    So, in your opinion, it's better to have a broken strategy instead of try to encourage players to think and organize themselves?

    Except the person can just counter said claim? The dummy action will allow for both the 70% mechanic to work alongside removing the "kill-to-the-right" stigma. Effectively, it takes care of the main issues with one stone.

    @Ice I deduct you agree with me , that it is vanilla with a timer. Good , some progress. Also, Please do not rephrase it in a way entirely different to what I initially meant ._. I have already asked Roild on the server numerous times on how to counter the shoot to your right Strategy . (Checking for pm logs , will update if I find them) . What I did mean is , I do not see the dummy kill fixing the problem . Sure it stops the shoot to your right strategy , But what we essentially would have is everyone being able to kill or or fake a kill . So everyone can shoot , everyone has a vote of 1 and I do not see how the mafia can differentiate the underdog since both roles have the same actions , (kill and vote) . So they have to deduct it purely based on their speech , which is literally the same as vanilla , and they then lynch him . The only thing which differentiates both is that the "Town" can nightkill one of the suspects (The only thing I find different is as in majority lynching (in vanilla), majority killing, only it's 70%). I just am disappointed that it would become similar to vanilla bar one extra feature essentially being you can lynch twice , but you have a timer
    @Joey THE BLUE HURTS MY EYES .They can also counterclaim saying "I did shoot him" "He is lying" etc . All I am saying is , the shoot to right strategy is not broken. Many players are also like screw it , I want to kill , wont follow the trend , and underdog also needs to be smarter and couterclaim back. It is not foolproof , but hey , if it was, then underdog would win all the time.
    Also , this is all theory in my part and most likely it may fix everything on the server . because

    No, I don't agree with you on that part.

    If for you all it takes to be Vanilla is to depend on scumhunting, then you should try to learn what the term Vanilla actually refers to.
    This theme has a lot to offer different from Vanilla. For starters, the bad guys (Underdog side) have to pay attention to the game. It's not like Vanilla where you can simply let Villagers confuse other Villagers, if the Underdog does nothing they will be easily found.
    Second, it does not only require scumhunting skills, it requires coordination. It's not like a voting phase where you can win a lynch if no one counters, or where people will simply bandwagon the first vote. If you can't get people to hit the same person without having the bandwagonning effect, then you will waste a lot of time.
    Third, the timer by itself is already a good enough feature. So far, the only theme that tried it before was Survivors, which had a hard time mostly because it required a minimum of 13 players, and even then, but when it was actually started, the timer effect added a lot to the theme. Also, the timer (along with some of the other features) will force players to work quickly instead of waiting for the "No vote at 4" situation to get a 33% chance of winning.

    Lastly, the "Shoot to the right" IS a broken strategy. You say someone can try to say "no, I was not shot" to frame the person to their left, but then even if the rest of the players believe you and mislynch the other guy, they will notice that you lied right after the lynch, so you are obviously the next target. How do you get out of that situation then?
    It's not broken because it's simply hard to counter, it's broken because you only need to do it half-right to get good effects.

    Exactly what Ice's second paragraph says thus why the dummy kill is needed. Kill-to-the-right is ridiculously simple and easy to track where the chain fucked up. This is why the former non-peak of Fantasy was an issue because it was kill-to-the-right before being altered to an actual non-peak version. If anything, this'll require people to listen to each other during the night, which is the point of Mafia in a sense, to work together.

    Are you really suggesting that this theme should go against one of the fundamental ideas of Mafia while using a broken system?

    Mmm Ice I do not really see how a fake kill fixes everything. Might work out , also your reference to vanilla discredits yourself , not bothering to reply to that e_e .
    Joey I couldn't make sense of what you said , was too hyperbolic ,made zero sense to me ( Am I dumb?) , but yeah I realize we should try out the dummy kill on server before kicking it out , but many on the server have shared my sentiment that it does become too similar to vanilla. Eh , when I am wrong , I just am. If it works out I'll be glad .

    If you don't want to discuss this anymore but still disagree with the suggestions given, then you have only 2 options.
    1. If you think the "Shoot to the Right" strategy is not broken, then argument why/show how to beat it.
    2. If not, you should give other ideas to solve that problem, or at least give feedback to help the author at solving that issue.

    The thing is, it doesn't actually matter at this point if you and some other players think this will end as Vanilla or not. The top priority now is making the theme work properly, so just saying "No, it will become vanilla" is not going to help, especially because the theme giving a Vanilla feeling is not even a problem at all.

    I'd rather you re-read what I said.
    I did say the dummy kill should be tried out and outright saying it was bad is not correct (that's on me). And no , I have no idea how to fix it , but I can almost certainly say that what is being discussed as a solution will not solve anything . So rather than disagreeing , I am just merely skeptical about it. And yes I have run out of things to say , when the dummy kill is implemented , I'd be eager to play a game and see how it changes things. I see getting lucky rands/kills playing an integral part in the strategy to be employed

    Oh words. Lots of them. Anyway, at first some people came to me and said that shooting to the right would find the underdog. I said that it would waste a night which is precious in this game. I also said that trusting a person who did that wouldn't always happen. I still see that the shooting thing is going on, so I'll try to implement the fake kill to see how it works.

    I'd rather you bolded the right parts.

    The thing is that not always that strategy is used since most players didn't realize it was possible. But on the log I posted, we only needed half the players doing it to get all the Underdog, and we even managed to pull that successfully by starting it N2, so wasting a night is not that big of a deal when you have 5 nights to find 2 Underdog.

    I don't see the theme being too "vanilla" as a problem. There are already themes on the server (i.e. lyncher, vengeful, and jungle) where the village only has randing power, but each theme has a mechanic that makes it unique. I would also like to point out that the QC most likely did not have the dog confirming method in mind when they gave an approve/test. Adding the dummy messages would make the theme to be what was accepted by QC.

    Possible it is possible i guess, if instead to poison the mafia roles the curse of Underdog could transform him into a role with "winifdeadroles" like Kuja so to win automatically when the countdown reaches 0.
    But as Roild said, it is not necessary because after all the spam messages are all at the end of the game.

    The error is that it's not explained that works only from the second night. It's right that he cannot /fool night 1, because mafia cannot use their attack too during the first turn.

    48 seconds for a night where no one can do any night action is way too much.

    Also:
    Follow Shazan's suggestion, please. I don't think wasting time to count how many hits you need benefits the theme.

    Night 1 automatically receives extra 10 seconds, but if you add "night1" to "ticks", you can set the specific duration for the first night (and only the first).

    Also shouldn't there be no ties? I played a game where we killed the underdog on the final night, but for some reason everyone died. It also looks like 2 people died from being shot, even though one of them wasn't shot at all.

    D1, ax died. Mafia converted to mafia3-. and all supposed to die on n4? At n1 is 3 nights to live. Idr semantics.

    N2, no death (3 kills not enough)

    D2, pichi died. mafia2- forms.

    n3, no deaths.

    d3, no vote

    n4, xenon died. He was underdog, but underdog is only set to convert all mafia1- into mafia1 to reset poison. Since they were still mafia2-, it wouldn't and didn't happen. If the second/only underdog dies, I think it may work to reset everyone's poison anyway, regardless of w/e. Although I'll only go as far as v4s. If you tie earlier on somehow, you all suck.
    Anyway, first person died from poison. All the others converted but it just wouldn't matter and it made that weird looking thing. No problem though. Just going to add the shit.

    I must also add secondary forms so that the game can continue in case first underdog dies and blah blah blah, allowing one more knight to kill. I forgot to earlier.
    ^ May have been drunk when I said this. I don't remember what I meant.

    Fixed solo underdogs now though. Hopefully that was everything I meant.

    I've seen people relying on the poison count to clean someone. Could you add a poison message to the underdogs or something? There would be no point in asking about the number of days left if the underdogs knew as well.

    I think I did, or at least half assed it. I was meaning to add it to their help2 (Mafia will have X nights left tonight.) just n1 or something.

    The underdog *does* know the poison count, but it's not as specific as the mafia. For example, after n1 the mafia will receive a message saying "You have ___ days to live". In the underdog's role description, it will say "You will strike in ____ nights". So the underdog technically can know the poison count as long as they're paying attention, though it could be clearer like what Roild suggested.

    Mind you, people asking others what the 17th (or any other number) word in their role description is (usually in vanilla/SI) to "clean" them isn't a good mechanic for mafia either, at least in my opinion.

    I agree. I dislike people having to do the numbered word. It is the same as a botquote and is pointless to the game's real intent. I am only adding all of these clauses and extra things to keep the game as evenly... knowledgeable for every member of every team. The underdog now has a help2 that says "Mafia have x night(s) to live" which is going to be what the mafia will see at night just to get that annoying "DERKADERKAICLAIMPOISONEDIMUSTBECLEAN" out.

    I still say Night 1 should be shorter. There are no actions to be done during N1, so players will already focus on talking, and standby is already slightly longer. 38 seconds of nothing happening is not necessary.

    Bold bit is the most important. Technically I won this but only due to some significant misplaying by town—I claimed to be one of two players to target one of the townies over n2 (assuming 2/4 =/= night-lynch), but said townie only got the message once because I couldn't fake it. The underlined part didn't matter so much because some of the town people said "dying in 2" at the start so I could have figured out which one was true (had I noticed the second lol), but still the first one should get removed.
