Name: Coalition Effect: Grants all Pokemon +100 max HP while in play. Distribution: Aromatisse, Slurpuff Explanation/flavour: Permanent environmental effect like weather used to be etc. Making everything bulkier would be an XY meta i'd like to see, somewhat like GSC style i guess?, and I think the ability fits the spirit of Aromatisse and Slurpuff who were really blatantly built with a "cooperation" idea in mind, in the way they operate, as well as this ability making them actually usable competitively outside of gimmicks. I'd give it to the pre evos but imagine just how insanely that would screw up LC lol. Would probably hugely buff defensive Ghosts and other low HP defensive pokemon - perhaps some setup pokemon might find life easier too.
Disable Device. I posted that first. Erratic Player on Electivire would be absolutely amazing IMO. Passing Shift sounds really amazing too.

So I was bored and thought it would be fun to think of the scenario "What if every Legendary had its own special ability?". Then this happened. Articuno Name: Frigid Wings Effect: Adds a 10% Freeze chance to all attacking moves. This chance stacks with moves that normally have Freeze effects. Moltres Name: Charred Wings Effect: Adds a 10% Burn chance to all attacking moves. This chance stacks with moves that normally have Burn effects. Zapdos Name: Zapped Wings Effect: Adds a 10% Paralysis chance to all attacking moves. This chance stacks with moves that normally have Paralysis effects. Celebi Name: Time Lock Effect: Prevents all other Pokémon from having stats changed. Jirachi Name: Wishmaker Effect: Upon dealing damage, heal 1/12th of the damage dealt. Shaymin Name: Clean Air Effect: Clears all major status conditions at the end of the turn if no weather is in effect. Diancie Name: Quartz Coat Effect: Reduces damage done by Special Attacks by 33%. This was fun to think of, so it'd be nice to see what people come up with!
Suicune Name: Polar Winds Effect: Upon entering the field Suicune lays Tailwind and the effects of both this and manual Tailwind used by Suicune last 5 turns. Entei Name: Volcanic Roar Effect: All sound-based moves Entei uses become Fire-type and have a 33% chance to burn the opponent. Including moves such as Howl. Raikou Name: Lightning Guardian Effect: The damage dealt to all allied Electric-type Pokémon is reduced by 15% while Raikou is active on the field. Including Raikou itself. Lugia Name: Flash Erosion* Effect: Lugia's Flying-type moves become super effective against the Steel- and Rock-types Ho-Oh Name: Ash of Rebirth Effect: When an ally falls in battle, that ally is revived immediately and granted 33% of its HP back. If it had not moved that turn before this effect takes place, then it may take its turn still. This ability can only take effect once per battle and may not target Ho-Oh itself. * Spoiler Much like the birds, it possesses the ability to control the weather; most notably, it can calm and give rise to storms. It is said that a light flutter of its wings is capable of causing winds powerful enough to tear down cliffs. - Bulbapedia
Because these poor guys have never gotten any love, here are a few over the top abilities to finally make them worthy of their legendary title. Let it Rock -Attack is doubled -Moves used by a Pokemon with this ability will never miss -User's stats cannot be lowered Absolute Zero -If the opposing Pokemon remains on the field for 3 consecutive turns, it will faint at the end of the third turn. Does not affect opposing Ice types or Pokemon with Magma Armor. -Water type attacks become Ice type (affects both user and opponent) -Moves that were Ice type to begin with have their power increased by 50% -All Pokemon have a 20% chance of becoming frozen at the end of the turn Balls of Steel -Moves that are super effective against this Pokemon have their damage halved -User never flinches -If the user would be KOed by an attack, it will survive with 1 HP. Only works once. Using Endure negates this effect. -Not affected by the moves Low Kick and Low Sweep Giga Power -Attack and Speed increase 1 stage at the end of each turn -User's Attack cannot be lowered -Giga Impact has no recharge turn
I like the idea of buffing the Regis, however those abilities are all OP as hell. Some more balanced abilities: Ability: Rock Repair (not the best name I know) If the user takes no damage in a turn, it regains 33.3% of its max HP at the end. Doesn't work on the turn the user's switched in. Passive damage stops Rock Repair. Ability: Frost Guard Moves that don't make contact have their power reduced by 50%. Moves that do make contact gain 20% power. Also affects fixed damage moves - Seismic Toss does 120 damage, Night Shade does 50, Super Fang takes 75% HP, Dragon Rage and Sonic Boom do 20 and 10 damage respectively. Ability: Iron Body Moves that make contact have their power reduced by 50%. Moves that don't make contact gain 20% power. Also affects fixed damage moves. Ability: Determination Attack stat can't be lowered. Burns don't reduce user's Attack, but still do damage. Bypasses Reflect. Ability: All rounder All attacking moves that don't do fixed damage gain 30% power. However, user no longer gets STAB.
Regigigas already has a signature ability :| Meloetta Name: Clear Voice Effect: Moves ignore any modifications to defensive stats, including items, boosting moves or what have you. Meloetta-P Name: Perfect Form Effect: This Pokémon cannot be Burned, Paralysed, Poisoned or Frozen. Manaphy Name: Ocean Royalty Effect: In rain, boosts Special Attack by 50%. Phione Name: Sea Guardian Effect: In rain, defenses are boosted by 33%.
Cresselia Name: Atumbra Effect: Lunar Dance has a chance to not kill the user, but still take effect. The chance is equal to half of the user's current percentage of HP. Weather conditions reduce this chance by an additional 15%. Notes: At 100% HP, there's a 50% chance your Cresselia will fully heal an ally without dying. Genesect (Ability changes based on Drive.) Name: Inferior Technology (No Drive) Effect: Genesect deals 30% more damage to targets holding items as long as it does not hold one itself. If Genesect is holding an item, damage decreases by 20% and 20% more damage is taken from all attacks. Techno Blast ignores the damage reduction. Expected Usage: Like Life Orb without drawback. Pretty much anything can use this, as long as you don't knock off spam with team mates. Name: Heating Coil (Burn) Effect: All Steel-type contact moves have a 20% chance to burn the opponent instead of their usual secondary effect. User is burned after the end of the 3rd turn. If the user is burned, it cannot select any damage dealing moves. Fire-type attacks deal reduced damage based on the time left till overheating. Techno Blast has a 1/3 chance to burn. Notes: Burn would result in an effect similar to the opposite of Assault Vest. The Fire-type reduction is 75% with 3 turns left, 55% with 2, and 40% with 1 turn. Expected Usage: Iron Head spam. U-Turn out right before you get burned. Name: Liquid Cooling (Douse) Effect: When the opponent uses a Water-type attack, Speed increases by 1 stage. When a Water-type Pokemon is killed, Speed is increased by 2 stages. Genesect's speed cannot be reduced below +0 and does not suffer a penalty from paralysis. If Genesect's speed is maxed, each additional stage of Speed will recover 1/3 of its max HP. Techno Blast increase's the user's speed by 1 stage. Notes: The Water-type attack does not have to hit, but cannot be impeded by Storm Drain, Protect, etc. Expected Usage: If it stays out long enough it has somewhat decent recovery with Techno Blast. Name: Tesla Coil (Shock) Effect: Attacks can no longer paralyze, but deal increased damage based on their former paralysis chance. Techno Blast's damage increases by 20%. Notes: Zap Cannon damage increased by 100%, Thunder damage increased by 30%, Thunderbolt increased by 10% and Secret Power increased by 30%. Tri-Attack can still burn or freeze and still gains 20% damage. Expected Usage: Zap Cannon spam. Maybe Mind Reader to score some nice KOs, but also makes it very predictable. Kyogre and Lugia wall busting. Spoiler: Calcs 252 SpA Tesla Coil Genesect Zap Cannon vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Kyogre: 282-332 (69.9 - 82.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery 252 SpA Tesla Coil Genesect Zap Cannon vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Primal Kyogre: 328-386 (95.9 - 112.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock 252 SpA Tesla Coil Genesect Zap Cannon vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Multiscale Lugia: 170-200 (40.8 - 48%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery 252 SpA Tesla Coil Genesect Zap Canon vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Lugia: 340-400 (81.7 - 96.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock Name: Flash Freeze (Chill) Effect: Contact moves have a 20% chance to flinch, but damage is reduced by 10%. If the move has increased priority, the flinch chance increases by 10% per bracket, but damage decreases 15% as well. If it is hailing, damage reduction does not apply and Genesect does not take hail damage. Techno Blast has a 30% chance to flinch. Notes: Quick attack would have 30% flinch but 25% less damage and Extreme Speed would have 40% flinch but 40% less damage. Expected Usage: Extreme Speed spam combined with passive damage would be best.
