Hiya PO! I decided to make a RMT again because I tried playing XY OU but it was so complicated with all the changes so I decided to go back to BW2 OU. In my eyes Sun and Sand are two of the most annoying types of teams in the metagame. I've always seen Rain as an offensive type of team because of all the water sweepers running around. Anyways the sun team...

    Burned

    At a Glance

    In Depth
    [IMG]
    Vileplume (Ninetales) (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Drought
    EVs: 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 Spd
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Flamethrower
    - Will-O-Wisp
    - Sunny Day
    - Roar

Nothing beats stall Ninetales. With high Sp Def. and great speed, it makes a perfect Will-O-Wisp user. Also despite its Fire-type it is a great wall against Politoed in most conditions. Flamethrower is a basic STAB move, good power, and perfect accuracy. Will-O-Wisp is what makes Ninetales great, which can stop many threats dead in their tracks. Sunny Day is specifically for Politoed, so I can use Sunny Day after a switch in, but I must be wary of ScarfToed. Roar is a phaze move that Ninetales gets, good for swapping potential special threats.

Manectric (Dugtrio) (M) @ Focus Sash
    Trait: Arena Trap
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
    Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
    - Memento
    - Earthquake
    - Reversal
    - Stealth Rock

Dugtrio is good because he is fast. 120 base speed is two thumbs up good, and when put on a Pokemon like Dugtrio is even better. Dugtrio is my counter to Tyranitar which can trap him, and OHKO with 1 HP Reversal (thats where the Sash comes in) and 2HKO with Earthquake. Stealth Rock is obvious, and Memento is kind of like a bonus. In cases where I'm going to lose Dugtrio, I might as well faint with an outcome. Works really well with Choiced mons which in some cases forces them to switch out.

    Fearow (Xatu) (M) @ Leftovers/Rocky Helmet
    Trait: Magic Bounce
    EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spd
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Thunder Wave
    - Roost
    - U-turn
    - Heat Wave

I can't decide between Rocky Helmet or Leftovers. Xatu is good since it provides a counter to Stealth Rock, and since 3 of my Pokemon take 25% or more damage from it, Magic Bounce is helpful. Thunder Wave is a troll move, good for crippling. Roost is obvious, for recovery. U-Turn is in some cases for damage but is primarily for switching on paralyzed mons while causing damage. U-Turn has proven to be quite helpful for me too like 2HKOing Alakazam and stuff. Heat Wave is AMAZING in sun. It OHKOs Scizor regardless, and 2HKOs a bunch of other stuff. I really can't decide between Lefties or Rocky Helmet. Xatu is physically defensive and it has recovery, but Lefties is good overall.

Tyranitar (Venusaur) (M) @ Life Orb
    Trait: Chlorophyll
    EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
    - Growth
    - Giga Drain
    - Hidden Power [Ice]
    - Earthquake

Venusaur is GREAT on every sun team. It can fill plenty of roles, like Seeder and Sweeper. One thing that is different about this set is it is mixed. MixedSaur is something I don't see too often but it works great. EQ is great because it takes out Heatran. Heatran walls Venusaur in every way possible if Saur lacks EQ. Heatran takes .25% damage from Grass and Ice moves, and is immune to Fire and Poison moves. The only 4 types of moves I've seen on Venusaur. EQ handles that well. After Growth in Sun, EQ will OHKO Heatran under pretty much every situation. Giga Drain is for obvious STAB, and HP Ice is mainly for Dragons but necessary for Flying mons.

    Banette (Genesect) @ Choice Scarf
    Trait: Download
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
    Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
    - U-turn
    - Thunderbolt
    - Explosion
    - Iron Head

As I was making this team, I realized I lacked some hard-hitting physical attackers, so here they are! Genesect. Genesect is a controversial Pokemon because of its type and stats. Steel and Bug has always been looked at as a bulky combo. I mean really when I think combos like that I think of Forretress and Scizor and things like that. Like when I think of the Water Ground combo I think bulky mons too. Swampert, Quagsire, Gastrodon. Anyways Genesect has great stats. Dual 120 attacking stats make it a great mixed attacker, and it's 99 Speed is good too. The speed stat gets a bit annoying at times since you can never outspeed the long and growing list of base 100 speed mons. U-Turn is mandatory on almsot every Genesect set especially Scarf sets as it is a good scout move, and it is a strong move in general. Thunderbolt is a filler for the usual Ice Beam, since I needed a Water killing move. Explosion is a bit shaky, but handy in do or die situations, also it is unexpecting which is a great attribute in these games. Iron Head is purely physical STAB.

Purugly (Infernape) (M) @ Life Orb
    Trait: Iron Fist
    EVs: 180 Atk / 76 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
    - Overheat
    - Close Combat
    - Hidden Power [Ice]
    - Thunder Punch

Last but certainly not least, I have Infernape. Every sun team needs a Fire sweeper, and Infernape gets the job done. A 108 base speed work with Infernapes moves, which are kinda hit and run moves. Overheat wrecks in the Sun. A STAB 140 base power sun boosted move doesn't leave a small mark on any Pokemon (besides Chansey). Close Combat is another great STAB move capable of OHKOing threats to this team like Tyranitar and Heatran. HP Ice is for Dragons most importantly Dragonite. Thunder Punch hits Gyarados and Water mons in general. Life Orb provides that extra boost for OHKOing mons. Overheat and Close Combat should be able to OHKO anything that takes x2 from it.

    Conclusion

Genesect is banned from generation 5 overused.

Also, this is oddly similar to this team. However, Lavos's team, as you can see, has a few different sets and uses Victini instead of Infernape.

Regardless, this team isn't even allowed in the BW OU tier.

I'd put something like Dragonite over Genesect since Genesect is banned if you want to actually be able to use it.

Oh I always thought Genesect was unbanned, maybe I haven't been paying attention to the tiers '-' And Dragonite does sound like a good replacement for the team, as all teams can fit a strong Dragon-type in. And as for the simillar teams, I had no idea lol. Me and a friend put this team ago just yesterday, I'll try to change it up somemore.

    The guidelines state:
Regardless, the team is alright if you find a reliable Genesect replacement.

Also, in response to MewtwoHidden, using Dragonite over Genesect leaves the team extremely weak to dragon types and without a steel type which is arguably a necessity in OU. (I might consider using CBDnite + Flame Charge Tran > Genesect + Infernape, though. Simpily leaving the team without a steel type is a bad idea.)

At first I had Magnezone, but then I realized I had too many Special Attackers. Do you have a good idea for a replacement for one of my special attackers?

You could always use something like Scarf Jirachi over Genesect, since it's banned in Gen 5.
    Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
    Trait: Serene Grace
    EVs: 56 HP / 252 Atk / 200 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Fire Punch / Healing Wish / Trick / Thunder Punch
    - U-turn
    - Iron Head
    - Ice Punch
I like this set because it hits fairly hard, and is still bulky-ish enough to take some hits. The Speed investment is enough to outpace Jolly Dragonite after a Dragon Dance, and then the rest is thrown into HP and Attack, with Adamant to hit as hard as possible. With that one move slot, I can't really tell which of those moves would be the most helpful, all have their niches. Fire Punch lets you get past things like Ferrothorn, and also gets a Sun boost. Healing Wish can come in great use if late-game you need to heal something up to win. Trick is a general useful move to cripple walls. And Thunder Punch can hit Gyarados, and your team is a bit weak to a well-played one. Hope I helped some. ^-^
