@Raducan said that I should host a tournament a while back, so I decided to take the idea that I had for a tournament a bit over a year ago (here) and propose a generation six version of it. I'm just going to post what the Sign-Ups OP would look like if it were to be accepted since it was easiest to c/p the OP from last gen's sign-ups and alter things to fit this generation.

Pick Your Poison is an expression for picking between two detrimental things. (It's generally used in regards to picking an alcoholic beverage, but it can also be correlated to a lose / lose situation. Pick your Poison is similar to a Catch 22.)

This tournament will be played in the XY OU Tier and will entitle being forced to use specific play-styles while disallowing or restricting the use of certain moves and/or Pokemon within the Overused metagame.

Each entrant will pick three numbers, one through six, at the start of every round.

The first number picked will decide their mega evolution. For example, it could be: if you pick one, you must use Mega Charizard X. While if you pick two, you're forced to use Mega Venusaur. And so on and so forth.

The second number picked will forbid players from using a specific type / genre of move. An example would be: Picking one could mean No Entry Hazards (Stealth Rock, Spikes, Toxic Spikes, and Sticky wouldn't be allowed.) Then, two may be No Dragon Type Attacking (damaging) Moves. There are a plethora of unlisted possibilities for this one, so be ready for anything as I will be varying things quite a bit.

Finally, the third number chosen would disallow participants usage of a certain type of Pokemon. For example, picking one could mean No Using Fighting Type Pokemon or picking two may disallow use of Fairy Types. If the number you pick gives you the type of your mega-evolution, then you will still be able to use the mega, but nothing else of that type.

This Tournament will be on a first come, first serve basis - I'm expecting anywhere between 32 and 64 participants. Once I hit either of these numbers, I will post round one; however, if you still wish to join, you can be made a priority substitute. Each round will be 7 days, barring the first which will be longer depending on when in the week it starts so I can end it at the end of a weekend.

Ah, this idea is actually simple and neat. But your explanation is super long and makes it feel complicated.

I might consider re-tuning the first restriction, back in BW2 weather wars were a whole lot bigger than now (they're still big but I'm not 100% sure it's worth a whole restriction, especially based entirely on inducing abilities that are no longer permanent). But I'm not an OU expert so feel free to call my potential bullshit on that one.

Other than that it looks solid to me. Likely approval but I'd like to talk about the above.

I shortened the OP quite a bit. Essentially, I kept in the necessities and deleted all fluff while making sure it still made sense.

As for the weather, I agree - with the weakening of weather abilities, it's no longer as prominent in the metagame and it shouldn't be one part of this. I changed it to mega-evolutions. So, the first number will determine your mega evolution. I will try to keep it to viable Megas only, but almost all of them are viable, so this shouldn't be an issue.

Is this a good replacement or should I look for something else?

    Approved. (3/3)

I'll add it to the Tour Schedule at some point.
