Correct if I'm wrong, but wasn't there a Chess theme on the mafia channel long ago? If there was, could somebody possibly give me the code? I'd like to check it out and see how it worked out. If there never was a Chess theme, then please let me know!
Eerie. I just started the scraps of a chess theme earlier today. Idk if it's been done already, but I'd be interested to know as well, so I could save myself the trouble.
There was a Chess theme like 4 years ago. I don't remember much, but at that time there was only a few abilities available (not even convert existed yet), so it was quite basic.
Ok, thanks. I was thinking about starting to work on a Chess theme and just wanted to clarify that. The ideas I have, however, are pretty convert heavy and would probably be very difficult to code, and even flavoring could be a challenge. I'll start brainstorming some ideas tomorrow. Also @Whereabouts Unknown, perhaps we could make a chess theme together? A collaboration, maybe. Just a thought.

Interesting. I was already considering the mafia should be Checkers. White vs Black chess pieces would probably turn out clanwarish. And Chess vs Checkers just makes sense. The second one, however, looks chaotic. I can't tell what the purpose of most roles are. Since there's no roles list I have no idea what the intention was. What are anyone's thoughts on a SI-esque setup with King as centerpiece? Everyone knows you lose if the King dies, so, King dying would be an automatic loss for the village. Pawns would have a Protect system similar to bunkers, except with suicide chances. The King would also act like Keith in AoT by putting PRs on the board. So, village is made up entirely of pieces that think they are Pawns. However, the King can use various commands to activate PRs. (These roles would appear as their active role on the Roles List so King would know whom he could advance.) If you were the Queen, you would convert after the night the King used /Queen and become a Samurai or w/e. The King would get connected to these new roles pretty fast, so he would also be pressed to decide if Pawns should try protecting the Queen as well, or to save themselves to increase the village's longevity and preserve any PRs. It would probably be best to activate the Queen first just so she doesn't die Protecting the King as a Pawn. Assuming the Queen should be the most potent PR. And Checkers would just be basic mafia. They can aim for the King to force Pawns to protect or try to pick off PRs and/or kill Pawns while others possibly die Protecting the King. Probably a lot worse in practice than it sounds in theory, but that's one idea I had.
I'd like to put my 2 cents in. I like Chess. It'd be fun to have a Chess theme but the brunt of it sounds tough. There's only 6 chess pieces and 16 chess pieces on one side so The games may be small. I don't like checkers. in fact I hate it. plz dont make it chess vs. checkers.

Bishops are PLs, though some of them are fake (their PLs are dummys which send the PL message but don't block). Knights are revenge killers. Every 2 nights they can /Sentry someone to revenge any kills on them. I haven't cleaned up this code yet, it needs an OnDeath revert etc. Watch would probably work fine. Rooks are BGs for now, nothing interesting here. Queen is a Samurai, yay. King has 50 votes. Meanwhile Checkers mafia has goons which are standard plus a King with a 50 vote to match the Chess King. Candlestick is Kefka. (Clue) And that's it for now. Just a drawing board sketch. Feel free to change anything, or scrap it altogether.
As Miki Sayaka said this is only a draft, we will be editing these help messages and adding a few more roles, and we even hinted something in his post *wink wink*
