Tropical Storm Modest (+Sp Atk, - Atk) -Thunder -Hurricane / Weather Ball -Heat Wave -Roost With it's new ability, Zapdos becomes a great special attacker and supportive mon. Thunder and Hurricane form a great dual stab combo, weather ball is a niche option, but bulky ground types will wall zapdos all day. Roost keeps Zapdos healthy through the match. Modest is the preferred nature as Tropical Storm will reduce speed in the opposing mons. Heat wave is to have a reliable answer to the likes of Ferrothorn/Metagross once Tropical Storm fades out. Zapdos realy likes trapper support such as Gothitelle to remove Blissey and Chansey that otherwise wall the set (though they can be haxed with parafusion hax). Rapid Spin or Defog support is aprreciated to keep Zapdos bulk intact

Some fun thoughts, regarding Pokemon who honestly aren't really all that hard to change. Mega Slaking Normal Truant>Anger Point HP: 150 ATK: 160>159 -1 DEF: 100>120 +20 Sp. ATK: 95>130 +35 Sp. DEF: 65 >110 +45 Speed: 100>101 +1 The ability isn't really all that useful, but that doesn't matter because Slaking's stats and movepool are good enough for it to do basically anything it really wants. Want a Special Attacker? You could probably pick a better Mega for it, since 130 isn't too impressive for a Mega without a damage boosting ability, but on the other hand you have virtually every coverage move under the sun. Want a wall? You got it, can wall both sides and do damage at the same time, and it has reliable recovery. And, of course, you can always go the straightforward beater route. The ATK redistribution to Speed isn't really necessary, but it would be funny, so I put it in. Mega Regigigas Normal>Fighting Slow Start>Clear Body HP: 110 ATK: 160>160 +0 DEF: 110>150 +40 Sp. ATK: 80>100 +20 Sp. DEF: 110>150 +40 Speed: 100>100 +0 Basically the same premise as Mega Slaking, with a couple of additions and a few small but crucial stat differences. For one, despite Regigigas's similar movepool, he cannot use special attacks nearly as effectively as Mega Slaking with his much smaller Sp. ATK boost, and his "walling" capabilities are greatly reduced by the lack of any reliable recovery, even Rest (Drain Punch is his best and only option). Also, the lack of that 1 point redistribution to Speed means that Regigigas may have it rough in Speed Wars. Nevertheless, with a type change to Fighting he gains STAB on Drain Punch and Power-Up Punch, and with Knock Off and massive bulk can either set up on or kill opponents fairly easily. He can be worn down eventually, especially with the many new Pokemon who edge out 100 nowadays, but he can easily take out a few opponents before he does. Incidentally, I dunno which one would be bulkier. Both now have insane bulk, which is mainly what I was going for--their ATK stats are probably about average for the offensively inclined Megas, and unlike many of those they don't have power boosting abilities along with it, so they'll depend a lot more on their bulk than before. Still, 160 (or 159) ATK is really damn high, so they don't have to leave everything to tanking. And one more, just for fun: Mega Probopass Rock/Steel>Electric/Rock Sturdy/Magnet Pull/Sand Force>Parental Bond HP: 60 ATK: 55>85 +30 DEF: 145>140 -5 Sp. ATK: 75>115 +40 Sp. DEF: 150>145 -5 Speed: 40>80 +40 When Probopass Mega Evolves, its nose becomes so powerful it becomes a sentient being. As can be seen, even with Parental Bond, Mega Probopass still won't be hitting that hard. But that's not why it has it. The damage boost is real nice, but the real goal is increasing the probabilities of secondary effects. The main benefactor is Discharge, which now has a 51% paralyze rate on top of its boosted damage; and Ancientpower, which goes from a terrible 10% chance of ridiculous omniboosts to a just-crazy-enough-to-work 19%. However, its ATK did get a boost too; you can take advantage of Bulldoze or Rock Tomb for a guaranteed halving Speed, Iron Head/Headbutt/Rock Slide for a 51% flinch rate, and a Parental Bond Explosion, which will still leave a dent even off that ATK. Volt Switch can then get some damage and switch in a Pokemon that's basically now guaranteed to outspeed the opponent. As far as damage goes, Mega Probopass won't be too terrible, but it certainly won't be overwhelming, and it'll certainly be amusing. As for the typing, Mega Probopass's defensive prospects are even shittier, so honestly I probably should be minmaxing this more. BUT I WILL RESIST THE TEMPTATION Incidentally, I have no idea how Parental Bond interacts with Rollout, but if Rollout doubles even further on the extra hit, that would be hilarious. On a totally random note, I never knew Probopass got Taunt O_o
Mega Vespiquen Bug/Flying→Bug/Fairy Pressure/Unnerve→Parental Bond 70 80→105(+25) 102→102 80→105(+25) 102→102 40→90(+50) After Mega Evolution, Mega Vespiquen rules over her subjects an with iron will. Some special male Combee also become "Hive Gaurdians" who Mega Vespiquen can telepathically control through the crystals on their heads. Vespiquen@Vespiquenite Ability: Pressure → Parental Bond EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Spe, 4 HP Nature: Jolly Attack Order Play Rough U-turn Heal Order One of the biggest drawings to Mega Vespiquen is not only Parental Bond, but the fact it can run either Physical, Special, or a Mixed attacking set. Bug/Fairy is a solid offensive typing and defensively affords it 5 weaknesses, 5 resistances, and 1 immunity. Mega Vespiquen also has natural bulk that while wasn't increased through evolution is solid and allows it to come in on a resist without having to take major damage. Anyway, the main focus of this set is to take full advantage of Mega Vespiquen's signature movepool. Attack Order is the best physical bug move in the game and has increased critical hit ratio. Which comes in handy with Parental Bond. Play Rough is secondary stab that gives Mega Vespiquen a high chance to lower the opponent's attack stat. U-turn stands out here, Parental Bond U-turn is an insane momentum grabber, crippling or atleast highly damaging the opponent allowing your partner to clean up is amazing. Heal Order is another one of Vespiquen's signature moves. It's a great recovery move since Vespiquen only has to level up to learn it rather than use a TM like for Roost. This is only scratching the surface of Mega Vespiquen's movepool Bug Buzz Air Slash Dazzling Gleam Power Gem Hidden Power Substitute Hone Claws Fell Stinger ((In retrospect a special set would probably be better lol.))

@Sub-Zero I know I haven't been the best about this either...but the Megas should ideally somehow change what the Pokemon does, at least in the original thread conception :P I mean, those Mega starters are literally the exact same as their non-Megas but stronger. @Beyoncé Megas only get +100 BST total, whereas the Megaquen currently has 120 from what I can tell. Cool idea though :D In retrospect, the previous Probopass probably should've come in 2 flavors; not gonna go through the whole format again, but something like... Parental Bond for both X: Rock/Ground type, 60/125/145/55/150/90 Y: Rock/Electric type, 60/55/145/125/150/90 Minmaxed for the X, if only a little, but owell. Makes them lovely mirror images of each other.
Mega Bellossom Grass Chlorophyll/Healer→Fairy Aura 75→75 80→60(-20) 95→100(+5) 85→139(+54) 100→100 50→111(+61) After Mega Evolving Bellossom gets huge boosts to power & speed. She retains single grass typing but gains Fairy Aura as an ability which gives her pseudo STAB on all fairy attacks she can learn. Which is poke holes in the enemies team. All of the Grass STABs have their advantages & disadvantages. Moonblast is key here because it's the attack benefiting from Fairy Aura. Nature Power is essentially just Tri Attack but is immune to Sucker Punch. Sleep Powder & Hidden Power are self explanatory. Moonlight let's Bellossom not get worn down.

I was looking at the Pokken fighting game thingy and noticed half the Pokémon had megas, so decided Suicune should get one. Tried to balance out the stat distribution where it wouldn't be too bulky or way too fast with that kind of power to throw around, since obviously Guts with 170 Attack shatters much of OU's walls. Giving it too much special attack enables it to draw on its special move pool to kill everything that can't be dealt with by its choice of physical moves. Sleep Talk sets outlast many a stall team while Slack Off allows it to keep going a bit longer against offense. Plus Sleep Talk without Rest makes it specifically a sleep absorber.

Not only would it create mind games galore with the typing change, but the power boost from activating Defiant (think Defog users. Lots of those available), and mega evolving at the right moment to gain Contrary boosts from Superpower. Combine that with 350 Speed, and you've got a fucking monster. Water/Steel and Water/Flying synergise very well too, because Steel's Ground and Fighting weaknesses are ruined by mega evolving and resisting, while holding off on Mega Evolution can let him sponge Rock moves too. Electric and Freeze-Dry are about the only worries, if played well. (If I've added too many new 'accommodation' moves, please let me know)
Mega Milotic Type: Water/Dragon Ability: Serene Grace HP: 95 Attack: 60 -> 60 (+0) Defense: 79 -> 99 (+20) Special Attack: 100 -> 140 (+40) Special Defense: 125 -> 145 (+20) Speed: 81 -> 101 (+20) Milotic @ Miloticite Trait: Competitive (Serene Grace) Nature: Timid EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 Def / 252 Spd - Hydro Pump / Recover - Ice Beam - Dragon Pulse / Recover - Scald Something like that.

Ability can be overriden by other abilities that affect priority, such as Gale Wings, Prankster etc. With a new ability and new stat spread, Mega Noctowl suddenly has a shitload more viability. Examples: Noctowl @ Noctowlite Trait: Insomnia -> Paradox EVs: 252 HP / 4 SDef / 252 Spd Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Air Slash - Roost - Whirlwind - Substitute / Toxic / filler With Paradox as its ability, and 306 Speed under its belt, it can also phaze things more or less instantly with Whirlwind. Faster opponents can still hit it, so it's not completely broken. The ability ruins priority attacks too, because anything slower than Mega Noctowl using a priority move will still go after it, and Sucker Punch will be basically useless while this little guy's on the field. It'd cause a lot of mayhem, potentially even breaking Noctowl due to how much mayhem will be caused. It's a relatively suiting ability too, with Noctowl basically being a clock. Dialga would be another 'mon fitting for this trait. (sorry if creating random abilities is a no-go. I just really wanted to do this. :3)

Flygon is such a jack of all trades that it was hard to figure out something new to do with it, so I thought I'd try making it something that can really only choose to do one thing, be an offensive powerhouse. What better way to do that than give it Boomburst with Aerilate? Might be broken, especially with that coverage, but it's awesome and totally fits that picture :+]

I am here to present Mega Eevee! :] Wanted it to be a SpA mon, I had the idea of making it have moonblast over hyper voice but w/e. I built it to be another one of those late cm sweepers in the game. I wanted its type to change and ofc its appearance when the seasons hit, but then I thought that if spring is grass/fairy then would summer be fire/fairy? No it will just be a retarded way of showing off Sawsbuck in that way. Anyway hope u enjoyed my 2 fav megas.
