Hey guys, so I recently found out about this website, and have enjoyed playing. But as of right now I only have version 2.0.07, and whenever I go to download the recent update, it displays the attached file when I try to open it up. I checked my Mac for updates but it says there are none. Does this mean that my Mac is just too old for the XY update? Screen shot 2014-04-25 at 11.27.03 PM.png

Are you using Mac OS X? If you aren't try downloading mavericks on your mac.

I had a similar problem with upgrading, and downloading Mavericks actually did solve it for me. As you'll see in my post (which I didn't very eloquently explain how I figured it out) Lamperi (who may or may not be the one in charge of the Mac things) said that the new client works on Lion and Newer, so you may need to upgrade your OS.

I downloaded Mavericks and I got this message that said "Pokemon-Online" can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the Mac App Store and identified developers.

^does that mean I just need to change my preferences?

I got it! If anyone else has the same problem on Mavericks, go to System Preferences-->Security and Privacy and there should be a button at the bottom saying Open Anyway under the general tab

Thanks to everyone else for all your help, I really appreciate it. hope to see you guys on there to battle
