissey - the Pokemon walls the special set. Gengar can also surprise opponents by using a mix set with Sludge Bomb, Shadow Ball, and/or Explosion to pass most Pokemon which normally wall it. Also, Gengar has some interesting status moves such as Will-o-Wisp or Hypnosis to cripple any opponent daring to switch in. Furthermore, convenient typing and ability give it many chances to switch in. Gengar's only downside is its low defense, but with 110 speed, it can hit most foes before they can make a move.[/secret] Gyarados [secret] Stats: 95/125/79/60/100/81 Type: Water/Flying Ability: Intimidate Gyarados is a very potent threat. With access to Dragon Dance, a high attack, and fairly good bulk, it can set up a DD sweep in front of many Pokemon. Intimidate also gives Gyarados many chances to switch in, and force the foe out, so it's even easier for Gyarados to set up DD and sweep with HP Flying and Earthquake. Water/Flying is a great typing, gaining it useful resistances like Water, Fire, Ground, Fighting, Bug, and an Ice neutrality. While its offensive movepool is limited, it has some support moves to compensate for that, such as Taunt and Thunder Wave. Therefore, taking down Gyarados is not an easy task. Beside the popular DD set, Gyarados can also use a Choice Band set to surprise its common counters such as Zapdos. Its main downfall is its 4x weakness to Electric.[/secret] Heracross [secret] Stats: 80/125/75/40/95/85 Type: Bug/Fighting Abilities: Guts/Swarm With high base attack and powerful STAB, Heracross can threaten many teams. It can attack right away with Choice Band to boost its already great attack to higher level, or use Swords Dance to set up a sweep. Common moves used by Heracross are Megahorn, Brick Break, Rock Slide, Facade, and/or Focus Punch. Heracross can also use Reversal effectively, and with this set, it has the potent to sweep teams without priority moves or Tyranitar. While being an offensive threat, Heracross can also be a good tank with Restalk, and with Guts, when sleeping it has the same attack stat as the CBCross has. Its main weaknesses are the 4x Flying weakness and the inability to beat Skarmory without Focus Punch.[/secret] Jirachi [secret] Stats: 100/100/100/100/100/100 Type: Steel/Psychic Ability: Serene Grace Jirachi, with its great typing (which grants it 11 resistances and immunity to Toxic) and excellent stats, can possibly a great thread to many standard team. With Calm Mind, Psychic and a coverage attack in the form of Thunderbolt/Fire Punch/Ice Punch, Jirachi has the ability to boost its Spatk to high level and proceed to sweep with nice coverage. With Wish or 101 Substitute, it can easily setup CM in front of the standard special walls that are Snorlax, Blissey, and Regice. If Jirachi doesn't want to do a CM sweep, it can play the role of a Wish supporter, and passing Wish around to keep its teammates healthy. It almost has no huge weakness, as even a super effective hit can't KO it most of the time. However, EQ users such as Dugtrio or Claydol can still take it down.[/secret] Jolteon [secret] Stats: 65/65/60/110/95/130 Type: Electric Ability: Volt Absorb Offense-wise, Jolteon is outclassed by Raikou. However, unlike Raikou, its higher speed, probably the highest in OU, means it cannot be trapped by Dugtrio, a huge advantage. Also, because Jolteon can force many switches due to its high Spatk and good coverage in Thunderbolt and HP Ice/Grass, it is a great Wisher and Passer, which can support it teammates by passing around Substitutes, Wishes, Agilities and possibly a Spatk boost from Petaya Berry.[/secret] Ludicolo [secret] Stats: 80/70/70/90/100/70 Type: Grass/Water Abilities: Swift Swim/Rain Dish Ludicolo has an unique typing, and when couples with a 100 base Spdef, can take Ground-, Water-, Grass-, Electric-, and Ice-moves like no other Pokemon. It also has moves such as Toxic, Leech Seed, Protect, Synthesis to stall quite effectively. While not being a staller, it can abuse its Swift Swim, together with Rain Dance, to become a threatening special sweeper with Surf, Ice Beam, and HP Grass.[/secret] Magneton [secret] Stats: 50/60/95/120/70/70 Type: Electric/Steel Abilities: Magnet Pull/Sturdy Magneton's unique typing gives it 12 resistances, including the rare resistance to Boltbeam combo. Its main use, as far as anything goes, is to destroy an Skarmory or Forretress (and maybe Jirachi/Metagross, if weakened) on your opponent's team by trapping them with a combination of Magnet Pull and ThunderBolt/HP Fire. Its strong 120 Special Attack means it can still pack a punch after the steels are gone, as well. However, it has a small movepool, with only STAB Thunderbolt and Hidden Power (often Ice/Grass/Fire) as its main attacking options. Magneton can also use Explosion or Metal Sound to surprise the special walls such as Blissey or Snorlax.[/secret] Medicham [secret] Stats: 60/60/75/60/75/80 Type: Fighting /Psychic Ability: Pure Power Medicham has a very useful ability that all physical sweepers would dream of, Pure Power. With PP, Medicham's attack jumps to 438 or 480, depends on the nature. With a Choice Band attached, Medicham can literally beat every Pokemon in the game with correct prediction. Additionally, its attacks have good coverage, with Hi Jump Kick, Focus Punch, or Brick Break for STAB, and other moves such as Shadow Ball, Rock Slide, or Double Edge. Medicham can also run Bulk Up quite effectively, and it can even sweep unprepare teams with the combo Endure+Reversal, or pass the boosts to another teammate with Baton Pass.[/secret] Metagross [secret] Stats: 80/135/130/95/90/70 Type: Steel/Psychic Ability: Clear Body Metagross is a really great Pokemon. Excellent typing, high stats, an usable movepool, all help it become a very dangerous Pokemon to deal with. With its 135 Attack, CB Gross can punch holes in the opposing team with high power moves like Meteor Mash, Earthquake, Sludge Bomb, Rock Slide, and the deadly Explosion. While the pure physical set is walled by Skarmory and friends, Metagross can ultilize its 95 Spatk to take down Skarmory and Foretress with Hp Fire or Thunderpunch (in case of Skarmory), and with HP Grass, Swampert is no longer a counter. Its STAB Psychic is also a great asser when versing walls like Weezing. Metagross' main problem is its somewhat low Speed, but still enough to outspeed most walls.[/secret] Milotic [secret] Stats: 95/60/79/100/125/81 Type: Water Ability: Marvel Scale A great bulky Water. Milotic has all it needs to stall: blessed typing, great Spdef, great ability which increases its lower Defense to a whole new level when it's statused, a sufficient movepool with Surf, Ice Beam, HP Electric as attacking options, and Hypnosis, Toxic, Restalk, Lightscreen to stall the opponent. Milotic isn't easily to KO, because most sweepers cannot even 2HKO it, and most walls are outstalled.[/secret] Raikou [secret] Stats: 90/85/75/115/100/115 Type: Electric Ability: Pressure Raikou is one of the few special sweepers that have a shot of beating Blissey 1 on 1. With Calm Mind and Substitute, Raikou can win against non-Toss Blissey easily, and with Blissey out of the picture, chance that Raikou can sweep the whole team with Thunderbolt and Hp Ice/Grass. It can also run Reflect to combat another special wall, Snorlax, which without EQ, lose to Reflect + Calm Mind Raikou. Reflect also helps Raikou take care of Dugtrio, a common revenge killer of Raikou. On the other hand, Raikou can also use a defensive set quite effectively, because with Restalk, it can win against any kind of Blissey, as Pressure will quickly cut down the foe's PP. Restalk Raikou is a great staller in general, because it lacks weaknesses, and has enough bulk to repeatedly use Rest.[/secret] Regice [secret] Stats: 80/50/100/100/200/50 Type: Ice Ability: Clear Body Regice has extraordinary Spdef, which makes it one of the best Special walls. It also has enough Defense to survive many non-super effective physical attack. Moreover, it can use the BoltBeam combination, so it can counter common threats like Gyarados, Salamence, Flygon, Zapdos, and so on. While not attaking, Regice can use the Restalk combo, or statuses like Thunder Wave or Toxic to stall the opponents quite effectively. Although not being able to stat-up itself, it can use Psych Up to copy the boost from CM users such as Jirachi and Raikou, so they don't have a chance of beating Regice (except maybe Wish Jirachi). Regice can also run a somewhat gimmick set with SubPunch or Explosion and Curse to surprise the opponent, but it is generally not as effective as the standard one.[/secret] Salamence [secret] Stats: 95/135/80/110/80/100 Type: Dragon/Flying Ability: Intimidate Salamence has a very high offensive stats, with 135 Atk and Dragon Dance (or Choice Band), it can hurt a lot of things. Hp Flying, Earthquake, Brick break, and Rock Slide give it good coverage to hit everything at least neutrally. If Skarmory thinks it can wall Mence, here comes Fire Blast/Flamethrower. Salamence can also run a pure special set or a mix set very effectively, because it has a not so bad special movepool, with Hydro Pump, Flamethrower/Fire Blast, Crunch, Dragon Claw, and the Hidden Power of choice. Intimidate and good typing give it many oppoturnities to come in and start the sweep. While being an offensive force, Salamence's bulk can also be put to good use with Wish, Protect and Toxic, as with right investment, it can survive most non-Ice attack and can stall for a long time.[/secret] Sceptile [secret] Stats: 70/85/65/105/85/120 Type: Grass Ability: Overgrow Sceptile is the fastest Subseed user in the game, so it can beat a lot of Pokemon with a simple use of SUbstitute and Leech Seed. It also has good Spatk, and together with Leaf Blade, HP Fire/Ice, Thunderpunch, and/or Dragon Claw, it can be a fearsome special sweeper. Sceptile can also a good user of Endeavor (in conjunction with Substitute), because it's so fast, it can at least dent a Pokemon with Endeavor. While Sceptile has good Spatk, its lower Attack stat can be boosted to higher level with Swordsdance, which make it a potential dangerous physical sweeper with Brick Break, Earthquake, and Hidden Power Flying.[/secret] Skarmory [secret] Stats: 65/80/140/40/70/70 Type: Steel/Flying Abilities: Sturdy/Keen Eye Skarmory is the best physical wall in the game, it has no physical weakness. And together with Blissey, they create the infamous SkarmBliss combo. It has what it needs to counter a large portion of physical threats in ADV. With handy support moves such as Spikes, Whirlwind/Roar, Taunt, Torment, and Rest, Skarmory can phaze the opposing team to death, while maintaining good health with Rest. Skarmory also can use attacking moves like Drill Peck/Hp Flying, Steel Wing, Rock Slide, HP Ground to screw over the opponents, because with correct attacking moves, stuff like Heracross, Tyranitar, Metagross, Gyarados and friends can be taken out with ease. Skarmory's weakness lies in its low Spdef, but it can switch out to avoid Special attacks anyway, except when vs Magneton - its best counter.[/secret] Slaking [secret] Stats: 150/160/100/95/65/100 Type: Normal Ability: Truant If not because of Truant, Slaking can possibly overpower the ADV game. With gigantic base 150 Hp and base 160 Atk, along with base 100 speed, Slaking can almost guarantee a KO with a Choice band attached if it predicts right, while not easily be taken down thanks to great bulk. STAB Return/Double-Edge, Earthquake, Shadow Ball, and Focus Punch offer great coverage, and even standard physical walls like Skarmory and Foretress can possibly be taken down with right prediction. Slaking can also use Fire Blast to guarantee an OHKO on Foretress. Moreover, wrong prediction doesn't cost Slaking much, because it can just switch out and wait for other oppoturnities. Truant is the only drawback on Slaking, and for good reason.[/secret] Snorlax [secret] Stats: 160/110/65/65/110/30 Type: Normal Abilities: Immunity/Thick Fat Snorlax is one of the best set-up tanks in the game. With perfectly distributed stats, it can effectively utililize Curse, boosting its lower Def to decent level, while also giving its good Atk extra power. Its naturally high HP and Spdef shield it from most kind of special attacks, so it can easily boost up with no worry. However, it needs Rest in order to stay for long, so its attacking options are limited to STAB Normal (usually Body Slam, Return, or Double-Edge) and a coverage move (Fire Blast, Earthquake, Shadow Ball). If Snorlax doesn't want to run its standard Curse set, then it can use Restalk, Choice Band (Selfdestruct from CBLax is terrific), or even Counter for surprise factor. Snorlax's main problems are its unability to touch Genger/Tyranitar/Metagross/Jirachi, depend on which coverage move it chooses, and also Skarmory can easily phaze it away. However, if Snorlax is the last Pokemon, then it can make a possible come back because it can no longer be phazed.[/secret] Starmie [secret] Stats: 60/75/85/100/85/115 Type: Water/Psychic Abilities: Natural Cure/Illuminate Starmie is one of the few usable spinnes in OU. With its nice speed, it can actually outspeed Gengar, so there is a possibility that it can KO a Gengar and proceed to spin after that. With 100 Spatk and good special movepool, including moves such as Surf, Hydro Pump, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Psychic, Starmie can threaten to sweep once the special walls are gone. In addition, with accessibility to Natural Cure and Recover, Starmie can avoid all kind of statuses, and recover HP when neccesary, which increases its usefulness considerably. Starmie is quite bulky, so it can be a check to stuff like Gyarados and Salamence when needed. Its problem as a spinner is it can't beat Dusclops - a very common spin blocker, and Starmie is walled completely by special walls such as Blissey and Snorlax.[/secret] Suicune [secret] Stats: 100/75/115/90/115/85 Type: Water Ability: Pressure Suicune has excellent defense and very good typing, which means it can possibly be one of the best walls in the game, and from both side of the spectrum. Its ability to stall is only rivaled by a few Pokemon, as it can Roar away the opponent, Rest (and sometimes Sleep Talk) to live forever, as almost no unboosted attack can OHKO Suicune, and only a few of them can 2HKO it. On the attacking side, Suicune is equally dangerous, because it can setup several Calm Mind when the foe struggles to damage it, and then attack with Surf and possibly Ice Beam. The ability to setup, recover HP when necessary, Roar away any phazer/CMer, altogether make Suicune nearly impossible to take down. Even special walls like Blissey or Regice almost has no chance of beating it without Psych Up. One of the most dominant Pokemon in the game.[/secret] Swampert [secret] Stats: 100/110/90/85/90/60 Type: Water/Ground Ability: Torrent Swampert is another useful bulky Water. It is part Ground-type, so it gains useful Electric immunity, and a Rock resistance. WIth decent Defense and high HP, it can wall Tyranitar, Salamence, and Metagross quite well, and in the mean time, hit them back with Earthquake, Ice Beam, and/or Hydro Pump/Surf. Swampert can also use Curse to attemp a late-game sweep, but it generally doesn't have the actual stats or movepool to fully utilize Curse. It can also use some surprise move like Mirror Coat or Counter to KO the attacking Pokemon, as almost no move can OHKO Swampert (even HP Grass from some Pokemon cannot OHKO the mudfish). Swampert's main problem is it cannot touch walls, and it does not enough damage to opposing foe without the help of super effective moves.[/secret] Tyranitar [secret] Stats: 100/134/110/95/100/61 Type: Rock/Dark Ability: Sand Stream Tyranitar has good stats, except its Speed, which can be boosted by Dragon Dance. Talking about DD, it is one of Tyranitar's common set, which can be used to finish off weakened team. With absolutely high Atk, after a DD, Tyranitar can outspeed many things in OU, and hit them with an Attack stat of over 600. Common moves a physical Tyranitar uses are Rock Slide, Earthquake, Double-Edge, and/or HP Bug. Tyranitar can also attack right away with Choice Band, as it sometimes doesn't have chance to setup with DD. Its ability, Sand Stream, nullifies Leftovers recovery of many walls, whch makes it easier for Tyranitar to sweep. Tyranitar is not only a montorus physical sweeper, but it can also utilize its usable 95 spatk to become a dangerous mix sweeper. TtarBoah with SubPunch, Thunderbolt, Crunch is a great wall break in ADV, because it can 2HKO most members of a typical stall team. Generally, when considering sweepers, Tyranitar is one of the best choice.[/secret] Umbreon [secret] Stats: 95/65/110/60/130/65 Type: Dark Ability: Synchronize Umbreon is famous for its Passing ability. It can pass so many support moves: Wish, Curse, and Substitute. On top of that, when coupled with Perish Song users such as Celebi, if played right they can guarantee a KO. Umbreon's impressive defenses help it in stalling as well, it can easily tank non-super effective hits, Wish or Moonlight to heal the damages, and can attemp to Toxic stall or Passing around. Its unability to touch stall can be fixed with Taunt, because with a small investment in Speed, it can outspeed majority of stall teams and Taunt them before they can do anything. Taunt also prevents phazer from phazing when Umbreon wants to Baton Pass. However, Umbreon is stopped coldly by any faster Taunter.[/secret] Vaporeon [secret] Stats: 130/65/60/110/95/65 Type: Water Ability: Water Absorb Vaporeon is a very good team player, because it can pass Wish around for its teammates, as well as Baton Pass Acid Armor and a very bulky Substitute. Its high HP makes it very hard to be taken down, so it has plenty of chances to play its supporting roles. With Water Absorb and Haze/Roar, Vaporeon can also one of the best Suicune counter in the game, although Suicune can PP stall it in a pinch. WIth 110 spatk, which is very high for a defensive Pokemon, Vaporeon can actually does some damage to the opponent with Surf/Ice Beam/HP Electric. Whichever it can't touch, it can Toxic stall, or simply Pass to a teammate. Vaporeon's main problem is its weakness to statuses, particularly Toxic.[/secret] Weezing [secret] Stats: 65/90/120/85/70/60 Type: Poison Ability: Levitate With its typing and ability, Weezing has only 1 weakness, which is quite uncommon and comes from the special side: Psychic. It means that Weezing is a sturdy physical wall, because with 120 Def and no physical weakness, it can wall many physical threat with ease. Weezing can then proceed to burn them with Will-o-Wisp, or Haze their stat boosts, making them helpless against the floating monster. Its attacking options are also not lacking, with STAB Sludge Bomb, Flamethrower/Fire Blast, Thunderbolt/Thunder, Shadow Ball, and Explosion. However, Weezing doesn't have a reliable recovery move, it has to rely on Pain Split or Rest to heal its HP, Pain Split is shaky, while Rest will make it vulnerable to many threats, because it usually cannot spend a move slot for Sleep Talk.[/secret] Zapdos [secret] Stats: 90/90/85/125/90/100 Type: Electric/Flying Ability: Pressure Zapdos has very nice stats, and an excellent 125 base Spatk. Its typing gives it useful immunity to Ground and Spikes, so taking down Zapdos will be difficult. Zapdos can run many sets, and they are equally good. It can be a Baton Passer, being able to Pass Substitute and Agility easier than usual, because Zapdos can actually hurt common Phazers such as Skarmory, Suicune, and Swampert with Thunderbolt and HP Grass respectively. It can also be a good tank with Restalk, because it has good coverage with Tbolt and HP Ice, and Rest will keep it healthy, while Pressure will make stalling against Zapdos very difficult. Besides these standard sets, Zapdos can run physical-oriented set for great surprise value. With Drill Peck, it can hurt a lot of its common counter, such as Celebi, Blissey and Snorlax.[/secret]

Jules, what are they =\ I can't and won't include every set a Pokemon can run in the list, but just an overall view of the Pokemon. And thanks for commenting, everyone ~
nitpicks Spoiler Dragonite Dugtrio Dusclops "in the mean time" is inappropriate, can be changed to "while also" or something else
I'd love to see Tyranitar on there, as it is the SkarmBliss counter. (Boah) Great Work! Can't wait until it's finished!!
Wtfff no weezing On Threat List? Stats : 65 HP 90 Attack 120 Defense 85 Sp.Attack 70 Sp.def 60 speed Type: poison weezing is a really good defensive wall,it can will-o-wisp the pokes, haze to the sweepers, pain plit recover hp,toxic do a little damage in times. It can have sludge bomb to STAB or flamethower for metals. Nvm i use it and he works really good on defensive wall
Magneton [secret]Stats: 50/60/95/120/70/70 Type: Electric/Steel Ability: Magnet Pull/Sturdy One of the few very viable Electrics of Adv, it has twelve resistences. Its main use, as far as anything goes, is to destroy an Skarmory or Forretress (and maybe Jirachi/Metagross, if weakened) on your opponent's team by trapping it with Magnet Pull. Its strong 120 Special Attack means it can pack a punch after the steels are gone, as well. It has a somewhat small usable movepool however, but it can run Metal Sound or Explosion to compliment itself very well. But with such a small movepool, Hidden Power (grass or ice) and Substitute are almost always a given on any set you'll find.[/secret]
Why use Grass? Sure you may hit Swampert, but you wont OHKO it. Fire is blatantly the most useful choice here, since you can take on Forretress without fear of EQ.
modest 252 spA magneton will ohko it, and that is a very common spread. please know what you're posting.
I know exactly what I'm posting, and my calcs yield 277-326 damage on 275 Sp.Def Swampert. Thats not an OHKO.
I think Tauros is worth mentioning. Choice Band Tauros is strong enough and quick enough to seriously dent unprepared teams - or teams where the Steel/defensive Pokemon have been removed.
It's true that Pokemon from lower tier can be threats, but I only do Pokemon in OU tier though :3 Threat list finished ~
Tauros IS in the OU tier. http://pokemon-online.eu/forums/showthread.php?5263-Adv-Tier-List One of my old favorite ADV teams was lead Tauros with a Magneton. I'd switch in Magneton first turn if the Pokemon on the field couldn't threaten it. 75% of the time, I would end up trapping a Skarmory and Tauros would proceed to sweep.
People look at smogon tiers though, so they deem it BL. Besides, it had 2.83% usage last month, thats hardly OverUsed. That aside, I think Tauros is HUGELY underrated in Adv. It definately deserves a spot in the OU tier, because it really does just plough through teams when they have no Steels. Many people miss the fact it has that 110 base Speed, which exceeds Salamence and Zapdos, most notably. As an Intimidate Choice Bander, it's main competition is Salamence- Salamence has a 4x Ice weakness, 299 Speed with a neutral nature (ties or loses to a few important things), and weaker STAB (albeit it has more Attack to play with). Tauros also has access to the ever so haxy Body Slam, which I find has a lot of potential to change a match (paralyzing Skarm on the switch in can really scupper their plans sometimes). Its also THE BEST LEAD of Adv. No questions asked. I never switch it out on anything except Metagross, and thats only because I'm cautious of CB. And Skarmory leads, but those are laughable anyway. Everything else has to switch out or face fighting a losing battle (even Salamence). /praise.
Tier changed so quickly :O but then I will have to change quite a number of things, which will take a while :3 Edit: Tauros is BL :O but I will merge BL and OU together anyway ~
[secret] Milotic Stats: 95/60/79/100/125/81 Type: Water Ability: Marvel Scale A great bulky Water. Milotic isn't easy to KO, because most sweepers cannot even 2HKO it, and most walls are outstalled.[/secret] Random grammar error that I happened to see. You had it as "milotic isn't easily to ko".
Well a list of UUs that make appearances (rarely) in OU, i would say, are- Aggron (Choice Bander) Altaria (Heal Beller) Cradily (BP recipient) Gorebyss (BP chain) Linoone (Belly Drummer) Misdreavus (Perish Trapper) Mr. Mime (BP chain) Nidoking (CBer/Mixed attacker) Octillery (BP recipient) Poliwrath (Belly Drummer) Primeape (Reversal) Shedinja (annoying piece of crap) Tentacruel (any set, beware of Knock Off) Labeled the sets you'd most likely (if ever) see. Poliwrath, Mr. Mime and Tentacruel are particularly common, from my experience (compared to the rest of the UUs). I do believe Hitmonlee deserves a niche spot in OU for being an excellent Blissey counter (Limber, High Sp. Def, 120 Atk and STAB Fighting), but I seem to have been the only person who's given it a shot.
That is not a bog pert, that's a very unorthodox/retarded spread. You're already either sacrificing lots of defense on swampert, which defeats the purpose of pert, HP, which makes him much less defensive, or spA, which makes him less of a threat. either way that's a retarded spread to have a 275 sDef pert besides the point that a full HP pert is already completely rare, and after pert takes that much damage he's not going to switch into almost anything, already making him near useless.
I run 252 HP/ 120 SpAtk/ 136 Sp.Def on my Cursepert. It works. I'm already boosting my defense, why shove loads of EVs on it? Its not like somethings going to exploit any physical weakness, and I know with a bit of special bulk I can suck up grass hits better. Calling stuff retarded doesn't exactly aid your argument. The point of the post was to highlight which UUs you're most likely to see, not if they're good or not. And you can't just say "well so and so's crap because so and so does it better" because it depends on the team, not the individual pokemon. I know I'd be fucked against last poke Snorlax if I didnt have SDPass Celebi passing to Aggron. And it doesn't hinder the team at all in using Aggron, since I've covered my weaknesses effectively. Almost every pokemon has a niche, you can't just dismiss them because they're UU.
Sorry, but I think you (Meteor and Jules) can stop your arguments here, they don't help me in any way actually. Meteor, although Jules said it in a hard way, most of your suggestions are really rare in OU, and the 275 spdef Pert is as common as Hydro Pump/Fire Blast Gyarados at best. Swampert often chooses to max out a specific defense stat rather than split its defenses (Defense for Mix Pert and Spdef for CursePert). The point is not what you use, but what most people use, I hope you understand. Anyway, thanks!
Uh because you still need to take physical hits on the switchin? Why bother putting attack/defense EVs on snorlax if it's just gonna boost its attack/defense?
Still says "Milotic isn't easily to ko". Great threat list though, I will definitely use it when I make my next OU ADV team. Why isn't ninjask (or baton pass at all) on here though?
Baton Pass involves many Pokemon, and it should have its own thread. To describe exactly how BP is a threat will be at least as long as half of the list already.
