The thing is Water/Dark is a great dual offensive coverage and you don't really need a 3rd type move - Azumarill, Whimsicott, Poliwrath, Sharpedo, Greninja and Crawdaunt itself are the only Pokémon that resist it.
Also, Crawdaunt's movepool iisn't that rich (Superpower is the only other viable notable move I can think of)
Anyway, Ferrothorn doesn't wall shit since it takes neutral damage from Crunch and if it lacks Power Whip, it always loses no matter what.
Against Azumarill it's hopeless though the fat aquatic rabbit takes a chunck of a +2 Crabhammer and dies with Rain support

Yeah, that is a point. I keep forgetting about the Steel no longer resisting Ghost/Dark thing. ._.

Anyway, here's a set that looks like it could be fun:

Archeops @ Choice Scarf / Band
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
    Jolly/Adamant nature

    -Stone Edge
    -Earthquake
-U-turn / coverage move of choice
    -Switcheroo

With Archeops' power and Speed, it was already a great mon, but now its longevity is better thanks to Stealth Rock being less ubiquitous, and the fact that it now has access to Switcheroo. It should be pretty easy to figure out how it works; Stone Edge for STAB, Earthquake for EdgeQuake coverage, U-turn for scouting (and also hitting basically everything that resists EdgeQuake), and Switcheroo to cripple walls. I can see it working really well in lower tiers. :3

A set I've designed for Aururos with NU in mind, since that's probably where it'll end up.

    Aururos @ Life Orb
    Lonely Nature (+Atk -Def)
    EV: 252 Atk, 196 SAtk, 60 Spd
    Return
    Stone Edge
    Earthquake
    Freeze Dry

Standard wallbreaker. Despite its underwhelming attack stats, it actually packs a fair punch. Return gets a Refrigerate boost and with STAB hits 198 power. Stone Edge is the alternate STAB, and shreds Torkoal and Mantine. Earthquake gets great coverage with Aururos's STABs. Freeze Dry takes care of the bulky water types. The EVs let it outrun 0 Spd Alomomola - attack is maximised for maximum power in that area. Calcs:

    252+ Atk Life Orb Refrigerate Aurorus Return vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Vileplume: 351-416 (99.1 - 117.5%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO
196 SpA Life Orb Aurorus Freeze Dry vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Alomomola: 439-523 (82.2 - 97.9%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
196 SpA Life Orb Aurorus Freeze Dry vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Eviolite Tangela: 320-377 (95.8 - 112.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
    252+ Atk Life Orb Aurorus Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mantine: 439-523 (131.4 - 156.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
    196 SpA Life Orb Aurorus Freeze Dry vs. 252 HP / 200+ SpD Ludicolo: 348-421 (95.6 - 115.6%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO
    252+ Atk Life Orb Aurorus Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Torkoal: 190-226 (55.2 - 65.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
    252+ Atk Life Orb Refrigerate Aurorus Return vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Audino: 250-294 (60.9 - 71.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

What's with the weird EVs? If you're hindering its Defence stat, investing in it doesn't make much sense to me. They'd be better off going into HP instead imo.

I can see a specially based version of the same set working well too, as it has BoltBeam coverage:

    Something like

    Aurorus @ Life Orb
    EVs: 196 Atk / 252 SAtk / 60 Spd
    Mild nature

-Freeze Dry / Nature Power (turns into Tri Attack, and thus STAB with fun status chances)
    -Thunderbolt
    -Stone Edge
    -Earthquake / filler.

Of course, when Snow Warning is released it'll be a lot better, but...

amanda todd (Mandibuzz) (F) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Overcoat
    EVs: 134 HP / 252 Def / 30 SDef / 92 Spd
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Taunt
    - Foul Play
    - Roost
    - Defog

No one seems to have mentioned Mandibuzz yet, but yeah. Definitely carving out a niche for itself in OU. It has great bulk and is a decent check for Aegislash as well as other offensive Pokemon with Foul Play and Taunt. Overcoat also got that huge buff, so it's good for shutting down Pokes like Breloom or anything running Sleep Powder/Stun Spore. Mand has the nice Defog too.

    Hawlucha (M) @ Focus Sash
    Trait: Unburden
    EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpAtk)
    - Swords Dance
    - Flying Press/Hi Jump Kick
    - Acrobatics
    - Stone Edge/Rock Slide

I guess Hawlucha became a lot less usable since gems are basically unavailable, but this could be a decent set for it if (more like when) it drops to a lower tier. It can at least still benefit from Unburden this way and becomes a pretty powerful Pokemon after it has set up.

    Scrafty @ Lum Berry
    Trait: Moxie
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
    Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
    - Dragon Dance
    - High Jump Kick
    - Knock Off
    - Ice Punch
Scrafty's one of my favorite Pokemon, and it got some pretty significant buffs as well as a more favorable meta to run around in. I don't understand why Scrafty isn't seeing as much usage as other offensive Dark-types like BisharWith Aegislash around, scarf Terrakion and Keldeo are almost non-existent. Knock Off is a great move in general know, as its a strong move to sweep with, or hit an incoming counter to get rid of its item. Hi Jump Kick is really strong, and with Ice Punch has great coverage. Shed Skin is okay, but with Moxie, it's actually pretty easy to sweep through teams lacking priority Flying attacks. Stall is pretty common know, especially at around 1400+, and with proper team support to handle Quagsire and priority Flying-attacker / Mach Punch, Scrafty can actually be a threat this gen. Common physical walls like Rotom-W, Mandibuzz, and even (to a lesser extent) Aegislash are set-up fodder, as one DD is all it takes to start doing major damage to opposing teams.

Bulk Up is probably going to better later on, but right now, Mega Lucario is just too scary for me to try it.

Redesigning my team for gen6, here's what I've changed so far:

    Donphan @ Leftovers
    Trait: Sturdy
    EVs: 252 HP / 4 SDef / 252 Def
    Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
    - Stealth Rock
    - Earthquake
    - Rapid Spin
    - Knock Off

I understood that to keep Donphan I would need to increase its utility. So what I did was drop ice shard for knock off which conveniently let me change its nature and EVs to a defensive setup. Knock off is the best parting gift that Donphan can give to common switch-ins like Ferrothorn, Rotom-W, Starmie and so on while also making it a pain for anything else in general from examples like eviolite holders, to toxic orb Gliscor/Breloom if his team also runs heal bell, to Genesect and so on. This means that Donphan goes from being caught between two roles to being "offensively defensive" as it should be, and it's no longer set-up fodder for pretty much anything which is an invaluable plus to have on your utility mons. If you haven't made the change yet then I'd really advice you to.

    Dragonite @ Weakness Policy
    Trait: Multiscale
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Spd / 252 HP
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Dragon Dance
    - Dragon Claw
    - Extreme Speed
    - Roost

Because DDnite wants to run earthquake, fire punch *and* thunder punch this gen I thought that no matter what set I use I'm going to get walled by something, so I might as well change it into something people won't be expecting and that adds more utility to my team. Extreme speed is that utility while roost + multiscale could be used for semi-stalling out stuff if you get toxic spikes up, giving you another potential option. Roost also helps with staying in to use the weakness policy boost and the combination of roost + weakness policy + extreme speed means that you don't even need to boost up to pull off a sweep or clean-up, something you can't do with "coverage" DDnite. So in conclusion I have a priority cleaner, semi-staller and set-up sweeper in one slot instead of just a set-up sweeper in a metagame which gave the set-up sweeper set a 4MSS that it didn't really have previously.

That's all from me for now but posting this actually inspired me to get more creative, so I may return

That Dragonite definitely wants more Speed. You're not even outrunning neutral base 100s at +1 with that set. IMO, you should hit at least 223 Speed (that's 108 EVs) to get the jump on Jolly Chomp at +1

    Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
    Trait: Poison Heal
    Adamant Nature (+Atk -SAtk)
    EV: 240 HP, 212 Atk, 56 Spd
    Swords Dance
    Earthquake
    Knock Off/Facade/Ice Fang
    Roost

Designed to break through walls. Swords Dance gives Gliscor a 612 Attack stat, enough to break through most walls that don't resist its Attacks. Earthquake gets STAB, and after a boost 2HKOs most things that don't resist it. Knock Off removes items, and helps break through Pokémon dependant on their items like Chansey. Facade is just a strong attack to spam in general, able to 2HKO physically defensive Rotom-W at +2. Ice Fang hits opposing Gliscor and Landorus-T hard. 240 HP EVs give Gliscor a Poison Heal number; 56 Speed EVs let it outrun 252 Spd Adamant Breloom, the rest is in Attack for more power.

Hey everyone! Today I will be posting an older Dragonite set that was created in generation four, but has found some new light, after a dark period in generation 5, amongst the current fast-paced, offensive metagame.

Dragonite (M) @ Life Orb / Dragon Gem
    EVs: 240 Atk / 252 SAtk / 12 Spd
    Trait: Multiscale / Inner Focus
    Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
    - Draco Meteor
    - Superpower
    - Fire Blast
    - Extreme Speed

I usually lead with Dragonite against teams that lack an Azumarill, Sylveon, or Florges. Ultimately, it gets at least one kill and usually more with E-Speed being able to sent something else. Against stall, it is an absolute wrecking-machine, being able to break through walls like Skarmory w/ Fire Blast and Blissey w/ Superpower. Against offensive teams, they usually lack a counter and have one, of multiple, Pokemon going down as Dragonite is tanky. In addition, the E-speed prio is lovely.

All in all, cool set, give it a try!

A set I've found works really well in UU:

    Toxicroak @ Life Orb
    Trait: Dry Skin
    Adamant Nature (+Atk -SAtk)
    EV: 4 HP, 252 Atk, 252 Spd
    Swords Dance
    Drain Punch
    Sucker Punch
    Gunk Shot

Set up a Swords Dance, and go for it. Drain Punch is the main STAB, and also heals off Life Orb recoil. Sucker Punch gets priority, and makes up for Toxicroak's middling speed. Gunk Shot is the most powerful STAB, and Poison STAB is Toxicroak's USP against the other Fighting types in the tier. At +2 Gunk Shot OHKOs all the Fairy types in UU regardless of what they happen to be running.

+2 Gunk Shot fails to OHKO Carbink which has gargantuan defenses and takes neutral damage from Gunk Shot because of its secondary Rock type :3

    +2 252+ Atk Life Orb Toxicroak Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Carbink: 263-309 (86.5 - 101.6%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Maybe not a guaranteed OHKO but it comes pretty damn close.

Did ya know that Shuckle now learns both Stealth Rock & Sticky Web at the same time?

    Thread Contribution 1:

    Suicide Trap Layer
    Shuckle @ Leftovers
Sassy Nature (-Spd +SDef) (What's he ever gonna outspeed regardless?)
    Trait: Sturdy
    EV: 252 HPs, 252 SDef, 4 Def
    Infestation
    Toxic
    Stealth Rock
    Sticky Web

Infestation can be useful for trapping a poke ya Switched Shuckle into as a test to see if the foe switches in a Magic Bouncer or not... if the foe doesn't, ya have now trapped the poke so ya can now deploy Traps while the foe's chance to switch in a Magic Bouncer is now gone. Can also possibly Toxic the trapped poke before or after Traps are deployed & get extra Utility outta your Shuckle if the trapped foe is not a Gliscor, Poison Heal Breloom, Immunity Snorlax, a Poison Type, or a Steel Type.

I think it's 8 Turns of Sun, not 10.

Anyway, I gotta alternate Sun Team Heatran i've been loving & using. This one is partnered in my Sun Team with both a Heat Rock Ninetales & a Mega Charizard Y at the same time to make my Sun difficult to eliminate.

    Thread Contribution 2:

    Foecinerator, my Sun Team Heatran
    Heatran @ Assault Vest
    Modest Nature (+SAtk -Atk)
    Trait: Flash Fire
    EV: 252 SAtk, 252 SDef, 4 HPs
    Flamethrower
    Flash Cannon
    Solarbeam
Ancient Power (Yes I miss having Earth Power to protect myself from opposing Heatrans, but I use this Move to avoid getting Walled by Flying Types that have a secondary typing that'll resist both Fire & Steel, like, say... opposing Mega Charizard Y, & Talonflame. I got Teammate Support to deal with opposing Heatrans.)

With this build, PO tells me when I mouse over my Heatran that Foecinerator has 466 SDef! While Sun's up, my Heatran has eaten opposing Rotom-W Hydro Pumps for only 20ish% damage & then OHKOed back with Solarbeam many times! I view this as a Special Tank build, & it's so awesome to finally find a way to be able to run an awesome Heatran & not have to obsess over Speed for once! She can even eat Paralysis for her Teammates that can ill afford the Speed Damage then counterattack the Paralyzer a decent amount of the time since she's built to not rely on Speed. Saved my Team's butt from opposing Prankster Thunder Wave Klefkis more than once. ^_^

What if the Dragon Rush + Hone Claws Set is also simultaneously running Stone Miss as well for coverage against Flying foes?

    Ampharos (F) @ Ampharosite
    Trait: Static
    Mega Trait: Mold Breaker
    EVs: 248 HP / 252 SAtk / 8 Def
    Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
    - Thunderbolt
    - Dragon Pulse
    - Focus Blast
    - Hidden Power [Ice]

Ampharos you powerful sheep! Among the newer buffs in the new generation. Ampharos has gotten some pretty great buff including the beautiful addition of it's dragon typing. Which means new STAB with the attacks it got. Ampharos has even gotten some pretty good new bulk with it's new typing. One of the newer things I have noticed about this Ampharos is that it works STUNNINGLY well in Trick Room. With it's decreased speed while in Mega state allows it to be widely more useful. Ampharos Base stats are: 90/75/85/115/90/55. While Mega Ampharos Stats are: 90/95/105/165/110/45

Thunderbolt - There is no real reason you need to "boost" Ampharos SAtk stat. In Mega forme, this thing hits to a almighty 471 with a +SAtk nature. Which is just insanity! It's like a legendary pokemon powerful! Thunderbolt is the Elec STAB in this set. Thunderbolt also has a small chance to paralyze your opponents in battle.

Dragon Pulse- With the addition of it's new typing being Dragon. This attack now gets STAB and can widely be used for Ampharos benefit. Using this move to get some damage on some other pokemon that resist Electric. Dragon Pulse hits alot of things pretty hard despise having no after effects.

Focus Blast- Amph with Focus Blast has always been reliable coverage in battle situations and this one is no different. Since Amph has the new dragon typing this move can now be used as its protection against Ice. Focus Blast does have the change to miss of course!!

Hidden Power[Ice]- This move has been a standard in alot of standard Ampharos sets. Hidden Power Ice is good for the coverage. Taking on the ground types that can give Amph a issue.

    Excadrill (F) @ Assault Vest
    Trait: Mold Breaker
    EVs: 176 HP / 252 Atk / 48 SDef / 32 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Rapid Spin
    - Earthquake
    - Rock Slide
    - Iron Head

Assault Vest Excadrill is a monster. With Assault Vest and this spread, it has enough special bulk to be considered not "frail" and with the typing + base HP Exca has, it's not to be underestimated. In addition, Earthquake + Mold breaker is cool for pokemon like Latias/os, Rotom-W, and other levitating pokemon. Rock Slide is able to hit Flying type pokemon like Thundurus(-T), while Iron Head is powerful Steel-STAB. Finally, it can Rapid Spin away hazards on teams that like having their own hazards up, while still needing to rid the field of opposing hazards.

PS: Speed is for Base 90s and Landorus-T w/out any investment.

    Zapdos @ Leftovers
    Trait: Pressure
    EVs: 252 HP / 248 SDef / 8 Spd
    Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
    - Roost
    - Substitute
    - Toxic
    - Thunderbolt

Walls a significant portion of the Meta atm including Mixed Aegislash, most Genesect, Heatran, Deoxys-S, Special Mega Lucario and non-Ice Punch physical Lucario, most Latias, Gengar, Scizor, Skarmory etc. It can also Toxic stall a plethora of the metagame, and what it can't, it can for the most part Power Point stall them. It should also be mentioned that Heat Wave can replace either Sub or Toxic for certain situations.

Personally, I'd choose HP Grass over Ice in this case, as aside from things like Gliscor, you're gonna hit just about everything harder with Dragon Pulse. HP Grass hits things like Quagsire, Seismitoad, Swampert and friends for 4x damage, as well as various other things like Rhyperior. Just seems like the better option to me.

    - Fly
    - Will-O-Wisp
    - Roost
    - (Filler)

So this is a troll set, basically it makes you untouchable. Note that there are 0 IVs in speed. Talonflame uses Fly on the first turn, and because of Gale Wings goes flies into the air with +1 priority. On turn two because of it's speed, attacks last. Of course this isn't reliable, but test it out if you want! Will-O-Wisp and Roost are both fillers, and I couldn't think of a third one.

So this thread died as the generation grew on people as it was initially intended to be a 'Generation Six Sets' thread, for pokemon that are prominent in the developmental metagame during October and November. In the months of December and January, it functioned as a low-activity creative sets thread for OU, but it never really blossomed into a noteworthy thread and has flat out died over the last couple months, so I guess that I will attempt to revive this as a 'Creative' sets thread. Note that gimmicks can be categorized under creative, but at the same time this doesn't mean you can post anything that isn't standard - it must be effective and tested. Anything that I or the other tier leaders deem as poor posting will be either warned or infracted as this is as serious as most other threads, just with the element of being able to share your own sets being the focal point. With this being said, I will get the ball rolling with some of sets I find creative and effective.

    [IMG](M) @ Colbur Berry
    Trait: Stance Change
    EVs: 244 Atk / 248 SAtk / 16 Spd
    Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
    - Shadow Ball
    - Sacred Sword
    - King's Shield
    - Shadow Sneak

Colbur Aegislash's able to function as a lure to pokemon who carry Dark moves such as Bisharp, (Mega)Tyranitar, (Mega)Mawile, and (Mega)Scizor. With DeoSharp HO being one of the most common playstyles and Tyranitar being prominent as usual in OU, this is often handy and once you survive a Dark move as the berry is consumed, Bisharp and Tyranitar (Mega after rocks) are both OHKOd by Sacred Sword thanks to the EVs invested in attack.
    244 Atk Aegislash-Blade Sacred Sword vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Tyranitar: 404-476 (100 - 117.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
    244 Atk Aegislash-Blade Sacred Sword vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mega Tyranitar: 308-364 (90.3 - 106.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
    244 Atk Aegislash-Blade Sacred Sword vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Bisharp: 436-516 (160.2 - 189.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO - this one's quite obvious, but figured it couldn't hurt to include it.
In addition, the EVs in speed are for outpacing -Spd regular Tyranitar (mixed SR variants) and opposing Aegislash who are also -Spd; this is more of a creep than anything else, so feel free to sort these 16 speed EVs as you please. Overall, this plays like your standard Spooky Plate / Leftovers Aegi otherwise, but it lacks the STAB Ghost move power of Spooky Plate and the recovery of Leftovers while gaining the ability to lure the aforementioned threats and support a team amazingly well (personally, I like pairing it alongside something that Bisharp deals with, like Latias, but it's the user's choice).

    [IMG] (F) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Flash Fire
    EVs: 252 HP / 136 SDef / 120 Spd
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Taunt
    - Toxic
    - Flamethrower / Lava Plume
    - Stealth Rock / Roar

I like to label this 'Stallbreaker' Heatran. For those of you unsure why I am running these specific moves and spread, let's get on into it! First off, the EVs allow me to outpace Adamant natures Breloom and Bisharp, uninvested base 100s, and all (well EVd) variants of bulky Rotom-W. As for the moves, Taunt on fast Heatran is the main reason for why it has potential to 'break' stall teams - pokemon like Chansey/Blissey, Mandibuzz, Mega-Venusaur, Clefable, opposing Heatran, Zapdos, and others who are slower attempt to use recovery, team support, hazard stacking, hazard removing (Defog), status, or set-up moves in Heatran's face, but are unable to do so and rendered practically useless. With hazard support, this Heatran can wear down things like incoming Chansey (with Rocks and U-turn special Lando-I, I have stall teams' special walls weakened or dead by mid-game almost always, but that's specifically related to one of my teams) who attempt to use Heatran as fodder for their recovery or other purposes, but fail. Speaking of support, Heatran also appreciates the previously touched upon U-turn (and Volt Switch) to wear things down as you pivot into Heatran and then prevent immediate recovery with Taunt. Likewise, an answer to bulky waters like Rotom-W and Quagsire is mandatory as Heatran typially nails them as they come in with Toxic (or it can stay in on Rotom-W for one turn and Toxic), meaning that a pokemon like Mega Venusaur can come in to tank a water attack or two and force them out or easily wear them down, thus making them not too well functioning throughout the remainder of the game. Finally, Flamethrower is the preferred STAB as Lava Plume + Toxic is contradictory and Stealth Rock is the main last move, but if you have another Stealth Rock user, Roar is the most optimal alternative (you could use Earth Power, but unless you are weak to opposing Heatran, it's not advised).

God, I ramble on too much, sorry for lengthy explanations and hope I avoided any errors because too lazy to read this over before posting, so w/e

Finch, try 252 HP / 48 SDef / 208 Spd Calm on that Heatran. It hits the same Speed point, but gives you an extra 4 SDef. Not a huge difference I know, but it's also a perfect jump point if that appeals? *shrugs*

This isn't really something creative, it's just an underrated Pokemon that needs more love:

    Rhyperior @ Leftovers
    Trait: Solid Rock
    EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
    Impish Nature (+Def, -SpA)
    - Stealth Rock
    - Earthquake
    - Rock Blast
    - Dragon Tail

Rhyperior is, in my opinion, on of the best physically defensive walls in the game. Thanks to Solid Rock and a gargantuan Defense stat, Rhyperior outright counters stuff like Mega Charizard-X, Mega Pinsir, Mega Tyranitar, Talonflame, physical Thundurus, and more. These are some of the most threatening physical titans in the metagame and Rhyperior gives no shit about them. It can also hard check stuff like Bisharp, Aegislash, Mega Mawile, and physical Genesect, but it needs to be healthy to do so. Furthermore, Rhyperior beats every defensive Defogger barring Skarmory, which makes it an excellent Stealth Rock setter. Earthquake and Rock Blast provide nice STABs with excellent coverage, while Dragon Tail is really just a filler move that phazes stuff and whatnot. You can use Toxic or Megahorn instead but it really doesn't matter. Rhyperior's lack of recovery and extreme special frailty are let downs though, so I recommend pairing it with a specially defensive cleric like Chansey or Sylveon to overcome those problems. Also, Rhyperior is not outclassed by Landorus-T and Hippowdon at all, since they cannot deal with stuff like Mega Pinsir that well, while they lose to almost every common Defogger. Still not convinced? Take a look at these calcs:
    +1 252 Atk Mega Charizard X Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Solid Rock Rhyperior: 147-174 (33.8 - 40%) -- 30.3% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
    +1 252 Atk Mega Pinsir Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Solid Rock Rhyperior: 168-198 (38.7 - 45.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
    +1 252+ Atk Mega Tyranitar Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Solid Rock Rhyperior: 192-226 (44.2 - 52%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Huge Power Mega Mawile Iron Head vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Solid Rock Rhyperior: 222-262 (51.1 - 60.3%) -- 89.1% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
    +2 252+ Atk Life Orb Bisharp Iron Head vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Solid Rock Rhyperior: 328-386 (75.5 - 88.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 Atk Life Orb Genesect Iron Head vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Solid Rock Rhyperior: 146-172 (33.6 - 39.6%) -- 18.8% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
    252+ SpA Aegislash-Blade Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Rhyperior: 258-304 (59.4 - 70%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
    252 SpA Thundurus Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Solid Rock Rhyperior: 307-363 (70.7 - 83.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
    252+ Atk Mold Breaker Excadrill Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Rhyperior: 222-264 (51.1 - 60.8%) -- 90.6% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
And note that Rhyperior OHKOes most of these back with Earthquake, which means that it will always come out on top barring crits/flinches.

So yeah, use Rhyperior, it's an excellent Pokemon in the current metagame (do support it well though).

Thanks for reviving Finch, I clean forgot about this thread.

Togekiss @ Pixie Plate / Life Orb
    Modest Nature (+SAtk -Atk)
Trait: Serene Grace / Super Luck
    EV: 164 HP / 252 SAtk / 92 Spd
    Nasty Plot
    Dazzling Gleam
    Fire Blast
    Aura Sphere / Roost

This thing smashes walls and stall teams with ease. It's not supposed to be the main sweeper; rather, it blows holes for other Pokémon to clear up later. Dazzling Gleam for STAB, Fire Blast for Steels, Aura Sphere for Tyranitar although you could use Roost too. EVs let it outrun 0 Spd Landorus-T with max special attack and the rest in HP for extra bulk. Here are some calcs:

    +2 252+ SpA Togekiss Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Aegislash-Shield: 350-412 (108 - 127.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252+ SpA Togekiss Aura Sphere vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Tyranitar in Sand: 320-380 (79.2 - 94%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
    +2 252+ SpA Pixie Plate Togekiss Dazzling Gleam vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Rotom-W: 306-361 (100.6 - 118.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
    +2 252+ SpA Togekiss Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Skarmory: 666-784 (199.4 - 234.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
    +2 252+ SpA Pixie Plate Togekiss Dazzling Gleam vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Deoxys-D: 168-198 (55.2 - 65.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
    +2 252+ SpA Pixie Plate Togekiss Dazzling Gleam vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Landorus-T: 390-459 (102 - 120.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
    +2 252+ SpA Life Orb Togekiss Aura Sphere vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 302-356 (42.8 - 50.5%) -- 96.1% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
+2 252+ SpA Life Orb Togekiss Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Thick Fat Mega Venusaur: 278-328 (76.3 - 90.1%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

I don't play OU so I don't really have much to contribute.
And Sap Sipper Azumarill basically hard counters all charizard (both X and Y). Idk the set or anything tho I've just heard about it.

Lol good luck doing anything back to them. Mega Charizard-X will eventually beat it because a +2 Flare Blitz 2HKOes 252/4 variants while they do around 30% if they're max Attack to Charizard, and if it has Roost, it can easily get up to +6 on it lol. As for Mega Charizard-Y, it also has a good chance to 2HKO with Fire Blast as it is, while again, Azumarill can only land a 4HKO with Waterfall. If you're looking for a Charizard check, use AV Huge Power Azumarill. It can take a Solarbeam followed by a Fire Blast switch-in from Char-Y, proceeding to do a lot of damage with Waterfall and OHKOing the next turn with priority Aqua Jet. For Char-X, Azumarill switches in on a DD, takes a Flare Blitz, goes for the Play Rough, and KOes the next turn with Aqua Jet after Flare Bltiz's recoil. All variants of Azumarill lose to StallZard-X though, so yeah :/

    tldr; Sap Sipper Azumarill sucks

    Anyway, I have another thing:

    Latios @ Life Orb
    Trait: Levitate
    EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
    - Draco Meteor
    - Psyshock
    - Hidden Power Fighting
    - Defog

HP Fighting Latios is an excellent Bisharp lure. It is really useful on teams that need Defog but can't afford a Bisharp check. Latios Defogs as Bisharp switches in, and then goes for HP Fighting, OHKOing Bisharp as it goes for the "safe" Pursuit/Knock Off/Swords Dance. This works really well as no one will use Sucker Punch on Latios anyway, since it can't OHKO and will most likely switch out. This Latios is easily exploitable by the likes of Aegislash, (Mega) Scizor, specially defensive Heatran, and Genesect, though, but it's alright since I mainly use it as a Bisharp lure.

I had a lot of these creative sets, I just can't seem to find the teams that I used them on lol. But still, I'll be posting in this thread a lot since I'm experimenting weird sets on a daily basis :P

Edit: Here's another creative set: Mixed Tyranitar. It works great as a lure for physical attackers that like Skarmory, Landorus-T, and Gliscor gone, such as Mega Pinsir and Scolipede.

    /double post (sry x.x)

Here's something I use a lot but keep forgetting to post:

    Landorus @ Life Orb
    Trait: Sheer Force
    EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
    Naive Nature (+Spe, -SpD)
    - Earth Power
    - Focus Blast
    - Psychic
    - Knock Off

    GG stall.

In all seriousness, Knock Off Landorus rips every stall team that lacks Sleep Powder Mega Venusaur or Specially Defensive Mandibuzz into shreds. Stall's only way to deal with Landorus is Chansey, bulky Latias, and SpD Mandibuzz, with the former two being much more common than the latter. Knock Off completely destroys bulky Latias while heavily crippling Chansey. After Chansey's Eviolite is removed, Landorus can easily secure the 2HKO on it with Focus Blast (misses are annoying, but you'll most likely be the winner). With Chansey/Latias gone, nothing will want to take a hit from Landorus. All other common stall Pokemon are 1-2HKOed without any hazards. Those that aren't immediately OHKOed can whittle it down and eventually take it out, but by the time Landorus leaves the field, the stall team will be in shackles and easily cleaned up by another sweeper on your team. So yeah, if you're having trouble with stall teams, I recommend you try Knock Off Landorus.

Another cool Pokemon that rips apart stall:

    Medicham @ Medichamite
    Trait: Pure Power
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Jolly Nature (+Spe, -SpA)
    - Subsitute
    - High Jump Kick
    - Psycho Cut
    - Ice Punch

Substitute Mega Medicham sets up on a shitton of common stall Pokemon like Chansey, Heatran, and Mega Venusaur with ease, and once its Sub is up, something is going to die or at least get heavily crippled. Stall's best chance against this thing is running something like Cresselia, Slowbro, or Aegislash, and they all can be dealt with by Pursuit Bisharp (dealt with meaning crippled enough for Medicham to KO them too). High Jump Kick 2HKOes even the most physically bulky walls on stall (Skarmory, Quagsire, etc.) while Psycho Cut deals with annoying Mega Venusaurs and Clefables. Ice Punch is mainly there for Gliscor and Landorus-T, but you can use Thunder Punch or Fire Punch if your team has ways around them. You can also use Drain Punch over High Jump Kick for the recovery, but it doesn't secure the 2HKO on Quagsire with a Jolly nature, so it's generally not worth it.

Something to note about both Mega Medicham and Landorus is that, while they utterly destroy stall, they don't necessarily "fail" against offensive teams either, because they both have literally 0 switch-ins in offense (aside from Aegi for MegaCham) and decent Speed tiers as well.

    IVs: 30 Atk / 30 SAtk / 30 Spe
    Naive nature
    - Tail Slap
    - Rock Blast
    - Hidden Power
    - Knock Off

This is an interesting Cincinno set I've been trying out! It's just a great revenge killer, being really fast and having good coverage. Tail Slap is your STAB move of choice and will inflict a lot of damage to anything that doesn't resist it. Hidden Power Fire combined with Technician allows you to bait Ferrothorn and easily 2HKO it. It hurts Scizor and Bisharp too! Knock Off is helpful against bulky walls to remove their Lefties, and does over 50% to Aegislash which is pretty good.

Yes. This set is amazing. Latios and Latias come in like "muh Defog" and Thundy gets the +2 Attack and smashes them with Knock Off. Wild Charge is basic STAB, which deals crazy damage at +2 or not, Superpower is gg vs. Tyranitar, Chansey, Heatran, and deals moderate damage to Ferrothorn as well. When I run this I try to the fact that I'm running physical as long as possible, so Taunt made a nice last move. But really this set is pure power

Hi, I have a few cute sets I'd like to post :> Please note that I didn't come up with any of these, I just use them a lot and find them very effective:

    Charizard (M) @ Charizardite X
    Trait: Blaze
    EVs: 96 HP / 252 Atk / 160 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Swords Dance
    - Flare Blitz
    - Outrage
    - Tailwind

Dis set. Dis set right here is great. Now, Char-X usually has a problem with its Dragon Dance sets; sometimes, one boost isn't enough to power through defensive stall behemoths like Slowbro and Alomomola, and other times, +1 Speed isn't ideal if there's a Choice Scarf Garchomp, Terrakion, or LO Deoxys-S running around. The combination of SD + Tailwind aims to fix this, as it allows Char-X to choose which stat it will heavily boost depending on its matchup. With Tailwind, nothing on offense can outspeed Char-X (aside from Scarf Sand Rush Excadrill which I run because im anti-meta and need to be able to revenge kill opposing Sand Rush Excas x.x), and everything is literally OHKOed by one of its STABs after SR. With a Swords Dance boost, nothing on stall can take Char-X on; even Unaware Quagsire and Clefable, which ignore the +2 SD boost, are 2HKOed by Outrage and Flare Blitz, respectively, so they're not counters or even checks for that matter. The only problem with this set is that it is easy to force Char-X into Outrage and go into a Steel-type to take advantage of it, which is honestly fine since the opponent will need to sac something in order to safely bring that said Steel-type in. A way to remedy this problem would be to pair Char-X with Healing Wish support; it will wallbreak as it gets weakened down, you'll switch out and preserve Char-X, and come in later after using Healing Wish to clean up the broken team. Basically, this variant of Char-X is both a stallbreaker AND a Pokemon that can power its way through offense with ease. It's kinda difficult to use since you need to be careful using its STABs as they both have unfortunate drawbacks, and you need to be able to assess the situation properly to see which boosting move Char-X should go for, but overall, that's a price worth paying for the sheer utility and gamebreaking prowess this set has. If anyone's wondering, I stole the EV spread from someone on Smogon, and it's basically used to outspeed Sand Rush Excadrill under Tailwind, which is the only relevant thing you need to outspeed. Overall, use this set it reks.

    Lucario (M) @ Life Orb
    Trait: Justified
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Swords Dance
    - Close Combat
    - Earthquake / Crunch / Ice Punch
    - Extreme Speed

One day, I was just lurking on IRC, and I heard someone say that SD Lucario is a godly sweeper in OU, so being the no-life bored loner I am, I decided to give it a go, and my god, under proper circumstances it does so frickin well it's not even funny. Lucairo is the only OU-legal Pokemon to get the combination of SD + Espeed (aside from Smeargle), and it uses it very well thanks to its high Attack stat and strong STAB in Close Combat. Lucario can set up on things like Bisharp, Ferrothorn, and Chansey, while also using the switches it forces on things like Tyranitar and Heatran to set up SD as well. At +2, many offensive Pokemon are OHKOed by Espeed after being weakened just a tad bit by entry hazards, while those that aren't OHKOed by Espeed are outsped and demolished by Close Combat or one of Lucario's coverage moves anyway (aside from Pokemon like Terrakion and Scarf Ttar/Tran/Exca etc.). I like to use EQ just to hit Aegislash reliably, but you can run Crunch to get past Gengar and Slowbro or run Ice Punch to OHKO Land-T and Gliscor. Lucario shouldn't use Jolly because it'll be spamming Espeed anyway (which, btw, out-prioritizes Talonflame's Brave Bird and Thundurus's Thunder Waves), and the Pokemon that aren't hit by Espeed are either outsped without Jolly and defeated by its other moves, or just outright beat Lucario anyway. Overall, while its Mega Evolution isn't with us anymore (rip ;-;), its base form can still be a threatening presence in the OU tier.

    Deoxys-S @ Light Clay
    Trait: Pressure
    EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Reflect
    - Light Screen
    - Taunt
    - Stealth Rock / Knock Off / Psycho Boost

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, I'm too lazy to go back and check if it has ;-; Anyway, Deoxys-S is a god among men when it comes to supporting offense. Deo-S can force switches very easily with the threat of its LO set, and it uses those switches to set up dual screens. Deo-S will usually be able to set up both screens at least once in the match as long as you choose which screen to set up first carefully, then it can be fodder to let something on its team go to town. Behind screens, Pokemon like Diggersby, Mega Mawile, and Landorus are A LOT more threatening, while Pokemon like BellyJet Azumarill and Dragon Dancing/Swords Dancing Mega Evolutions find it much easier to set up and sweep. Taunt is used to make sure that nothing can Defog away your screens, while also providing a way for Deo-S to not be set-up bait. The last slot can be devoted to pretty much anything really; if you need an SR setter, then use Deo-S, otherwise, use one of the vast array of attacking moves available to you like Knock Off or Psycho Boost. Overall, Deo-S is a really good team supporter and very easy to use if you predict right the first turn it's out on the field. Behind screens, many of the offensive powerhouses in OU are much, MUCH scarier to face.

Again, these sets were not invented by me, I'm just posting them because I don't think anybody else has and to show off their viability in the metagame :)

    While we're posting SPL sets:

    Mew @ Leftovers
    Trait: Synchronize
    EVs: 248 HP / 108 SDef / 152 Spd
    Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
    - Taunt
    - Will-O-Wisp
    - Soft-Boiled
    - Knock Off

Specially Defensive Mew is the new kid on the block. Investing into Special Defense instead of the regular Defense lets it counter a new array of threats: Mega Gardevoir, Latios, Heatran, etc and checking Specs Keldeo if it doesn't lock in Hpump. It's also a great Mixed Wall because it still burns slower threats which are unable to break it after the burn and check them efficiently, like Bandnite, Terrakion,… Softboiled and WoW are self-explanatory (recovery and burning stuff), Taunt to avoid setting up or hazards to take place and Knock Off as 'attack' to remove items. Taunt + Knock Off is also a great way to dismantle stall teams, which usually will have a lot of trouble dealing with this Mew. Really cool set and outclasses regular Defensive Mew imo.

Team East came up with this set I think and they've been using it all over in Swcup.

    Medicham @ Medichamite
    Trait: Pure Power
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    -Fake Out
    -Bullet Punch
    -High Jump Kick
-Ice Punch / Fire Punch / Zen Headbutt

This monster isa straight up baller. I use this on a fun little OU team I made that gets decimated by stall. Adamant over Jolly because that power is addicting. Jolly is lame. First 3 moves are self explanatory (Ensuring mega with no damage, picking off weakened, faster mons, and absurdly strong STAB). The last move is more team dependent. My team has more trouble with Gliscor/Lando than Aegi/MVenu so Ice Punch is my choice. When this thing gets on the field mons just die left and right. He also almost singlehandedly beats every common stall mons (Skarm, Bliss, Chansey, Tran, Gliscor, Lando, Bulky MSciz, Quagsire, Bulky Zard X, MVenu doesn't want to switch in, and the list goes on). Basically Defensivr Clefable and Aegislash are the only common stall mons I have trouble with. It's not a complete deadweight against offense either.

Mixed Charizard-Y is very good for break the stall, the EV's in SPe are for outspeed Kyu-B and similar, with this Ev's in Atk I can 2Ohko CHansey under the sun, Fire Blast 2ohko Quagsire and EQ OHKO Heatran (obv), Roost help me to restore the HP lose on the Rocks or the recoil of Flare Blitz.

Speaking of Lucario, a set I've been using to relatively high degrees of success in the current OU metagame is Nasty Plot lucario. STAB aura sphere and flash cannon get wonderful coverage together, and you can pick your choice of coverage or vaccuum wave priority in the final moveslot based on the team's needs. The set I use relies on Psychic to help take out Mega Venusaur and Conkeldurr, two otherwise annoying pokemon to beat.

    Lucario (M) @ Life Orb
    Trait: Inner Focus
    EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

    - Nasty Plot
    - Aura Sphere
    - Flash Cannon
    - Psychic

One other pokemon I've used recently and highly effectively in OU is Rhyperior. Aside from Keldeo and Mega Venusaur (dealt with by the above Lucario set), assvest Rhyperior has no problems tanking a hit and OHKOing much of the current top-tier threats. Even Aegislash fails to OHKO, allowing Rhyperior to tank the flash cannon and obliterate in return with earthquake. Thank you, Solid Rock! I run avalanche over megahorn on the set below since Rhyperior will mostly be wrecking opposing offensive pokemon after tanking a hit, meaning avalanche will have an excellent 120 base power.

    Rhyperior (F) @ Assault Vest
    Trait: Solid Rock
    EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SDef
    Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)

    - Earthquake
    - Rock Blast
    - Dragon Tail
    - Avalanche

    TIME TO REVIVE!

    Venusaur (M) @ Venusaurite
    Trait: Overgrow
    EVs: 252 HP / 232 SDef / 20 Spd
    Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
    - Curse
    - Power Whip
    - Knock Off
    - Synthesis

Yeah you'll probably react to this set like the mighty Versace Python Cased did: "nigga how bad is that shit LOL". But it's not meant to be a sweeper: it's more like a support mon if anything. It's a great set to use on Stall (or used to be, whatever). There are a couple of really troublesome pokemon for Stall to face: CroCune and CroManaphy. CurseSaur beats them both, even if it gets burned! It also used to be a cool check to SubPunch M-Mawile because that's really troublesome for Stall as well, and it can get a late-game sweep of sometimes too. Knock Off removes items and stuff, which is cool cuz you can remove Gliscor's Toxic Orb for example in a Stall war! Late game Curse is also cool for surprise clutches or when opposing Stall's Skarm went down etc. Not the greatest set, but definitely better than regular defensive Venusaur on Stall. And just for if you haven't noticed, yes I designed this set to be used on Stall lol.

I deeply encourage you to post some sets of your own, I'm sure you've got some cool ones, especially after the Aegislash ban!

not sure someone posted this or not, but i've get great success with this

    HERE COMES LURE/SCARF VOIR
    [IMG]
    Gardevoir (M) @ Choice Scarf
    Trait: Trace
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 Def (or whatever you want for last evs)
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Trick
    - Moonblast
    - Psyshock / Shadow Ball
    - Focus Blast

Scarf voir is underrated now because of Mega-Voir, thanks to Mega-Voir become a threat, now if your opponent look at voir, they think it will be Mega-Voir, so then they switch to chansey, and voila, their eviolite now switched to scarf!. Thanks to the new speed creep, Scarf-Voir get 427 speed. enough to speed tie with Jolly MegaBee and Timid MegaTile, and outspeed Jolly MegaBunny too .. Trace is good, tracing intimidate, poison heal, or flashfire so it become more easy to switch in. Moonblast is your STAB (you don't have pixilate), Psyshock is your secondary STAB, hitting MegaVenu for SE, but you can change it to Shadow Ball, since psychic now resisted by a lot of common OU. the last is Focus Blast, to make sure you aren't setup fodder by steels. it's Male because it's not your waifu . lel.

Honestly, Scarf Gardevoir seems cool on paper because of the fairy typing alongside good special attack for a scarfer is unique, but it's not that solid in practice. Without a +Speed nature, it fails to outpace pokemon like Mega Loppuny and Mega Manectric. With a +Speed nature, you lose a considerable amount of power. Then, you have to fit the right four moves in. Moonblast and Psyshock are, more or less, staples. Shadow Ball isn't too vital, but it can hit Mega Metagross and Jirachi, nor is Thunderbolt, although it hits Skarmory and some other pokemon that are flying or water type. Focus Blast hits steel types like Ferrothorn, Heatran, Magnezone, Excadrill, and Bisharp (the four former most pokemon resist both of Garde's STABs but are 2hko'd/ohko'd by Focus Blast), but it's reliant upon perfect prediction, prone to missing, and not the best thing for Garde to be locking itself into in an offensive paced game. Additionally, one of Destiny Bond/Trick always should find its way onto a set for crippling / killing irksome threats to your team, so this limits to coverage moreso than it already is and makes the moveset itself a bit of an issue. Couple this with the lack of raw power and ability to function as an OU revenge killer and you just get a mediocre scarfer imo.

    Sigilyph @ Weakness Policy
    Trait: Magic Guard
    EVs: 252 HP / 16 Def / 240 Spd
    Timid Nature
    Cosmic Power
    Stored Power
    Air Slash / Dazzling Gleam
    Roost

A new twist on an established set. After a Cosmic Power, Sigilyph can survive a Knock Off from Dragon Dance Scrafty. With Cosmic Power giving it great bulk, people are forced to target its weaknesses to try and bring it down, which of course activates the Weakness Policy. If Sigilyph has used Cosmic Power once when the Weakness Policy's consumed, it gives Stored Power a whopping 140 power. This decimates anything not resisting it. Air Slash is the reliable STAB, although Dazzling Gleam could be used to hit Dark types harder, notably 2HKOing 252/252 + Malamar at +2. Roost keeps Sigilyph alive longer, letting it set up on weak walls. Since Weakness Policy is a one time use item, this set's best kept for late game.

Two interesting sets from the land of PS :o

    Azelf @ Focus Sash
    Trait: Levitate
    EVs: 184 Atk / 72 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
    - Fire Blast
    - Explosion
    - Skill Swap
    - Stealth Rock

One of the major problems lead Azelf faces is its inability to beat new magic bounce users such as Mega Sableye and Mega Diancie. Skill swap takes away their Magic Bounce, allowing you to set up Stealth Rock vs your opponent and immediately starting to pressure your opponent. Most taunt users don't outrun Azelf anyway so you will be able to set up SR asap turn 1 and proceed to either boom/fire blast/switch out and bring it back in later as fodder. Fire Blast is for steels such as MScizor/Ferrothorn/Bisharp and Explosion is to bring in your breaker immediately to start pressuring your opponent. Skill Swapping away Heatran's flash fire and then absorbing the incoming fire attack is also incredibly fun, especially when you also get the chance to make Heatran or something else take a shitton from a flash fire boosted Fire Blast. The ev spread is to ko standard honko calc mscizor and bisharp iirc, max speed and rest of the evs in attack to give explosion a little oomph.

    BUGZINATOR (Latias) (F) @ Latiasite
    Trait: Levitate
    EVs: 248 HP / 168 Def / 92 Spd
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Whirlpool
    - Roost
    - Reflect Type
    - Dragon Pulse

This seems like a weird set at first glance, but it is a very effective one! This Mega Latias spread is used as a glue on stall teams because of its ability to beat common problematic pokemon for stall such as Landorus-I. Whirlpool allows Latias to lure and trap more problematic stuff such as Crawdaunt and Heatran, and reflect type copies their typing and fucks them over as they are now trapped and they can't beat Latias while their health slowly dwindles due to Whirlpool's residual damage. Roost is for recovering and DPulse is for killing your target faster :] Really fun mon to use and is extremely rewarding when it works according to plan and takes out usually the opponent's only way of beating or denting stall. Latias should be paired with a Toxic Spikes user so that non steels/poisons have their health chipped even faster, and lets Latias deal with even more common stallbreakers such as SubCM Keldeo with no fear. I guess Latias differenciates itself from mega sableye/altaria because it lets you deal with a lot more common stallbreakers bar MGardevoir (but eh you can just run a jirachi and solve that problem). v cool mon to use, try this out :]

I've also used that set in LU to a degree. Another set I've tried today with fantastic resutls:

    Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
    Trait: Poison Heal
    EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 Spd
    Jolly Nature
    Swords Dance
    Rock Polish
    Baton Pass
    Taunt / Substitute / Earthquake

This set turns any physical attacker into an absolute monster. This set is pretty self explanatory. "But why would you use this over Scolipede?" I hear you asking. Well, Gliscor has better bulk and 2 immunities, thus giving it more opportunities to switch in and an easier time setting up. It also packs Taunt to prevent itself and the recipient getting phazed out by Roar and Whirlwind. Physical attackers with good bulk are good recipients - I've had good results with Mega Metagross and Gyarados, although Mega Gallade, Mega Gyarados and Dragonite would work well too.
