Man i guess running from dingos since age 6 gives you god-tier passing shots. Spoiler And Italy's jynx takes place. After winning the World Cup, the champion now faces a catastrophic performance, just like Squadra Azzurra in 2010.
Haha , i think they deserved to win in fairness , worst rated team putting holland against the wall :)
Uruguay 2-1 England Well England really disappointed me with their performance but congrats to Rooney for getting his first World Cup Goal. Suarez really played well in that match and congrats to Uruguay for the win.
Did not see Algeria beating Korea Republic 4-2 Definitely rooting for Japan to pick up a win and advance in their group. also this Spoiler
japan blew it by not beating greece, frankly if you can't score one goal versus a ten man team that is decidedly mediocre, then you really don't deserve to go any farther america tho :[ it's still a good result though, i really favor the US going through as the way portugal are playing right now i don't think they will be able to get a result v. ghana
Definitely agree they should have won that game easily. Some terrible teams will get to move on just because they're slightly better than other terrible teams. Like Argentina's group is Argentina and random shit team moving on. Really wish Bosnia & Herzegovina did better, but oh well, good enough for a first ever world cup! Glad to see the US doing "well" though, if I can't cheer for my country, our neighbours to the south will have to do :]
Im more worried about Ghana making it over us than Portugal. I expect Portugal to continue to struggle in their final game and all Ghana needs is a 2 goal win with a Germany win to advance. I really hope that the US game is defensive and neither team pushes forward, since a draw would benefit both. Either way it should be interesting come Thursday.
The fact that Neymar had to leave the WC with a fractured vertebra makes me fucking sick. Brazil - Colombia derailed into one of the foulest games I've ever seen. The referee should've been way more strict and given out a lot more cards. All the fouls comitted on Neymar every match eventually culminated into him fracturing his vertebra and it makes me really sad. That said, tomorrow is Argentina - Belgium and I'm still really excited for that. Belgium could make semi finals for the second time in its history.
Belgium- Argentina will be a fantastic match. Hope the Reds stop under performing now, considering the fact that they have one of the most talented teams. Lukaku and Co. need to step up along with Kompany and Vertonghen. Argentina looks pretty good, and their so called weak defense has done pretty good . Messi and Di Maria are in form. This will be one of the whoopers. CANT WAIT.
That's definitely going to be a great game, hope Beljam wins, but I'm predicting 2-1 Argentina. Netherlands and Costa Rica is going to be another great one to watch. Germany defo beating Brazil next match, imo this is Germany's world cup :]
Dissapointing performance. The only good game from the Belgians was vs the USA :[ All in all this was their first WC and hopefully we'll be stronger the next one! I hope we can continue to grow in the EC 16.
WHO SAID THAT? IT WAS ME G-E-R! G-E-R! G-E-R! G-E-R! AT'TA BOY KLOSE YOU LEGEND, WELL DESERVED WE DINE ON THE TEARS OF BRAZILIAN'S TONIGHT
Hey, the USA lost 1-0 to Germany. Not trying to imply anything, but....Brazil was an overrated pile of shit from the start. Brazilian fans will FINALLY sit the fuck down.
Lmao they have to play again on Saturday. Just imagine them losing to Argentina in that losers' final
Brazil looked like the Broncos during the Super Bowl. Seriously though, Germany STRONGTH. They came to play. They came to show why they have made history with four straight World Cup semi finals appearances and they do not want to leave empty handed this time!
Error 404: Brazil defence not found Rihanna summed up the match pretty nicely though I think we all feel for Brazil :/
Hope you're not implying the US would have any chance of defeating Brazil (without Neymar and Thiago), because that would be a bit too farfetch'd~~
Ah revenge, I always hated Brasil since they lost in purpose against Norway in 1998 WC so that Norway passes to the second round along with Brasil, the team that was supposed to qualify was Morocco (ah memories of glory).
Congratulations to Germany. That was a really classy goal to end the tournament. Also US and Argentina both lost to Germany 1-0 so USA = Argentina!
Have you guys seen the "FIFA is Corrupt" twitter postings yesterday? https://twitter.com/FifNdhs got a good laugh out of me haha Now that the World Cup is over I can start watching my TFC again :]
Messi getting Golden Ball was stunning, but there really wasn't anyone better if you think about it… and it's hard to give it to James if he loses in 1/8th because he's at home lol Anyway, Germnay def deserved it. Argentina put up a great match /finally/ but Germany deserved it more imo
Figure this would be a good thread to discuss the current transfer window. Van Gaal would very much benefit from grabbing Daley Blind, Stefan De Vrij and Mats Hummels to fill in the gaps that have been left in Man Utd's defence with recent departures. I also feel that they need another playmaker to replace Giggs in midfield. Juan Cuadrado or maybe Xherdan Shaqiri would be good in that department. Robben would be an interesting acquisition to pair with Rooney and Van Persie with Hernandez set to leave also, especially with the unlimited budget Van Gaal supposedly has. The future looks a lot brighter for Manchester United with a top tier manager directing the team. Also, Swansea need another striker to replace Michu and pair with Bony, who seems to be staying with Swansea with Remy's signing to Liverpool.
well well well Giggs is a playmaker he makes the game while Cuadrado or Shaqiri are just the finalizers specially Shaqiri, Cuadrado is a great external
Shaqiri does have other uses though, and I will agree that Cuadrado is the better play-maker of the two. He's one of the more underrated players of the World Cup, overshadowed (rightfully so though) by James. The main priority should be defence at the moment though. Once that is sorted out, Van Gaal should turn his attention to the midfield. Robben would be nice, but he's not a necessity. Also, with James Rodriguez's transfer to Real Madrid, they now have Modric, Benzema, Rodriguez, Kroos, Bale and Ronaldo as their attacking force.
Shevchenko? Torres? Carroll? I'll admit that Bale hasn't lived up to expectations, but he's hardly the worst flop ever as you describe him, especially if you consider the tougher competition he has faced this year.
oh wow Shevchenko is one of the best striker ever, Torres after the accident fell down and Carrol, yes, very very bad
