Assault Armor: Raises Defense, but only allows the use of attacking moves. - Assault Vest for Def, seems viable on many AV users. Retreat Vest: Raises SpDef, but only allows the use of "other" category moves that do not harm an opponent (status, stat reduction). - Would turn SR suicide leads into much tankier SR suicide leads, and turn Wish clerics into much tankier Wish clerics. exceptions added to prevent Toxic stall with 600+ Sp.Def Retreat Armor: " Def " - see above. Would make Wish/Heal Bell/Protect Blissey more well balanced and more viable than Chancey.
DNA Scraper: Doubles the power of the move that is selected first but faints the user.If the opponent uses Protect or Detect then the move will fail but the user will faint. If the opponent has an immunity to the move still the user will faint. Cold Jelly: If the user is hit by Fire types moves it's attack,Sp.Att. and Speed will raise by +2.
The posts need work. Lunchbox: Provides 12.5% healing (in the same format as leftovers) for 5 turns. After the 5th heal the item is expended (like a berry) Panacea: Cures all status ailments and "mental effects" (those cured by Mental Herb). Yes it's a combination of Lum and Mental Herb with a cool name. Trapeze: Boosts the power of Acrobatics by 1/3 in addition to Acrobatics' natural 2x boost as it ignores this item's presence when calculating boosts. Marionette Strings: When the holder is behind a substitute the substitute will attack with them (it would act exactly the same as Parental Bond)
Small Battery: Allows moves like Hyper Beam to be used without needing a turn to recharge. Consumed after one use. Big Battery: Allows moves like Hyper Beam to be used without needing a turn to recharge. Decreases speed by 1 stage, but is not consumed after use.
But then Mawile wouldn't have Huge Power?... There should be a berry that stops Flinch. Or just add it to the Lum Berry's effs. Finally my Doubles team will be invincible!!
EDIT: I didn't know this was already a thing lol. Oops. xD Item name: Ignorance Bracer Effect: Boosts the holder's Defence by one stage, but negates their ability. This one would be uber useful, bringing the likes of Regigigas and Slaking to actually threatening levels, not to mention combining well with Trick for crippling ability reliant 'mons like Azumarill, Talonflame, Nidoking, etc. Also useful because we have the AssVest for a free SDef boost, but nothing that boosts Defence. And another: Item name: Dizzy Anklet Effect: Causes the opponent to spin upon entering the battlefield, but keeps them in a constant state of confusion. This would be a brilliant Rapid Spin substitute, working against literally everything that isn't a Ghost-type switching in beforehand. Balanced out by confusing the holder in exchange for the free spin, and that could be subverted by using an Own Tempo 'mon like Lilligant or Lickilicky.
Item Name: Endurance Cloth Effect: Boosts the holder's defense and special defense by two stages upon getting hit by a super effective move. Pretty much a Weakness Policy but dedicated to defenses. Item Name: Spiky Armour Effect: Increases the power of flinching moves by 20%, but reduces the flinch rate of said moves by 10%. Fake Out is not affected because it's main purpose is to flinch, so this is an exception.
Name: Tricky Broom Effect: Increases the users speed by 20%. The user takes 12.5% damage at the end of each turn.
Item Name: RNGesus Effect: Increase odds of secondary move effects happening by a fixed 10%. E.g. Scald would have a 40% burn rate, rather than 33%.
Item Name: Power Absorber Effect: This item will take effect if the user is about to use a move that requires a turn charge (Namely solarbeam, sky attack, skull bash, etc), if the opponent is switching to a pokemon that has a type resistant to the opposing move's type, the item will cause the user to not throw the attack on the next turn, but instead the user absorbs the energy they gathered on the move and increases either it's attack or special attack stat by 3 stages (the stat raised will depend on the type of move, if its a special move it will increase special attack and if its physical it will increase attack stat, this does not take effect on geomancy). Kind of an odd item to come up with but hey! It has a creative effect :]
Name: Normal Scarf Effect: Reduces the power of Normal attacks that target the user by 25%. Simlarly, Fighting Scarf, Fairy Scarf etc. all do the same but with their respective type. Name: Cow Bell Effect: Raises the Attack and Speed of Miltank and Tauros by 50%. Name: Enhanced DNA Effect: Boosts the stats of a transformed Pokemon by 33%. Name: Expert Sash Effect: Increases the power of a Super-Effective move by 66%. Consumed after use.
Rainbow Crest: When held by Ho-Oh negates all passive damage Silver Crest: Same as above for Lugia Yang Stone: When held by Reshiram, its STAB moves get a 50% power boost (stacks with STAB) - however, moves of other types lose 30% power. Yin Stone: Same as above for Zekrom Wuji Stone: Same as above for Kyurem Nitro Canister: Gives a +1 boost to all stats (including accuracy and evasion) - however if the opponent stays in battle for more than 2 turns it explodes, KOing the holder and damaging all adjacent opponents with a 250 base power physical Normal type Attack. Pokémon with Damp get the boosts, but it won't explode.
Moon Tear: Increases Lunatone's Special Defense and Special Attack by 50%. Sun Smile: Increases Solrock's Defense and Attack by 50%. When both are present on a team, stats of all team members are increased by 33%, regardless of which Pokemon is holding it. The effect is lost if either item is removed or the holder has fainted. The effect does not stack with multiple items. Lunar Peach: Heals Cresselia's HP for 12.5% of max at the end of the turn. Guts Band: When inflicted with a status, raises the power of Physical moves by 20%, and ignores the halved attack from burn. Elusive Stone: Doubles the encounter rate of rare Pokémon when held by the party member at the front. Explosive Orb: When this item is tricked, stolen, or knocked off, the culprit loses half of its health.
