Feeling generous and allowing everyone until midnight to get their votes in for full set. (89 min from now) EDIT: On second thought, been WAY too lenient! Gonna update in a bit.
As the day draws to a close, the gang groups up on RudeStyle in HD , destroying the thing with great force. Its red blood coursed through the streets and, interestingly enough, one could make out what looked like AZ's Floette across town if one were to look hard enough. But... what is that? A second sun? Now, for the cycle. As I stated earlier, this game would fall to a 2v1 day phase in which village would be able to vote against the Mafia. As I thought about it, I almost decided to flip the script and make it a night cycle, allowing the Mafia to pick their opposition. I decided this may have been too much of a power though, thus why I left it like it is. Current jury members in case of a 1v1 situation: @Veteran Padgett, @NotMafia, @ZZZX, @Hannah, @Fiery Espeon, @RudeStyle in HD, and whatever villager gets voted out next if applicable. Day 6 ends May 23rd at 10PM Central!
Epik, where are you?!?!? At this point in time it's a 50/50, if you vote Asca it's a 2/3 chance we'll win without needing the help of the dead.
Well the inspector is still alive, so there's that. Epik, you should look at my post where I voted Rude if you want any persuasion from me.
Nope, gonna leave it open for the additional hour and 20 minutes this cycle has left before I randomize the vote.
The group of remaining detectives wandered around town, frantically attempting to find Mayor Pelipper. After a good hour, Lapras spoke up. "Hey guys, over here!" shouted Ascarotte, the two fully evolved starters soon catching up. The sight was horrible: While one could describe it as a Hypnochu, it looked much, MUCH worse. Pelipper's jaw was cracked in half, blood all over its once-white body. "Mayor Pelipper!!!" cried the Empoleon named ajhockeystar, rushing over to Pelipper's side. "Beauty... kills... *coughs up blood* all..." were the final words of the second dead Mayor, collapsing right after. The Empoleon looked over himself, then at Feraligatr. Both gave each other a look that was like "It's not you, so...", followed by Empoleon's wings glowing and Feraligatr's claws growing. "So, it was you all along Ascarotte... I should have known. We're not on a coast, yet you only floated." calmly stated aj. "Oh please, like you two could kill me anyway." boldly stated the sea faring Pokemon. "I took down a WALRIEN. Do you know how hard that is? I had to learn some random ass move called Thunder just to do it, and man it sucks when it misses... whatever, I'm getting out of here." Ascarotte began to swim away, only to be chases down by the other two. Epikhairz leapt up and chomped down hard on its ear. "LET GO!" the Lapras shouted, immediately using Thunder on the Feraligatr. However, the two jumped out of the water, Lapras electrocuting itself to death. And thus died Ascarotte , the Mafia that choked in the end. And with that, congratulations to the village! Overall, despite inactivities, the game was well played. I understand I hardly made deadlines and such but I was sick and attempted to keep up. The 3rd game will be announced at a later time with a teaser tag and picture along with an updated scoreboard. Congrats @ajhockeystar and @Epikhairz, thanks for playing again everyone and I hope I see y'all soon!
mafia losed when both me and hannah decide to cross-fire x.x wp asca btw, gj glad to be your teammate
In the next Mafia, how will things play out when the beings of the heart and soul go head to head and everything has a different mechanic? We will find out soon enough! Different mechanics for this game: -Daykills will be in place instead of nightkills that must be used within thd first two realtime days of the day sequence. The nights will still be in place because the inspector needs to inspect and everyone should be analyzing the thread. In terms of hints, the CoG is still active and when a team daykills, a feather will fall with a single letter on it, pertaining to a Pokemon. -Next game's size will be bigger, with a size of 28. -The next game will work in a couplet styling. All of you will receive one person that is on your side, but if one of you is to die, the other will too. This will accommodate for the large game size so the game lasts roughly the same amount of time. The coupling affects the Mafia as well. (20 Village (w/ 1 Insp) v 4 Red Mafia v 4 Orange Mafia). Any questions or concerns? Contact me! Otherwise I'm just going to plan out when I'm going to create the new leaderboard and then create the next thread. Once again thank you for playing everyone, this next one will hopefully run better.
a bit late comment but I wasn't a big fan of your endgame mechanics - in a 1v1 mafia v village situation the win should typically go to the mafia. while that's not strict procedure I feel a lot of people were expecting that so mafia probably played with that mechanic in mind. having effectively two chances to win the game at LYLO gives the village a huge advantage which is pretty unwarranted imo re: your next game, 28 is a big number, even with the pairing style making it effectively 14. not sure how much activity is going to come out of summer, but historically there's been a problem with inactive people which makes big games very difficult to play efficiently
Well done, you pesky kids :p I do admit I feel a bit hard done by the endgame mechanics too. Given that the village lynched wrongly four times in a row, I feel it shouldn't have been so easy for them to win. Yes, I didn't read what you posted properly, but I never would have expected three lynch opportunities with four players to happen. At that point, I didn't think there was any feasible way for me to win, especially with the inspector alive. But thanks for hosting, twas fun
Thinking about that, I'm going to try my best to pick numbers that would work, or at least flip-up that mechanic and base it more on the server. I'm taking in all the criticism and I'm just about to have the new leaderboard done, so yeah.
New leaderboard! I just realized I never put this in the OP, although it was a mechanic I thought I had kept there. Remember the x-fire between Hannah and DracoNinja? The two people that submitted those kills, Trace Of Life and DracoNinja, will receive two points each. As for the village, biiig profits! With 20 points total, ajhockeystar gets an additional 2 from the original 10-10 split, so the overall split is 12 in ajhockeystar's direction and 8 for Epikhairz. The new leaderboard now looks like this! 1: ajhockeystar - 16 points 2: Epikhairz - 10 points T-3: aRid DrEaM - 4 points T-3: Windblown - 4 points T-5: Beast - 2 points T-5: Master12345 - 2 points T-5: Veteran Padgett - 2 points T-5: Rioku - 2 points T-5: DracoNinja - 2 points T-5: Trace Of Life - 2 points
