Well over 100 bugs met their end here. -Gen 1 might be old, but Withoutatrace didn't forget it! A number of bugs that affected mechanics have been eradicated. -Challenge Cup level balancing was adjusted to change between generations, instead of always assuming latest gen. This will affect Gen 1 the most as the formula was different in accounting for the Special Stat. -Speaking of Challenge Cup, Arceus, Giratina, and Genesect will now properly display according to their items. Clients Updated -Gen 6 Sprites are now in use. They are simply a frame-grab from the animated model. As a result of the larger sprites, the (Old) Battle Window has been increased by 25%! -Avatar selection has been made easier thanks to SongSing. A catalog will display on your screen to make finding that perfect match. -Advanced Searching in the Teambuilder has been made more visible, and the Pokedex no longer gets covered with a black square! -Descriptions all over the simulator have been refined and updated by Wriggle Nightbug to account for changes or missed information. -Translations received updates, especially Chinese, thanks to turbedi and KalaShayminS. -Tooltips on both the new and old battle window have been tweaked to fix some bugs. Most significant is entry hazards being listed correctly and completely. -New Battle Window will now show exact time remaining when hovering over the timer. Challengers Approach -Diancie and Eternal Flower Floette have been released, along with their signature moves and all other signature or event moves, regardless of "release" status. -Symbiosis has been coded to actually function, finishing off the last part of Gen 6 that wasn't functioning. -Event moves have been added to many Pokemon. -Vivillon patterns can now be used! All patterns can be used, including Pokeball and Fancy. (Note: Pokeball and Fancy Vivillon do not have their own back sprite so it will just show as a normal Vivillon for now) Known Issues -Sprites aren't always moving on New Battle Window -Some sprites have really awkward boxes, shifting the Pokemon too far in a direction from the center point. -Substitute front is still rough around the edges. Thanks to @Fuzzysqurl @Withoutatrace for fixing 99% of bugs @SongSing and @TheUnknownOne added some new script features, but I can't remember them at the moment, so they'll have to post in this thread so I can update it in the OP :( If there's anything else new that's missed out, post here. Any issues, again post here. If there's any bugs to report, first make sure you're fully updated and on the main server before posting either here, or in the bug/fixes forum. Although the main server is currently a little outdated. Script stuff ANDROID IS NOW AVAILABLE Mainly just DB changes to allow for Diancie/Floette.
FInally, also in the new battle window the minimum stat includes no IVs. Not sure if you wanted it that way
I've noticed that on the teambuilder when you search for a pokemon, the white text in the stat bars is invisible unless the pokemon has enough of a given stat for the blue bar to cover the text e.g. Also some of the sprites look really funny when you first open the teambuilder (where you choose your trainer info and it displays your team on the right) because of how they have been resized to fit in that space I guess. Nothing major in this case though. Edit @Crystal Moogle : Yeah it seems to be the theme. It's just a bit funny since I was using the Classic theme. Same issue for Dark Classic, but Shoddy is fine (out of the default themes anyway)
The first part (or maybe even both) are probably issues with the theme, since my own theme shows the text fine. @Fuzzysqurl probably knows more, since I believe he edited that part.
Will the new version still be compatible with the themes that were made for the older ones? EDIT: Derp...I didnt see this coming. Spoiler But when I use a simple theme like "Shoddy" I'm actually able to use animated window. I've got to say, the new sprites for this...made me cry. Honestly, kudos. Spoiler
You have that problem because you're using another theme with the old battle backgrounds. If you want that to fix just copy the battlegrounds from Classic and put them in the theme's folder instead of the ones there.

I'll have to get another fix for this then. The Style Sheet is the thing that is messing up, not entirely the theme. Fusion has the text in the bar for example, Vista does not. This means that there's black text and black background for Dark Classic in Vista, but White text on White background for Fusion.
The script stuff I did was adding the battle functions Code (text): onBattleStarted: function(battleId, player1, player2, tier, mode) - mode is like singles/doubles Code (text): onBattleFinished: function(battleId, winner, loser, result) - result is forfeit (0)/win (1)/tie (2 or 3) also put avatars in the new battle window i guess this was removed??!?!?
I figured it out using the commit log, here's the list of changes: Client Two new battle events (similar to the server battle events): onBattleStarted(int id, int player1, int player2, string tier, int mode) onBattleFinished(int id, int winner, int loser, int result) New client.declineChallenge, declines a challenge. Accepts a challenge id as with the other xChallenge functions (void declineChallenge(int cId)) Player OS has been added to the UserInfo bindings (userinfo.os) Server New version(id), returns the player's client version. For example, 2402 for 2.4.2. See Shared/config.h in the source (CLIENT_VERSION_NUMBER). (int ScriptEngine::version(int id)) I might've missed something but I think this is it. Is there any way to change the XY sprites back to the BW ones? I might be in the minority but I preferred the small window+BW sprites to the big one+XY sprites. If there isn't an option for that, is there a link to the 2.4.1 download anywhere?
Eh Fuzzeh, I have the new battle window activated, and working, but when I use the doubles mode, it automatically goes to the old battle window, where it is obvious that it wont be animated.
if said sprites can be provided, I don't see why not. That will come along with the ORAS release, though, so. hopefully Lamperi will rise from the dead and build the mac client for us, but otherwise it won't come until someone comes along to build it.
That would be awesome if we had newer trainer sprites! And I also do hope Lamperi will build the mac client!
Fixed for next version at least. It will show White Text on Vista, XP, and Windows Stylesheets, but use the default color (The black/white mix) for Fusion. This way it is legible throughout all default Styles and Themes. There isn't and there won't be. Enjoy your outdated client
Great update! But as a Theme Maker I gotta ask, why was the color code option deleted from the Color Selector? Spoiler Yeah, I can work with the RGB values but sometimes it made it easier to just copy/paste the color code with #------.
Seconding that Eternal Flower floette doesn't show in-battle. Will there be something server-side to fix this?

Android is now updated to 2.4.4. If you managed to get an early version and it crashes on the teambuilder, that should be fixed now. The teambuilder should also have Diancie/Floette now as well.
