    Tier changes:

    From OU to UU
    Blissey
    Reuniclus

    From UU to OU
    Nothing

    From UU to LU
    Dusclops
    Gastrodon

    From LU to UU

    Nidoqueen
    Tornadus

First thing I want to say is that Orcelot has decided to step down from his position. So I decided to take over UU, again. You guys are fucked.

    Anyways, back to business.

Both Blissey and Reuniclus decided to drop. Is pretty damn obvious they are going to have a huge impact in the tier. Blissey is going to become, without any doubt, the best special wall in the tier (RIP Umbreon), it might not be as bulky as Chansey but it can still take a beating without going down and unlike its prevo Blissey can use Leftovers. Reuniclus in the other hand will give problems to most stallish teams with its combination of bulk, Calm Mind and Magic Guard, also its OTR will be feared by offensive teams thanks to the combination of Trick Room, extremely low speed and huge Special Attack. Note that neither is going to get autobanned or autosuspected, so don't ask.

Finally both Nidoqueen and Tornadus are getting the usage they deserve, however their offensive sets (Tornadus' special one) won't enjoy the drop of the pink blob.

Both Gastrodon and Dusclops dropped to LU. The former dropping doesn't really surprise me, it was good in UU but nothing special. The only thing I can say about Dusclops dropping is "finally the pos dropped".

Well that's all. Note that tier changes haven't happened on the server yet, but soon they will.

Reuniclus will be a remarkable counter to HO teams with Trick Room.
Blissey won't be broken in any tier, it will perform fairly well in UU though, due to Chandelure's presence.

Nice to see Nidoqueen and Tornadus rising, Tornadus is a great partner with Kingdra, and Nidoqueen is a brilliant Anti-meta pokemon.

Gastrodon really couldn't compete with the remaining bulky water in UU. Hopefully it will be better off in LU with Lanturn and co.
Dusclops was outclassed by Cofagrigus. It will not be missed by me.

oshit, Chandys gonna get less usage xD but seriously, Reuniclus? e.e

Also, Umbreon still got usage. It's the best way to counter ghost types like mismagius, who can easily take a hit from Blissey, and is immune to it's seismic tosses! But seriously, I don't play Smogon UU bcoz of Roserade/Froslass and Chansey, and now we suddenly got lissey? e.e

LU - Glad Tornadus and Nidoqueen are gone, should make LU a bit more fresh.

Dusclops is a good wall, but when its in direct competition with Misdreavus, Golurk, and its evolution Dusknoir, i cant imagine it will get much usage. Gastrodon is a nice mon, good special wall or a nice specs set, and should pair very nicely with my boy Bouffalant.

UU - Holy mother of god, with Reuniclus dropping, trick room teams are going to see a serious surge in popularity, and its calm mind set is incredibly threatening, gonna have to use Escavalier or Spiritomb to try and keep it in check.

Blissey is just a better Umbreon, and im sure it will be annoying, but dealt with in very much the same way you deal with Umbreon, so wont be too difficult i hope.

Reuniclus is already amazing in OU. It's sad that our userbase doesn't seem to get that and use Reun.
Anyway, Reuniclus has two sets - Calm Mind and Trick Room. The Calm Mind set being Physically Defensive and the Trick Room being Specially Offensive.
Both of these sets can really tear a whole in the UU metagame, imo.
Lets just look at a /few/ calcs:
    Trick Room set:
252 SAtk Positive Nature Life Orb Magic Guard Reuniclus's Psyshock (80 BP) Against
252 HP / 252 Def Positive Nature Natural Cure Blissey.
    Probable Damage: 329 - 387 (46.08% - 54.2% of 714 HP).
    100% chance to 3HKO.
This is assuming it runs this spread and not 4 HP / 252 SDef / 252 Def, I don't know which one's used more.
252 SAtk Positive Nature Life Orb Magic Guard Reuniclus's Focus Blast (120 BP) Against
252 HP / 252 SDef Positive Nature Synchronize Umbreon.
    Probable Damage: 218 - 257 (55.33% - 65.23% of 394 HP).
    100% chance to 2HKO.
Clean 2HKO - if it hits - very strong.
252 SAtk Positive Nature Life Orb Magic Guard Reuniclus's Focus Blast (120 BP) Against
252 HP / 252 SDef Positive Nature Levitate Bronzong.
    Probable Damage: 118 - 140 (34.91% - 41.42% of 338 HP).
    100% chance to 3HKO.
With Bronzong having no viable recovery moves outside of rest and not being able to retaliate, a 3HKO isn't something to take for granted.
252 SAtk Positive Nature Life Orb Magic Guard Reuniclus's Focus Blast (120 BP) Against
144 HP / 176 SDef Positive Nature Thick Fat Snorlax.
    Probable Damage: 260 - 307 (52.31% - 61.77% of 497 HP).
    100% chance to 2HKO.
Another 2HKO - on standard restalklax - with Focus Blast (assuming it hits.)

And then there's the CM set:
252 Atk Neutral Nature Moxie Heracross's Megahorn (120 BP) Against
252 HP / 252 Def Positive Nature Magic Guard Reuniclus.
    Probable Damage: 330 - 390 (77.83% - 91.98% of 424 HP).
    100% chance to 2HKO.
    Ouch. But, it does survive.
252 Atk Positive Nature Choice Band Thick Fat Snorlax's Crunch (80 BP) Against
252 HP / 252 Def Positive Nature Magic Guard Reuniclus.
    Probable Damage: 222 - 262 (52.36% - 61.79% of 424 HP).
    100% chance to 2HKO.
Well, it does 2hko but, Focus Blast'll do a bit in return and unless it Pursuit's - you can switch out.
Overall, Reuniclus will be brilliant in UU.

    Onto the pink blob.
It has amazing special bulk, sure. However, it cannot stand up to the ever-so-comon fighting types (Heracross / Mienshao.)
I wonder if it'll impact the metagame solely because of amazing special bulk or, if it'll see decent usage, but nothing too special.
    Only time will tell.

Reuniclus is going to be a big threat for sure. As Afro said, TR teams are going to be a lot more popular now. I can't say from the get-go if Reuniclus will be considered over-powered, but I'll be finding out soon.

I'm going to hate Blissey in UU. It's probably not going to be nearly as bad as Chansey, which was able to tank non-banded Close Combats, but being able to still wall literally everything on the special side (which is a great counter for Chandy I guess,) along with larger wishpasses and leftovers recovery, it's going to be a gigantic pain. SubCM Mismagius might be a lot better since Blissey can't do anything to it, so that'll be cool.

First I saw Blissey dropped to UU and I was like "Yes! My stall team is going to be unbeatable now!" But then I saw Reuniclus and realized my whole team is now useless ._. Oh well. At least Chandelure is going to disappear which is good. Way too overpowered for UU.

I can see Reuniclus fitting into UU but I don't think Bliss will be hanging around for long. As long as Blissey is in the tier there will probably be a huge spike in Sub CM/Sub Plot/CM Rest sets to keep special attackers viable. We could also see lures like Superpower Nidoking or Mixdra, but I think those will be less common.

Personally I'm really excited for Reuniclus, a great asset to offense. But that threat is offset by Blissey, one of the main reasons why I enjoyed BW UU because of the lack of blobs... Well, we're prepared for Snorlax and Umbreon, so I wouldn't really think Blissey would be that bad, especially considering Heracross + Mienshao. Wish + Protect might be more popular than Softboiled because of Mienshao, I feel. Also, another thing to deal with Chandelure, which is noteworthy.

Hmm well^^ I second windblown's thoughts about the pink blob. Its seriously an irritant though.

Reuniclus seriously needs to go its too powerful. I honestly hope it gets a suspect discussion/instaban.

Yeah, that's cool, now we can rename UU on Stall tier.I don't think people will use something except Blissey, Reuniclius, Slowbro, Snorlax and two sweepers. Great changes!

Maybe I was missing something, but wasn't CM Reuniclus's big selling point its ability to flatten stall teams?

On second thought and after numerous testing, I believe Blissey really needs to go. Its giant wishes can heal almost all pokemen to 100%. these pokemon also include really bulky walls such as slowbro, slowking, gligar, amoonguss(almost), porygon2 and more.

Blissey In >> Uses wish, while I switch heracross in >> switch to gligar, gligar gets 100%, my hera gets cockblocked

Blissey is a bad idea, will post a better argument after further tests and research.

I am now very upset over the two strong stall pokemon in UU. This is going to be quite a bit of trouble for offensive teams and stall teams will surge. As well as trick room.

    I agree with that.
However, the Calm Mind set can also be Stall's best friend. (Assuming it's on stall and not against stall.)
Both of Reuniclus's sets do a number to stall, though.
Snorlax / Umbreon are both 2hko'd by LO Modest / CM Boosted Focus Blast. LO Psychock / CM Boosted attacks beats Blissey, the new special wall.
Nothing really is a hard stop. Sure, pokemon like CB Heracross (even scarf hera will do it to offensive Reun) that can revenge it outside of trick room.
However, the damage is already done by then.

basically we must remove reuniclus to make stall viable? then we must remove blissey to make everything else viable since reuniclus cant check/counter it anymore?

sounds like we're going in circles here. I say ban them both.

EDIT: will post anti-blissey argument later

Sableye and Spiritomb are solid stops to Reuniclus, unless it runs something stupid like Shadow Ball. But if it does that, it has to sacrifice something valuable. I see Sableye going up in usage, and Spiritomb maybe seeing some decent usage too.

Shadow Ball is perfectly viable. It gets perfect neutral coverage alongside Focus Blast, and hits opposing Psychic types (bar Bronzong and Metagross) hard.

While that's true, Reuniclus has trouble making room for it, what with Calm Mind, Trick Room, Recover, Psyshock and Focus Blast already pushing it.

On the Calm Mind set, it can't afford to make room for Shadow Ball. However, the Trick Room set can easily use it. Once Trick Room's been set up, it's hardly going to waste time Calm Minding. The Trick Room set usually works like this:

    Trick Room
    Psychic/Shock
    Focus Blast
    Shadow Ball/ HP Fire

Since it's meant to sweep late game, it doesn't need Recover.

Spiritomb is a great check to any Reuniclus. Here are some calcs:

    252Atk Choice Band Spiritomb (+Atk) Sucker Punch vs 252HP/0Def Reuniclus (Neutral): 101% - 120% (432 - 510 HP). Guaranteed OHKO.

    252SpAtk Life Orb Reuniclus (+SAtk) Shadow Ball vs 252HP/0SpDef Spiritomb (Neutral): 37% - 44% (114 - 135 HP). Guaranteed 3HKO.

CM Reuniclus gets totally walled as mentioned before. Trick Room Reuniclus fails to 2HKO even with Life Orb, and it won't even get two hits on Spiritomb because of Sucker Punch. Pursuit on switching Reuniclus is a guaranteed OHKO as well. Even bulky sets can guarantee a 2HKO with as little as 28 Atk EV's:

    28Atk Spiritomb (Neutral) Sucker Punch vs 252HP/0Def Reuniclus (Neutral): 50% - 59% (212 - 252 HP). Guaranteed 2HKO.

All that being said, Reuniclus will probably go back to OU. That might take a while though as nobody seems to use it yet. I guess when people start to realize the true power of stall with Blissey they'll start using Reuniclus.

Just wanted to say Blissey doesn't really counter Chandelure because it can't do shit to it besides Toxic or the rare Thunderbolt. If it does have them it can still be fucked by Sub[CM] or a choice item tricked on to it...

I think Blissey is here to stay, seeing that UU mainly plays spikestacking, and with enough offensive presence, Blissey might not have the chance to heal itself. The sheer number of powerful fighting types such as mienshao and heracross can really put a complete stop to blissey. That being said, stall or semi-stall will see more use seeing that Blissey usually forms the defensive backbone of the team being able to support the team with Stealth Rock/Heal Bell/Toxic/Para/Wish support.

On the other hand, reuniclus might have to be given the boot back to BL, seeing that its great bulk and special attack allows it to tank hits and recover off the damage with recover. Magic Guard is really an added bonus, being immune to status/hazards etc. It is already hard enough to kill or even dent reuniclus in OU, much less UU. UU does see more bug/ghost/dark types being used, but that should not stop from it rampaging past a team. With a CM under its belt, it can proceed to demolish teams with its sheer power.
Oh and who is going to be the new OU gym badge if reuniclus leaves?

After some thought, I think Roserade should be test unbanned from Wifi UU.

The metagame has evolved a lot since the banning. We've had the implementation of BW2, the addition of Metagross, Reuniclus and Blissey to UU, and a huge change in usage stats. Obviously, Roserade is still going to be a massive force in the metagame, but it is going to be far from broken.

Let's first take into account its ability to spike stack, which was one of the main reasons it was banned. I can agree that Spikes are very important in deciding the outcome of the battle, and with Roserade's above average bulk, they are easy to stack. However, I can think of at least 4 ways to stop Roserade from causing damage with entry hazards: Rapid Spin, Magic Bounce, Taunt and Revenge Killing.

Now, in most people's opinion, the 3 most valuable Rapid Spinners in UU are Blastoise, Hitmontop and Claydol. For obvious reasons, Blastoise and Claydol have trouble with handling Roserade toe to toe, but Hitmontop doesn't do too badly. It can't take too many hits from the offensive set, but what a lot of people fail to notice is that the offensive set rarely has Spikes (in fact, it is illegal with at least Leaf Storm and Sleep Powder). One on one, Hitmontop can usually take hits from defensive Roserade and proceed to rapid spin hazards away. If you're still not convinced, and still think Offensive Spiking Roserade is a threat, try Cryogonal. I'm not trolling, this thing is actually pretty good in UU, it has a nice moveset, and it's very good against Zapdos. But it can take most hits from offensive Roserade, and at best, Rapid Spin and outspeed the defensive form, letting it hit it with super-effective STAB, therefore making it almost a true counter. Even Blastoise and Claydol are not completely useless as they can Rapid Spin when Roserade is not in use/dead.

Next up, Magic Bounce. This is high risk, but very high return. Specially Defensive Xatu can withstand a few hits from Rade, and if they predict it correctly, it can potentially cause hazard stacking on the opponent's side of the field. Xatu is by no means a true counter to Rade, but it can hold its own 1 on 1.

Taunt Crobat (which may I add, is a counter to the offensive set), and Taunt Mismagius both natural outspeed Roserade and can taunt it, shutting down its options. Taunt Crobat can easily take hits, even from the offensive set, and Mismagius's great special bulk allows it to take hits too.

Finally, revenge killing. A base 55 defence makes Roserade EXTREMELY easy to revenge kill by means of Physical Attack. Any of the tiers main physical fire types (Victini, Arcanine and Darmanitan) all naturally outspeed it and can easily kill it before it gets any hazards up. Crobat is also able to one shot Roserade with Brave Bird. Moxie Heracross can cause Roserade problems with Megahorn. Weavile can outspeed and kill with Ice Punch or +2 Ice Shard. Almost any physical attacker can either outspeed and kill, or take a hit and kill, especially if Rade has lost HP. Special Attackers can also kill it if weakened enough.

Coupled with these 4 stops to spikestacking, and Roserade doesn't look like such a threat.

As for Roserade's other positives, it has a good, wide movepool (although this is plagued with illegal combinations), a great ability and good overall stats, especially in Special Attack. Now let's focus on the offensive set for a bit. What can take hits from it. As evidenced from above, unless Roserade is using Extrasensory (very rare), Crobat is a great counter to this set. As mentioned above, it is also easily revenge killed; even with Max Speed, Any Jolly Darmanitan, Victini or Arcanine outspeeds it. Another interesting counter is Chandelure, resisting all of the common moves on the set. Metagross also either resists or is immune to both STABS, although it needs to be careful of HP Fire. Blissey can take hits, and has Natural Cure to deal with Sleep Powder. Snorlax is also pretty good at taking hits from the set, and can retaliate with a Body Slam or a Return. Therefore, the Offensive set has plenty of checks and counters in the current metagame.

Roserade is an amazing pokemon, don't get me wrong. However, during this phase of the metagame, I don't see how it can be broken, and I think it should be at least test unbanned to see what impact it will have on the tier (hopefully a positive one)

The thing is, Roserade wasn't banned for not having counters, or for being able to spike stack. It was banned because the combination of a HUGE special attack which made switching into her very hard, and the fact that the exact things that are so easy to spike on are the most decent switches in UU. Blissey, defensive Snorlax, Umbreon, etc gets set-up on very easy, then Rest + switch. While I know that Roserade can't run Spikes + Leaf Storm, the combination of the two sets make everything in UU extremely uncomfortable, and if you switch the wrong thing into either set, either something take a bucketload of damage, or gets Spikes set-up. This is especially true when the few spinners UU uses are incapable of beating either set. Hitmontop has to run a shitty set (one with max SpDef) to "win," even though it still takes ~70% before it can even spin. Xatu is 2HKO'd by the offensive set, and its 2HKO'd by the defensive set if SR gets up. In total, there are no "safe" switch-ins on the defensive set, that don't lose to the offensive set and vice-versa. So while yes, it has counters, none of them can prevent the one-two layers of Spikes, or stop Roserade from just switching out after nuking or putting something to Sleep.

Cryogonal is a good answer to Roserade, but it has a huge number of flaws in UU. Its essentially Pursuit weak; it is SR weak, and has no room for misprediction because of its shitty typing and lack of Defense. Its also true that Cryogonal simply isn't that good in UU. As for revenge killing, firstly, it involves Roserade KO'ing a Pokemon on the opposing team or it involves taking 80% or more off of a revenge killer if its the offensive set, or you have a layer of spikes set-up, and the revenge killers will be worn down. Especially since Roserade has a fantastic time switching into a huge number of Water-types.

And, because of how common water-types /have/ to be in UU (because of Victini, Darmanitan, etc), Roserade has a nearly guaranteed switch into at least one Pokemon on nearly every team. Especially since U-turn Darmanitan and Victini synergize with Roserade so well.

Its very important to remember that Roserade wasn't banned because it had no counters. Roserade was banned because of its ability to hit things with huge power and set-up spikes was so tier-warping. It made UU ridiculously stale.

While I would love to make a Roserade team, its so much worse than that theorymon makes it out to be.

I hop here just to point out that every well built stall team in UU runs Sableye, who shits on CM Reuniclus. And TR Reuniclus is not that hard to play around and lacks Recover. So yeah Reuni is not a good answer to UU stall at all. Froslass was a lot more threatening for stall because of the insane pressure given by spikes + spinblocking + Taunt. Now that she's gone stall is very viable. Oh well I'm fine with that since it's my fav playstyle ;)

You do make some good points. However, I don't think a retest would hurt, considering the evolution of the metagame has made things harder for Roserade to be as effective as it was before.

Cryogonal has worse special bulk than Snorlax, let alone Blissey. It also doesn't have Heal Bell or Natural Cure. They even share the weakness to Fighting moves that are everywhere, and at least Blissey can take a physical hit because of that HP stat. It should never be compared in a positive light to the amazing blob Blissey is. Rapid Spin doesn't compensate for its shortcomings enough to call it good. It's situational at best.

Rapid Spin, 105 speed, Recover, decent special attack. That's some niches it has. I acknowledge it's no Blissey, but it's certainly usable.

Ok, so for the nice little Roserade discussion. I myself don't want to test it. Snorlax can switch in, and prevent it from setting up further more, but thats the only one. Metagross can switch in, but Rosy switches out, same goes for Crobat. Fegelein mentioned guessing the set, but being that most of the ppl playing UU doesn't know how to abuse sets thinking about the team, and just use the first smogon set they can find, making it hard to predict. I've been playing a little bit on PS (Made a bet with a friend, please don't flame at me), and Roserade is indeed a bitch. I took my team and changed 2 pokes to make a team that I feel comfortable with using while Rosy is around. But I met 1 good player, and he knew excactly how to deal with my little "core". The moral of this tiny little story is that there are just a few threats to Roserade, and if you're prepared for them, then your opponent is screwed :/

    I say don't test it.

Also, Cryogonal is beast if Offensive spin, works great with Nidoqueen ^

The argument of "it can just switch out" is never a good road to go down. Any Pokemon can switch out, unless it's been trapped by a move/ability. And since Gothitelle was banned and Dugtrio and Magnezone are both OU, there is virtually no trapping in the UU tier.

I spoke to TIWSS about it, and he said we should wait for the meta to settle down with Blissey and Reuniclus before retesting anything. So I think we should wait about June time before taking any action.

Omg in the tier that is trying to stray away from op hazards we do not need roserade.... who hands down wins over the 2 common spinners.

and cryo js is a joke, its 1 STAB pursuit away from being gone.... not to mention having a spinner weak to rocks sucks

do we not also need to bring in the deadly sui/roserade combo? roserad who can set up and take hits from all sui's foes. and sui who can milk the hazards and outright kill off teams w the deadly roar.

alright now my time to input my opinion on reuniclus/ blissey drop

Blissey is harmless, and so far as i have seen not really used much. It has not made a very drastic chance in a tier that already had umbreon (who serves similar purpose) the only new thing it brings to the table is special wall w rocks which is kinda nice, but otherwise. it makes no major tier changes.....

Reuniclus however is a pain in the ass.... this thing runs 2 deadly sets for the most part, CM and TR, miss predicting can be GG as both sets are deadly sweeping sets. I actually had to revamp my teams around this guy as he basically counters 60% of the meta.... i shun the ppl who didnt realize its potential in ou because now we are stuck w this stupid thing in uu... I am grateful thought that with a 6.25% usage rate... somehow not many people realize the deadly potential of this in uu either.

I'm more or less agreeing with Froggy on the drops. None of the Blissey I've come up against (about... 5, maybe?) have given me any problems. Strangely enough, I've seen no Reuniclus at all today. My ranking was just outside the top 100 at the time, so I should've been facing better people... right?
