Ok, so after the recent posts in the LC general thread, this should come as a surprise to none of you.

    Suspect discussion rules apply.

Me + Weavile both feel that this was a terrible idea and that berry juice is really broken and I'm sure a lot of people who've played the tier recently do so too. Unless things go astray in this thread in the form of you lot arguing why it should be kept , the hopeful plan is to get rid of it at the start of next month with the rest of the normal tier updates.

Please don't discuss about yanma unless you feel it has a direct impact on how "broken" berry juice is.

Despite my check finding in the General thread I do think Berry Juice in conjunction with Smashers is a very unhealthy thing for the meta at the moment. This was an oversight and mistake by Fitzy and I, and I apologise for that. While I don't appreciate some of your attitudes and manners I owe that much at least!

So Berry Juice; main use is Smashers as we all know, full heals both Dwebble and Turtle when they are preserved by Sturdy, this is stopped activating by Stealth Rocks providing you can either KO the Pokémon from ~87.5 or 75% depending on if it's Turtle or Dwebble. That, with Turtle especially is a difficult thing to do. So you take it down to 7/21 hp or something, it heals to 21 with Berry juice and gains its portable focus sash. If you're running a Snover this is less of a worry though. Both turtle and Dwebble are more easily taken down by priority moves after a Smash, naturally so, but their sheer power allows them to rip through just about everything else. Turtle also has more than sufficient defense to survive physical priority with little trouble at -1, even if it's a Mach Punch.

Just a couple lines, I need to go to bed and I'm sure you guys would be happy to do more.

Berry Juice needs to be banned IMO. You can give it to Dwebble and it virtually guarantees it gets multiple layers of hazards down, or makes the Shell Smash set much harder to stop since it reactivates Sturdy. Tirtouga can use it to great effect too.

I'm basically agreeing with all that has been said, it's painfully difficult to deal with, and the smashers plow through teams. I know I have said that I wouldn't mind it going a little further to see if more checks can be found, but it's getting to the point where it just needs to go

Getting rid of it is the best idea, i've been seeing way too much ss + berry juice now. Last month Dwebble was at around 10% usage, and has already risen to 18% in 3 weeks! Tirtouga was at 2% last month and now at 8%. It wasn't a good idea in the first place, and I feel like most of us saw this coming.

Shell smash is a threat in it of itself, and gets hard to deal with when you have to switch out and give them a free shell smash without it having berry juice.
But with berry juice they get two sturdies, so they dont need to worry about missing a OHKO, and if you switch out cause you cant touch them, they can get +4 and still have sturdy.

And this also goes another way, normally shell smashers need a free switch in, like after a KO or with a slow u turn or volt switch, now they can switch in and be fine enough to shell smash.

Now double this and you get a double smash core. One smasher gets at least one kill per match, probably more.

Yeah, there is one check i mentioned to Syan, and he's gone all out with it: wooper.
It walls then because of unaware but quite frankly its like psyduck and sand, not really worth using otherwise. And i repeat, its only one mon.

Now there is the arguement of set rocks so they cant use sturdy and just OHKO, but who wants to set rocks when they are gonna shell smash on you there, so they are at +1, full health, and have berry juice
they can smash again and end up and full health while you attack or they can sweep you with two sturdies in reserve.

Ohh yeah, there's axew but thats just something Syan spat out while theorymoning, dont use it.
