    Introduction
Many Pokemon near the top of the usage lists have well-rounded stats and we often take for granted their ability to perform multiple roles. The Lopsided Tour forces trainers to balance the strengths and weaknesses of their Pokemon in order to build a successful team.

    Format
All Pokemon used must have at least one stat that is base 120 or higher and at least one stat that is base 50 or lower. Mega Evos use their post-Mega Evolution stats (e.g. Abomasnow would not be allowed but Mega Abomasnow is allowed). If a Pokemon's Mega forme is allowed but its normal forme isn't, you must Mega Evolve on the first turn it uses an attack.

    Rules
    • Tier: XY OU (Species Clause, Sleep Clause, Self-KO Clause, Wifi Battle)
    • Best of 1 (finals are BO3)
    • First rounds is 2 weeks long, all subsequent rounds are 1 week

    Optional

This isn't a mandatory part of the tour but rather something that I'd like to test out, if it's allowed. If the TDs don't like the idea then I'll run the sign ups and bracket the traditional way. Anyway, onto my idea. Too often in forum tournaments I see that a round has ended but not all the battles have been completed. Inactivity is one thing, but it's a shame when both players are active but can't get their schedules to sync up due to time zone differences. In order to make this tour run as smoothly as possible and avoid extensions and coin flips, I want to construct the bracket in a way that minimizes time zone differences between participants. Obviously I won't be cherry-picking individual match ups, but I'll try to have Americans play against other Americans, Europeans play against other Europeans, etc. in the early rounds.

I would like to see a list of Pokemon that may be used, just for convenience and reference (or maybe a few examples if a full list is too much).

About the bracket idea, I don't think that it would hurt to try out. Maybe have people post their GMT in their sign up post or something.

    I'll approve. (1/3)

Hi. I thought that this tour would have a limited resource pool, and I was sort of right but it was a lot bigger than I thought it was.
A list of some potentials (if not all) would be good though imo.
    Fine with the bracket idea
    2/3 Approved.

I honestly do not see this being in anyway balanced at all. There's a big powergap between the tiers, and a lot of extremely powerful pokemon have few to none of their checks in this meta.

    Rejected (1/2)

Yeah some mons definitely look problematic. What if I disallow Mega Evolutions?

    Ah.
After seeing the list I think Devo is right. Even with disallowing Mega Evolutions you still have an extremely limited pool of resources. I had thought that the pool was much bigger but I was mistaken.
I'm not entirely sure how it would look with 120/60 or whatever but I don't see it being much better, and 120/70 starts to defeat the point of the tour.
I won't change to reject without hearing what you think of changing the stat cutoff, but it's lookin' that way.

So instead of the static 50 and 120 cutoffs I tried using the difference between the highest and lowest stat. The list is a lot more fleshed out now and hopefully more balanced, too. One Pokemon that still stands out as problematic is Mega Mawile, especially because Heatran and Lando-T aren't legal in this metagame. I assume that it will be banned from OU by the time this tournament rolls around, but in the case that it isn't I will disallow its use in this tour.

I think this is a much better list, everything seems to have checks except MegaMaw, but yeah it's probably going to be banned by then anyway.
So failing someone pointing out something dumb that I didn't notice. Back to Approved 2/3
