    Here we go again!

Mass damage calculations, featuring all OU Pokémon as well as various defensive boosts!

    Blissey to Skarmory:
    link 1

    Snorlax to Zapdos:
    link 2

Features every OU mon in GSC tanking attacks from every OU mon, 50% of all BLs or so and some select UUs. Generous numbers of defensive Curse boosts are applied for some Pokémon.

Rhydon's not OU to my knowledge, so I put it as well as the other BLs/UUs on hold.

Smogon says it's OU. The PO list doesn't distinguish. Jorgen's list puts it above Blissey.

My list is based on Mount Silver tiers which distinguish between OU, BL and UU. Their tiers are by far the ones most up to date - for all I know, Smogon might have set Rhydon as OU during the time of the HP Electric ban (back then Rhydon was absolutely OU, now not so much).

    http://mount-silver.proboards.com/thread/9/gsc-tiers

    OU
    Blissey
    Cloyster
    Dragonite
    Exeggutor
    Forretress
    Gengar
    Heracross
    Jolteon
    Machamp
    Marowak
    Miltank
    Misdreavus
    Nidoking
    Raikou
    Skarmory
    Snorlax
    Starmie
    Steelix
    Suicune
    Tyranitar
    Umbreon
    Vaporeon
    Zapdos

I don't make the tiers. I've never used either of them.

Yeah they're both on the border between BL and OU really, similar to mons like Heracross and Pgon2. They're BLO-Us, if you will.

I'm kinda surprised heracross and quagshire aren't used more. They just seem to counter everything I like using.

Ayup. Skarmory is a giant pain for anything relying on Bug or Ground STAB to deal damage. Even more of a pain for Hera thanks to Drill Peck's OHKO.

But it's not just that. Hera's also walled rather well by Zapdos (which is EVERYWHERE). Quag has, to be blunt, bad stats, so it's kinda dead weight outside of its role in countering HP Legends.

Heracross is also walled by Gengar and Steelix (depending on its set), Miltank regardless of set, and more importantly, even its good match-ups aren't very tidily won. He just doesn't have high enough highs to justify his general mediocrity.

Fair enough. Can't anything that's walled by skar/steelix just run hp fire?

Most such things have horrible Special Attack. Heracross has 178 special attack for example.

Skarmory and Steelix, while hardly spectacular in the SpD department, can tank HP Fire from things with low SpA. Only things with a high SpA to start with (like Exeggutor) or things that get Fire Blast or Flamethrower (like Snorlax) can cover Steels that way.

Note that Skarmory (but not, in general, Steelix) can be beaten on the physical side with Curse + Roar + a STAB move that's only 2x resisted or a non-STAB move that's neutral. This is how Tyranitar/Rhydon/Rock Slide Steelix/Kangaskhan sweeps work.

Exeggutor with HP Fire is kind of a neat thing to hit Skarmory with. Forretress too but a lot of people that I've played seem to scout for it, so it gets kinda tough deciding if I should HP Fire if they're in, since both mons usually have STAB moves (Skarm always does, Forretress sometimes) that really hurt Exeggutor.

Btw upload the power of Victreebel, Isa faced it

The spreadsheet literally doesn't have the space to include another mon :(

Took me a while to notice this since I barely use either, but Golem's and Nidoking's Earthquakes do not deal 0 damage to Misdreavus.

Skarmory at +1 has 1.5x Def, not 2x as your spreadsheet seems to show.

EDIT: Also Thunder Misdreavus is a thing.

Updated Missy calcs, fixed Skarmory defense stat, but won't add Thunder Misdreavus. It's a hassle to insert it into 40 different spreadsheets at the proper place. It's not TOO different from Zap Cannon damage either way...

Thunder can 3HKO Suicune and guarantees a 2HKO on Skarm, both of which Zap Cannon misses out on (and beating both of those is the main reason Thunder Missy is a thing).

I'm not saying it isn't a relevant calc - what I am saying is that it's too much effort for me to put in compared to the overall gain. If someone can convince me that this sheet is still used frequently by others than Magic, I'd consider adding it.

Gengar's Fire Punch is super-effective vs. Heracross, not neutral.

I believe Gengar's DynamicPunch and Explosion vs. Tyranitar/Ttar+1/Ttar+2 are out of whack (should be x4/x0.5, right now it looks like x2/x1).
