Here's a really good suggestion that should be implemented. Update the mac client. This mac client is garbage. Every time I open someones trainer info, I crash. Sometimes when I click somewhere the thing freezes up and I crash. Also I hate how I have to keep delaying certain tournaments because not all the Pokemon's moves are up to date with the Pokemon. I have a windows desktop but I hate how whenever I'm away from it (weekends) I gotta use the mac client on my mac laptop and it's annoying the crap outta me. I don't want to have to install some software to run windows programs on my mac computer. Do something about this please?

Well, there is only one developer for Mac - Lamperi.

Unfortunately, we do have lives outside of this, even though I wish I didn't.
Although I do know the troubles that Mac have, and as I wish I could help, another developer able to program for Mac will have to come forward or patience will just have to be key. /:

If you want to get the client before lamperi can compile the mac version, you could try compiling it yourself. You'd even have a version that most likely is ahead of the currently released client! Here's the step-by-step guide to compiling PO for mac. It even tells you what you need to install to compile!

Although you're opposed to it, apart from compiling the whole thing yourself to make it compatible, you'll probably need something to run the Windows version on the Mac until either Lamperi returns or someone else steps up to the plate to properly update it.

I've yet to try actually compiling it the way Sulcata mentioned, but rather I've recently been experimenting with Wineskin Winery to run Pokemon-Online, and while I've been able to successfully run it on Mavericks, there's still a few problems/concerns I've been having at the moment:
    - Using the new battle window, even for spectating battles, makes the client crash. I've yet to test it on battle replays, but I have a feeling it will produce the same results. The new battle window crashes replays as well; normal replays are fine.
    - A separate window with a small blue pokeball logo simultaneously opens up, although just closing that window doesn't seem to produce any negative effects so far.
    - It occasionally either opens with no images loaded or it doesn't open at all with the error -10810, but the other times loads up fine. If it consecutively messes up when opening, I just Test Run it instead with no problems.
    - Command keys don't work, but rather it only accepts control keys; for example, instead of using Command+C and Command+V to copy and paste, you instead have to copy and paste all PO-related works using control+C and control+V respectively.
    - Side-scrolling using a MacBook's trackpad in the Players/Battles/Channels selects whatever area the mouse was, but in a questionable way. For example, side-swiping a player's name opens up their trainer info, but depending on how hard you side-swipped that area, you could either open a single window or 20+ of the same window.[/HIDE]

Despite all of those problems, it's still probably better than the current Mac client so long as you aren't trying to record battle replays. If anyone is interested in trying this version on the Mac, whether to solely play or to help improve upon it, I can either provide the steps required for run it or attempt to upload the whole Wineskin wrapper containing the PO client on mediafire, dropbox, or something like that.

I have updated the Mac client to 2.4.1 in the past few days. However, I know of the problems regarding the new battle window, music and random bugs with closed dialogs crashing the program.
