The draw button was in my opinion a god solution. We all know that hax is a bitch, and in extremely rough battles, we actually get a chance to show other people that we care about this part, and that we want to get rid of it. it's not controlling us. It is possible to draw on the DS, so why shouldn't it be here?

Also, bout clanmates drawing each others, I think this would get worse lol. I don't mind forfeiting against a friend, idgaf about ladder rankings atm.

Why not to lose a fixed amount of points (with the option for the server hoster to choose the chosen amount) in case of asking and obtaining draw?

Or a variabile amount, depending on the win/loss points at the end of the match?
Half of the points obtainable in case of the win? The average between the win points of the 2 players involved?
    An average between win/loss absolutes?

Excuse me for asking, but what are the effects of drawing? I was under the impression that no one gains or loses anything. After reading this, it seems I am mistaken.

The logic expressed by most of the people in this thread is very flawed. It's like:

"Thing A is working imperfectly, lets solve the problem removing it instead of fixing it."

Following that thread we can affirm too for example:

"The sprites in the Teambuilder are showing imperfectly, lets solve the problem removing the sprites of theambuilder, instead of fix them."

    See where i'm going?
Until now, the only people what gave suggestions to fix the problem are:

I like specially the 2 option, and i think is also the most obvious answer to the Score boosting problem.

Not my type of ideal answer, but meh.

2 and 3 seems like very good ideas for me (specially the 2 ftlog)

I'm opposed about the Draw button only appearing in a certain condition, I think it can be available always but thats only my opinion.

PO needs to stay user friendly. If you start messing up conventional tools in PO, you will only stir the pot. In my own experience with the draw button, it has proven useful in those long "Start of turn 356, the foe's Snorlax used Rest" matches. Also a few times I have accidentally started the wrong team on a ladder alt or I have accidentally used a social alt instead of a test one to ladder. I personally like to keep my social alts clean of ladder points. Also the draw feature is part of many clans "draw with clanmate" rule. PO is a social game as well as a strategic one, please remember that.

The draw button has worked since PO launched and imo SHOULD stay in part. Don't blame the tool, blame the one using the tools. Fix the bug and there would be no need to dump an important part of PO's user friendly atmosphere. Continue with a motto of making PO more user friendly should be at the forefront for you developers. Fix the bug and don't fix what isn't broken.

If the abusable bug has already been resolved then sorry for the thread bump. c:

Terrible idea, especially for old gens (RBY, GSC, ADV), where a game that never ends is possible

How did I miss this thread until now? M Dragon is right, old gens have ties (albeit rarely, but still a significant number of battles), and removing draws would be bad. I doubt draws are seriously the root of the problem here.

I agree with M Dragon/Jorgen that removing draws is a bad idea I have started battles with a LC team in NU on accident before and people are usually kind enough to give a draw, also I occasionally start a battle only to get called for dinner or something the option to draw is much appreciated in those situations. Finally and most importantly like what M Dragon said it's completely possible to get into battles that plain don't end having a draw button for those is very appreciated. As Jorgen said draws aren't the root of the problem the root of the problem are the people that try to abusing the system solution: don't let people draw if it's not reasonably early in the battle and be vigilant of boosters.
