If you could change any aspect of competitive pokemon to make it more balanced/better (in your opinon) what would they be? I have a few: Scald/Discharge/Lava Plume bp reduced to 60, secondary effects dropped to 25% Confusion rate dropped to 25% U-Turn/Volt Switch - You have to pick what mon you go into before your opponent makes their move Hidden Power buffed back up to 70 Introduction of a Physical Hidden Power
Paralyzing/Confusion rate reduced to 25%. Depending on the amount of HP (base HP), the number of sleep turns would vary (bigger HP = more sleep turns). Hydro Pump/Fire Blast/Thunder back to 120 BP U-Turn and Volt Switch are somehow nerfer (could be a decrease in BP, could be an heads up call like Afro suggested) Hidden Power would be physical or special depending on the highest invested offensive stat.
Burn only causes 6.25% residual alongside dropping attack. Knock Off doesn't receive a 1.5 boost while hitting an item. Ice resists Dragon and Fairy. Steel resists Dark (but not Ghost). Water is weak to Poison. Stealth Rock's Damage is reduced by half. Bug immunity ability given to somewhat decent Pokemon (preferably at least one ground type~). Paralysis no longer stops a Pokemon from moving, but electrics can be para'd again. Defiant makes the Attack stat +1 after a drop, so an intimidate would still give +1, but defog would only give +1 as well. Rest cannot be used on the turn that you wake up. All 95% acc moves have 100% acc. Leech Seed and WoW have 90% acc. Rock Slide has 100% acc. EDIT: 1600 woo

If a Pokemon is 4x weak to SR it only takes 25% (all other SR damage stays the same) Can only lay 1 layer of Spikes Can only lay 1 layer of Toxic Spikes and they inflict Toxic Poison Greater Rapid Spin distribution and no Rapid Spin immunities (very important in pre-XY metagames) Moves that currently have a 10% chance of a secondary effect have that chance reduced to 0% (no more freezes or Thunderbolt paras!)
I'd say have copycat moves and abilities. For example: An ability like Intimidate that instead affects SpA. A move like Foul Play that rides off of the opponent's SpA. A status condition like Burn that lowers SpA. Stop nerfing Atk!
Knock Off is always 65 BP Ice is immune to Water U-turn and Volt Switch have 90 accuracy Sticky Hold prevents switches from U-turn and Volt Switch Full paralysis, confusion and attract rates down to 25% Steel resists Ghost again Psychic is super effective against Ghost Bug resists Dark Scald, Discharge, and Lava Plume are 70 BP Wide Lens increases accuracy by 20% Hidden Power back to 70BP and changes between physical or special depending on the pokemon's highest stat Stealth Rock always does 25% when a pokemon is weak (2x or 4x) to rock - otherwise unchanged Stone Edge is a contact move Tailwind has +1 priority Light Clay also extends duration of Trick Room, Magic Room, and Wonder Room to 8 turns There's an Assault Vest for the Defense stat Positive and Negative HP Natures are introduced Protect (etc)'s chances to fail are 50% on the second usage, 90% on the third usage, and 100% thereon. Hail gives a 50% defense boost to Ice types An ability that gives double speed in Hail is introduced Cloud Nine and Air Lock both eliminate all weather, Light Screen, Reflect, Trick Room, Magic Room, and Wonder Room.

All the hate on Conf/Paralyz/Attract :/ -Arena Trap and any other similar ability/move trapping VolTurners -Make SR last for, I dunno, 5 switch-ins -More Mold Breaker spread or some move to nerf Magic Bounce -More moves like Clear Smog (Removing foe's boosts + damage) -Poison being SE to Water -Steel resistances to Dark and Ghost back -Make Knock Off 60 BP and remove the Item boost -Make Will-O 75% acc again
